Wolf- no, that's what summer wants the marines to consider themselves as while on Remnant, instead of being angels of death. If you recall Daniels asked Adler what the group of marines was called at the end of last chapter. Also, summer doesn't lead them. Adler does. He takes and carries out orders from her. The former huntress's return to Remnant is close my dear friend. Soon, the missing Rose will march home with an army to back both her and her daughters.

"Order of the silver rose?" Summer asked Adler. "Fitting is it not my lady?" Dixon asked as he and two other marines escorted her, Daniels, and Adler. The former huntress had to duck her head and lower her hat to hide the blush that was forming. However, said blush vanished as the group came across more marines with bulkier armor.

"Who are…?" Summer began to ask. "they are space marines, but they are wearing terminator class armor." Adler said Unlike the regular space marines, whose armor was completely red. The terminators' were white with red puldrons, shin, and forearm armor. Summer's emblem was colored white and was on both puldrons. The emblazoned rose remained silver while the wings were instead colored gold.

One noticed the group and bowed slightly, having noticed Summer. "My Lady. We are prepared to die in both your name and for the people of Remnant. Summer smiled slightly before approaching the terminator marines.

"Can you and your squad mates do something for me?" the squad of marines were surprised, but nodded. "Pass this onto the others within your ranks, be it ones with your armor or regular space marines. You are to consider yourselves not as angels of death but as the angels of hope to my people."

The marine bowed once more. "It shall be done my lady." He said motioning for his squad to move out. Presumably to do the task the "holy leader of Remnant" gave them.

Summer's smile vanished as a hulking bipedal metal robot rounded a corner, the helmet of a terminator space marine visible in its center. The beast of a machine had a gatling gun on its right and an arm mounted minigun on its left. Its body was mostly red with white and black accents. Summer raised an eyebrow.

"Dreadnoughts?" she heard Daniels ask Adler. "You know Summer won't approve of them being in her chapter of Space Marines." Summer turned to see Adler shake his head. "I said the same thing to the council when they approached me with the idea Daniels. But they said that according to her tales of the Grimm and the stronger types of them would require heavier armored units, one of which being dreadnoughts."

"What are they?" Summer asked. Daniels looked at her but said nothing. The former huntress could tell he was wincing. "They are… space marines who've cheated death, my lady." Dixon said cautiously having seen his holy leader's companion being reluctant to tell her. Apparently the idea of half dead space marines wouldn't sit well with her.

"Cheated death?" Summer asked as her hat shadowed her eyes. "I know it's cruel and inhumane, but it's how the imperium works." Dixon said. 'how can they do this?' Summer thought as a hand touched her shoulder.

"Summer it's ok." Daniels said squeezing his leader's shoulder in reassurance as the dreadnought took notice and inclined his head to his "holy leader" before lumbering off.

Composing herself, summer turned to Adler, a serious expression on her face. "any other units joining the permanent expeditionary force?" she asked.

"Let's see. There's at least two regiments of Tallarn Desert Raiders." Adler began listing off the units that would be joining the 863rd Death Korps and the Order of the Silver Rose space marine chapter.

'I could deploy those two units to Vacuo.' Summer mused. "Then there's a regiment of Catachan Jungle fighters." Adler continued. 'Probably to Mistral.' The former huntress continued to think. "That all?" Daniels asked. Adler shook his head.

"No," the chapter master said. "the council's also deploying five regiments of Tanith first and only to join the expeditionary force as well as a new unit." This caused Summer to raise her eyebrows. The council was this serious on repaying her that they'd send not one but FIVE regiments of their most elite scout units to Remnant with her.

Summer glanced at Daniels who, despite wearing a mask, she guessed had an expression similar to hers. "What's the new unit?" the Krieg captain asked after composing himself. "The council called them Remnant's Tundra Recon." Adler said

Summer frowned. "they named it that in your honor Summer." Adler said. "they've also.. made sure that they be taught to worship both the god emperor, and your brother gods." Daniels smirked. "I'm guessing some of the higher-ups didn't like the idea of a single unit worshiping three deity's." he said. Adler nodded. "especially that Icarus guy." He said. Dixon frowned

"Icarus?" the space marine captain asked. "a commissar that tried to get me stripped of my rank and take my place as leader of the 863rd." summer said bitterly at the memory

FLASHBACK BEGIN

Summer stood before the council members whom were visiting to inspect the Death Korps, her Death Korps. Nicholas' death was still fresh in her mind as it'd been two weeks since her in-field promotion. She watched Adler handle talking with the council as she didn't feel comfortable talking to them in her new position. Something that Adler was in the middle of explaining.

"Adler, may I ask why you are reporting instead of Nicholas?" one of the councilmen asked. "Commissar Reiner was killed two weeks ago sir. Before he died, he made Ms. Rose his successor." One of the higher-ranking commissars glanced at her. "if she is in charge, then why are you speaking for her?" he asked. "She's still coming to terms with her new position, and has asked me to be her voice until she's ready."

The Commissar nodded accepting this explanation. "unacceptable." Came a voice. "Commissar Black what an honor." Adler said with a hint of disdain. Summer frowned hating this guy already. "Reiner is a disgrace for putting a heretic in charge of his unit." Black said.

"Harboring her is one thing, but to pass the position of command to an unknown heretic is another. He's a disgrace to the Imperium. I suggest we strip her of her position and send her home without her little expeditionary force, or better yet execute her. Furthermore, I take command of the 863rd." the irate Commissar said.

Summer was about to argue when Daniels stepped forward. "She deserves our help commissar." Icarus turned to face the guardsman in shock. "If you wish to execute her, you'll have to go through me first." That's when two more guardsmen joined him standing in front of summer. Then the three became eight as more Kriegsmen joined Daniels in defending Summer.

"You'd dare defy your superior?" Icarus said. "Not defying, defending." Daniels said removing his helmet. "Guardsman, what are you doing?" a Commissar asked as Daniels began to remove his mask.

Despite the odd feeling of not wearing his gas mask, Daniels continued with his actions. "By removing my mask and hooking it to my belt, I solidify my allegiance to Commissar Summer Rose." He said unsheathing his shovel. If you want to kill her… your welcome to try. I'll gladly die in her name despite fighting for the holy emperor." The high-ranking commissars, and Adler watched in shock as the rest of the Kriegsmen followed Dainels example. Some even put their helmets back on and aimed their rifles at Icarus

"This is treason!" Icarus yelled out as Adler chuckled. "it's not treason if they're defending their leader, Black besides D-4231 made it pretty clear who his boss was."

END FLASHBACK

"I noticed that most of the marines and dreadnoughts are mobilizing." Daniels said. "Ah, yes. It's time we go." Adler said. "Go?" Summer asked. "To Remnant. You're good with speeches yes?" the chapter master asked making the former huntress blush.

'Brothers above!' Summer thought seeing the amount of soldiers assembled. She could see the entirety of the 863rd as well as the Order of the Silver Rose.

Summer took a deep breathe and exhaled slowly. "You all understand why you're here. you're going to face a threat the likes you've never faced before. But coming with me has a price. This trip is one way." The former huntress said as the last bit caught everyone's attention.

"this means you'll never see your parents, or relatives again. So, I'm giving you all a choice. Those with parents or relatives that you don't wish to leave behind may leave and be transferred to other units. No one deserves to be separated from their families." Summer said.

"most of them have either told their parents that they wouldn't be coming back nor have any parents." Adler whispered to her. Summer side glared at him.

Summer watched in amazement as no one moved to leave. Some did shift in their stance, but the only ones to remain rigid and unmoving was the 863rd Death Korps. "we're with you to the end Commissar Rose." Daniels said speaking for the entire Korps.

"Very well." Summer said closing her eyes as the portal to remnant opened

"Death Korps, Forward March!" Summer yelled out walking towards the portal with Daniels and the rest of the 863rd following suit.

Soon the other units followed the Korps example, marching onto a new world and into a new conflict. As they did the council watched. "May the emperor watch over your campaign Commissar Rose."
