Chapter 5:
HMS Bounty (Klingon Ship)
The crew visit the old Klingon ship from the time of Kirk and crew when they lost the original 1701 Enterprise. No A Is installed; just some maintenance crews.
"Qapla!" Geordi greeted the Klingons performing maintenance. The officers nodded their heads in respect. "Commodore, the new captain wishes to speak with you in his private room." "Thank you, Lt. Carry on."
Picard and Geordi enter the ready room. The back of the chair facing them. "Admiral Jean-Luc Picard, Starfleet. Retired!" The occupant swivels the chair. "General Kurn, son of Mogh" "For a time, I was called Rodek, son of Noggra; but since my memory was restored 15 years ago by Dr. Julian Bashir of DS9, I remember everything, even a certain brother of mine!" "And I know he'd be thrilled to see your old self again, General." Laughing, the men embrace. "It is an honorable feeling to see you and Mr. LaForge again." "So, you're commandeering this old bucket of Klingon bolts." "For the time being, the captain is on his way." An alert sounds on his table, "Indeed, he's just arrived to the Bridge. Come!"
The three men arrive on the Bridge. "Qa'pla!" The crew have been told that the new captain will take their lives into his hands. "Stations, please." The new captain looks to his Uncle. "General, with your honorable permission, I take command of this vessel, the IKS Mogh. I relieve you." Kurn puts his fisted arm to his chest, "I stand relieved. We have some guests who wish to see us off." Kurn stepped aside, the captain's eyes widen, "Captain! Mr. LaForge." He hugs his friends, "Alexander, son of Worf, so grown up and now a captain in the Klingon Defense Force. Your father would be proud. And you name this ship after your Klingon grandfather." "Correct, sir. And I hope that this ship goes where no Klingon has ever gone before." "As the Chancellor says, "Glory to you and your House." Picard and Geordi take their leave of the IKS Mogh. Alexander sends the ship back to Qo'noS to attain orders from the High Council.
Chancellor Gorkon's Kronos One is stationed there. It is a reminder of the continued alliance between the Klingon Empire and the United Federation of Planets and Starfleet. Chancellor Martok, visits the ship yearly. The ship is maintenanced by KDF forces and officers such as Barok, D'Ghor, Divak, H'tah,
Huraga, Kargan, Ka'togh, Kerla (II), Klaa (II), K'Nera (II), and so many other fine, honorable warriors.
