It was late at night at Duel Academy, and everything was quiet until a bright light flashed in the sky. Then, a meteor fell out of the sky and crashed into the volcano on the island, a voice from inside the meteor calling out to Jaden for help. Jaden heard the voice and began walking towards the impact site. When he got there, he saw that the meteor had left a tunnel into the volcano. He went down it and found himself inside the volcano on a rock ledge over the lava.

"It's nice to see you Jaden," the voice greeted, and Jaden asked them who they were. The next morning, Chazz was walking away from the campus, and everyone was commenting about his wardrobe change. One of the students said they heard Chazz had totally lost it before another asked who wears white after labor day.

"You know, I'm not afraid to get this outfit dirty. I've got three more," Chazz informed, and they all scrambled to get away from him. "They'll all be dressed in white soon enough. Of course they won't look as good as me," Chazz mused to himself as he walked off. Up in the chancellor's office, Bonaparte had just watched the scene unfold while Crowler was signing paperwork.

Bonaparte said he had an idea, and Crowler asked if he was finally going to shave off his ridiculous mustache. "No, I'm thinking of getting big pink ruffles and a ponytail. Oh wait, you already have that look covered. Now listen, with Jaden still missing and Chazz a few livers shy of a pate, this is the perfect time to dismantle their dorm," Bonaparte suggested, but Crowler refused.

"If you want the school to improve, feel free to offer tutoring to the Slifers. Finally, that's the last document," Crowler said, but Bonaparte said he wasn't finished yet before placing another stack of papers on his deck and taking the signed papers away. "You may not be willing to get rid of the red dorm, but I am," he thought to himself as he pulled out a paper he had snuck in: a form that would allow him to tear down the Slifer dorm if one of the students lost a duel to someone of his choosing, and he had the perfect duelist in mind.

"I'm going back to Duel Academy?" Aster asked once Sartorius told him the reason he called the pro to his office. "That's right. I've booked you for a last-minute match tonight. I think you'll find it's in your best interest," Sartorius advised, but Aster said that after losing his Destiny Heroes, he didn't feel like dueling.

"I thought you would say that, which is why I had these ready," Sartorius said as he pulled out a deck and handed it to Aster, who looked through it and saw his Destiny Hero cards. "But how? I gave my deck to Michael after he beat me," Aster pointed out, and Sartorius said the deck was a replica he had constructed in case he lost to Michael.

"I can't use these. I already desecrated my father's name using his cards as tools, I can't insult him more using counterfeits," Aster said as he put the deck on the table and turned to leave, but Sartorius asked Aster to face him. Aster looked his manager in the face, but as he did, Sartorius' eyes glowed, and Aster's glazed over.

Sartorius asked Aster what he had to say on the matter now, and Aster said he would duel and his opponent would see the light before grabbing the counterfeit deck. "Glad you could see it my way. Your flight leaves at 10 pm sharp," Sartorius informed, and that night, Alexis, Hassleberry, and Chazz were standing in front of a sign that said if they lost the duel, the dorm would be torn down.

Alexis asked how they could do this, and Hassleberry said that when the enemy is in charge, the battle is in their favor before saying the future of the red dorm was in Alexis' hands. "Touching speech serge, but this fight is meaningless. Soon the whole school, no the whole world will be united in the Society of Light. But go ahead and save your little dorm," Chazz said before walking off, Alexis shouting it was his dorm as well.

"At ease ma'am. You've gotta prepare for combat," Hassleberry reminded, and Alexis said she wouldn't let Jaden down. A few hours passed and the two of them walked to the front of the school. Alexis asked who scheduled a duel at midnight, and Hassleberry it was someone who was up to no good.

Alexis heard Syrus ask if it was true, and she and Hassleberry turned around and saw their friends running up to them. "They're really going to tear down the red dorm if you lose? But that's against regulations," Bastion pointed out, but Bonaparte said it was allowed if you had the chancellor's signature before walking out of the school's entrance.

Lily asked what he meant about the chancellor's signature, and Bonaparte held up the form he tricked Crowler into signing, explaining that with it, if Alexis lost, the Red Dorm was history. Syrus couldn't believe Crowler would sign a form like that, and Bonaparte admitted Crowler may or may not have known what he was signing.

Alexis said it was unfair, and Bonaparte said it wasn't his fault if Crowler didn't pay attention before saying she should be more worried about his opponent. Alexis asked who she was dueling, and Aster walked up behind the group, saying he was her opponent. Everyone was surprised Aster was there, and Aster greeted them before saying he wanted to get the duel over with.

They made their way into the arena and Alexis and Aster stood on opposing sides of the ring. Aster put his deck into his duel disk and Alexis could sense a powerful aura coming off of him. "What's this pressure? I have a bad feeling about this," Alexis thought to herself. Aster said for Alexis to get her game on, but a voice at the entrance to the arena shouted that was their line.

Everyone turned to the arena entrance and saw a familiar person running towards them. "Jaden! You're okay!" Alexis shouted as she ran and embraced him, telling him she was worried about him. "Sorry Lex. Oh, I almost forgot. Here," Jaden said as he pulled out Alexis' scarf and returned it to her.

"You held on to it?" Alexis asked, and Jaden said he had to, because it was a gift from someone important to him. Alexis pulled Jaden into a kiss, and although he was surprised at first, he returned the gesture. Hassleberry asked where Jaden had been, and Jaden said Michael's plan worked, and that he got to transported to Neo Space and met new heroes who breathed new life into his deck.

The two ran and embraced each other.

Syrus asked if that meant he could see his cards again, and Jaden said he could, and that since he got back to Duel Academy, he'd been going around the island to meet the other Neo-Spacians, and then when he found the last of them, he ran back to the dorm and saw the sign for the duel. Jaden turned to Alexis and asked to take her place, and Alexis agreed, telling Jaden to be sure to win.

All his friends began cheering for Jaden, but Aster said it didn't matter if Jaden was dueling him as no heroes on earth could match the Destiny Heroes. "Weren't you listening? My heroes are from space, not earth," Jaden reminded, but the others were confused why Aster was talking about his Destiny Heroes after he gave them to Michael.

Aster: 4000 LP

Jaden: 4000 LP

"I'll kick things off, and who better to start the hurt than my Diamond Dude?" Aster asked as he summoned the monster in attack mode.

Level 4/Dark/Warrior

ATK 1400/DEF 1600

Syrus asked how Aster still had his Destiny Heroes, and Hassleberry said he didn't know, but hopefully Jaden was better equipped to take them on this time. "Now I activate Diamond Dude's special ability. Once each turn, I can look at the top card of my deck, and if that card is a normal spell, it's sent to my graveyard and I can activate it on my next turn. The card is Graceful Charity, so it's sent to my graveyard. I'll end my turn there," Aster finished. "My move, I draw! And this monster will certainly make a splash. I summon Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin in attack mode!" Jaden declared.

Level 3/Water/Warrior

ATK 600/DEF 800

Bastion was surprised Jaden really did meet aliens, and Jaden continued by activating his Fake Hero spell card, explaining that with it, he could summon an Elemental Hero from his hand under the conditions that it couldn't attack and would return to his hand during the end phase, summoning his Elemental Hero Bladedge.

Level 7/Earth/Warrior

ATK 2600/DEF 1800

"Now I activate Aqua Dolphin's special ability. By discarding a card, I get to peek at your hand and pick a monster card, and then if there's a monster on my field that has more attack points, your monster is destroyed, and you take 500 points of damage," Jaden explained as Aqua Dolphin emitted a barrage of sound waves at Aster's hand, revealing his Captain Tenacious.

Aster: 3500 LP

"I'll throw down a face-down and call it a turn, which means Bladedge returns to my hand," Jaden finished. "Lucky shot. I draw! And since Diamond Dude sent it to my graveyard last turn, I can activate Graceful Charity, letting me draw three cards as long as I discard two after. And now I play the field spell Mausoleum of the Emperor!" Aster declared as a thick mist covered the arena, and when it lifted, Jaden and Aster were standing on a bridge over a pit filled with stone statues.

"See the statues underneath us? Well they're not just for show. We can sacrifice them instead of monsters to tribute summon, as long as we sacrifice 500 life points for every monster we'd need to sacrifice. Using that effect, I'll gave up 1000 life points to summon Destiny Hero Dreadmaster in attack mode!" Aster shouted.

"And since he was summoned, I can bring back up to two Destiny Heroes in my graveyard, so welcome back, Captain Tenacious and Doom Lord!"

"Due to Dreadmaster's other effect, his attack and defense become equal to the total attack of my other Destiny Heroes."

Dreadmaster: ?-2800 ATK/DEF

"If Jaden takes all of those attacks, he'll lose the duel!" Bastion exclaimed, and Aster ordered Dreadmaster to attack Aqua Dolphin, but Jaden revealed his Negate Attack, stopping the monster in its tracks. Aster ended his turn, and Jaden said he was using Aster's field spell to summon Neo Space's own hero. "Welcome to Duel Academy, Elemental Hero Neos!" Jaden introduced.

Jaden: 3000 LP

Neos

Level 7/Light/Warrior

ATK 2500/DEF 2000

Aster said he had never seen Neos before, and Jaden said that Neos could use the breath of the cosmos to contact Neo-Spacians, and that he was a unique, miraculous hero. Aster asked Jaden what he meant, and Jaden said he'd show him. "I join Neos and Aqua Dolphin with contact fusion! Come forth, Elemental Hero Aqua Neos!" Jaden shouted.

Level 7/Water/Warrior

ATK 2500/DEF 2000

Alexis was surprised by Jaden's new deck, and Syrus said it was pretty cool. "I activate Aqua Neos' special ability. By discarding one card from my hand, two random cards in your hand are destroyed," Jaden explained as Aqua Neos fired beams of light from his eyes, hitting the center cards in Aster's hand and causing them to vanish. "And now I play the spell H - Heated Heart, which will power up Aqua Neos by 500 points this turn."

Neos: 2500-3000 ATK

"Now Aqua Neos, destroy Dreadmaster with Rapid Storm!" Jaden ordered as Aqua Neos created a ball of water in his hands before launching it as a stream at Dreadmaster, destroying him.

Aster: 2300 LP

"My Dreadmaster was beaten? I won't acknowledge that any heroes are better than mine!" Aster refused, and Jaden said that whether he liked it or not, his new heroes just beat Aster's best monster. Jaden ended his turn, but when he did, Aqua Neos glowed and returned to Jaden's deck.

"Why'd you leave? We're kinda in the middle of something here!" Jaden exclaimed, and Bastion said it looked like Jaden hadn't learned everything about his new deck yet, Syrus pointing out that with Neos gone, he was wide open. "My turn. Jaden, if you think you can overcome your destiny to lose, then go ahead and try. But first, I'll have all three of my monsters wage a direct attack on you," Aster said as all of his monsters rushed Jaden, knocking him to the floor.

Jaden: 200 LP

Alexis: Jaden!

"He's only got 200 life points left. If he can't turn things around next turn, he'll lose!" Lily shouted. Aster said his victory was assured, but Jaden said he was nowhere near finished, and that he hadn't begun to show what his new deck could do.

To be continued...
