Kamen Rider Mythos

Myth 10: Rise of the Messenger

Thousands of Years Ago

The nights had been cold recently, ever since he had duped Zeus. He walked through the ruins of the village where he had taken residence, reflecting on his situation. The great war between the Olympians and the Titans had nearly destroyed the whole world, and despite his best efforts to keep humanity out of it, they had gotten caught in the crossfire.

With the end of Cronus's rule, humanity had been left ravaged, having lost all gifts from the Titans. Humanity had clung to what had remained, but had been required to give the best parts of their meat to Zeus. Prometheus let out a breath, the cold of the Earth even getting to him as he passed by some humans, huddled together to try and get warm.

While the Olympians had allowed him to walk free as he sided with them during the war, he began to question if his betrayal of Cronus was the right call. He had been acting as a messenger, trying to convince the humans who prayed daily to the newly established Olympians that the gods still cared about their creation. Yet the humans still paid tribute to Zeus.

He grew frustrated, tricking Zeus into claiming the worst parts of the meat, which would allow the mortals to continue to thrive, but Zeus retaliated by snatching the flames the mortals used for warmth and nutrition. Prometheus knew why the humans were ignored: the Olympians were still splitting up the spoils of war, deciding who ruled what.

As he watched a human collapse, running over to help the poor man up, he found himself balling his fist in rage. Were the Olympians so blind to the plights of humanity that they let them suffer? First the meat, and now letting their creations freeze? As the man thanked him and began on his way, Prometheus knew he couldn't stand by and do nothing; he would go once more to where he was forbidden to go, Mount Olympus! It did not take him long to get there, not for a Titan like him.

He knew where the fire of Olympus would be; Zeus would never let a trophy go undisplayed. As he approached it, he looked around, none of the Olympians being around to stop him as approached the torch that held the flame, taking hold of it and throwing it towards the Earth, Prometheus already beginning to feel the warmth back in the air. He needed to get back to Earth to see how humanity was reacting to having the fire of civilization once again.

But he didn't go anywhere, hearing a chuckle from behind him, "Look brothers, a lost guppy is trying to sneak into the big ocean." Prometheus turned to see Poseidon leaning against a column, an amused smile on his face, "Poseidon? Please just hear me out about this!"

Poseidon simply chuckled as a sharp pain went through Prometheus's chest, the tip of a spear lifting him up as he heard an annoyed grunt, "You were told one thing Prometheus, never come here again." Prometheus turned slightly to see Hades staring up at him, a look of almost disappointment but also glee on his face, "Hades, please have mercy, I was just trying to help humanity."

Hades flicked his spear, throwing Prometheus across the room, "We know you foolish Titan, you always had a soft spot for humanity, it's why we let them suffer until you could no longer contain yourself." Prometheus felt his chest healing as he stood up, "What are you talking about? You knew I would do this?"

A lightning bolt appeared, striking him as Zeus appeared in front of him, wrath in his eyes, "You see Prometheus, we began to realize something after we let you and a few of your kin live, that you would rise again and try to start another war, so slowly we've let you all screw up your agreements for amnesty so we could then punish you like we did Cronus."

Prometheus's body filled with electricity as he fell to his knees again, "But I would never, I wanted to honor the agreement we made, please just grant me mercy just this once." Zeus scoffed as he sent more lightning through his body, "Oh Prometheus, we would consider it if it wasn't for the fact that our Mother recently said the same thing, and then betrayed us."

Prometheus's eyes went wide, "Rhea would never do such a thing, she loves her children." The lightning stopped for a moment before the trident of Poseidon shot forward, stabbing his knee and pinning him to the ground, "Yes we thought so too, then she caused a sea of problems by trying to find our Father's body, so unfortunately she needed to be imprisoned too."

Prometheus grit his teeth as his other knee found itself stabbed by Hades spear, the newly crowned God of the underworld walking forward, "It was then we realized our mistake, if we are to protect each other and this world, humanity itself, we couldn't allow you Titans to roam free, any of you, ally or not." Prometheus found himself nearly passing out as he looked at Zeus, wrath still in his eyes, "Leave him to me Brothers, I will make sure he receives a punishment befitting the crime."

He couldn't handle it any longer, the pain overcoming him as Prometheus passed out, unsure what fate awaited him. He wasn't sure how long he'd been unconscious for as Prometheus slowly opened his eyes, he felt something attached to him and a cold surface as he looked around.

He was chained to a rock, shirtless and in front of him stood Zeus, his arms crossed. Prometheus looked at the King of the Gods in distress, "Zeus please, I betrayed Cronus for you, I am no threat, I am your friend."

Zeus sighed, "You were my best friend Prometheus, ever since we met when I was but a teen, but my Mother was my Mother and she betrayed us too, so I'm afraid I cannot risk anything based on a past friendship. My Brothers wanted something much crueler, but I decided on something that I believe will fit you perfectly." Prometheus heard a great trembling as a massive eagle appeared, landing next to Zeus and glaring at him, Prometheus shaking in fear, "Zeus please, whatever you have planned just spare me, leave me chained here for eternity I don't care, but please spare me from what you have planned."

Zeus calmly shook his head, "The humans believe that the liver holds emotions, and if you lose your liver you become emotionless and uncaring, you and I both know this isn't true, but I feel considering your crime being the result of your emotions that this is the right punishment for you."

He turned around and began to leave, the Eagle beginning to approach him and bending down. Prometheus let out a loud scream as the Eagle ripped into his body, beginning the painful process of devouring his liver as he screamed in agony. Zeus stopped for a moment and turned back towards the screaming Titan, "By the way, since you'll regrow your liver every night, the Eagle will be back daily to continue this little ritual, until the end of time."

Prometheus continued to scream as Zeus left, his thousands of years of punishment beginning. However as much as he wished he could say this was the end it wasn't, periodically the Elder Brothers visited him, telling him of his fellow Titans and their punishments.

Atlas being forced to carry the world on his back, Helios confined to a realm without any sun, only pure darkness. His sister, Selene, was wiped away from existence outright after sacrificing her immortality in an attempt to save her brother. Krios, one of his closest relatives, was imprisoned in Tartarus where he would burn for all of eternity.

Not just his siblings were punished. The Gods unleashed Pandora, "blessed" by the gods, onto humanity, bringing with her a jar full of the worst the Gods had planned for the mortals as punishment for Prometheus' personal actions. He saw the mortals flourish in population and spread across the earth. He thought his torture was over, after Heracles had freed him, but Zeus saw to it that his freedom was taken away once again. All of this was ebbing away at his sanity until what was left was a hatred for the Olympians.

Eventually though the brothers stopped visiting and he was left alone for 500 years, his only company being the eagle who would devour his liver and whatever else it felt like that day. He counted the days, how many days he had been imprisoned, thoughts of revenge filling his mind until one day the eagle didn't come.

His rusted shackles breaking as he fell to the ground, his pain seemingly over as an arrow whizzed by his head, a piece of paper attached to it. As he read the note from his one true queen, Rhea, he knew it was time, revenge was coming and he would tear down all the Olympians had built.

Present Day

Prometheus was lost in thought, sitting his chair that he had stolen from that pathetic Apollo's home, a slight tremble going through his body as he remembered his torture. He was shaken from his thoughts by a commanding voice, "PROMETHEUS ARE YOU LISTENING!?"

Prometheus's head snapped towards Rhea who glared at him, "Yes my Queen what can I do for you?" Rhea scowled at him, "I was asking what your current plans were since Aphrodite has managed to weaken mentally that mortal who runs around as Mythos." Prometheus put a hand on his wrist, trying to stop his trembles, "I honestly haven't given it much thought my Queen, I hadn't been sure if Aphrodite had been finished with her plans."

Rhea narrowed her eyes and slammed her fist on the war table they were all seated at, no one noticing the jar containing the orbs of the Olypians falling over, "Prometheus I have been patient with you, considering your ordeal and personal punishment from the Olympians, but I have had enough with this incompetence, either do something or I will be putting you back on that rock."

As she said this, it all came rushing back, the pain and horror he felt that he had so tried to repress came back. The anger at being punished by the Olympians, the abandonment he felt because the humans never cared about what he did for them, it all rose to the surface. He shot up from his seat, the chair going flying into the wall, 'You want me to do something? Very well I shall! I promise you Queen Rhea that by the end of this week I will vanquish one of those pesky Olympians in Mythos's possession, I will completely snuff out their existence no matter what."

Rhea said nothing as Aphrodite giggled slightly, "Come now Prometheus, you and I both know it's not possible to kill an Olympian, just take your punishment now before you embarrass yourself." Prometheus glared at her, "Then I will make it possible, even if I have to do something unforgivable I will eliminate an Olympian. Now come along Krios, you're going to help me with this."

Krios said nothing as he began to follow Prometheus out of the temple, Prometheus unsure if he could back up his claim but it didn't matter, he said it would happen so he would make it so. As they left, none of the Titans noticed one lone orb roll of the temple and fall through a hole, disappearing into the Earth below, an Olympian had escaped, but would that really matter considering the plan Prometheus was forming?

Hikaru Kinami walked with his head down, he wanted to avoid any attention really as he left for classes. It had been two weeks since Aphrodite had tried to break him mentally, and while he understood Mizuki and Taiga had been under a spell, he couldn't help but feel a bit self conscious about what was said about him during those events.

Mizuki kept trying telling him daily that she didn't actually think any of the things Aphrodite forced her to say, but he had still unintentionally distanced himself from her. He had to be honest with himself, he relied too much on her and Taiga too, he needed to become more independent.

As he walked, the Gods appeared beside him, Ares with the usual annoyed look on his face, "Alright it's been a few weeks since the whole incident, time to stop moping Hikaru." Hikaru shook his head, "I'm not moping Ares, I've just recognized my faults and have decided to better myself."

Hephaestus frowned at him, "Yes, bettering yourself by ignoring the fact that you're upset and pushing away your best friend and brother because you're afraid of potential conflict." Hikaru let out a small sigh, "I'm not pushing away anybody, I'm just trying to become more self sufficient, besides I can't push away Taiga, he's out of town on a modeling job anyway."

Hikaru arrived at campus as Apollo finally spoke up, "Look Hikaru as much as she annoys me, I even agree you shouldn't be pushing her away. I get that wicked Aphrodite really messed you up mentally, but you just gotta let it go and talk to Mizuki about this." Hikaru slightly chuckled, that was rich coming from the God that Ares regularly called the God of pettiness.

As he walked towards his class he heard someone running towards him, turning around to see Mizuki stopping to catch her breath. She looked at him, a look of concern and annoyance on her face, "Hikaru you left without me again, I thought we were going to walk to campus together today. I went by your home and your Mom said you left already so I ran here, I was hoping we could talk."

Hikaru offered her an apologetic look, "Sorry, I forgot to tell you I really needed to get to class early, to talk to the professor about an assignment." Mizuki frowned and crossed her arms, "No, I think what's really going on is you're avoiding me. Hikaru we really need to talk about what happened with Aphrodite, you keep saying it's fine but it's really not, I said and did a lot of hurtful things to you while under her spell, and I know I keep telling you it's not what I actually feel but you aren't believing me and I need to know how I can convince you I'm being honest."

Hikaru shook his head, the Gods going silent as they didn't want to offer their comments to Mizuki and betray Hikaru's trust, "I'm not avoiding you Mizuki and I've told you a million times I believe you." Mizuki let out a sigh, "Hikaru yes you are, I can tell you are considering Apollo's face looks like he wants to blurt something out that I imagine will either be stupid or confirm everything I've been saying. Taiga and I are worried about you, Aphrodite didn't hold back on her attack." Hikaru frowned, "Is that why Taiga almost canceled on going out of town?"

Mizuki nodded slowly, "I had to yell at him to go, but he made me promise to take care of you while he was gone." Hikaru's hand curled into a fist, her taking care of him was exactly why he was in the current mental state he was in, he could take care of himself but everyone seemed to think wrong, even he thought wrong. Before he could respond, something caught his eye as he turned to the street next to them, a green glittery orb rolling down the street.

Apollo raised an eyebrow, "Is that?" As they watched they saw a group of Tartarians chasing after the glittery orb, causing Hephaestus to nod in agreement, "An orb containing the soul of Olympian? Seems so." They stood there perfectly still for a moment, none registering the situation as it seemed rather random until Ares exploded, "Don't just stand there, go after it kid!"

Hikaru jumped quickly before turning towards Mizuki, "I'll see you later Mizuki, I gotta get that orb." He began to run after the group of foot soldiers, leaving her to sigh, that was one way to avoid the conversation. Not that she could really blame him, he didn't have control over what had just transpired.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Mythos finished off the last Tartarian with his bow, dusting off his hands as he found the green orb sitting on the ground, "I wonder which God is in this one?" Apollo let out a chuckle, "Maybe we'll get lucky and it's Uncle Poseidon or Uncle Hades, a real powerhouse on the team would be good."

As Mythos approached the orb he heard a giggle as Aphrodite appeared beside the orb, "You killed my precious soldiers, don't worry I think I'll take this orb back as a consolation prize." Mythos quickly aimed his bow at her, pulling back the string as the words from two weeks ago echoed in his head, "Aphrodite, what are you doing here?"

Aphrodite smirked and bent down to examine the orb, "Now now boy, don't point that at me unless you really intend to use it, and for the record this one managed to escape so I planned to reclaim it. We're just lucky that we realized quickly it had fallen to Earth." Mythos tightened the hold on his bow as Apollo screamed in his head, "Shoot her Hikaru! Shoot her right between the eyes!"

Aphrodite gazed down at the orb and smirked, "I imagine Apollo is screaming at you to shoot me, he's so predictable. Though I do wonder what Olympian is contained in this orb." Mythos shot an arrow at her, passing through her, he had forgotten that wouldn't work on her.

He frowned under his helmet, "One who won't be falling into your hands again." Aphrodite giggled again as she stood up, seemingly leaving the orb alone, "Look at you, using your big boy voice. You're right though, I won't be taking this one, it's useless to us so you may have it." She winked at him before disappearing in a pink light, leaving Mythos confused as he canceled his transformation, "Why would she just leave the God here?"

Hephaestus appeared and frowned, "Aphrodite never does something without purpose, it's best we proceed with caution." Ares scoffed as Hikaru approached the orb, "Oh please Hephaestus, it was probably just some minor god that Aphrodite thinks isn't beautiful." Apollo nodded in agreement, "I agree, any God that Aphrodite thinks isn't useful is useful to us."

Hikaru picked up the orb, causing it to glow slightly as a figure emerged from it. He wore an elegant white toga, with a green cape wrapped around him, wings on his sandals and a gold helmet with wings on his head. He stretched and yawned, "Finally, I never thought I'd be able to come out of there, oh hey there brothers."

Ares and Hephaestus both nodded at the god, as Apollo smacked his face in disappointment, "Oh great it's Hermes, he always annoys me." Hikaru raised an eyebrow, "Why? He doesn't seem so bad?" Apollo crossed his arms, "I have my reasons." Hermes smiled as he approached Ares and Hephaestus, "Big Bro Ares! Have your muscles gotten bigger? Big Bro Hephaestus! It's so nice to see you on the forge, you look so much brighter outside of it."

Hikaru looked at Apollo in confusion as both Ares and Hephaestus began to chat idly with Hermes, "I still don't get it, he seems fine, even Ares likes him." Apollo frowned, "I have my reasons to want to have nothing to do with him." Hikaru nodded slowly, "Right, so what reason do you have to hate him so much?"

Before Apollo could respond Hermes turned towards them, moving towards Apollo and trying to pull the taller god into a hug, "Oh let me guess why my eldest and favorite brother is annoyed at me, are you still mad over the cattle thing? No wait, was it because I accidentally caused a potential lover to die? Hmmm no that's not it, oh is it because I convinced everyone to change their names and lied to you that we had started a new pantheon? Ah the Roman Pantheon, my favorite prank I've played on you."

Hikaru raised an eyebrow, "Wait, the entirety of Roman mythology was caused by a prank on Apollo?" Hermes let out a loud chuckle and nodded, "Of course why do you think he's the only one who didn't have a different name? Oh we really had him going for those centuries, fun times. Wait, you're a mortal with my brothers, that must make you the new Mythos?"

Hikaru nodded, "Uh yeah, I'm Hikaru Kinami, it's nice to meet you." Hermes smiled and went to shake his hand but remembered he couldn't, "Well it's lovely to meet the mortal chosen by my illustrious big brother, you must be impressive if Apollo picked you." Apollo scoffed and glared at Hermes, "Enough with your brown nosing, it's not going to work on me, especially if you can't remember why I'm angry with you. Hikaru, if you plan to partner with him too then don't rely on me anymore."

He retreated into his orb, leaving a confused Hikaru and a laughing Hermes, "Oh he's always such a drama queen, Father should've made him God of drama instead of healing." Hikaru sighed, nothing would be solved by standing out in the opening like this, especially if the Titans changed their minds about letting them keep Hermes. He frowned and began to walk towards his home, hoping he could reason with Apollo once he was back at his apartment.

Thousands of Years Ago

Apollo walked through Mount Olympus, he was furious and he was making sure his father would hear about it. As he approached Zeus's temple he flicked his wrist, a blast of light blowing the doors open as he entered, Zeus sitting on his throne, "Apollo what can I do for you today my son?" Apollo glared at him, "You can deal with your latest hellspawn that's what!"

Zeus looked at him confused, "Apollo, do you know how little that narrows it down?" Apollo frowned, "Hermes, that little snot stole my sacred cattle to mess with me and when I found them he decided to slaughter them after giving them back, all without an ounce of remorse." Zeus sighed, "Oh right, Hermes already told me that he did apologize and give you a new instrument that he invented."

Apollo held up the instrument and nodded, "Yes the lyre is very nice, but he clearly didn't feel any remorse because he killed the cattle after apologizing, and he continues to do so every time I heal them." Zeus frowned, "This isn't going to go away until I do something is it?" Apollo crossed his arms and nodded, "Either he gets punished or I get some sort of further compensation."

Zeus frowned, "Very well, I can't punish Hermes, but I suppose I can grant you something. There's a new city that is growing larger by the day on Earth, it has yet to have a patron Olympian, it's yours to claim, provided you don't come to me again about Hermes."

Apollo put a hand on his chin and nodded slowly before pausing for a moment, "Well that does sound nice, but I already have Delphi. Father a request then, allow me to share the city with Artemis, she's always wished for one even if she won't admit it." Zeus nodded and waved his hand lazily, "Yes yes that's fine, now can you just leave me, I plan to go down to Earth for some uh business."

Apollo chuckled, "Just try not to bring back any more children from your business Father or Hera might finally snap at you." Zeus chuckled as well before disappearing in a flash of lightning, leaving Apollo to go find Artemis. He found her practicing her archery as he arrived, watching her land a perfect bullseye, "Apollo, please tell me you aren't here to complain about the new hellspawn, because as much as Father's new children annoy me too, I've learned to not question Father."

Apollo shook his head, "No, well not anymore. That annoying whelp did play a trick on me, but because of that Father has gifted something to me, well technically us." Artemis fired another arrow, "What do you mean us? Apollo, what did you drag me into this time?" Apollo held up his hands in defense, "Nothing bad, Father just offered me patronage of a new city that's growing fast, and well I already have Delphi and seeing as you don't have a city yourself, I asked him if we could share it."

Artemis dropped her bow as she looked at her twin, her eyes actually lighting up, "Wait you're serious? You and I are going to be the Patron Gods of a new city?" Apollo nodded, "I figured since you know, you're usually just included in the other cities but never given the spotlight, this could be something we share as twins."

He was expecting her to say no, but to his shock she walked forward and embraced him, "I would be honored to share this with you, and here the rest of our siblings claim you're just known for your looks, you have a big heart too." Apollo patted her shoulder and smiled, "Only towards you sister, now come, let's go check out our new City." The two walked away, neither aware behind a pillar Hermes stood, a smile forming on his face. If Apollo thought that last trick was annoying then he just needed to wait, he had something even better cooking.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Present Day

Prometheus paced around, trying to come up with some sort of plan as Krios leaned against a wall, crossing his arms, "So not that your little outburst wasn't amusing, but claiming you can kill an Olympian is a little bold. What's your plan for that?" Prometheus frowned, "I'm not sure honestly, I was just so overcome with anger that I made that foolish wager."

Krios sighed, "Well what's got you so angry?" Prometheus scowled and punched one of the walls, his hand going through it, "I am tired of losing, I will defeat those pesky mortals myself." Krios frowned, "Something tells me this isn't about the mortals, Mythos is annoying sure but that's not who you want to kill is it?"

Prometheus shook his head, "No, I want to kill Zeus himself and all his damn spawn. He imprisoned me, tortured me and told all his spawn that I was the villain for helping humanity, he sat atop Olympus while I got my liver eaten everyday and night. It has taken me a few moments but I think I've figured out a way to do what I said I would."

They heard a giggle as Aphrodite appeared, "I doubt you could, you and I both know that the Olympians are immortal, no matter how hard you try." Krios scowled at her, "What do you want, Aphrodite? Please don't Prometheus further, he's already doomed himself because of you." Aphrodite shrugged as Prometheus ignored her, "I just thought you should know that during Rhea's outburst one of the Olympians managed to escape and the orb fell to Earth. It's in Mythos's possession now but considering the God inside I doubt he'll be of any use, Mythos won't end up fighting with him."

Prometheus began to chuckle at this news, turning towards the two, "Excellent, this is perfect then. I believe that I have an idea on how to eliminate an Olympian, now if you'' excuse me I must go, I intend to achieve a physical form." He began to walk away as Aphrodite smirked, "He really isn't holding back, he intends to do this, oh well I'll be curious to see how this goes."

Krios frowned, "He's putting his all into this because he knows Queen Rhea will put him back on that rock if he fails. I do hope for his sake that he succeeds in whatever idea he's cooked up." Aphrodite shrugged and turned to leave herself, it made no difference to her if Prometheus killed an Olympian, the only thing that worried her is if they really weren't as immortal as they all thought.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Hikaru Kinami watched as Ares and Hephaestus spoke happily with Hermes, filling him in on all the events he had missed and the adventures they'd had aiding him with his Mythos duties. He turned though to see Apollo watching from the corner, a scowl still on his face. Hikaru went over to him, hoping to try and talk to the sun god, "You know I'm not gonna team up with him without your permission, you're my partner first and foremost, that's not gonna change."

Apollo's scowl broke slightly as he nodded, "It better not, you and I are too perfect of a team for you to replace me with that whelp." Hikaru frowned, "I have to ask though, what is it that annoys you so much about him?" Apollo sighed, "Well besides one specific incident that he doesn't seem to remember, he's just annoying, if he's not playing some kind of trick on me, he's never leaving my side and calling me big brother all the time. If he's not causing misfortune for me, he's being a clingy little brother and it gets tiring dealing with him when he plays the perfect messenger God to everyone else while he's a trickster to me."

Hikaru nodded slowly, "I know you Gods aren't the best at sharing feelings but have you ever actually tried talking to him about this?" Apollo looked at him and glared, "I don't know, you aren't the best at sharing your feelings but have you actually tried talking to Mizuki about how you're feeling?"

Hikaru went silent, his gaze falling to the floor as Apollo realized he'd crossed a line, "Hikaru, I'm sorry I didn't mean that." Hikaru didn't look at him as he began to turn away, "I'll say one last thing then I'll stay out of it, Hermes is the youngest brother, and as someone who's a younger brother himself, sometimes we just want the older brothers we idolize to just notice us sometimes."

He turned and walked away, slamming the door of his room, leaving Apollo to retreat into his orb; he'd never considered what Hikaru had said. He had a lot to think about now.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

He had kept to himself for about an hour before finally exiting his room again, Apollo being nowhere to be found as the 3 other Gods had continued to talk. Hephaestus waved to him and gestured for him to come over, "Come join us little brother, Hermes actually had a question that we thought you might have some insight in."

Hikaru nodded and walked over, sitting down on his couch, "You think I have insight on something?" Ares crossed his arms and nodded, "Hermes was wondering something about the orbs since our souls are contained in them." Hermes nodded, "So does anyone actually know what actually happens if our orb breaks?" Ares glared at his younger brother, "I don't think that can happen kid, pretty sure these things are indestructible."

Hephaestus put a hand to his chin and thought for a moment, "I think they can be broken, but I would assume that would just free us from these prisons. Is there a reason you were wondering Hermes?" Hermes nodded slowly, "Well you said the Titans have targeted you guys a few times, and I remember Father mentioning that once your soul is linked with a physical object it's a big deal, so I was curious."

Hikaru frowned, "I don't have a concrete guess, but if I think back to some myths like Meleager… I don't think we should let it happen, I'd rather not find out it has negative effects on any of you." Hermes shrugged, "I suppose that's fair, you're as smart as they said you were Hikaru." Hikaru smiled slightly before turning towards Hermes, "You know Hermes I had a question since Apollo is too Apollo to ask, why do you like to trick him so much?"

Hermes crossed his arms, "I guess, when I was a kid whenever Father would visit me he'd tell me about my siblings and Apollo always seemed the coolest, a kind and warm guy who just liked to enjoy himself, he sounded like the personification of the sun himself. Then when I met him, there'd already been so many little siblings he didn't have room for another in his heart, so I guess I started trying to mess with him in hopes I could get his attention, but I think in the end I only ended up making him hate me more than anything."

Hikaru nodded, "I figured that's what it might be, I was curious though what made him so angry besides just petty tricks?" Hermes sighed, "It's not my proudest moment, but I know why he's so angry with me. Hikaru tell me, have you ever heard of the City of Apollemis?"

Hikaru raised an eyebrow, "No actually I haven't, it's never come up in any mythology or history books." Hermes frowned and nodded, "Yeah, that's probably my fault, you see it all started thousands of years ago when both Apollo and Artemis were the Patron Gods of this city." As he began to talk, his mind slowly flashed back to the time Apollo finally snapped at him.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Thousands of Years Ago

The city of Apollemis was bustling, having developed quickly in just a century, it becoming a large city full of life rivaling that of Athens and Sparta. Things were good as Apollo and Artemis watched over the city, the two enjoying the fact that the city saw them as their patrons, their protectors and beloved Olympians.

There was just one problem however, just as the twins themselves were as different as night and day, so was the city. Divided into two groups, one for Apollo and one for Artemis, though neither had been hoping for that, they couldn't directly intervene and make the two sides worship them together.

From atop the hills that looked over the majestic city, the two Gods watched over their people, Apollo simply relaxing in the sun, "Well this is nice, once they finally started to get along." Artemis nodded in agreement, even she was feeling more relaxed than usual, "Though I do worry that the littlest thing could trigger the fighting again, I will admit that it's nice to have a city worship me for more than just being the Goddess of the hunt."

Apollo sat up and looked at her, noticing a small smile on her lips, "It's nice to see you smile every now and then sis, you're always so serious, I'm glad I had this idea." Artemis rolled her eyes, "I'm only serious because one of the two of us has to be. If you stopped messing around all the time then perhaps I could have some fun every now and then." Apollo chuckled as he stood up, stretching, "Oh really? If you're being serious then I'll be happy to be the serious one for a few centuries while you try your hand at being the fun one."

Artemis thought for a moment, "Tempting but I don't think you have enough control for even just one century to be the serious twin." Apollo frowned before nodding, "I don't think I can disagree with that, I'd get bored after 50 years or so." Artemis smiled again, crossing her arms, "Interesting, Apollo the mighty sun god admitting he couldn't do something. Oh how will your ego survive?"

Apollo let out a snicker, "Even more interesting, Artemis the magnificent moon goddess making a joke, oh what would happen if your hunteresses found out." Artemis let out a small laugh as she shook her head, "If you dare tell them then I'll have you strung to a rock and have a wolf feed on you everyday like father did the Titan Prometheus." Apollo held up his hands in defense, "Woah there sis calm down, I won't tell them."

Artemis sighed and looked at him, "Apollo, in all seriousness thank you for this. I'm glad we could share this, because contrary to popular belief I do enjoy spending time with you." Apollo gave her a lopsided smile, "Yeah yeah, love you too sis, even if you barely admit it." As the two looked down at the city, falling into comfortable silence, a lightning bolt appeared as Zeus arrived behind them, "Apollo, Artemis, as much as I hate to break up this lovely moment, there's some business that you two are needed for on Mount Olympus."

Apollo frowned, "Oh come on Father, are you sure you just aren't jealous of our nice little sibling bonding? If you go visit Uncle Hades and Uncle Poseidon I'm sure they'd love to have a moment with you." Zeus gave him a soft smile, "Oh but my son, why would I do that when we can have some nice Father/Son/Daughter bonding time on Olympus where I do actually need you right now."

Apollo nodded slowly while Artemis crossed her arms, "Let's not anger Father, come Apollo we can watch over the city once we do whatever it is Father needs us for." Apollo nodded and they disappeared into lighting with the father of the gods, leaving the area quiet, that is for a certain messenger god who appeared from behind a rock. He chuckled to himself, "Such a nice moment, almost makes me want a twin myself. Oh well, time to prepare my greatest trick for Big Bro."

He jumped from the hillside, as he descended he shifted into an innocent young man, wrapped in a cloak and hood. As he landed he got to work, moving towards where Apollo's followers were having a meeting, each talking about various issues that they seemed to blame Artemis's followers for, "Why do they get better homes?" "Yeah their food is better too?" "It's because Artemis is the Goddess of the hunt, they're more successful at hunting than us."

Hermes snickered as he spoke from the crowd, "It's not fair, why don't we try and demand some of their food too." The crowd began to get loud and excited as Hermes left, the mob beginning to form as he shifted again, transforming into an older man armed with hunting tools as he went towards where Artemis's followers met. As he arrived they too were complaining about their opponents, "Why do they get more sun than us? Their crops are so much better?" "Their healers always refuse to help us, it's not fair. "The festivals they throw always have better music too, I want some of those instruments too!"

Hermes did what he did before, letting out a loose comment to get them angry, "Maybe we should go demand their healers start healing our sick and injured too!" The crowd began to agree as they started to walk towards the center of the city, Hermes getting into a vantage point to watch, they were going to argue and start praying to Apollo which would annoy him and then he'd have to deal with all his annoyed followers. The perfect trick, wait why were they starting to fight?

Hermes watched as one of the followers from which side he wasn't sure fired an arrow, killing another as the two sides began to fight. Deciding he needed to stop this he went down in his disguise and tried to get between the two sides, "Calm down friends, Apollo and Artemis wouldn't want us to be fighting, let's just all calm down and negotiate."

This didn't particularly work as someone seemed to stab him from behind, the two sides running at each other, beginning to slaughter each other. Hermes used the opportunity to disappear as he went back to the hillside, he watched for a few months as the city slowly descended into civil war, his harmless trick had rolled into full civil war and he gulped as he knew his elder siblings would kill them if they found out he caused it. He flew off, hoping that he could escape before the two came back, not realizing he had dropped his staff as he left in a hurry.

It took a few years, the civil war raging on as Apollo and Artemis finally arrived back on the hillside, Apollo yawning as they arrived, "I swear these meetings get longer and longer every time, Father kept us for at least 5 years on Olympus over some silly worry the Titans could potentially escape. Hey wait didn't this hillside used to be greener?"

Artemis nodded slowly as the two approached the edge, seeing the city having been mostly burned to the ground and destroyed, a group of humans leaving the city with goods and riches. Artemis looked in disbelief, "What happened here?" The two heard dirt crunch as a dying human staggered towards them, "You must flee, they'll kill you too." The two approached the dying man, the man not realizing they weren't human as Apollo caught his falling body, "What happened here?"

The man coughed up blood, "Civil war, the two groups kept fighting over the Sun God and Moon Goddess and it caused the city to be destroyed and the Sun God's people slaughtered anyone who worshiped Artemis, it was a horrible 5 years." The man died as Artemis gripped her boy, drawing an arrow from her quiver, "They slaughtered my followers did they, then they'll die themselves." Apollo tried to get in front of her, "Sis just calm down, there has to be a reasonable explanation for why this happened, when we left things were peaceful."

Artemis said nothing as she released an arrow, and another, multiple arrows all at once descending upon the survivors of Apollo's worshippers until every single one died. Artemis holstered her bow as she glared at her brother, "There is no reasonable explanation, your worshippers had an ego just like you and couldn't handle sharing something with anyone else. You and your ego caused this Apollo and to think I was actually happy that you shared this with me."

Apollo shook his head, "No, this wasn't me, I've been on Olympus with you this entire time." Artemis glared at him and pushed past him, "You're a horrible liar Apollo, do not speak to me, do not come near me, I never want to speak to you again." Apollo fell to his knees as she left, knowing that in that kind of mood she'd listen to nothing he had to say.

As his eyes fell to the ground he noticed something on the ground, a small golden staff with wings and snakes on it. Rage filled his body as he realized what had happened, appearing on Olympus with blinding speed Apollo destroyed the doors on Hermes temple, walking in to see his younger brother sitting on his throne, "Oh hey Big Bro what brings you here?" Apollo growled as he threw the staff down before him, "I know what you did!" Hermes nervously chuckled, "Oh you found out about my latest trick? Look at the time I gotta go, see you later."

He began to get up to leave but Apollo shot forward, grabbing him by the neck and slamming down on the floor, slamming him down multiple times as Hermes cried for mercy. Apollo just saw red as he continued, "I am tired of you and your dumb tricks, I am going to beat you to a bloody pulp!" As he raised Hermes up to slam him down again a lighting bolt shot at him, causing Hermes to be dropped, "That is quite enough Apollo."

Apollo turned to see Zeus entering the temple, a neutral look on his face, "Father he deserves this, he caused Artemis and I's city to devolve into civil war and destroy itself, he deserves what's coming to him." Zeus sighed, "Hermes, is what he says true?" Hermes nodded slowly, "That's what happened, yes." Zeus frowned, "I don't have time for this petty squabble between siblings, Hermes apologize to Apollo and never play another trick like this again on him."

Hermes nodded, "I'm sorry Big Bro, I really am." Zeus nodded, "See there, now Apollo please go about your duties, the sun won't raise itself." Hermes tried looking at Apollo, an unreadable expression on his face, "Big Bro Apollo, please just let me tell you what happened." Apollo glared at him, "Do not speak to me again, because of you Artemis is angrier at me than I've ever seen her. As far as I'm concerned you and I are done."

He began to walk out of the temple, Hermes crawling into his throne as he felt a pit in his stomach. After that day Apollo never spoke to him again unless he had to, and the two's sibling relationship was broken from that day further.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Present Day

Hermes finished telling the story as Hikaru sat there, "Artemis talked to Apollo again after a 100 years or so but I never found out how he got her to forgive him, all I know is he's never tolerated me again." Ares nodded in agreement, "Yeah I wouldn't talk to you either if you destroyed Sparta, accident or not." Hikaru frowned, "Hermes, did you ever tell Apolo what happened?"

Hermes scoffed at him, "Kind of hard when he won't even look at me." Hikaru took off his glasses and glared at the messenger, "Did you ever actually try? Because look, you didn't mean for this to happen but it did, so did you ever actually try to explain to Apollo and sincerely apologize?"

Hermes shook his head, "No, no I never did. I was too ashamed at what I'd done to ever try." Hikaru nodded and stood up, "Then I think you should go and try, I'll even go with you if you want." Hermes shook his head, "No, I should speak to him alone, but I appreciate the offer."

Hikaru nodded as Hermes began to head towards the roof, knowing that Apollo always liked places that were high up. He began to gather his thoughts, hoping his eldest brother would listen to what he had to say.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Prometheus felt a shiver down his spine as he arrived at the rock he was imprisoned on for so long. The chains that held him even remained as he stood where Zeus had stood so many times to taunt him. He closed his eyes, calling back to all the negative feelings he had when chained to this hellish place, the brief hope he was free when he met Heracles being denied by Zeus.

As he stood there he heard a squawk, turning to see the eagle that had tortured him for so long approaching him. He smirked and held his arms out wide, "There you on my friend! After so many years I feel like I have the right to call you that, are you back for another tasty meal? I know I know, I was freed and you were denied the best meal you'd ever known, well here I am, but before you try I got something to say."

The eagle seemed to ignore him as it swooped at him, intent on devouring his liver as it once had. However it was stopped as Prometheus began to glow and grabbed it by the beak.

The Titan smiled as the eagle squawked in anger, "I am going to destroy Olympus, every Olympian will die by my hands, then I will usher humanity into a new golden age, they will love me again, and do you know what bird? You will aid me in my quest!"

The two were engulfed in a red light, Prometheus starting to laugh as a new being emerged from the fire, half man, half eagle. Prometheus chuckled as he examined his new body, wings now being on his back; he felt smarter, faster, and importantly, stronger, "Oh did I miss having a physical form. I don't care about the potential consequences, this physical form will allow me to finally kill Mythos." He stretched his wings and began to take off, intent on keeping his vow to kill an Olympian, the eagle driving his aim.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Hermes arrived on the roof, finding Apollo floating near the edge, his lyre in his hands as he strummed it absentmindedly. Hermes approached him, trying to break the ice, "Boy you really like that thing despite me inventing it." Apollo barely turned around as he heard Hermes approach, "It's the only good thing you've ever done, now go away Hermes I don't want to see your face."

Hermes frowned and floated next to him, "I'm not going anywhere so you may as well keep playing until you decide you want to talk." Apollo said nothing as he continued to play, Hermes patiently sitting beside him as he said nothing, the minutes passing by before Apollo finally spoke, "You just being here is throwing off my playing so just spit it out."

Hermes chuckled, "I just wanted to explain myself after all these years. Big Bro the reason I tricked you constantly is because I was always a bit jealous of you, ever since I was born Father told me about the great Apollo, a personality as big as the sun and just as bright as light. I looked up to you and wanted to be by your side as I started my duties as a god, but by the time I got here you were already tired of having so many half siblings that you wouldn't look my way at all, so I decided to start tricking you, figuring that your ego would never let it go and you'd have to pay attention to me. But I think I ended up going too far."

Apollo nodded and crossed his arms, "Gee you think?" Hermes sighed, "That civil war, it got out of hand, I just wanted to start some petty arguments that would force you to answer some prayers of your people, but I underestimated how heated they'd get and it spiraled from there, I'm sorry I could never admit it to you, I was too afraid you'd get ever angrier at me for being so stupid."

Apollo frowned, "You know whelp, I could forgive a lot, the tricks, the annoying little brother act, everything else. But where I draw the line is you caused irreparable damage to my relationship with Artemis, you don't mess with the twin bond, I've learned to let a lot of things go, and one of those things is having any kind of sibling relationship with you."

Hermes shivered at how cold and emotionless he sounded, getting up as he nodded, "Alright I understand, I was just hoping we could start over and maybe you could forgive me eventually but I understand I crossed the line." Apollo was about to say something but a feeling of coldness went through him as he turned towards a frightened Hermes, "Do you feel that?"

Hermes nodded slowly, "Such intense hatred and despair, what is that?" Apollo shook his head, "I'm not sure but it's something powerful, Hikaru we need to go!" Appearing from the stairs Hikaru nodded, "Ares and Hephaestus already told me, let's go." The three quickly began to go down the stairs to the ground floor, unsure of what they were about to be faced with as they headed out towards the powerful enemy.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Screams could be heard as Prometheus swooped down on the city, killing them as his wings, sharp as razors, cut easily into nearby vehicles and homes, leaving the husks to the side. His eagle side was quite voracious for the despair brought from the destruction; it helped that he believed humanity had gotten weak from the so-called "modernization". He laughed with glee as he continued to rampage, "Oh it feels therapeutic to finally be able to do this myself."

The sound of a motorcycle filled his ears as Hikaru arrived, getting off his bike and looking around at the carnage, "What happened here?" Prometheus laughed as he landed in front of him, "Hikaru Kinami, so glad you could finally join me." Hikaru's eyes went wide, 'Wait Prometheus? What happened to you?" Prometheus flexed his wings as he smiled, "Oh this? I decided I'd had enough of letting the grunts do my dirty work so thanks to that eagle who tortured me for years I decided to show humanity who they should be worshiping instead by myself."

Hikaru looked at him in horror, "Prometheus listen, I know Zeus wronged you but this isn't right, humanity is only here today because of you, we can solve this peacefully." Prometheus laughed maniacally as he shook his head, "The humans will live in peace once we dispose of you, Kinami." He shot several feathers at Hikaru who dodged as Ares appeared, "He's not gonna listen to you Hikaru, but put me in and I'll kick some sense into him."

Hikaru nodded as he pulled out his driver, placing it onto himself, "PANTHEON DRIVER!" He pulled out Ares's orb as he held it up to the driver, "Ares lend me your power!" Ares began to pulse with flames as he appeared behind Hikaru, "I always wanted to fight a Titan, this is a dream come true." He scanned the orb as it sprang to life, "ARES ORB!" The driver began to chant,

"What's beyond the chains?! Break freeeee!"

"What's beyond the chains?! Break freeeee!"

Hikaru wasted no time, slamming down on the button on the driver as Prometheus seemed to wait for him, "HENSHIN!" Fire engulfed him as Prometheus smirked as he was getting what he wanted, "Fight Hard! Defend your glory! (The War God!) Ares Frameeeee! Yeah!"

Kamen Rider Mythos Ares Frame emerged from the fire as Prometheus didn't give him a second to breath, flying at him and hitting him hard, sending the rider flying into a wall. Mythos stood up as heard Ares groan in his head, "Ugh he hits harder than I thought." Mythos summoned his swords and charged the Titan, throwing the swords at him and trying to slash at him several times, the chains they were connected to being engulfed with flames with each slash.

Prometheus dodged them all as he finally grabbed one of the swords, "I grow bored with this." He pulled on the chains, causing Mythos to fly towards him as he found his face connecting with Prometheus's fist, sending him rolling onto the ground. Mythos got up as Prometheus chuckled, "I was expecting more from the war God, color me disappointed."

Mythos let out a labored breath, "Time to change tactics then." He pulled out another orb from his belt and held it up, "Hephaestus lend me your power!" Hephaestus appeared behind him, arms crossed, "I suppose it's time for me to tag in." Mythos scanned the orb on his driver, "HEPHAESTUS ORB!" Mythos slammed down on the button as he called out, "SHINE OVER!" Mythos was covered in magma as he charged at Prometheus, "CRAFT ON! RED HOT FLAMES! FORGE AHEAD! (THE FORGING GOD) HEPHAESTUS FRAMEEEEEE YEAH!"

Mythos Hephaestus Form was desperate, immediately summoning his hammer and trying to bring it down on Prometheus, who caught it and chuckled, "I feel like you usually fight smarter than this, you're disappointing me." He crushed the head of the hammer and sent him flying back as Mythos caught himself using some molten magma to steady himself, "That's because I'm trying to prevent you from harming anyone." Prometheus smirked at him, "That's most foolish, then, when all I want to harm is you."

Mythos started launching magma at him, hoping to imprison him as he completely covered him in magma as it solidified. Mythos sighed, "I guess it's too much to hope that'll hold him." As if his own question was being answered, the magma began to crack and it exploded, debris hitting Mythos as Prometheus emerged unharmed, "This is just getting sad."

Apollo finally appeared, looking at Mythos, "Hikaru tag me in, you and I are strongest together." Mythos nodded and wasting zero time scanned Apollo's orb, Mythos Apollo frame emerging quickly as he shot several at Prometheus who dodged several and caught one and crushed it. Prometheus sighed, "You know I was hoping for a better fight but clearly I'm not going to get one. Time to do what I came here to do."

Mythos stopped and pointed his bow at him, "What are you talking about?" Prometheus chuckled as he looked at the rider, "What you don't know? I promised Queen Rhea by the end of the week I'd kill an Olympian, that's why I assumed a physical form." Mythos let out a small groan of confusion, "What do you mean? You can't kill an Olympian."

Prometheus shook his head, "Oh but they can, placing them into those orbs have linked their souls with it, if their prisons are destroyed then so are they. The funniest thing, Apollo was the only one who was dumb enough to put his soul willingly into one of these things, all so you could team up with a pathetic champion like yourself." He shot forward, punching Mythos into a wall, the rider unable to escape as he found Apollo's orb was dropped. Prometheus picked up the orb as Mythos raised a hand, "Prometheus don't!"

Prometheus placed his fist around the orb, "This is perfect, killing Apollo the heir to Zeus's throne, I'll be rewarded by King Cronus for sure." He began to clamp down on the orb, Apollo screaming in his head as Mythos felt the pain his partner was going through. Feeling he only had one chance, he removed something from his belt, "Hermes, lend me your… power!"

Hermes appeared as Mythos struggled to move his arm, "Sorry Hikaru but I'm gonna have to use what little power I have to save Big Bro myself." His orb glowed green as it shot out of Mythos's hand, charging at Prometheus and knocking Apollo's orb out of his hand. Mythos getting free at that moment and leaping forward, grabbing Apollo's orb. But it didn't matter as Prometheus's hand glowed with power, and in one movement crushed Hermes orb, the shattered orb falling to the ground as Apollo screamed in Hikaru's head, "HERMES!"

Hermes appeared on the ground, his form slowly fading as Prometheus looked down at him, "You know I was the original messenger of the immortals so it feels fitting I'd kill the new one. I almost feel pity for you, when a God dies they don't just cease to exist, they're erased from everything mortal, stories, memories, even your very name will be gone, the morals will never even realize the God Hermes existed. But your brothers will, and that's my favorite part."

Ares and Hephaestus appeared beside their youngest brother, Hermes giving them a small smile, "Don't worry about me, I'm just happy to have saved my Big Bro." Ares exploded with fire, "Dammit you idiot, you shouldn't have done something like that." Hephaestus winced and looked away, keeping his solemn demeanor with a quaking in his voice, "Hermes, that was brave, knowing that you could potentially die, know that I will avenge you."

Hermes sniffled, tears beginning to form, "Big Bro Apollo, I know you can hear me right now, just know I'm not angry at you for not forgiving me, and I have no regrets. I had a good life, getting to know the coolest God there was, the god of the sun. I'm sorry I was so annoying, but I hope that you at least keep my memory alive a bit, for now though do me a favor and kick his ass for me."

Mythos watched as Hermes finally faded away, fading into nothing as Apollo watched from within Mythos, he should've just let go of his anger against his younger brother, it was all petty in the end. Now he'd never have the chance to as he was gone, forever. As Hikaru could feel Apollo crying he began to feel something else as well, rage, the rage of the very sun itself. Prometheus looked at the 3 remaining figures, a smile on his face, "That was very sad, now who's next?"

Mythos began to tremble, feeling his rage building, Hikaru not able to suppress Apollo's emotions as he began to crackle with light, Mythos looking at him as both Hikaru and Apollo's voice came from him, "PROMETHEUS I WILL END YOU!" Mythos began engulfed in light as he shined like the sun itself, charging forward and striking the Titan, sending him flying backwards before moving faster than even Prometheus could registers, catching him by the head and slamming him into the concrete, repeating this several times as the Titan found himself unable to escape as Mythos became as hot as the sun.

Ares looked at Hephaestus in awe, "This? Is this how powerful Apollo really is?" Hephaestus nodded, "Apollo holds the entire power of the sun in him, he usually doesn't unleash it fully and would never allow Hikaru to unleash it fully in fear it could harm him but I don't think he cares right now."

Prometheus gasped as he caught himself on the concrete, kicking Mythos back as he stood up, "Fine, time to go all out on you pathetic Olympian then." As he was preparing to summon something, he stopped as he felt himself get tired, "...Damned, this physical form doesn't have much energy left. The next time we meet, Mythos, I will beat you and bring humanity back to me." He spread his wings and shot up into the sky, flying away as an enraged Mythos was left. He wasn't calming down as Hikaru found himself in his mind, Apollo screaming as Hikaru ran up to him, "Apollo calm down, the fight is over!'

Apollo looked at him, "No! Not until he's dead!" Hikaru frowned, "Apollo he's escaped, if you don't calm down then the full power of the sun could hurt someone." Apollo said nothing as Hikaru decided he didn't have much of a choice, running forward and pulling Apollo into a hug, the god of light slowly calming down, "Hikaru, why won't you let me kill him?"

Hikaru let go of him and frowned, "Because he's gone, the fight is over and Hermes wouldn't want you to destroy the city just because he's gone." Apollo said nothing for a moment before nodding, "Ok, I get it." Back outside, Mythos glowed as the armor disappeared, Hikaru falling to his knees as he began to feel the injuries Prometheus had dealt him.

Beside him Apollo appeared, falling to his knees as tears began to fall, the full weight of what had happened falling on him. As Ares and Hephaestus appeared, Hephaestus placing a hand on Apollo's shoulder, it began to rain. Hikaru looked up, even the sky itself wept for the Messenger God as the Sun God mourned, his youngest brother being gone forever.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Hikaru winced as Mizuki finished bandaging his arm, he had been more injured than he thought as he finished filling in Mizuki about what happened, "Thanks for doing this, my Mom would kill me if she saw me like this." Mizuki nodded as she frowned, "I'd say Prometheus was right, I can't remember anything about a Hermes in any Greek Mythology." Hikaru nodded, "I figured, I did a quick internet search and found nothing. I guess I still remember Hermes because of being Mythos."

Mizuki sighed, "How are the others taking it?" Hikaru frowned as elsewhere Ares, Hephaestus and even Aphrodite on Olympus all seemed to mourn Hermes, "I think they're upset about Hermes and that they're facing their mortality for the first time, even Aphrodite is probably realizing that."

Mizuki nodded, "Well I don't exactly feel bad for her." Hikaru sighed, "Mizuki, I owe you an apology, I have been avoiding you. What happened messed with my head more than I care to admit, and I've unjustly taken it out on you. But I think I'm gonna take Apollo's advice and let it go, letting it affect me this much just lets Aphrodite win." Mizuki smiled at him, "Speaking Apollo you never mentioned how he was doing."

Hikaru frowned and looked down at Apollo's orb that he knew the God wasn't in, "He's on the roof, he needed some time alone and I wanted to give it to him." Meanwhile on the roof Apollo strummed his lyre carefully, a new melody coming to him as he played.

He smiled softly as he nodded, "That's not half bad, I think I'll dedicate this one to you, my brother, my next greatest song, Rise of the Messenger." He continued to play, even if he was gone Hermes would live on in his memories, and as long as he kept his memory alive then his youngest brother would never truly be gone.

Next time on Kamen Rider Mythos

Taiga has returned home and has his arms around Hikaru

"You've been depressed since I got back, let me take you on vacation."

Taiga is speaking to the God Dionysus

"You want your Brother and his friend to relax, just give them some of this lotus, works every time."

Finally Apollo is yelling at Taiga

"You idiot! You listened to Dionysus about how to cheer up Hikaru and look what's happened!"
