Kamen Rider Mythos

Myth 11: The Perks of Eating a Lotus Flower

The camera finally finished going off as he blinked to readjust after seeing the flash for so long. Taiga Kinami walked off the platform as the director flashed him a smile, "Great job as always Kinami, your agent will be in touch for your next job soon."

Taiga nodded as he went back towards the dressing room they'd given him, Achilles appearing next to him, "I'm still confused on why anyone would care about your poses you do, surely it can't make that much money." Taiga chuckled as he closed the door to his dressing room, "When you're good looking enough people will pay a lot for pictures of you."

Achilles frowned, "Back in my day those that cared too much about their looks were compared to Narcissus, unless you were me, I was both beautiful and skilled in battle, no one dared say that to me." Taiga crossed his arms, "Well let's put it this way, if modeling existed back in ancient Greece you probably would've been recruited too. It probably would've gotten you more glory than any war would."

Achilles nodded slowly, "I see, I was wrong then, your profession has some merit to it if it provides you glory." As he spoke, a chill went through his body, a feeling of absolute dread filling his soul as Taiga raised an eyebrow, "Are you good? You look like you died again."

Achilles put a hand on his chin, "Something is wrong, something truly terrible has happened and while I'm not sure what it is, my very soul can feel it." Taiga frowned as he took his phone out of the bag he'd been keeping it in, "Well that's ominous, oh hey I missed a few texts and calls from Hikaru." Achilles crossed his arms, "Hopefully Apollo hasn't screwed anything up too badly while we were gone."

Taiga shook his head, "He says they found Hermes, hey Achilles who's Hermes?" The blonde soldier looked at him like he was dumb, "Come now boy, I know Greek Mythology is more of your brother's forte but surely you know the messenger god, son of Zeus and one of the few beings who knows how to easily annoy Apollo."

Taiga still looked at him confused, "Yeah no, doesn't sound familiar. Come on Achilles I'm pretty sure even I'd know if this messenger god existed." Achilles frowned, "Taiga get out your magic box and use that enternet you've told me about, I fear something dire has happened. Search up the name Hermes." Taiga nodded and typed away at his phone, shaking his head, "There's no record of any god named Hermes, there's like one result and it's about some person named Herm Es."

Achilles let out a small sigh, "This is not good, it's not just all memories of him have been erased, all evidence of him within history has been erased. We should return to your home right away, I imagine your brother or one of the Olympians may know what happened." Taiga nodded slowly, still confused on what was going on, but trusting that Achilles wouldn't be acting this serious if it wasn't something dire.

Mount Olympus

His wings disappeared as he returned to his normal appearance, dusting himself off as he looked at the immaculate appearance of Mount Olympus. For the first time in a long time, a true smile on his face as the home of the Olympians felt welcoming for the first time in a long time.

He walked with a song in his step, whistling as he entered into the temple of Zeus, clapping ensuing as Prometheus turned to see Krios clapping, approaching him, "Prometheus you've done it! You actually killed an Olympian!" Prometheus smirked and took a glass of ambrosia from him, "Of course, was there ever any doubt? I said I would do it and I always fulfill my promises."

Rhea got up from her throne, raising her own glass of ambrosia, "Yes excellent job Prometheus, I had my doubts but you've erased them now. Hermes was the first step in our conquest." From her dark corner of the temple, Aphrodite scoffed, "Yes excellent job, squashing a bug like Hermes. He was the weakest Olympian but congratulations for killing him without him being able to defend himself."

Prometheus chuckled, "Well now Aphrodite, I wasn't expecting this attitude from you. Tell me, did you actually care about Hermes?" Aphrodite glared at him, "Don't be ridiculous, I'm just not impressed by you killing the weakest son of Zeus, that means nothing." Krios put an arm around Prometheus, waving off Aphrodite, "Ignore her Prometheus, she's just adjusting to the fact that the Olympians aren't as immortal as she thought, since that still includes her."

Prometheus frowned as she approached Rhea's throne, "Queen Rhea, since I've proven myself and dealt a great blow to the Olympians, may I make one request?" Rhea sat back down on her throne, looking at her nails, "It depends on the request Prometheus, while I am happy about this turn of events, Aphrodite is correct that one death isn't that big."

Prometheus fell to his knees, kneeling before her and avoiding her gaze, "Zeus had long ago made the promise to free her, and when he didn't and imprisoned me, you then later promised me after I was freed that you would free her instead. I have been your loyal soldier, so please won't you free my little flame from her prison?" Rhea was silent for a moment, before speaking, "Prometheus I hope to one day fulfill my promise, however opening the prison and freeing her would require a lot of time, and that is time we do not have. We have to take advantage of this victory, we cannot stop now."

Prometheus stood up, annoyance building up inside of him, "My queen please! She has been suffering for thousands of years. I can take out the Olympians any time now, please just this one request." Rhea stood up, beginning to glare at him before Krios stepped between them, placing a hand on Prometheus's shoulder, "Prometheus I understand how you feel, however we need to build on this victory, I mean just imagine the fear the Olympians are feeling right now, especially Apollo who nearly met Hermes fate."

Prometheus was silent for a moment, Krios was unfortunately right, those foolish sons of Zeus were probably filled with fear at this point, they needed to keep up the pressure, and he knew exactly what they should do. He nodded at Krios, 'You're right Krios, do me a favor and take care of things here while I'm gone." Krios raised an eyebrow, "And where are you going?"

Prometheus smirked, "To the underworld, my next plan requires someone imprisoned deep within Tartarus." Prometheus left the temple as the three stayed silent, there were certainly many people he could be talking about imprisoned within Tartarus, all they had to do was wait and see what his next plan was.

Japan

Taiga placed a pot of flowers down on a table as he wiped the sweat from forehead, letting out a sigh. He'd been home a week and he still couldn't grasp what exactly happened, apparently the Olympians could die and if they did so their memory was erased from the minds of humanity?

Sounded weird but considering how Achilles and the rest of them kept going on about this Hermes dude he figured it had to be true. He wasn't worried about that though, he was worried about his brother who'd been in a depressive state ever since it happened. Hikaru had been acting on autopilot, going to school, doing homework and then spending all his time in his room.

He was helping in the flower shop since Hikaru had stopped doing so, he was avoiding people and according to Hephaestus and Ares, things got intense with the fight against Promtheus. Taiga crossed his arms, turning around to Mizuki who was lifting another flower pot, "So even Apollo is being weird? I guess that makes sense, he hasn't left his orb once since I've been back."

Mizuki nodded, "Even at school I think I've seen him come out once or twice. He's not even coming out to argue with Ares, who at this point is purposefully trying to annoy him." Taiga sighed and crossed his arms, "I still don't get this whole Hermes thing, he died because his soul was in an orb, so humanity doesn't remember him even though he existed. Why does Hikaru remember him then?"

Achilles appeared from his orb, "Well usually it's Gods and DemiGods who would remember a deceased immortal, which is why I remember Hermes. Hikaru is Mythos so he connects directly with the Olympians, not to mention he was transformed at the time of the death according to Hephaestus, so that may be why he does."

Taiga frowned, "I wish I could help cheer him up somehow, he's avoiding everyone." As he moved another flower pot his cell phone began to ring, taking it out of his pocket, "Oh it's my agent, I'll be right back I need to take this." He began to talk to his agent, a frown forming on his face as he nodded at something, "I'm not sure if I want to do that right now, I'd prefer to stay in the city for a bit." Mizuki looked over at him, whispering, "What's wrong?"

Taiga took the phone off his ear, covering it with his hand, "My agent said he booked a gig at Kanagawa, a photoshoot on the beach, but I'm not sure if I should leave Hikaru with him being all depressed. If only I could take him with me, I'd be able to cheer him up at the beach."

Mizuki thought for a moment before a smile appeared on her face, "You might be able to actually, we have a few days off from classes and he certainly isn't about to do anything else, the beach might be good for him."

Thinking on it for a moment, Taiga placed the phone back on his ear, telling his agent he'd do the photoshoot, getting the deals from him, excitement building within him that he could potentially take his brother on vacation.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Hikaru laid on his bed, not really moving as his phone sat on his chest. Normally he'd at least be scrolling on the internet and searching up some kind of history facts that were interesting to him, but he didn't have the heart for it right now. He knew Apollo was out of his room and floating in the corner, the sun God hadn't been speaking much but the two had an understanding about recent events.

Apollo let out an annoyed sigh, "I am tired of this, it's only been a week and yet Ares and Hephaestus are no longer grieving, do they not remember our brother died?" Hikaru sat up and frowned, "I guess they're just taking it as business as usual." Apollo crossed his arms, "Well it's not just business as usual, our little brother died and now we know we could die as well. At least you're still reacting appropriately."

Hikaru sighed and laid back down, "I just can't let go of the fact that history was changed in a matter of seconds, if any of you die then not only do I lose a friend but an entire part of history is gone too and only I'll ever know apparently." Before Apollo could respond, the door flung open and in ran Taiga, causing Hikaru to sit up quickly, "Hikaru pack your bags! We're going on vacation!"

Hikaru raised an eyebrow, "Taiga what are you talking about?" Taiga grabbed him by the wrist, pulling him up from the bed, "I have to go away for a photoshoot and Mizuki told me you have a few days off from school, and you've been depressed since I got back, so let me take you on vacation." Hikaru shook his head, 'Taiga I really don't want to go on vacation while you're doing your modeling stuff, it's boring to me."

Taiga put an arm around him, dragging him out into the living room, "Oh come on Hikaru, it's in Kanagawa, it'll be fun, the beach, the sun, the ocean." Hikaru broke out of his grasp and put a hand on his chin, "Hmmm I could care less about the beach but there is a new Edo period exhibit at the museum there that I'd love to see. Still not happening though because I'm not letting you pay for a hotel for me."

Taiga frowned, wanting to argue with him as their mother came into the living room, a smile on her face, "Taiga did you say Kanagawa? Your cousin Takuya lives there, you two can stay with him." Hikaru crossed his arms, thinking for a moment, "Takuya lives there? He'd definitely go with me to the museum, alright I'll go."

Taiga clapped him on the back, earning a pained expression from his younger brother, "I forgot Takuya was a nerd too, oh well I'll take it if it gets you to go." Apollo appeared from Hikaru's room, a curious expression on his face, "Did you say the beach? I love the beach, I'm totally down!"

Seeing an actual smile on the sun God's face for the first time in a week, Hikaru sighed, he couldn't really complain if it meant cheering up Apollo. Mizuki arrived through the front door, placing her cell phone in her pocket, "Well I just talked to my mom and she said I could go too, so as long as your cousin won't mind, I'm gonna tag along." Hikaru quickly shook his head, "No of course Takuya won't mind, he's pretty chill about things like this."

Taiga smiled as a thought crossed his mind, his brother and Mizuki at the beach, probably going to be alone while he had to do the photoshoot, it was a perfect time to get them together. He put another arm around Hikaru and pulled him into a hug, "Well get packed you two, cause in the morning we're heading to Kanagawa!" He smiled as Hikaru escaped his grasp again, he'd cheer his brother up with this vacation, he just had to.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Kanagawa

Hikaru let out a sigh as they arrived in front of their cousin's apartment complex, the journey to Kanagawa having been mostly non eventful. Next to him Taiga put a hand on his shoulder, shooting him a wide smile, "Takuya said he's expecting us, now try not to be too nerdy with him, it gets to a point where I can't understand what you are saying."

Hikaru brushed his brother off as Mizuki walked ahead of them, "I've never met your cousin actually, but from what you guys have said he sounds nice." The three went into the apartment complex, climbing to the floor he lived in and finally found the apartment, knocking on the door lightly.

They could hear a crash coming from the other side followed by the scrambling of feet, several yells of "Hold on I'm coming" could be heard. The door finally swung open, revealing a 24 year old man, goggles over his face and wearing a lab coat. A wide smile on his face as he spread out his arms, "TAIGA! HIKARU! I wasn't expecting you for another few hours."

Taiga readily welcomed his hug as he pulled him into the apartment, "Takuya, the traffic wasn't bad so we got here quickly. Clearly you weren't ready for us though, judging by the sounds." Takuya scratched the back of his head, the goggles still on his face, "Well I was then I got distracted by an experiment and next thing I know you're knocking on the door and I dropped a test tube but it's fine, it wasn't explosive or anything, I think."

Mizuki raised an eyebrow as she whispered to Hikaru, "I thought you said he was a teacher, but he looks more like a mad scientist." Hikaru nodded, "He started teaching this year, but Takuya is a scientist first and foremost. He's a crazy genius, graduated with a doctorate at 17, the youngest person in Japan to ever do that." Mizuki eyes widened before she looked at Taiga talking with Takuya, "Wait so you're super smart, and your cousin is a genius, does that make Taiga the odd one out of you three?"

Hikaru nervously laughed, "We prefer to not bring it up, but yes." Hikaru walked forward, getting Takuya's attention, "Shouldn't you be teaching Takuya? You said you'd been enjoying it so far." Takuya nodded, "I have a few days off, just like you do, so I was working on a few things since my research is being looked at by a big name tech company. If they offer me and my lab partner a deal then we might be moving near them so they can set us up with a massive lab."

Hikaru nodded, "Which tech company?" Takuya crossed his arms, "Uhhh Hiden Intelligence I think is the name, it might not go through because the president of the company has been sick." Taiga perked up upon hearing this, "Even I know that one, they're the ones with all the human looking robots. I've been over there, those things are impressive."

Takuya frowned, "I prefer to not think of the robots Taiga, no matter how they look, robots freak me out." Mizuki raised an eyebrow at him, talking to him for the first time, "You're a scientist but robots freak you out? That's a little weird." Takuya looked at her, a small smirk on his face, "You must be Mizuki, Hikaru has told me a lot about you, and for the record every scientist has some kind of peculiarity, mine is not liking robots." Mizuki held out her hand, "Hopefully Hikaru hasn't told you anything bad."

Takuya shook her hand as Hikaru walked past Taiga, looking to sit on the couch, "Have you gotten a chance to go look at the new Edo period exhibit we were talking about on the phone?" Takuya turned around, shaking his head, "Not yet, I was originally gonna go with my lab partner Daisuke, but the two of us have gotten busy with some experiments so haven't had a chance. We can go in a few days after we finish with those experiments though, I've been eager to check it out too."

Taiga crossed his arms, falling down onto the couch and pulling Hikaru over to him, "Who cares about that boring old museum though, because we're gonna go to the beach and have a ton of fun." Hikaru frowned, "Taiga I'm not really that big on the beach though."

Taiga waved him off, "Oh come on it'll be fun, the sand, the ocean, maybe we can even try getting you a girlfriend while we're here. Come on Hikaru, this trip is to cheer you up." Hikaru let out a long sigh, 'Fine, I'll go get changed into a swimsuit, but I'm not going swimming, I hate the ocean, you know that." Taiga chuckled at his comment as his brother made his way to the bathroom to get changed, his plan was already working, soon Hikaru would be feeling better.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

It didn't take long for the group to get ready for the beach, Takuya excusing himself to more of his experiments but offering to treat them to dinner later. Taiga breathed in as he put his hands on his hips, clad in a swimsuit, an unbuttoned shirt showing off his athletic body and sunglasses, "Ah I love the smell of the ocean, come on let's get set up."

Taiga wasn't the only one happy though as the Gods appeared as well, clearly excited about the prospect of being on the beach. Ares looked over to see volleyball players, turing towards Hikaru, "Hikaru you should go play volleyball, crushing your opponents and besting them in sports always makes my vacations more exciting." Hephaestus shook his head, "Ignore him little brother, I think you should build a massive sandcastle, I'll help you make sure it's structurally sound and indestructible."

Apollo shook his head, "Hikaru I think you should just do whatever you want to do. Although if you want to maybe go approach some of these attractive people in their swimsuits I won't be opposed." Hikaru shook his head but said nothing, Apollo was acting slightly normal for the first time in a week, he wasn't about to discourage him.

Hikaru walked over to Taiga who had already set up, sitting down in one of the chairs underneath an umbrella, "At least I can read a book I brought with me." Taiga frowned and sat down in the sand, "Come on Hikaru don't just sit there reading a book all day, go in the water, take in the sights, like that sight right there."

He pointed to Mizuki in tank top and shorts, having gone with a less revealing swimsuit than most people on the beach. Hikaru frowned and shook his head, 'Taiga that's Mizuki, I'm not ogling her like most guys here will." Taiga nodded and put a hand on his chin, "Mhmm I get what you're saying, but you and I both know you've been in love with her since you were 12 and the beach is a pretty romantic place, maybe you should finally tell her."

Hikaru was about to comment but Mizuki walked over to them, "What are you two talking about?" Taiga stood up and brushed himself off, "I was just telling Hikaru that I need to go meet with the guy who's running the photoshoot, he's scouting a location right now before the actual shoot so I was gonna speak to him." Mizuki looked at him, "Right… I'm gonna head into the water in a bit, Hikaru you gonna be alright by yourself?"

Taiga looked at his brother in confusion, "Hikaru can just go with you, he doesn't need to be by himself." Hikaru shook his head, "Mizuki, unlike you Taiga hasn't forgotten I almost drowned in the ocean when I was little and have hated it ever since. I'm not going in the water."

Taiga sighed, "I was hoping being a badass Kamen Rider would've helped you get over that, but I won't push." A man approached their set up, looking at Taiga, "Taiga Kinami right? I saw you over here so I thought I'd introduce myself." Taiga nodded at him, "You're Mr. Nawata right? The director of the photoshoot? It's a pleasure to meet you." Nawata nodded, "I heard you're one of the best for your age Mr. Kinami, I look forward to working with you."

Taiga smirked, "I see my reputation precedes me, I'll be ready for tomorrow you can count on it." Nawata nodded before turning towards Mizuki, "Are you friends with Mr. Kinami? I hate to ask this but have you ever considered modeling? You're pulling off the tomboy look decently well and we had a model drop out of the shoot tomorrow, we could use someone at the last minute." Mizuki crossed her arms, glaring daggers at him. "Not happening," Nawata frowned and nodded, "Understandable, I'll see you tomorrow Mr. Kinami."

He walked away as Mizuki sighed, "Alright now I definitely need to go get in the water, I'll be back in a little bit." As she started to walk away, Taiga turned towards his little brother, "Alright now that I have free time, what do you want to do Hikaru?" Hikaru frowned, "Taiga I already don't really want to be here, please just let me read in peace." Taiga waved him off and grabbed by the wrist, pulling him up, "Nonsense, you just need to come out of your shell a bit, then you'll be having fun."

As Hikaru protested, Mizuki reappeared in front of the brothers, "So I was going to go in the water but I noticed that massive party down the beach over there." Taiga looked over at it and smiled, "That's exactly what you need Hikaru, come on let's go." As Hikaru found himself being dragged towards the party, Ares turned towards Hephaestus, "Does that design of the party seem familiar to you?"

Hephaestus shrugged, "You mean the tacky decorations and the smell of alcohol even from here? Yes." Ares crossed his arms and nodded, "Sounds like it could be a fun time then, come on Apollo we're going to check out that party too." Apollo said nothing as he followed his brothers towards it, not wanting to voice it but he felt like there was a familiarity to it.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

The group arrived at the party, a rather weird music playing throughout as Taiga crossed his arms, "Well the party seems pretty wild, but the music choice is a little questionable." Hikaru shuddered as he watched the party, people drinking and dancing, overall things he didn't care for, "I think that instrument is a lyre, that is odd actually."

Apollo crossed his arms and nodded, "Actually I think this is something I wrote." Ares looked around, noticing the decor and the drink choices, "Yeah and the decorations and the drinks, Greek wine, this is feeling familiar." Hephaestus frowned, "How would a beach party in Japan get Greek wine?"

As the group looked around they heard an excited cheer from in front of them, "Brothers! How did you get here?" They watched as a short skinny man with long curly black hair, and a scruffy beard approached them, dressed in a toga and a cup of wine in his hand. He smiled at them as he seemingly stared at the Gods, "I'm glad to see you're safe, though Hephaestus it's shocking to see you out of the forge."

The three gods looked at him confusion, Ares being the one to speak up, "Who the fuck are you string bean?" The man looked at them in disappointment, "Oh come now Mr. Grumpy War God, I may look different but surely you must recognize one of my parties?" Apollo raised an eyebrow, "Dionysus? Surely it can't be you, you look human and not invisible like us."

The man laughed and took a sip of his drink, "Oh believe it brothers, it's your little brother in the flesh!" Hikaru looked at the man claiming to be the God of Parties in confusion, "Wait I thought you guys couldn't be seen on Earth, how is he here and visible and throwing a party?" Hephaestus crossed his arms, "Yes indeed Dionysus how are you well…. normal?"

Dionysus chuckled again, "Oh you know me, I escaped the Titans grasp, fell to Earth and found a recently deceased young man, so I didn't figure he'd mind if I borrowed his body. I lost most of my godly abilities but I can still throw a wild enough party to have gained some followers here, though they just think I'm an awesome party thrower." Taiga looked at him and raised an eyebrow, "Wait wait wait, can we not gloss over you saying you possessed a dead body, can all of you do that?"

Apollo scratched the back of his head, nodding slowly, "Technically we can, but it requires a body without a soul, so technically a recently dead human, but it's rather unsettling and the only God I know who would be crazy enough to do it is our beloved little brother Dionysus." There was a silence for a moment before Taiga took a step towards Dionysus, "So ignoring that awkwardness, this seems like a pretty wild party, care to let us hang around?"

Dionysus smiled and summoned another cup of wine to his hand, giving it to Taiga, "Oh I like you, come join in the festivities, we have wine, women, men, anything you want really, just don't be like my father and ask for a goat." Taiga raised an eyebrow before taking a sip of wine, "Yeah not even gonna ask, Hikaru, Mizuki come on let's have some fun, enjoy a party thrown by the God of Parties himself."Mizuki shook her head, "Taiga neither of us can drink, and I'm not very comfortable here, neither is your brother clearly."

Apollo frowned as he floated in front of Dionysus, "Dionysus this isn't the time for parties, Hermes died last week as it turns out when we're stuck in these orbs we can be killed if they're destroyed." Dionysus turned to Ares and Hephaestus, "Is that true, Hermes died?" The two nodded as Ares crossed his arms, "Yeah and our dear elder brother is still moping about it."

Dioynsus stroked his stroked his beard for a moment before turning towards the crowd of party goers, cupping his hands to his face he yelled to the crowd, "Everyone I just learned my beloved younger brother died last week, he was like my trusted sidekick, LET US RAISE A DRINK TO HIM!"

Apollo narrowed his eyes at his younger brother as he downed the cup in his hands, it automatically refilling, "Hikaru we should leave, he barely cares his so called beloved brother died, I don't want to see this drunken fool's face." Hikaru nodded and turned towards Mizuki, "Wanna leave and maybe actually try to relax?"

Mizuki nodded as the two began to walk away, Taiga trying to stop them, "Come on Hikaru, we were just about to start having fun." Hikaru shook his head, "No you were about to have fun Taiga, this isn't fun for me, I wish you'd just listen for once."

The two walked away, Apollo behind him, Ares and Hephaestus reluctantly following them as well. Taiga frowned as he watched his younger brother leave, he just wanted to cheer him up, so why was he making it so hard? He looked at the drink in his hand, deciding to down it in one gulp, he began to follow Dionysus to the center of the party. If Hikaru refused to have fun then he would have fun himself.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Tartarus

The hardened ash cracked beneath his feet as he walked through the hellish landscape. Despite what many thought, Tartarus was cold and silent, not screams of the damned, no fire and brimstone. There were however bones everywhere as Prometheus kicked some to the side.

He knew to be careful while in the realm of the damned, as he did not want to awaken Tartarus himself. The primordial being didn't care what was happening when it came to the Titans and Olympians, but if any of them managed to awaken him then it would spell doom for that unlucky soul.

He walked past the frozen Hecatonchires, the three giants having been frozen in the sides of the earthy walls by Rhea when she opened up Tartarus to obtain Kronus's army. He wasn't entirely sure which door he'd been looking for as he'd only heard about this prisoner from Zeus gloating about what was done to him, ironically enough while he was imprisoned himself so he already felt a bit of kinship with this poor soul.

He counted himself lucky as he walked, Hades was so meticulous that he had labeled every door to the prisons with the prisoners name. It wasn't long before he'd found the one he was looking for, looking inside to see an old, skinny man with a long gray beard. He had so many chains on him that not even he tried to count them all. He was still but Prometheus could tell he was breathing and that all that mattered.

He pushed the door open, walking into the room as the old man looked up at him, his dull gray eyes having barely any light in them. This poor old man had long lost hope that the Gods would release him, and Prometheus understood that look better than anyone. The old man watched Prometheus approach him as he finally spoke, a tired, raspy voice coming from him, "You're not Hades, why do you visit me?"

Prometheus frowned, "No I'm not, tell me, what did you do to become chained like this?" The old man let out a raspy breath, "The Gods would not return my dead son to me, so I took matters into my own hands and tried to retrieve him from the underworld. However all that resulted was the accidental death of Hades's only son Zagreus, and my son falling ever further away from me than before."

Prometheus nodded and bent down, getting eye level with the old man, "Tell me, would you like to be free of here? I can free you if you agree to help me." The old man looked the Titan in the eyes, "I don't know who you are but I don't want to cross the Gods again, it's not worth my freedom."

Prometheus laughed, "My name is Prometheus, and I can assure when I promise you freedom I mean it. The Olympians are no longer a problem and I can reunite you with your son easily." The old man's eyes widened in shock as he struggled against his chains, "Prometheus? Why even us mortals know of your crimes, what happened to the Gods that you're now walking free."

Prometheus laughed again as he grabbed one of the old man's chains, "Everyone knows of my crimes? That's rich coming from you." The old man shook more, "What do you possibly know Titan? All I'm guilty of is wanting to protect my son." Prometheus bent down again, looking deep in the old man's eyes, "All I am guilty of is wanting to help humanity. It's why I know how you feel more than anything, my good man, that's why I've chosen you specifically to help me."

The old man looked at him, the light slowly returning to his eyes, "How could you possibly know anything of how I feel?" Prometheus smirked, "Because, even I know about the tale of Icarus who flew too close to the sun. Trust me Daedalus, you and I have more in common than you might think. Help me and I'll make sure you and your beloved Icarus are reunited."

Daedalus gulped, "What would you want me to do? I'm an old man and cannot fight an Olympian." Prometheus shook his head, "I don't need you to fight anyone, I just want you to lead me to the hidden labyrinth, after that everything else will be taken care of. All I need from you Daedalus is to be the great architect you're known to be."

Daedalus frowned as Prometheus played at his chains again, "Tell me, since you claim you understand my feelings, do you know how it feels to lose a child? To give up everything to try and see them just one more time?" Prometheus gave him a sad smile as he nodded, "More than you, or anyone else besides Zeus may ever know."

Daedalus was silent for a moment before letting out a long sigh, "Very well, I will lead you to the labyrinth." Prometheus smirked and with a wave of his arm all the chains broke, releasing Daedalus, "Excellent choice, now let's go in search of a labyrinth."

He watched as Daedalus stood up for the first time in millenia, he understood that feeling too well. He smirked though as the old architect followed him out of the prison, soon his plan would begin and the thing he sought after most in the world would be his.

Taiga took a sad sip of wine as he walked through the party, Hikaru's words still stinging as he played back what he did wrong a million times. He was just trying to be a good brother, he just wanted to cheer up Hikaru. As he walked, someone he recognized tapped him on the shoulder, "Kinami is that you?"

Taiga turned around, a small smile appeared on his face, "Shikishima, I didn't expect to see you here." Shikishima was a fellow model who was a good friend of his, he didn't know he'd be at the photoshoot too. Shikishima nodded, "Yeah man, this party is awesome. Hey, have you thought more about that offer I brought up to you?" Taiga frowned, a pit in his forming, "Uh no sorry, give me more time and I'll get back to you."

Shikishima nodded, "Alright, well I gotta go meet some friends but I'll see you at the photoshoot." Taiga gave a goodbye nod as he walked through the party, feeling a hand on his shoulder, "There's my new friend! Tell me Taiga why do you look so down?"

Taiga sighed as he turned to see Dionysus behind him, "Oh uh hey Dionysus, I'm just feeling like a failure of a big brother. I wanted to try and cheer up Hikaru but I feel like all I've done is make him feel worse, and I just know if I could get him to relax then he'd feel better and have fun."

Dionysus scratched his chin, "Hmm well you could give him some lotus flower." Taiga raised an eyebrow, "What's a lotus flower?" Dionysus smiled and produced two flowers, raising them up to Taiga's eyes, "You want your Brother and his friend to relax, just give them some of this lotus, works every time." Taiga frowned, "They make him relax? I don't know, that sounds like I'm drugging him and Mizuki."

Dionysus chuckled and shook his head, "Now now, It's not drugging, I've eaten several myself in the last five minutes. All they do is make you chill out, that's what you want for your brother isn't it?" Taiga looked at Dionysus and noticed how carefree he did look, "Hmmm maybe you're right, it could be good for Hikaru."

Achilles appeared beside them, a stern look on his face, "Taiga it may not be wise to listen to Dionysus about this, I've heard rumors of lotus flowers and what they do to its eaters." Dionysus laughed and looked at Achilles, "You know, considering how serious he was being earlier, it'll probably piss off Apollo that your brother is relaxed."

Achilles perked up upon hearing this, "Taiga I changed my mind, let's get your brother to relax, being Mythos is a big responsibility after all." Taiga nodded in agreement and took the lotus flowers, finishing his cup of wine and beginning to walk away. Hopefully Dionysus was right and Hikaru and Mizuki would soon be having a much better time at the beach.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

It didn't take Taiga long to arrive back at Takuya's place, lotus flowers in his pocket as he entered the apartment. He walked into the kitchen to see Hikaru and Mizuki sitting at the table, eating take out. He raised an eyebrow at the two, "Where's Takuya? I thought he said he'd be around for dinner."

Hikaru said nothing as Mizuki gave him a quizzical look before speaking, "He was here but his I guess girlfriend came over, claiming he promised to take her on a date when she was in town." Taiga nodded slowly, "I didn't even know he had a girlfriend, what was she like?"

Mizuki shrugged, "She was pretty, a bit pushy but your cousin didn't seem to mind much." Taiga looked at Hikaru who'd been silent the whole time, until Mizuki cleared her throat, causing him to jump, "Taiga I appreciate what you've been trying to do, with trying to cheer me up and all. But the things you've been suggesting just aren't for me, and I'm sorry I snapped at you."

Taiga looked at the two, noticing their drinks being empty. He smiled as he approached the table, "I still think you just need to give it a chance, but I won't keep pestering you about it. Now as an apology, how about I refill your drinks for you?" The two nodded as he took the glasses, going to refill them with the tea they'd been drinking, adding petals of the lotus flowers to them.

He set the drinks back on the table as he watched in silence, both of them slowly beginning to take sips of the drinks. As they finished them he raised an eyebrow, Dionysus claimed it'd take effect immediately but nothing was happening. Was the god just messing with him? Was this just a joke to make him look worse? He was so nervous, that was until Hikaru seemed to begin to laugh madly, banging his hands on the table. Mizuki looked at him, "What's got you so giggly?"

Hikaru continued to cackle as Taiga looked at his brother in confusion, "I don't know what it is, I was thinking about something and then any of my thoughts just seemed to float away and I thought it was hilarious." Mizuki looked at him before she began her own giggle fit, "That same thing just happened to me too, it's hilarious."

Taiga let out a sigh of relief as the two continued their fits of laughter, the flowers must've taken effect. Hikaru looked over at Taiga, stopping his laughter, "Hey Taiga you know what sounds great tomorrow? The beach, just a nice relaxing day at the beach." Taiga tried to hold back his smile as he nodded in agreement, "Sure, I'll hang out with you when I'm not doing my photoshoot."

Mizuki nodded, "That sounds awesome, but for now a nice 12 hour nap sounds great right now, have a good night boys." Hikaru nodded as well as Taiga looked down at the remaining petals of lotus flowers, he felt bad but considering how they were already acting, he wasn't regretting this idea yet. He almost smiled as he thought about tomorrow, finally his brother would have fun at the beach.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Taiga let out a sigh of relief as they arrived at the beach again, this time his two companions were in a much better mood as they talked about their plans for relaxing. Achilles appeared behind him, crossing his arms, "You know this has been pretty amusing, but if the Olympians find out what you did they might kill you."

Taiga shook his head, "Nah, just look." Achilles watched to see Ares and Hephaestus already speaking to Hikaru, "Hey Hikaru you should actually play volleyball today, you can crush those mortals easily with my advice." Hephaestus shook his head, "No you should build a sandcastle, with my expertease you can truly build a castle out of the sand." Hikaru smiled and nodded, "I'll do both of those things, it all sounds fun." Apollo appeared, a frown on his face, "Brothers, am I the only one who thinks Hikaru and Mizuki are acting weird?"

The two ignored him as they found a spot to set up, Taiga looking over at the production of the photoshoot setting up, "You two get set up, I gotta go get ready for the photoshoot." The two waved him off as he walked over to the director, Mr. Nawata waving at him, "Ah Mr. Kinami, you're here and already in the attire we'd want you in." Taiga raised an eyebrow, "You mean a swimsuit?"

Nawata nodded and chuckled, "Well it is a beach shoot, we figured you'd have good enough fashion sense you'd wear something fashionable for the shoot. Uh I hate to ask this but has your lady friend reconsidered modeling? We still don't have anyone to replace our sick model." Taiga crossed his arms, thinking about Mizuki modeling, maybe getting Hikaru to actually say something to her about liking her. He smirked as he thought about the more laid back Mizuki, "I think it's worth asking her again."

Nawata looked at him with a raised eyebrow before Taiga walked over to where Hikaru and Mizuki had been sitting, Taiga crossing his arms, "Hey Mizuki, the photoshoot still needs a female model, you feel like trying it? Could be fun." Mizuki looked up at him and shrugged, "Yeah sure I guess, may as well try it." Taiga looked almost surprised as she stood up, Nawata walking over to them, "Well I guess since you're willing, follow me and we'll get you ready."

Taiga turned to Hikaru who didn't really seem to acknowledge what had happened, "Hey Hikaru what are you gonna do?" Hikaru shrugged, "I'll probably take Ares or Hephaestus's suggestions, I'm not sure, whatever I'm feeling at the moment." Taiga nodded as he walked over to the photoshoot, talking to a photographer he'd known, before beginning to take a few pictures by himself before Mizuki was expected to join him. From the corner of his eye he could see that his brother had walked over towards the volleyball court, having started playing and from what he could see doing rather well as he was high fiving several of the players.

As he finished up the last of his photos he turned to see Mizuki finally coming back out, and even he found himself blushing slightly. Her hair had actually been styled, light makeup and to top it all off she wore a red bikini top with a matching bottom and a light gold towel wrapped around her waist, even he had to admit she looked good. She approached him and giggled, "Everyone keeps telling me I look great but I just find this entire thing funny."

Taiga laughed at her comment, "Well they want to do some solo shots so let me know if you need advice, otherwise I'm gonna go check on Hikaru." She nodded absent mindedly as she followed Nawata, the man directing her as Taiga walked towards Hikaru who'd now started making a rather impressive sand castle, having attracted a few spectators. Hikaru barely looked back at him, "Hey bro, how's the photoshoot?"

Taiga watched him pat a few spots of the sand as Hephaestus was floating next to him, whispering instructions to him, "It's going pretty well, Mizuki is getting in front of the camera now. You wanna come watch? Even I have to admit she looks good." Hikaru shrugged, "Nah I'm good, I'm enjoying making this sand castle." Hephaestus looked at him and smiled, "I prefer to call it a sand palace, as it's much more majestic than a castle."

Hikaru nodded in agreement as Taiga raised an eyebrow, "Uh you sure? Mizuki, your best friend and girl you've been in love with for years is over there looking like a model, you might want to see it." Hikaru shrugged again, "Just not something I'm worried about, I wish her luck though." Taiga frowned but nodded, knowing he had to go back to the photoshoot. As he arrived back Mizuki had finished her solo photos and he was directed towards her, the two taking photos together. He had to admit she wasn't bad, listening to the director and photographers and posing as they suggested.

Honestly he noticed she was so relaxed that she didn't really care how close they were in some of the poses, he felt more awkward then she clearly did. As they were finishing up, Taiga noticed that there was now a massive crowd around where Hikaru had been building his sand palace. Mizuki looked over at it and pointed over at it, "What's with the crowd over there?" Taiga shrugged, "I know Hikaru was building a really cool sand castle over there, but I'm not sure if that's what it's for."

Mizuki nodded, "Hey director guy, are we done? Cause I'm gonna go see what's going on over there." Nawata just nodded as Mizuki started walking over towards the crowd, Taiga following her as they pushed through the crowd, finding Hikaru sitting on the sand palace, Dionysus apparently having arrived and joined him, "Look party people, this awesome palace built by a new favorite person!" Hikaru raised a glass of wine as the crowd cheered, Ares and Hephaestus floating besides the two, both content with what was happening, "I AM THE KING OF VOLLEYBALL AND SAND!"

The crowd laughed as Mizuki approached the sand palace, "Hikaru this thing is awesome, is this what you've been doing this whole time?" Hikaru jumped off the sand as he nodded, "Well I dominated at volleyball too, then I ran into Dionysus and we've been hanging out."

Dionysus jumped down beside him, finishing his own cup of wine, "Yes and now we're going to go to this mansion that I've borrowed from a friend to have an even wilder and crazier party than yesterdays, Hikaru is naturally the guest of honor seeing as I've learned he's Mythos." Hikaru nodded, "Yup can't wait, the party is gonna be awesome." Dionysus put an arm around his shoulders and looked at Mizuki, "Hmm you're pretty cute for a mortal, wanna come to the party too?"

Mizuki shrugged and nodded, "Sounds fun, are we heading over there now?" Dionysus nodded as the crowd began to walk down the beach, Taiga having been silent, a pit in his stomach as he didn't like how off his brother was acting.

He grabbed Hikaru's wrist, trying to stop him, "Hikaru I don't think you're gonna like the party, maybe you should go back to Takuya's apartment, we can go to the museum tomorrow." Hikaru shook his head, "Nah I'm ok, the museum sounds boring and I want to try out other things." Hikaru and Mizuki began to walk away with Dionysus, as the pit in Taiga's stomach got bigger. He was starting to wonder if he'd made a mistake as he began to hope that his brother didn't do something stupid at the party.

Olympus

A loud laugh could be heard as Rhea nearly spilled her ambrosia from laughing at the events happening on Earth. Aphrodite let out a small giggle, "Only Dionysus would be that idiotic to give the only hope for the Olympians, lotus flower." Krios smirked as he took a sip of his ambrosia, "And let's not forget the idiocy of his own brother giving him the lotus, all because he wanted his little brother to have fun like he would."

Rhea laughed again, "Yes it's all been very amusing to watch, I'm glad the mortals can still be entertaining." Krios nodded in agreement and crossed his arms, "Although, we'd be stupid to not take advantage of this. Kinami is too consumed by the lotus flower to transform into Mythos, we can eliminate him easily." He snapped his fingers as the doors to the temple opened, in stepping a large creature, half horse and half rooster, "You called for me Master Krios?"

Aphrodite raised an eyebrow, "Ok what the hell is that thing?" Krios smirked as the creature entered into the temple, "This is the Hippalektryon, the front of a horse, the hind of a rooster. Most mortals find it too ridiculous to be taken seriously, even if Kinami has sense left in him, he'll find it too ridiculous to even do anything."

Aphrodite crossed her arms, "This plan is idiotic, there's no way that thing can kill Mythos even if it looks like something Zeus would spawn after a month straight of black out drinking." The Hippalektryon glared at her as Rhea raised her hand, "This idiocy of this plan is exactly why it'll work. This entire situation has been foolish, we should respond in kind."

Krios smiled and snapped his fingers, the feathers of the creature glowing, "And just to make sure that it is more deadly, some additions." The feathers became sharp as they became knife-like feathers, a few of them becoming stiff as it became clear the Hippalektryon had been merged with multiple knives. The Hippalektryon nodded at Rhea, "I will not fail you Queen Rhea." It turned and left the temple, the Titans being confident of this rather idiotic plan.

Japan

The music was loud, and he could barely hear himself think as he watched the person who was supposed to be saving his family downing a glass of wine with his idiotic little brother. Normally he'd 100% be for partying and flirting with everything that moved, but he wasn't his father, he knew when it was time to get serious.

Apollo knew something was wrong with Hikaru, as he watched him laugh and dance with multiple people, Dionysus continuously giving him various food and drink, it was almost suspicious. He had to at least laugh though, even when both were acting weird, Mizuki was still glued to his side.

Even Ares and Hephaestus had gone back into their orbs, Hephaestus not being one for parties and Ares needing to be intimidated by him to go back into his orb, he didn't need Ares convincing Hikaru to do something stupid, or someone stupid for that matter. As he watched Dionysus finally leave Hikaru's side, he floated over to him, "Hikaru, something weird is going on, I think you should leave the party."

Hikaru chuckled as he consumed something else Dionysus had given him, "Oh come on Apollo, you've been wanting me to let loose the minute I became Mythos, you're getting what you wanted." Apollo frowned and shook his head, "Not like this Hikaru, you're acting way too weird and I don't like it."

Dionysus reappeared beside Hikaru and put an arm around him, frowning at Apollo, "Oh come on Apollo, you've been this unfun. Why are you being such a buzzkill?"

Apollo began to glow with anger as he glared at Dionysus, "I'm being a buzzkill because Hermes died last week and none of you so-called brothers seem to care! Hermes died and it's my fault because all he wanted was my attention and to be what he thought was cool like me. None of you seem to care about that, nor do you care that we can apparently die, and not just die, cease to exist and everything about us cease to exist. So excuse me you little wine gobbler if I'm being a bit of a buzzkill."

There was silence as Dionysus said nothing, Hikaru looking at the god of wine in confusion, "Did you get any of that? Cause that all flew over my head." Apollo screamed in anger, "Screw it you're on your own!" He retreated back into his orb as Dionysus looked at Hikaru, "Does he really blame himself for Hermes' death?"

Hikaru shrugged, "I don't know man, can I get some more wine?" Dionysus slowly shook his head as the two began to hear loud stomping as Mizuki stood next to the two, "Does anyone else hear the sound of a horse or is that just the music?" Before either of them could respond the doors burst open as the Hippalektryon entered, several of its knife feathers spreading out on its hind, "Where is Mythos!"

None of the party guests answered as one of them approached the monster, too drunk to realize it was a threat, "Yo dude awesome costume, did Dionysus hire you as some kind of entertainment?" The Hippalektryon looked down at the drunk party guest, flicking its feathers and several knives flying at the guest, hitting him in several non lethal areas, sending him flying across the room.

Most of the guests in the room seemed to quickly sober up as adrenaline kicked in for them. Screaming and panicking filled the room as the guests tried to flee, the Hippalektryon attacking several of them and injuring multiple with knives. Dionysus turned towards Hikaru who seemed to not be reacting, "Uh listen I don't want to tell you how to do your destiny or anything, but he's asking for Mythos so maybe Mythos up or something."

Hikaru turned to him in confusion, "What's a Mythos?" Dionysus's eyes widened in horror as he realized Hikaru had consumed too much lotus to barely function, "Zeus dammit me giving you lotus flower has backfired amazingly." The Hippalektryon approached Hikaru, looking down at him, "You must be Mythos judging by that buffoon's reaction."

Hikaru shrugged and extended a hand out to it, "I guess I'm the miftos or whatever, nice to meet you horse rooster guy." The Hippalektryon narrowed its eyes at him, "I'm here to kill you fool." Hikaru didn't really react as it swiped at him, sending him flying into a wall and knocking him out cold as he fell to the floor.

The Hippalektryon began to approach his unconscious body, as seeing all this caused Mizuki to sober up slightly as she hadn't yet consumed the last lotus flower Dionysus had given her. She turned to Dioynsus in alarm, "You're a god, can't you save us, blast that thing out of here or something." Dioynsus chuckled nervously as he pulled at his toga, "I'd love to sweetie, really I would, but I'm a partier not a fighter."

As the Hippalektryon prepared several more knives to go in for the kill, the wall next to it blasted open as it was sent flying, "Demi-On! Rise up! The invincible warrior (Glory over all!) Achilles Frameeeeee! Yeah!"

Kamen Rider Demi entered the room as he looked at the situation, slowly realizing something had happened to his brother, "What the hell do you think you're doing to my brother you horse rooster freak!" The Hippalektryon growled at him, "My masters sent me here to kill him while he was impaired, clearly they forgot to account for you." Demi frowned underneath his helmet, the Titans were going after Hikaru because he gave lotus flower, this was his fault.

He summoned his sword and shield as he slowly approached the Hippalektryon, "I'm not letting you kill my brother." The Hippalektryon charged at him, Demi dodging its strikes and knives with his shields, delivering several slashes of his sword at the creature, drawing blood from it.

The Hippalektryon jumped back as it growled again, "Very well, I'll be retreating for now, but I'll be back, as if I can't have Mythos's life then I'll claim an Olympian for my masters." It kicked a hole in the wall of the room, fleeing out of it, leaving everyone in the room silent.

Demi undid his transformation as Dionysus looked around confused, "Was he talking about me? Because that thing already ruined my party, I don't want it capturing me too." Taiga glared at him, "Just leave Dionysus, you already caused enough damage."

Dionysus chuckled as he watched Taiga approach his unconscious brother, "Don't pin this on me Taiga, you were the one who wanted your brother to relax, I just gave you the means to do it." Taiga frowned and slowly began to pick up Hikaru, "You don't think I know that? Hikaru is hurt and it's my fault."

As Taiga managed to get a good hold on his brother to carry him back to Takuya's, Mizuki looked at him, "What is he talking about Taiga?" Taiga sighed and shook his head, "Later Mizuki, let's get Hikaru back home first." Reluctantly Mizuki nodded, following Taiga as he carried his brother home, the millions of thoughts running through his head. Dionysus watched, silent as he too realized what he'd done may have been wrong as well.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

It was early in the morning, and after a tense night of Taiga convincing everyone to rest and he'd explain everything in the morning, he sat at the kitchen table of Takuya's apartment, his cousin having gone to get breakfast for everyone. Hikaru hadn't woken up yet and Taiga was worried he had a concussion, but Mizuki refused to allow Taiga to go near his brother.

The room was silent, and Taiga wasn't sure if it was Apollo or Mizuki who was angrier at him. It was Ares who finally broke the silence, "Heh, giving the Hikaru lotus to make him have some fun, classic Dionysus." Apollo glared at Ares who promptly shut up before glaring over at Taiga, "You idiot! You listened to Dionysus about how to cheer up Hikaru and look what's happened!"

Taiga nodded slowly, "Yeah I know I messed up, I was worried about Hikaru having what I thought would be a fun vacation and I got carried away." Apollo was about to speak but Mizuki stood up, walking over and slapping him across the face, "Carried away? You got convinced by the god of idiots to slip us that lotus flower and because of that Hikaru got hurt, yeah you got carried away and this is the consequences of your actions."

Hephaestus spoke up, "Dionysus is the god of wine, orchards, fruit, vegetation, fertility, festivity, insanity, ritual madness, religious ecstasy, and theater, there is no god of idiots." Mizuki looked over at him, glaring daggers at him, "I may not remember anything, but don't think I'm ignoring the fact that apparently you and war for brains were encouraging us."

Apollo frowned and floated over next to her, still glaring at Taiga, "Ignore them for now, they can be yelled at later. The only reason I'm not going to rip into you more is because Hikaru getting hurt is more than anything I can do in words, not to mention however he reacts when he wakes up. Now I will say I feel bad for you, this is what Dionysus does. He gets you all warmed up on wine and then he manipulates you so he can have someone to party with, because that's all he cares about, he's a little shit like that."

Taiga nodded slowly, "I'll accept whatever Hikaru has to say to me, I don't really deserve any kind of forgiveness." As Apollo went to speak, a voice came from behind him, "Yeah you're right, you don't." They turned to see Hikaru slowly making his way into the room, a bandage wrapped around his head as he too glared at his brother. Hephaestus looked at him in concern, "You should be resting little brother, you took a hard hit last night."

Hikaru shook his head, "I'll be fine, just have a slight headache. Besides I don't remember anything from yesterday anyway, I can ignore the pain." Ares crossed his arms, "How much of that disaster did you hear?" Hikaru looked over at him, a rare scowl on his face, "I heard everything Ares, none of you are exactly quiet." Ares scratched his beard, "Right uh I guess I just wanted to say ummm…"

Hephaestus pushed him out of the way, sending him through the wall into the next room, "We're sorry little brother, if we'd known you were under the influence of lotus we wouldn't have encouraged you to do all that." Hikaru gave him a small nod of forgiveness towards him as he turned towards his older brother, "Now that I'm up let's talk Taiga, give me whatever excuse you have before I speak."

Taiga avoided his gaze as he nervously scratched his arm, "I don't have any excuses Hikaru, I wanted you to relax and cheer up but you weren't doing it how I wanted so I listened to Dionysus instead of listening to you." Hikaru crossed his arms and nodded, "Yeah you didn't listen to me, I told you multiple times I wasn't comfortable and didn't like what your plans were. Taiga I gave this vacation a chance because I believed in your sincerity that you wanted to cheer me up, but at every turn you've let me down. I told you what I wanted to do, but you didn't care because as much as you support my love of history you always consider it nerd stuff and usually I ignore it but this time I can't. Taiga I know you can't understand how I feel because you don't remember Hermes but you couldn't at least try to be sympathetic?"

Taiga let out a sigh, "I'm sorry Hikaru, I really am. I never meant for you to get hurt, I just cared about you seeing my way of relaxing and fun and that wasn't fair to you or Mizuki who got roped in too." Hikaru scoffed, "I really don't want to hear your excuses Taiga, or your want your apology. Honestly I'm surprised Achilles let you do something this stupid."

Achilles appeared from his orb, letting out a chuckle, "Because Dionysus was right, it would piss off Apollo and that's all I cared about." Hikaru sighed and shook his head in disappointment, "You Greeks can be so petty sometimes, it's going to get someone killed eventually. You know what, I just don't want to be here anymore, you can stay here and let this eat away at you Taiga but I'm leaving."

The Olympians nodded and went back into their orbs, as he turned to leave the apartment, Mizuki walking after him. She turned around briefly and glared at Taiga, "It's minor in comparison, but getting me to model while on that lotus, you're on my permanent shit list for that." She turned back around and followed Hikaru out, the door slamming behind them as Taiga sat there, beating himself up in his mind.

As he decided to stop staring at the floor, he looked up to see Takuya standing there, a bag of groceries in his hands, "So do I dare question what just happened or?" Taiga sighed as his cousin joined him at the table, "How much of that did you hear?" Takuya shrugged, "Enough to get the basic picture, you overstepped Hikaru's boundaries and got yourself in trouble, not like you haven't done that before." Taiga looked at him in confusion, "No I haven't, I always respect his boundaries."

Takuya chuckled, "Taiga, I love both of you but you two couldn't be more different, Hikaru usually goes with the flow but you regularly make him do things he gets uncomfortable with." Taiga said nothing for a moment before speaking, "I really messed up this time Takuya, he's never actually yelled at me before."

Takuya nodded, "Everyone has their breaking points Taiga, and maybe if you didn't mess with his best friend as well then you wouldn't have made him reach his. Doesn't matter now though, yeah you messed up and ignored him when he was telling you exactly what he wanted to do on his vacation, but you didn't listen to him and that caused trouble."

Taiga sighed as he nodded in agreement, "I was being selfish, I thought I'd be bored going to that museum so I didn't want to do what he wanted, I'm a horrible brother."

Takuya smiled and shook his head, "No you're not a horrible brother Taiga. Everyone experiences a time where there's something they don't want to do, it's part of being human. Sometimes you have to suck it up and do it if you really want to cheer someone up, it's what people do for those that we love. And I know you really love Hikaru, so stop sitting here, beating yourself up and go after him. It's Hikaru, he's a softie and will forgive you if you truly realize where you messed up."

Taiga nodded as he stood up, "Yeah you're right Takuya, I'm going after them. Has anyone told you that you're really good at teaching a lesson?" Takuya chuckled as he watched Taiga run out the door, it was why he was a teacher after all.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

It didn't take him long to catch up to the two, almost out of breath as he had to admit they'd gotten a lot farther than he thought he would. Hikaru stopped, turned around and looked at him, "What do you want Taiga? I was hoping you'd get the message I didn't want to talk to you."

Taiga nodded and put up his hand, "Then listen to me for a second." Hikaru crossed his arms, 'You have 30 seconds." Taiga let out a breath, "I'm sorry ok, I shouldn't have listened to Dionysus, but I just refused to listen to you because I was being selfish. Yes I knew you didn't like the beach, yes I knew you didn't like large crowds or parties like that. But I kept refusing to listen because I didn't think I'd have fun at the museum and thought instead I could get you to have fun if I forced it enough. I truly am sorry that I resorted to giving you the lotus because I'm too thick headed to listen. You don't have to forgive me, or even talk to me ever again, but you're my brother and I'm sorry I didn't give what you wanted a chance."

Hikaru frowned, "Taiga, do you want to know why I even agreed to come here? Because I wanted to spend time with you, because sometimes you aren't around because of modeling. I wanted to spend time with Mizuki because with everything going on I was ignoring my best friend, and best I wanted to see Takuya too. But most importantly because I don't want to keep being upset about Hermes dying, death is terrifying to me Taiga, and seeing an immortal being die so easily, it made me think of what chances do I have to make this out alive? It terrifies me Taiga, and I'm sorry that I've been on edge and snappy, but if you're actually willing to listen to me now, then I can forgive you for this."

Taiga nodded, "I promise, I'll respect your boundaries and what you want more." There was a silence as Ares and Hephaestus appeared, Apollo having been silent as he watched the exchange between the Kinami brothers. Ares cleared his throat, "I suppose we should apologize too I guess, we've been acting like everything has been normal when really we were just trying to avoid the truth."

Hephaestus nodded in agreement, "We were grappling with the fact that we can die while contained in these orbs, not to mention being scared over how quickly Hermes was gone, all traces erased." Ares crossed his arms, "Yeah that, death isn't something we've had to deal with before."

Apollo let out a sigh, "I suppose that's the best apology I'm gonna get from Ares. I admit that I've been upset because I blame myself for what happened. Hermes died for me and I can't help but feel regret because there was so much I would've wanted to say to him but can't now." Mizuki crossed her arms, "Well that was quick and easy."

As she said this they heard screaming, Dionysus running up to them, trying to hide behind Taiga, "You gotta help me! That horse rooster thing is chasing me, it wants to take me to the Titans since it couldn't kill the kid." Hikaru and Taiga both looked at him, Taiga shaking his head, "Yeah nah you caused enough trouble for us, maybe we should let the Titans have you."

Dionysus shook his head rapidly as he fell to his knees, crawling over to Hikaru, "You, you're Mythos, surely you wouldn't let me get taken. You're supposed to work for us." Hikaru frowned, "I nearly got killed because of you, I'm not really keen on helping you."

Dionysus cowered, "Alright fine, I promise I won't keep manipulating people to try and get them to party with me as long as I'm in Japan. I'll be good, I swear." Hikaru and Taiga were both silent as the Hippalektryon arrived, snarling at them, "Give me the party god and I'll leave peacefully." Dionysus looked up at the brothers, a pleading look on his face, "Come on, I swear on the river Styx that I won't cause trouble."

The brothers nodded at each other as they both took out their drivers, "PANTHEON DRIVER!" "HERO DRIVER!" The two walked forward, taking out the respective orbs, "Hikaru I don't know about you but I think Dionysus is my least favorite god we've met." Hikaru nodded, "I agree, once we defeat this thing let's hope he doesn't stick around."

Hikaru scanned the orb in his hand, Taiga inserting his into his driver, "HEPHAESTUS ORB!" "READY FOR BATTLE!" The Hero driver began the chant of its soldiers as both did their respective poses

"What's beyond the chains?! Break freeeee!"

"What's beyond the chains?! Break freeeee!"

Both activated their drivers, yelling "HENSHIN!" Quickly both were engulfed in the usual effects their drivers came to live, "CRAFT ON! RED HOT FLAMES! FORGE AHEAD! (THE FORGING GOD) HEPHAESTUS FRAMEEEEEE YEAH!" "Demi-On! Rise up! The invincible warrior (Glory over all!) Achilles Frameeeeee! Yeah!"

Kamen Rider Mythos and Demi finished their transformations, both summoning their respective weapons as they charged at the Hippalektryon, the monster not actually being that skilled in fighting, getting almost beat back and forth by the brothers as Mythos swung his hammer at it, sending it flying towards Demi who bashed it with the back of his shield, sending it flying and landing in a crater. Dionysus laughed as he pointed at the Hippalektryon, "Ha, that's what you get for messing with me."

Hearing this, Mythos walked over to him, grabbing him by the shoulder, "How about you help too?" The god of wine's eyes closed as his orb appeared from his chest, the body collapsing as Mythos grabbed the orb, placing it into the hammer, "DIONYSUS FAVOR: UOHANMA!"

A large apparition of a grape vine appeared, the purple grapes burning with fire as Mythos readied his hammer, "Hey Taiga how about we squash some grapes?" Demi nodded and prepared his shield, "Sounds good to me."

Mythos swung at the grapes, breaking it into multiple grapes, some hitting the Hippalektryon as Demi ran after the others, hitting them with his shield and causing them to hit the Hippalektryon, injuring it further as one large grape appeared, both Mythos and Demi jumping up, respectively hitting it with their hammer and shield, sending the flaming grape down at the monster, colliding and causing it to explode into feathers.

The two landed as they stood victorious, "That might've been the easiest monster we've ever fought." As the two detransformed, Dionysus's orb flew back to his collapsed borrowed body, the god quickly getting to his feet, "Well that was uncomfortable, please never do that again." Taiga laughed at him, "Consider it you getting off easy for what you've caused." Dionysus, "Right well, like I've said I'm not a fighter so I'll be going, goodbye Kinami brothers, goodbye actual brothers, and goodbye Mizuki, call me if you ever want to date a god."

He quickly ran away, Apollo crossing his arms, "I've never seen him move so fast." Hikaru frowned, "Should we really let him just be running away?" Hephaestus reluctantly nodded, "Dionysus has a way of falling under the radar so the Titans won't find him again. He'll show back up when we've retaken Olympus and honestly it may be for the best anyway, he's too much trouble."

Hikaru nodded as Taiga put an arm around him, "Well with that handled how about we go to the museum?" Hikaru gave him a small, "Best idea you've had all trip." The group began to walk towards the museum, nothing being said as Taiga had learned a valuable lesson this day.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Taiga leaned against a wall, watching his brother talking animatedly with their older cousin about what he assumed was nerdy stuff, he didn't mind anymore, his brother smiling was worth it. Mizuki stood next to him as he turned towards her, "So I know I focused on apologizing to Hikaru but I am sorry you got roped in too."

Mizuki frowned and punched him in the arm, "Get those modeling pictures deleted and you'll be off my shit list." Taiga chuckled and nodded, "The director will be annoyed at me but I have enough pull to get that done." Mizuki said nothing as they watched Hikaru and Takuya go to the next exhibit, Hikaru waving the two over. Taiga walked over to his little brother as he pointed at something, "Hey Taiga I think you'll like this one."

Taiga walked over to him and raised an eyebrow, seeing a few Greek looking statues and diorama of a Labyrinthe , "I didn't know this place had any Greek pieces." Hikaru nodded, "It's only a few things but I thought you'd like this, it's dedicated to Theseus, the founder king of Athens."

Taiga looked at the small statue, "You mean like the ship of Theseus, Theseus?" Hikaru laughed, "He;s known for more than that. Theseus was the son of Poseidon who volunteered to go into a great Labyrinth to deal with the minotaur, thanks to the daughter of the king Crete was able to find his way through it and slay the beast.

He was pretty heroic and helped set up Athens as a great city." Taiga crossed his arms, "Yeah you're right, he does sound pretty cool. I guess I was wrong about the museum being boring." Hikaru gave him a small smile, "It all depends on how you look at things." As Hikaru began to explain more things to Taiga, the Olympians watched on, Ares chuckling, "Well I guess all ends that ends well."

Apollo nodded, "Little bumpy but it's turning out to be a good vacation." Hephaestus frowned, "Yeah but does anyone else feel like we're being watched?" The other two looked at him in confusion, both clearly thinking their little brother was just being paranoid, unaware of just how right he truly was.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

It was early in the morning as the trio stepped out from Takuya's apartment, Mizuki stretching as she turned towards Takuya, "Thanks for letting us stay here, it was great to meet you." Takuya nodded, "Yes, hopefully I can come to visit you guys and Auntie next time. Shame you can't stay longer but I know you need to catch the train." Hikaru nodded, "She'd love to see you."

Taiga smiled and hugged his cousin, "Try not to blow up your apartment." Takuya chuckled and put a hand on both his cousins shoulders, "No promises, now try not to get hurt you two, the world does need saving but keep each other safe."

The Kinami brothers looked at each other as Hikaru raised an eyebrow, "What are you talking about Takuya?" Takuya laughed again, "Let's just say being a Kamen Rider runs in the family and leave it at that until next time." Before they could ask him to explain things further he stepped back, slamming the door in their faces.

As the two looked at each other, Taiga laughed slightly, "You know him being a rider would probably explain why he's weird sometimes." As the three prepared to head towards the train the wind began to blow wildly, a gold portal appearing in front of them. None having time to react as they got sucked in, leaving no traces of them as the portal closed.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

It was cold as Mizuki opened her eyes, the only light being torches against the walls as she stood up. She approached the wall, knocking against it, "Stone? What happened?" Meanwhile Taiga awoke as well, being in a more open area as he looked around, "Hikaru? Mizuki? Where the hell is everyone?"

In another part of wherever they were, Hikaru had awakened as well, the young historian being the only one who knew where they might be, "Is this the Labyrinth? That's impossible, that would've been dust by now after all these years." It dawned on him, all three of them were pulled into that portal, so now Taiga and Mizuki were trapped somewhere else as they were all separated.

From elsewhere in the Labyrinth, Prometheus watched into a portal, watching all three of his new victims trying to figure out where they were. He smiled as Daedalus appeared beside him, "It's been released."

Prometheus nodded, "Good, now we get to watch it hunt and then I'll be reuniting you with your son." Daedalus said nothing as they watched the portal, something slithering in darkness, none of the three humans realizing what awaited them deep within the Labyrinth.

Mizuki walks endlessly through the maze
