Chapter 37 ~ Kraken Pt.3

The Kraken brought Sora over to the boating docks, where he gleefully tried dragging Sora into the very Tidal Wave he was creating! "I won't lose like that twit, Marilith! She tried to skewer you, burn you, and even blow you to pieces! I WILL TRIUMPH BY FORCING THE OXYGEN FROM YOUR LUNGS!" Kraken laughed.

As Kraken pulled Sora down, Sora managed to shove the Keyblade into the Fiend's eye, injuring him while Sora managed to free himself and swim upwards…

As he returned to land, Sora used the Thunder Spell on the water, hoping the spell would make short work of the villain!

As a large portion of the water was electrocuted, Sora dusted his hands while saying, "I hope that spell didn't spread throughout the ocean. If anything happened to anyone, I'd-."

Just then, Kraken burst through the seabed and said, "Foolish Brat! I wear a Thunder Gem, it protects AND absorbs Thunder!" Kraken then placed ALL his tentacles into Spell Circles, circles that surrounded Sora with magic-infused tentacle whips that have the Thunder Element on each.

Each of the tentacles lashed out at Sora, trying to electrocute him while he tried dodging as many as he could! As the onslaught kept Sora on his feet, Kraken looked at the Tidal Wave and smirked, "It seems someone is using magic to disperse my Tidal Wave, but knowing our allies, they won't take long to stop. After all, my magic is not so easy to quell…"

Kraken then revealed a free tentacle from his back, which cast a strengthening spell on the Tital Wave to move even faster towards the city…

Terrified, Sora yelled out, "THIS WHOLE PLAN IS CRAZY! THIS WAVE, ALL OF THIS, FOR MY HALO?! IS RESURRECTION ALONE ENOUGH OF A REASON FOR THIS INSANITY?!" Kraken nodded, "If it means getting revenge on the fools who defeated me centuries ago…yes."

Sora then focused his Blizzard Magic into his Keyblade and managed to dispel the tentacles, even freezing several of them together!

After Sora finished freezing the Kraken's arms, tying them each in ice while literally tying Krakens only means of blocking Sora!

Kraken, almost annoyed, could only witness Sora jumping out of the spell circles, and throwing his Blizzard-Tipped Keyblade at Kraken!

The attack froze Kraken instantly while Sora took a mighty swing, cutting the demonic villain in half!

But suddenly, a black mist suddenly burst from the frozen Kraken, catching Sora by surprise as it engulfed him and forced him to drop back into the water, while the black mist returned to the Kraken's form and began covering him in a black orb that pulsed while it sank into the sea…

Sora struggled in pain as the Black Mist did it's trick and began whittling down whatever strength Sora had left…

But just when things couldn't get any worse, that same pulsing orb from above appeared before Sora, and burst open to reveal a larger and more monstrous Kraken! His body was violet and red, his upper body was more human-like, and muscular with claws that could crush armies, and his lower half was nothing but thousands of tentacles that looked difficult enough to avoid, and lastly, Kraken's head was changed into a demonically-horned and yellow-eyed nightmare whose mouth looked big enough to swallow a whole submarine!

Remembering his trip in the Caribbean, Sora managed to swim away thanks to the propelling force of the Keyblade, which also presented a way to defend himself against the approaching tentacles…

Sora swatted and sliced through every tentacle that came his way, but as he deflected them, Sora felt the poison in his system weakening him to the point he could barely breath and fight.

Kraken took advantage of Sora's weakened health and threw a devastating punch, smashing him against the cement wall!

The Kraken then brought Sora out of the sea while dangling his body over his mouth…

"My Evil Mist was a coward's method, but then again, it DID earn me an easy victory against a sniveling little pest! The time is nigh, and Breakfast will be served…" Kraken said as he opened wide to feast on the weakened Sora…

"-KRAKEN, ENOUGH!"

Kraken looked over to see the one who called him out, and could only widen his eyes in fear while the approaching figure threw off their white robe…

Sora awoke with his vision in a haze. He rubbed them, and to his shock, his Keyblade was shoved right through the Kraken's chest! As Sora's vision cleared up, the Kraken's form changed back into his normal blue body…

Kraken however STILL wasn't dead, as he wheezed a sudden set of words, "...fools…we were…all…fools…"

Sora staggered back onto his feet and asked, "Did…I do this?! But you beast me, Poisoned me, just what did-?!" Kraken grabbed Sora's ankle and said, "You…and I…we are all…pawns."

Sora then asked, "Pawns?! What are you talking about?" Kraken explained, "...the Halo…it IS the key…to returning to life. But-(cough)...but there's a limit to the Halo's effect! (gasping for air) They don't…know…Tiamat doesn't kn-know…and yet…she is…she is the one who is more than willing…to kill for…the Halo…above your head!" Sora then asked, "Tiamat, is she one of the Four Fiends too?" Kraken answered, "Yes, and trust me, her power…it's not a simple element, or just two like me. Her power-(gack) no-NO, that's…not important. (gasp) Listen to me, Sora…we were all trying to return to life…we heard…from this enchantress…the Halo of a Summoned warrior…from the realm of the dead…could resurrect any…if the new master gained it…but-(cough-cough)...we were…we…"

Sora then asked, "You're talking about Toki, aren't you? Somehow, she must have manipulated you guys, just like Xehanort manipulated his own organization…" Kraken nodded and said, "She…deceived us…yes…d-don't…please…don't…be deceived…for our sake…"

And with that, Kraken passed away, disappearing into red and black dust like Marilith when she died…

Sora looked over to the enchanted Tidal Wave and watched as it dispersed, disappearing into the water while the morning sun appeared through the shrinking wave.

Sora wished he knew what was going on, other than secret planning and deception, but after the Kraken's death, all Sora could think of was taking a day off from school and spending it in bed…

As he walked home, Sora suddenly felt like he was missing something…

Sora searched his pockets, hoping he was wrong about such a feeling, but to his horror, something was indeed missing…

"...Kairi's Lucky Charm…where…WHERE DID IT GO?!"

Sora then rushed over to the docking bay he faced the Kraken in and dove back into the water, all while someone was watching…

Sora swam as far as he could, but he couldn't find the charm…

He even resorted to digging through the sand at the bottom for his charm, but before he could find any results, he was beginning to lose his air, and began to black out…

…but despite the loss of air, Sora STILL tried to find Kairi's charm, and put everything he had in his Keyblade, propelling the sand out of the way to try and find the charm…

And in a split second, he found Kairi's charm and pulled it out of the ground, and just as he placed it back in his pocket, Sora began to black out…

But the story wasn't finished for Sora yet.

The Keybearer felt someone breathing air into his mouth while trying to push his chest several times…

This was CPR, and clearly, someone was trying to help Sora before he died again.

The CPR managed to do its trick as Sora gasped for air, his hand on his chest while the other held his precious charm! As Sora sighed in relief, he looked at the woman who saved him….

She was a voluptuous girl about one year older than Sora, whose hair was brown and red, long and smooth, her breasts were larger than Sora's head, her sides were thicc, and her legs were long and soft, and she had blue eyes that almost sparkled with pink starlight…

"I…I don't know who you are, but if it wasn't for you, I probably wouldn't have come back out of the water! Thank you for saving me!" Sora said. The girl smiled and said, "Well, you were drowning, weren't you? It was the least I could do. I saw you fight that terrifying monster, you were very brave! To be honest, I felt…rather taken by such a man like yourself." The girl said, making Sora turn red from the very sight of her cute face.

Sora then asked, "W-well, thank you all the same. I-I should get going, I left a friend behind, and I'm a little worried about her!" The girl then wondered, "Are you talking about that half-naked girl in the white kimono? Well you can go back and check on her if you want to, but from the looks of things, you seem to be suffering from more than just a near-death experience. You look tired as Hell."

Sora then said, "No need to worry, I'm-...(ahem) I'm still up and able! After all, monster slayers like me don't let a lack of sleep stop us from saving the day."

The girl however asked, "Hey, I-I'm Kanzen. What's your name?" Sora answered, "Sora, pleased to meet you!" And as Sora ran, Kanzen blushed and smiled while saying, "Mmm...my kind of man…"
