Chapter 3: Sisko's Ship

The Defiant

"Here is the warship USS Defiant that Worf was a captain of during the Dominion War." Picard added, "Before Sisko became a Prophet." Nodding his head, Geordi

answered, "Hm-mm, and later of course, Worf took command of our last Enterprise, the "E". "The reason why we are here is because someone on my staff heard

that Defiant was gonna be docked here and couldn't resist visiting." "I wonder who it is." Picard wondered.

They reached the Bridge. A curly haired man was on his back inspecting a panel under the conn console. Geordi cleared his throat. "Commodore!" The curly haired

man jumped and banged his head. "Ach, man. Can't ya give an old man a warning before you startle like that." Picard gasped. "O'Brien. Miles Edward O'Brien."

"Bless me stars, it's been 20 years. Hello, Admiral." They hugged each other. "Good Blimey, you're a site for sore eyes, Sir." "And you, Mr. O'Brien. Weren't you at

S.C.E.?" "Oh, I am. Been there for about 15 years, since the Captain's departure to the Celestial Temple. After burying Captain Maxwell and being a Starfleet

professor; I've decided to join the Corps. Keep meself busy" "I've read the reports from DS9. How's Keiko and family." "Oh, thank ya for asking. The kids are all

grown up, now. Keiko is training Molly on botany, and Kirayoshi is training in Engineering at the Academy now."

A woman startled the Admiral. "And I couldn't pass up being with Miles." Picard looked to his left. "Keiko it is so good to see you." "Hello, Uncle Jean." Molly even

joined in the reunion. "Thank you for this surprise, Geordi." Wiping happy tears, "I will let you all get back to work. It is a pleasure to see you all."
