His feelings regarding his crewmate and friend, Lieutenant Jane Shepard, however, weren't as clear cut. She'd taken up residence in his head and wouldn't leave. Parallel AU, Complete.

Our story takes place after Humanity narrowly avoids destroying itself and despite all odds manages to learn from its mistakes. Being a better, kinder species when they encounter another race in need they pull out all the stops to lend assistance.
