The Green Wolf 9, "Ambers and Oaths."
(pow Arthur)
The screaming was coming from all around Arhtur, the wildlings lay on the ground pierced by arrows. He walked thru the smoke from the bonfires, Duty in his hand, cowered in blood. Arthur walked towards one of the wildling raiders, the boy tried to crawl away in fear.
"No, no, no please, I just want to go home." The boy pleaded, the boy was a few years younger than Arthur, yet he had long dark hair and a gaunt face.
"You had your duty, I have mine." Arthur said and pushed duty thru the boy's throat.
Arthur opened his eyes with a jolt as he breathed heavily, but he was not alone in bed. He locked over to his right and found Elyse completely naked, but she was still asleep, her arms around him and her legs interlocked with his. It took a moment for Arthur to remember what had happened the night before, they had married. He pushed the memories out of his head as he looked over at Elyse, he pushed one of her black locks of her face. This must have woken her as she hummed in delight and a smile spread across her lips.
"I can get used to this." She hummed as she ran her hand over Arthur's chest, pulling herself closer.
"Oh, me to." Arthur said as he pulled her to lay on top of him, but only now Elyse noticed his tattoo looking surprised.
"When did you get this, she said running her fingers over it." Smirking at him.
"Well, I was a little drunk, but I don't mind it." He responded running his hand thru her hair.
"Neither do I, I do actually quite like it, for my eyes only."
"Of course, Elly."
"What time is it? Could you go and look out the window." She said in a sweet voice.
Arthur sighed as Elyse rolled of him and lay down on her side, Arthur got up not bothering with clothes. He could feel Elyse's eyes on him as he walked to the window. He pushed the curtains away slightly as he looked out, it was almost midday.
"Do we have to get up or can we stay here for a few more hours?" Elyse said.
"It might be time to get up Elly."
(Pow Aegon, Pentos, 10 months after leaving Winterfell)
Aegon walked thru the markets of Pentos, he wore a dark cloak, covering his face. Ser Arthur did the same, but his hand was on the hilt of Dawn. They walked thru the chattering crowds, stopping by a few stalls. Then Aegon saw something that caught his eye, it was a small necklace with two interlocking chains and three interlocked circles hanging from it with a ruby in the middle. Not to mention that it was made of Valyrian steel, he knew that Danny would love it.
"How much for the necklace." He asked the old lady who owned the stall.
"Well, it's rather expensive my boy." She said in in a kind voice.
"How much then?" Aegon said in a polite tone.
"Ten gold dragons should be fair." She answered.
Aegon paid the old lady an put the necklace in his pocket, Aegon and Arthur walked down to the harbor. They looked at the many ships that loaded and unloaded their cargo, some bore sigils of Westerosi houses and others were plain. The hidden king and kings guard continued walking along the harbor talking about the different types of longswords. When the sun started to hang low, they started to walk back towards the manse. Halfway they walked past an alley, there was a fat boy that was getting robbed.

Danerys sat underneath a lemon tree, she was reading from a rather large tome about the rule of the conciliator and his good queen. She was currently reading about the early years of his rule, during his minority. She particularly liked how the young king and his sister for all intensive purposes had eloped and married for love. She wanted that, a home something like the house with the red door but her brother was right in one thing their only home was Westeros. But could her brother claim the throne? No, he could not, he had not the right all she knew only Aegon could claim the throne.
During the short time she had known Aegon he had only been kind to her, she could not help to think of what life as his queen would be like. He was handsome, a dark young man the same age as herself, even if his Valyrian features were subtle they were still there. His dark hair contrasted perfectly with his pale skin; he was also slim but well built. Marrying him would mean that Viserys would never be able hit her ever again. Her brother couldn't be a true dragon, but Aegon he was something else entirely. When he spared with ser Arthur he embodied what it meant to be a Targaryen.
She was pulled back to reality by a young female Lyseni servant, "Princess, your brother requires you in his quarters." Danny sighed heavily as she walked into the large manse, she entered her brother's chambers.
"I have great news for you sweet sister." He said manically, this unnerved Danny as she knew how short tempered, he could be when he acted like this.
"What is it brother?" She asked in a neutral voice, as not to upset him.
"Oh, my dear sister I have a way to take back my throne." He continued in his manic tone.
"It's not your throne, its Aegon's ." His face turned into horrible scowl and he grabbed her by her throat.
"This northern pretender is not a true Valyrian, I have betrothed you to Kahll Drogo and I will use his army to take my throne. If you tell Aegon about this I will lend you to every whore house in pentos to make sure you will please the Kahll." He shouted at her, when he was done, he let her go.
Danny left the room; she was not as afraid as she would have been before Aegon came to them. She walked past the gates on her way to the gardens to retake her place under the tree. Suddenly the gates opened, Aegon, Ser Arthur and a rather heavy sett young man walked thru the gate. Danny gave them a bright smile as she met them by the gate.
"Who is your new friend Aegon?" She asked in a happy voice.
"This is Samwell Tarly, me and Arthur found him being robbed down by the docks." Aegon answered.
"And what did you do to the robbers?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Well let's say there will be no open casket for them." Ser Arthur stated.
"Yes, that's all well and good, but why bring him here, considering he is from a Westeros is he safe to bring into the manse?" She asked them while looking at Samwell.
"Oh, no I won't cause you any problem, I am not welcome back in Westeros and I want to repay you." Samwell said in a kind tone.
"He will be our guest for now until we know what to do with him, now Sam asks one of the servants to find you some sort of quarters, I hope you and Danny would join me for dinner." Aegon said before he and Ser Arthur walked of towards the training area.
(A few hours later)
Aegon, Danny and Samwell sat around a round table in one of the mance gardens, they had just finished the main course of fresh caught squid. Himself and Danny had been asking him about his childhood.
"So, you are of house Tarly? How was it growing up in the reach?" Danny asked.
"Oh yes I am the eldest son." Samwell answered.
"Then Sam, why are you here and not in the Reach?" Aegon cut in.
"Well, my father didn't want me to inherit our lands and Heartsbane, our Valyriansteel sword. How did you get your hands on Blackfyre?" Sam asked looking over to Aegon.
Aegon looked over to her for approval to tell Sam, she did not think of Sam as a dishonorable man.
"It's your choice, but I like him." Danny said kindly as she gave Sam a broad smile.
"I will tell you if you swear on the gods not to tell a soul." Aegon said Firmly.
Sam paused for a moment before he nodded, "I need you to swear it." Aegon said.
"I swear it by the seven to not tell a soul."
Aegon sighed deeply then looked at Sam "I am Aegon Targaryen." Sam did not look very surprised, he must have put two and two together.
"But I thought you were dead, killed during the sack of kings landing by the mountain." He said with an obvious hint of curiosity.
"No, I am the true born son of Lyanna Stark and Rehgar Targaryen."
"But I thought Rehgar kidnapped Lyanna Stark?"
"No, they were in love and they eloped, the high septon apparently annulled my father's past marriage."
"Then where did you grow up, if I may ask?"
"In Winterfell as my uncle's bastard." Aegon answered
"He hid you in plain sight that's rather clever, well anyways I will serve you in any way you want or need." Sam said seriously.
Then the dessert was served and all of them got refills of sweet wine. Danny watched Aegon and Sam talk about Winterfell. She seriously started to think of the future, she knew Aegon should be king, and he would do a far better job than Viserys. Aegon was also a true warrior unlike her brother, this might ern him the respect of loyalist lords in Westeros. That would mean she wouldn't need to marry the Kahl, and she would be open to marry who she wanted. She knew she wanted safety away from cutthroats sent by the usurper. The only viable way to truly be safe was to claim the iron throne. Then the first and most pressing problem was to get Aegon to actually claim the bloody chair.
When Sam left for his quarters, Aegon sat in silence as if he was thinking deeply. "Aegon, I need to talk to you about something."
"Oh, Sorry Danny I was thinking about home." He said kindly. "We can speak undisturbed in my quarters." He stood up and pulled out her chair for her, they walked into the manse followed by the single Kings guard.
They enfettered the large room with a huge bed and large windows, there was also a large comfortable sofa. Aegon removed his sword belt, he leaned Blackfyre against the bed. Aegon sat down in the sofa and Danny quickly joined him.
"Danny, what is so important that we needed to speak alone." Aegon asked kindly as Danny sat down beside him.
"Well, my brother doesn't seem to, how did Ser Arthur putt it?"
"He doesn't remember the line of succession?"
"Exactly he told me earlier." Dany said looking down at her hands remembering being choked by her brother.
"Danny did he do anything to you?" Aegon asked as he tock her hands into his.
"He choked me, and he threatened me." She as tears started to flow down her cheeks.
"Danny don't cry." Aegon said as he pulled her into a comforting hug. "What did he threaten to do?"
"He said he would loan me to all the whore houses in Pentos." She said between her sniffles.
"Why would he do that?" Aegon asked.
"He has betrothed me to some Dothraki Kahll, he said he wanted to make sure I could satisfy him." She said no longer crying.
"He can try but he will have to go thru me and Ser Arthur, I will never force you to marry anyone without your consent."
"Swear it." Dany said.
"I swear it, and I do have a present for you." Aegon said with kind smile and he let go of her.
"Really, what is it?" Danny asked while she wiped away her last tears.
Aegon pulled a beautiful ruby studded necklace of Valyrian steel out of his pocket. "Do you like it?" He said as he held it in front of her.
"Its perfect, I love it" she said in a giddy voice. "Can you hang it around my neck?"
"As the princes commands." Aegon reached his hands behind her neck trying to fix the clasp, their faces were just a few inches apart. Danny looked into his deep dark eyes; she couldn't help her self but to run her hand along his cheek. When he was done clasping the necklace, he looked down into her purple. Aegon tried to pull away but Danny put her arms around his neck and kissed him. At first, he did not kiss her back, but soon she lay on top of him.
She did not leave the room until early next morning with a smile on her face, Ser Arthur doing a poor job to hide a small smile when she left Aegon's room.
(Pow Arthur Stark)
Arthur Stood by his horse in the Winterfell courtyard, it was filled with men and their horses as the king wanted to hunt in the Wolfswood. It had been around a week since he and Elly had married, it was a nice change of pace to have her with him most of day and all of the night. For her part she couldn't keep her hands to herself when they were alone. But it made her very happy and she had an almost constant smile on her face when they were together. She would be joining them on the hunt, as she wanted the chance to show him her skill with her bow.
Arthur was attaching his quiver and bow to his saddle when Elyse entered the courtyard. She had apparently raided his closet, as she was wearing one of his old sets of hunting clothes, but she had one of his undershirts. This was to have a modicum of modesty as it covered her ass. Her hair was in as simple northern braid that she had been preferring since they married. She was carrying her own much smaller bow and quiver.
"Hello there love, what do you think of my hunting outfit." She said and spun a slowly in front of Arthur.
"Oh, I love it." Arthur said with a small grin.
"I bet you do." She said flirtatiously, then she looked around the courtyard as if looking for someone. "Where is Ranger, shouldn't he come with us? He would love to run around the forest." She said fondly as she had bonded with the little pup, she would spend the evenings by the fireplace in their champers on a fur reading with ranger beside her. The pup had also learnt that Elyse was the one to beg for treats, as he often got her leftovers.
"He is still too young to hunt, so he will stay with Bran today, but let's go get your horse."
They walked into the stables and walked to one of the larger pens where a black mare was stabled. Arthur saddled the horse that was named "Borumunda". When they where on their way out with the black horse they noticed Arya dragging a saddle that was far to big for her to lift.
"Arya what are you doing." Arthur asked.
Arya jumped slightly in surprise. "Oh, I wanted to join the hunt."
"Weren't you supposed to be socializing with the Princess." Arthur asked.
"Yes, but that's boring." Elyse chuckled slightly at this, she looked at Arthur with a kind smile.
"Let her ride on the back of my horse, we can't force her and she would already be late anyway." Elyse said an gave a little wink to Arya, the little girl giving a bright simile to her god sister in return.
"Fine but if father says otherwise she stays." Arthur staid, Arya rushed forward and gave both of them a hug each.
When they were outside Elyse mounted her horse like a lady, Arthur then lifted Arya up on the horse. Arya sat behind Elyse with her arms around her waist. Arthur then mounted his own horse, and the three rode together towards the gate. Sitting on their own horses was the King and Arthurs father.
"Arya you are supposed to be with your sister." His father said sternly looking over at Arthur with a questioning look.
"She is boring." Arya responded.
"Just let her join us Ned, she has my leave." The king said in his booming voice. "And that's my daughter, joining her father on a proper hunt."
"Of course, I wanted to show my husband how much I have learnt about archery."
"Well, let's hunt some stag."

Danny was sitting in the library with Sam, it had been about two months since her and Aegon's night together. She and Sam had been reading about the rules of Aegon the Conqurer and Maegor the Cruel. Their own Aegon had left them a few minutes ago for his daily three-hour spar with Ser Arthur. Aegon had now started to fight in full plate male, he could move seamlessly in his suit of battered armor that he loaned. Later this day they would have a little feast for Aegon, as he was turning seven and ten name days. She was reading about the black brides, as she suddenly felt very sick. She bent over and threw up all over the floor.
"Danny!" Sam said in shock rushing to her side.
"Thank you, Sam." She said when he helped her back to her feet and he also handed her his handkerchief.
"Danny how are you feeling?" Sam asked in a kind tone.
"Fine but I have been feeling of for a few weeks, it was the first time that I threw up however." She explained.
Sam seemed to be deep in thought, until he seemed to realize something until his face became serious. "Danny, can I ask you a personal question?"
"If it has to do with this." She answered.
"When was the last time you had your moon blood?" He asked her nervously.
She began thinking closely about when the last time was and she hadn't had it after she slept with Aegon. "Not in two months." She said in a weak voice.
"And have you? you know." He asked visibly cringing.
"It just happened it was the day you arrived, when me and Aegon where in his quarters."
"You need to tell him; he has a right to know." Sam said.
"Yes, but what will I do when Viserys finds out, he might beat my child out of me." She said in a fearful tone.
"The more important to tell him." Sam responded in a comforting voice.
Later at the feast Aegon sat in an elevated place of honor, in the gardens with very few guests. Her brother looked like he had bitt down into something sour. She herself did still fell a little sick, but she wasn't going to throw up. Even if the smell of fish was a bit too much for her. The first of the gift givers was Illyrio, he gave Aegon a deep bow.
"Your grace, I have here for your gifts fit for king and warrior." Illyrio said formally. He gave a small wave of his hand and two chests. The servants opened the first box, they lifted a black suit of armor, it was made into the liking of Prince Rehgars armor. Its rubies and polished black metal gleaming in the evening light.
"Thank you, my honorable host for the armor, I will make sure it comes to good use."
Then the servants opened the other box and they revealed three beautiful stones, in different colors. "Dragons eggs, your grace for a dragon." Illyrio said and made a deep bow. The two boxes were carried away and then a middle age man stepped forward. "The histories of Daeron the dragon and his conquests, for your enjoyment my true king." The man bowed and then handed the books to Ser Arthur.
"Thank you, my lord may I ask your name?" Aegon asked.
"Aye you may my king, I am Ser Jorah Mormont of bear isle." Ser Jorah said formally.
"Aye I have heard of you my lord, you won the joust at Casterlyrock, you married a Hightower girl who proved to expensive for you and you resorted to selling poachers into slavery, am I wrong?"
"That is true your grace." Ser Jorah answered.
"And you were banished?" Aegon asked.
"Yes, your grace."
"Yet, you called me true king and therefore I want to ask you to join me on my travels. I am in need of more good fighting men."
The knight bent down to his knees before Aegon. "I swear my sword and my life to you my king, without deceit, by the old gods and the new."
When it was over, she sat alone in her quarters, her hand on her stomach where she knew her child grew inside her. She thought of what to do, but she decided that she needed to tell him as fast as possible, as it would not be long until she would begin showing. She exited her room dressed in a red and black nightgown. She snuck thru the corridors until she reached Aegon's rooms. But ass always the loyal Kings guard stood outside, but he had seen her exit Aegon's room the night he put her babe in her, she thought. He wouldn't bat an eye and just knock on the door for her to let her in.
She walked up to the Knight who tried to hide a small knowing grin. "God evening Princess, should you really be walking around in your nightgown?" the knight asked.
"No, I need to speak with Aegon."
"So, you call it speaking nowadays?" He japed.
"No let me in now Dayne." She said getting angry.
"You are lucky I have a soft spot for young Targaryen princesses." He said with a smile and opened the door.
Danny walked into his all too familiar quarters, glancing over to the sofa and then his large bed. She then looked over to where Aegon stood by the wash basin. He stood there washing hiss face, only wearing his black pants. He turned around and gave her a kind smile.
"Danny, why aren't you in bed?" Ae asked grabbing a black shirt from the bed, putting it on.
"We really need to talk." She said seriously.
"Alright sit down on the bed."
"Danny what is it, is it your brother again?" he asked in his kind tone.
"No, you have given me a gift, you have given me a child, I'm pregnant." She said nervously.
Aegon eyes went wide and his face went completely pale.
"Do you think me ugly? Do you think me a horrible person?" She asked now with tears in her eyes.
"No, I am afraid, what will happen to the child what life would it live. If he is born, he will be hunted by our enemies for the entirety of his life. " Aegon said seriously.
Danny realized that this moment was a crossroads between the throne and the eventual death of their house. "Then we reclaim the throne, we make sure our children and their descendant's rule with fire and blood." She said running her hand up towards his face. "Make me your queen." She continued, "Make our son king after you." She ran her hand under his shirt, "And I will give you a daughter to be his queen." She kissed him softly on the lips. When the kiss broke up, he said "Well let's get married then."
Aegon called in Ser Arthur into his chambers and the knight almost looks surprised to se that the both of them were still dressed. "Arthur, it appears we will have a new queen, so go retrieve Ser Jorah, Sam and I am in need of a septon."
(Pow Arthur Stark)
Arthur rode in the Kings hunting party beside his wife and Robb they had been riding for a few hours. Arya who rode on the back of Elyse's horse, had not stopped talking since they left the gates.
"How do you like Winterfell?" Arya asked.
"Well, I get to live with the one I love, that is enough for me." Elyse answered with remarkable patience, as Arya had been pestering her with questions about the capitol.
"But why did you move to your own corridor, do you not like us?" Robb gave Arthur a teasing smirk at this question.
"No, we just needed the privacy." Elyse answered.
"Why?" Arya asked, Elyse most likely thinking that Aryas questions were getting too private looked over to Arthur for support.
"Arya, can't you tell Elyse about your Dire wolf." He said, and Elyse mouthed thank you.
Then suddenly on of Stark household rode up to Arthur's father. "Me lord, your son bran has fallen from the broken tower."
Arthur had never ridden so fast; the kings entire hunting party rode back at full speed towards Winterfell. When they arrived to Winterfell, Arthur, Robb, Elyse, his father and the king ran towards Brans quarters. In the corridor they found the entire Stark family, that had stayed in Winterfell.
"Cat, what happened?" His Father asked.
"He fell from the broken tower, that's all we know."
Authors note: Happy new year my dear readers, I hope you have had a good and safe Christmas. Soon we will go into the war of the five kings, then the focus will be on Westeros and the Essos story will be taking a back seat.
And I felt the need to make The Danny and Jon love story short. Ass I spent so long on Arthur and Elyse, I felt it better and I wanted their marriage to different. Also, I wanted to give Aegon/Jon a good motivator to actually claim the throne.
