It was a few days after Marinette returned to Paris. Danny and Marinette kept in contact with each other through video chats and playing online games. The two talked about how everything was going with them. They even listen to each other's music.

As days passed, the two superheroes decided what to do on spring break and summer vacation to see each other again.

Marinette was now walking with her best friend, Alya , to class as the two chatted.

Marinette became excited about all the plans they would make on their breaks and began to tell Alya what they would do when they made those plans.

"So you're going to go to Andre to get your sweetheart ice cream, show him around Paris, and have a romantic kiss on the Eiffel Tower…" Alya counted all the things that Marinette wanted to do with Danny.

"Yeah, and I can't wait for him to get here during spring break…" She was excited to see her American boyfriend again.

"Wow, you got it, bad girl…" Alya was surprised by Marinette's excited look on her face.

"Yeah, I think I'm falling in love with Danny…" Marinette had a lovesick expression on her face.

"So you're completely over on, you know who…" Alya whispered in her best friend's ear.

Marinette slightly flushed before shaking her head at those thoughts and giving Alya a confident smile.

"I'm completely over Adrien. The only person who drives this compass crazy is Danny Fenton…" Marinette told her best friend.

Alya didn't believe that Marinette had gotten over Adrien that fast.

"What, you don't believe me, then watch me talk to Adrien and prove you wrong…" She tries to prove her wrong by walking over to Adrien, who is talking to Nino.

The two boys noticed Marinette approaching them and waved toward the young fashion designer.

"Hey, Marinette…" Adrien greeted.

"Uh , hey Adrien, hi Nino…" Marinette said with a slight blush.

"Hey, Marinette, it's good to see you again. So, how did you enjoy your time in America?" The blonde model asked.

"It was fine…" Marinette said.

"You saw ghosts and the ghostly superhero dude Danny Phantom , right?" Nino asked the bluenette.

"Yeah, I did get to see him. He saved me from some ghost that thought I was a Ladybug from the past…" Marinette told them. "He fought the ghost and captured it like a Ladybug does with the Akumas…."

"I heard that he cracked jokes as much as Cat Noir…" Adrien said.

"Yeah, he can be funny as Cat Noir, and he is a nice guy…" Marinette chuckled, thinking about how funny and kind he was.

"I also heard that you have a boyfriend over there…" Nino asked.

"Yeah, his name is Danny Fenton, and he is the sweetest, kindest guy you ever meet," she gusted. "He's my spectral knight…"

Adrien and Nino saw Marinette pull out the picture.

"So this is him?..." Nino said.

He then noticed something.

"Wait, Spectral Knight?..." Adrien asked, and even Nino raised a brow.

"It's my pet name for him..." Marinette explained.

"Yeah..but why spectral knight?..." Nino asked.

"Well, he likes to protect people like a knight, and he lives in a haunted town..." Marinette said hurriedly.

She smiled at Danny's picture, feeling a slight tingle in her heart when she looked at it.

"Well, well, Dupain-Chang is back from the exchange student program. I was enjoying my time without you being here…" Chloe said with Sabrina behind her.

Marinette groaned at Chloe for trying to start something with her.

"Who's that on the picture, Marinette? He's kinda cute…" Sabrina asked as Chloe took the picture from Marinette's hands.

"He must be one of Dupain-Chang's new lame American friends…" Chloe scoffed.

"Hey! Danny is not lame; he is my boyfriend, Chloe!" Marinette stated, and Chloe laughed at her.

"Yeah, right, you have a boyfriend. That is utterly ridiculous, utterly ridiculous. It would have taken you 1 million years to even talk to a boy and then to have him as a boyfriend…" Chole scoffed.

"I can talk to a boy; Danny is my boyfriend!" Marinette said as Chloe decided to leave.

"Marinette, you shouldn't let Chloe get to you like that…" Adrien told her.

"You right A-Adrien. I shouldn't let her bother me if she doesn't believe I have a boyfriend or not…" Marinette said.

"Anyway, I think we should head to class. We don't want to be late, especially when you're returning from America…" Adrien said.

Adrien and Nino left with Marinette waving goodbye to them.

"I got to say I'm somewhat impressed that you could talk to him without babbling too much…" Alya smiled at her best friend.

"You think so, Alya?…" Marinette asked.

"There was a little stammering, but we will resolve that problem soon..." Alya said.

Marinette smiled that she had slightly improved in talking to Adrien. She wondered what Alya meant by resolving the problem.

Later

Marinette's classmates were out of class because their teacher, Mrs. Mendeleiev, wasn't in today, so they had an hour out of class.

"With us having an hour out of class, we can help Marinette get over Adrien and continue with her new love story with her new boo..." Alya told the other girls.

"I can't believe that Marinette found someone else to love. I thought that was impossible..." Rose gasped.

"Yeah, I thought that to Rose, but being around Danny made me feel like he was the missing piece to my puzzle…" Marinette slightly blushed.

Marinette's friends were cooing about how Marinette felt so special with Danny.

"And now you must get completely over Adrien to have this happy ending…" Alya said.

"How are we going to do that?"

Alya hummed almost wickedly, drawing the attention of the room. Her intentions were pure, but her sly face made her friends question that.

"I got the perfect plan…"Alya said.

"Are you sure it's perfect?…"Juleka said.

"Y-yeah. You…kinda look the opposite…" Rose said from behind Juleka.

Alya pushed her hands forward. "Give me a moment. I got it…" she said.

Marinette checked her phone as she entered the Trocadéro. Alya texted her to meet her here, but that was it. She was wondering what the secrecy was for.

Things had mostly stayed the same since she visited Amity Park, save for Danny. The raven-haired boy entered her mind as she smiled warmly.

For the first time, she found love, and it was reciprocated.

But a flash of blonde hair clouded her thoughts as she snapped out of her thoughts with a gasp. As if Murphy's law was in effect, she saw the same shade of golden yellow as Adrien came into view.

The boy looked at her, hearing the gasp, as he made his way to check on her. "Marinette, are you ok?…" he asked.

The boy meant no harm in his concern. He had always been that kind, one of the qualities that made Marinette crush on him in the first place.

The conflict grew dark in Marinette's heart as her blue eyes locked with Adrien's green eyes.
