Oak's Lab
One Hour Later…
Takuya got together the collection of Super Potions, Antidotes, Sleep, Burn, Freeze, and Paralysis Heal Potions together in the packs from the supplies that Tyler and Ash had picked up from the nearby PokeMart. He quickly brought the packs out to Tyler and Ash in the Dune Buggy. Tyler was sitting in the Driver's seat, Ash in the passenger seat up front. Kasi and Avery were waiting in the back, while Sparta and Venin were ready to hold on, standing on the running boards while Reaper sat on top of the cargo area, holding onto the roll cage.
"I got the supplies ready." Takuya said as he loaded the packs into the cargo area.
"Did anyone see you?" Ash asked.
"Nope." Takuya said. "The Professors are asleep, and the Balancers are busy in their international debate again. We're clear."
"Good, but that also leaves the question of how we get out of here without giving ourselves away." Reaper said. "If we start the engine, they'll hear the noise."
"Not if we push it for a bit." Sparta said. "If we get the dune buggy far enough away before we fire it up, they won't hear a thing. Throw it in neutral for a bit, Tyler. Venin, give me a hand."
With that, Venin and Sparta hopped off the running boards as Tyler put the gearbox in neutral. Tyler then disengaged the handbrake, and the duo began to push the dune buggy, breaking out into a swift run after several paces as they pushed it out of the lab's driveway, and down the road.
Once the dune buggy was several blocks away, Tyler gave the signal. "I'm going to fire up the dune buggy with a rolling start, it will give us more momentum, and we won't have to stop! Get ready to hop in, I'm popping the gearbox into first in three seconds…" Tyler turned the key to the run mode, and after three seconds, popped the dune buggy into first gear! Sparta and Venin stopped pushing as they heard the engine turn over, and hopped back onto the running boards! Once the dune buggy was running on it's own power and everyone was on board, Tyler floored the gas pedal and dumped the clutch! Tires squealed as the dune buggy peeled out with a roar from it's modest 2.5 liter V-6 engine as Tyler flew through the gears!
After the Dune Buggy peeled out, the lights inside the lab suddenly switched on! Tyler looked back in the mirror, and saw Dante storming out of the lab's entrance with the Oore Balancers and Oak! Dante was shaking his fist with rage, and Tyler couldn't suppress a chuckle as he heard Dante scream out his name in the distance once the Dune Buggy was in gear 5.
