Leaning over the side of the boat, Natsu kept his composure despite the nausea feeling in his stomach. "Never thought I'd have to go through this feeling again but one thing for sure, I don't miss this feeling" Turning his head, he didn't have to say anything out loud seeing Lucy's expression on her face. "She didn't want to come back anymore than I did. We'll do what we need too and that's all" Remaining silent, they stayed that way until the boat made its port in Fiore. Tying off the boat, they put their cloaks over their heads as Lucy got down on her knees to help Nashi put hers on. "Keep this on Iggy okay" she whispered. Nodding, she grabbed Lucy's hand while they started walking again.
Walking through town, nobody batched an eye at them and just let them walk through. "A year ago, we would've been swamped by people the minute we stepped on port and saw our guild marks. Heh we don't look the same anymore" thought Lucy looking at Natsu's long hair and her brown hair. She sighed when they came upon a familiar sight "Magnolia" the thought echoed through their heads. "Let's stop in here, I'm not in a rush to get back there" Natsu muttered ushering them inside while lucy and Nashi grabbed a table. Grabbing a seat at the bar, he ordered one drink and sat there.
"We just need to figure out why we were brought back here and then we can get out of here and back into hiding." Tapping his fingers on the bar top, he sipped slowly "I'm not seeing any signs of them but we shouldn't linger, we need too..shit" Natsu muttered to himself digging his hand at the bar and putting his hood up.
"Yo, what's up, Figured I'd grab something quick before heading off on to the guild" "Hey, no problem Gildarts, here ya go" A goblet of ale slid down to him as Gildarts picked it up and took a swig out of it.
Setting it down, he let out an pleased sigh and sat down at the bar. "Pretty quiet today don't you think?" "Ha, compared to your guys's guild and the craziness that you guys cause every day. I'd say this is pretty peaceful. " A loud thump of a mug hitting the bar top grabbed their attention making them both look at the end of the bar. "Hey, you got a problem there friend" Natsu glared under his hood and slowly lifted it off "Woah, hey , is that you Natsu?. I'm surprised you're here and not at the guild. Did you just come back from a job" He asked rashly before looking at Natsu again and noticed that something looked different about him.
"I've been gone for a year Gildarts" "A whole…huh! What do you mean that you have been gone a year, where's Lucy, your little girl?" His jaw dropped in complete shock. He narrowed his eyes and looked over at Layla who glared at Gildarts keeping Iggy's head covered. "I'm. I'm sorry Natsu" With his head down, he slipped a few bills on the bar counter and slowly made his way out of the bar. Once he was sure Gildarts was gone, an irritated sigh escaped Natsu's lips going over to Layla and Iggy.
"We need to get out of here. Come on you two" Quietly, they slipped on out and with a look, knew where they needed to go. "Was hoping we could just get this over with and be gone already" "Yeah so was I but we both knew there was no way that was ever going to happen" "Tch, we just need to hurry up. That's all" Making their way there, he kicked open the guild doors. "So which one of you sold us out"
"What.." "Natsu, is that ?.is that Lucy" Murmurs were heard all throughout the guild hall as the sound of a tray with glasses fell to the floor. "YYouu..guyys, you came back. Wwe..we thought the worst"
