Lily herded most of her children into the home. She was thankful that James had sent a Patronus to confirm that he had Harry and they were both safe.
She didn't even want to think about the nightmare with the Aurors. In fact, all she wanted to do was collapse straight into bed.
But when she stepped into the living room, she was struck by the cutest sight. James and Harry were cuddled up together on the couch. Despite how tired she was, she went to grab a camera to capture the image.
Shoo-ing the rest of the kids to keep them from waking up Harry and James, Lily got her photo of them both.
That would be going up on the mantle over the fireplace.
Tomorrow was Christmas and the whole family was together again.
"What did Harry do to my room?" Daniel yelled out.
Lily shook her head. Never a dull moment in the Potter household.
In another part of Godric's Hollow — two bats flew around exploring the neighborhood. One was flapping around and exploring everything as if it were new to him. The other was almost motherly, calling the young one back when he got too far or might hurt himself.
