Chapter 1: Congrats are in Order
Just Prior to 2401 (Star Trek Picard: "Bounty")
Fleet Musuem
"It is my honor and privilege to bestow the Fleet Museum on Althan Prime into the hands of Commodore Geordi LaForge." Bruce Maddox, retiring from service in Starfleet, hands a PADD to Geordi. "Computer, transfer all command codes of Daystrom Station to Commodore LaForge. Authorization Maddox-One Seven-Inigo-Xena." "Transfer conplete. The Fleet Museum on Althan Prime is now under the command of Commodore Geordi LaForge." LaForge looks at Bruce, "I relieve you, sir." "I stand relieved."
Geordi then takes a glass and offers a toast, "To the Enterprise". Picard, Riker, Troi and others congratulate. "Now, I have two jobs: the Daystrom Institute, where I'm co-CEO with Bruce and my wife Leah and here as well. I hope my beautiful daughters can help me with both." Sidney adds, "And Brett, wherever he is." Everyone chuckles. "Thank you all for coming".
Dr. LaForge kisses her husband. Geordi LaForge greets his friends from the USS Victory, USS Hood, and the Enterprise.
"Congratulations, Geordi." Picard shakes his hand. "Thank you, Admiral. If you'd like, I can give you grand tour of the star ships docked here." Nodding, "That would be wonderful" Picard replies.
"There might be some friends we haven't seen in a long time." LaForge said. "I'd be dying to see some old friends," Picard replied.
