"Yes sir. Good night." Jo clicks off the phone. Phew. So far her boss had no clue on what went down tonight, all she said that a random demon came to hurt Phoebe, and Jo was forced to take action.

She omitted the part about Dean, 'Alfie' and Jade, she didn't want them hurt. She told him she was borrowing a phone from Paige Halliwell, Phoebe's sister. (Jo doesn't know Paige has a different last name.)

"I did what I had to do, and escaped. As far as anyone knows, I voluntarily left on my own accord, I even got my doctor to sign off." Everything was prearranged beforehand, even her 'doctor.'

She paced around, listening to her next orders.

"Uh huh. No sir. There was a code in effect, it was a long term patient that wondered off. I didn't think much of it, I was just doing my job." She nodded at the voice on the line. "These women, I will be keeping an eye on them per my orders. Yes sir. Good night."

Jo came back from the sun room and handed Paige back her phone.

"Thanks. I hope your sister comes home soon."

"Me too."

She looked around the room. She knew the Supernatural existed, but to see actual witches? Plus two angels? She knew about Castiel, Dean's angel buddy, but that Anna girl was a former angel. And that Alfie kid. Jo had so many questions. Her parents didn't have a clue how vast the weird really was. Sheesh, being a hunter was way harder than it looked. Seeing Dean and Sam walking back inside, she immediately straightens up.

"Jo, we hadn't seen you in years. Why didn't you call, or text. Hell even a Metime message. Just how, how are you alive? Is your mom okay?" Sam asked. His curiosity was peaked.

"It's a long story. Do your friends want to listen or no? It is pretty boring."

Prue yawned.

"Actually, it looks like you three need some time to talk it over. I'm going to bed. What about the rest of you?"

"Same here. I'm going take a shower. Coming Paige? Paige!" Piper looked at Paige who was sitting there with a curious expression.

"What? Oh." She noticed her sisters giving her a look. Whoops. "I'm heading to bed. I got to be at work tomorrow. Night." Before she headed upstairs, she had to know. "Is your angel friend going to be alright?" The teenaged angel was out cold. Paige could see how 'dim' he looked.

"I'm going to call Cas. He can take Alfie back to Heaven so he can heal. I'm sure Heaven has their own infirmary. Good night." Dean told Paige.

"Night." The sisters go upstairs.

"So Jo, what happened. We saw the hellhounds. Your injuries were pretty serious. We left you and your mom Ellen at the hardware store. You were close to death. Then we saw the store blow up." Jo's injuries were bad, really bad. Most humans would have bled out in seconds. Jo stayed alive on shear will. Dean always felt guilty about that.

Jo screamed when the hellhound tore at her side. All she felt was pain, she didn't hear her mom screaming or notice when Dean carried her away to safety.

They were there to stop Lucifer and his demons. They were armed, but what they didn't expect was Meg. Bitch sent her hellhounds to attack, but Jo got sliced by one. Her injuries were so bad, she begged Sam, Dean and her mom Ellen to leave her to die. Then that explosion. The bombs they left behind blew that store sky high, taking the hellhounds with them.

Sam was racked with guilt for months, even though Jo said this is what she signed up for when she became a hunter.

"Dean, when you guys left, the hellhounds came in. Mom was ready to blow up the store, but there was a whistle. The hellhounds backed off. I didn't die. I was close, but death didn't claim me. Then a man walked in. He was wearing a mask." Jo took a deep breath. "We didn't see his face. I was unconscious from blood loss and shock. He told mom he can heal me. That I wasn't dead. He took me in his arms and we went out the back. The store blew up shortly after." Jo wondered how all that happened in a short amount of time. "Mom said the man chanted something, than he gave me a potion. Whatever he did, it stopped the bleeding. I woke up in a hospital. I was there for weeks. Mom was so happy that I woke up, she praised God. I asked her what happened."

Carthage, Missouri

"Mom. I'm cold."

"My jacket. Take it." Ellen was trying not to cry.

"Dean. Did...Did...He..." Jo's dream finally came true, Dean kissed her. Figures he'll wait till she was in the verge of death.

"The bombs are ready to go." There was at least four to five homemade propane bombs. "Those bastards are going straight back to Hell."

"Good." She was so tired. She needed rest.

"Joanna Beth Harvelle." Ellen sobbed.

Silence.

Ellen started crying. She kissed her daughter's head.

"I'll be right back." She had to open the doors, let those bastards in. Once she came back, she held on to her daughter.

Growl. Snort. Grrrr.

"I love you so much." She was ready. She lost almost everything, but not her spirit. "We won't let them win." She heard the footsteps, and when she felt the hot breath of sulphur, she got ready to press the button. "You could go straight back to Hell." Just when she was about to press that button, a sharp whistle was heard.

Immediately, every hellhound started whimpering. When Ellen looked up, she saw a man walking in wearing a dark mask. Ellen didn't have the Gun, but she did have a bomb. She prayed Sam and Dean were already gone.

"One step closer, and I blow this place sky high." She told the demon.

"I'm not here to kill you, I came to save her life." He nodded to a unconscious Jo.

"How dare you." Ellen said tearfully. Jo was gone, she knew it. She lost so much blood. "She's gone. Now let me go, so I can blow these fuckers back to Hell."

"She's still alive. The reapers, they are being held by Lucifer."

"Bull." That angel, he said there was hundreds in this town all waiting for something.

"I can save her. If you let me."

"I won't make a Deal." She'll be damned if she never sees Jo or Bill again.

"I'm not a demon. I'm human. I swear." He carefully walked over the wires and booby traps. "This is your last chance. May I?"

"Try one thing..." Ellen warned. She heard the breathing of the hellhounds, she was wondering why they were obeying this guy.

"I'm taking out a vial. This potion, it can save your daughter's life."

"How?" Ellen was ready to die, but if Jo was alive, she'll try anything.

"Put this in her mouth. It won't heal her, but it will stop the bleeding."

Jo was bleeding for hours. It was impossible for her to be alive. But Ellen was desperate.

"Honey, I have medicine for you. Drink up." Ellen opens up the container and pours it in her mouth. She tilted her head back so it can go down her throat. When she heard a tiny moan, she teared up.

"Good. We have to leave, this whistle. The hounds will break out of the trance soon."

"What about the bombs." She was holding a crude homemade detonator.

"I have a idea. Stand up, I'm going to carry her out."

"Be very careful." She held on to Jo's bandage, Ellen tried not to notice how hallow her wound felt.

"Follow me." He carries Jo out the backdoor.

He and Ellen ran as fast and far as they could before the explosion hit. Ellen prayed Sam and Dean made it out.

They were driving down a highway a few minutes later.

"Jo." Her breathing was very shallow and faint. "Can you step on it!" He was driving fast, but to Ellen was a snail's pace. "Why aren't we heading to the nearest hospital!" She was sure Carthage had one.

"We can't risk it. Besides, I know a better one, we're almost there!"

"Hang in baby. Hang on." Ellen was brushing back her hair.

The guy dropped off Ellen at the ER doors.

"I'll carry her in, but you are on your own."

Ellen was dodging questions about Jo's injuries. The guy warned her to be discreet as possible, he warned that she may get in trouble by the law.

Ellen was following the stretcher. The entire ER was fighting to save Jo's life.

"What happened to her?" A nurse asked while running to the trauma unit.

"She was bit by a wild animal, it was so fast."

"Call the OR, we need to prepare her for emergency surgery!" A doctor called out.

"Jo!" Ellen wasn't allowed to follow her inside.

"Ma'am, I hate to bring this up, but we need her medical info as well as insurance."

"Fine. I'll get you anything you need."

Ellen was drinking her eighth cup of coffee, she needed it. She was waiting outside the operating room of the hospital, she's been waiting for hours.

Ellen watched a blonde little girl asking her mom why they had to visit granddad. Why couldn't he visit them.

Ellen smiled, she reminded her of Jo when she was small. She yawned. What time is it? Ellen looked at the clock.

"It's been hours." Ellen said out loud. She ignored the strange looks. She can close her eyes for a few minutes, she didnt care what anyone thought.

When Ellen looked at the clock again, she saw how much time has passed.

"A whole day passed." It was night now.

She woke up with someone shaking her awake.

"Mrs Harvelle?" Ellen blinked, where was she? Seeing the scrubs, she was instantly awake.

"My daughter." She dreamed that they were saying goodbye in a jungle with her dead father. When she looked up, the waiting room was empty and the sky outside had a tiny bit of light. Sunrise was on its way.

"We managed to save her life. However, it took a lot of blood transfusions before she went to the OR, we had to make sure she'll made it to the operating table."

"Can I see her?"

"Very briefly. Mrs Harvelle."

"Call me Ellen."

"Ellen. What animal did this? She was torn through to her insides, the amount of injuries she had, she should have bled to death in minutes."

"I couldn't see it." Ellen said honestly. "I heard the barks and growls. My daughter was trying to save someone, and the bastard jumped her instead." Ellen chocked up seeing her daughter getting attacked. "She's exactly like her father, stubborn as she can be. All I had was a bandage, and I sat with her trying to stop the bleeding."

"All I could say, this is nothing more than a miracle. You can see her, but she is under a medical induced coma. We need to make sure she'll pull through, it can go either way."

"Thank you doctor." Ellen follows him to the ICU. "Oh baby."

Jo was attached to every machine there was. There was a breathing tube in her mouth, her eyes were taped shut, and had a heart monitor on her finger and chest.

"My baby girl." Ellen rushes to her. She took her hand and held it gently. So cold. "I'm right here." She starts crying. "I'm so sorry to bring you into the life. You deserve better than this."

She thanked God that He brought that man there.

"I have to buy him a beer. Or dinner. Hell, I'll give him everything I own." She didn't have the bar, but she did have her home with Bill's life insurance. "Baby, I'm not leaving your side." She pulled up a chair. "You, me. We'll go far away from here. We'll start over. No more hunting."

"She said that I was very close to death, the guy who saved me gave me a potion. The potion healed me. It was slow, but it stopped the blood from bleeding out. Then he took me to the hospital. The staff told mom, I should have been dead, I was ripped to shreds by the Hellhound. I was given a lot of blood transfusions and after they felt like I was going to pull through, they put me in surgery. I was operated on for seventeen hours. Then I was put in a medical coma for a long time. When I woke up mom was crying. She thanked God for me pulling through. She said if it wasn't for the man, we would have been dead."

"Who is that man? What about your mom? Is she okay?" Dean asked.

"I don't know. He paid for all my medical costs, he knew mom couldn't afford it. The only thing he asked for is that we work for him. He knew my mom was a hunter and I was a wannabe hunter. When I healed, he sent me away for training. Mom protested, but he said she signed a contract to save my life."

Ellen was reading a magazine when she heard moans. She hurries to Jo's side.

Jo was looking up. Or, trying too. Is she blind? She couldn't see anything.

"Mmh mm bllhh." Was she underwater? All she heard was muffling.

She felt so heavy.

"Jo? Baby. ...Awake? Doct..."

She was so tired. Just another hour.

Ellen was napping when she heard Jo's voice.

"Wa...ter...So...dr...y."

Ellen was awake in a instant.

"Honey?''

"The d...o...gs."

"Help! Someone!"

A few days later Ellen was giving her daughter a sponge bath.

"Mom, this is so humiliating." Jo was awake, but still very weak. "I'm a grown ass woman."

"Shush. It's for your own good." Once she washed and dried Jo's hair, she changed her to a clean nightgown.

"Thanks mom." Ellen bought it from the gift shop downstairs, kinda big, but Jo preferred that to the hospital gowns. "Where's Dean, where's Sam?"

"Far away from here." Personally she never wanted to see them again. Because of them, Jo was hurt.

"Did we win?" They only went there to stop the devil.

"Probably." Ellen didn't care.

"I'm tired." Jo felt so sleepy.

"Rest baby. Get better." She kissed her daughter's head. It didn't take Jo long to fall asleep, she was sleeping soundly in seconds. "I love you so much." She put a extra blanket on her. "I'm gonna get something to eat. I'll be right back."

Ellen was waiting in line at the cafeteria, when she heard a voice.

"Excuse me. Does this place serve beef wellington?"

"I truly doubt that." Ellen thanks the cafeteria worker and takes her takeout container to go back to Jo's room.

"Shame. Can you tell me, where can I get a good scotch."

"Any bar in town should do. Excuse me." Ellen needed to get back.

"I won't keep you. *Ms Harvelle.*" Sure enough, Ellen stops dead in her tracks. When she turned around, he smiles at her. "How is Joanna? Those wild dogs are pretty feral aren't they."

"You." His face mask was off, but he was wearing thick black glasses with a long biker beard and outfit. "Thank you." Because of him, Jo was alive. "You saved us both."

"It was my pleasure." Before Ellen could walk away, he handed her a envelope. "This is for you, good day." He left before Ellen could say another word.

Ellen just watched him walk away. Still holding on her food, she was wonder what he was doing here. Hearing someone asking for her to move, she broke out if her trance.

"Oh. Sorry." She needed to get back to Jo.

It was another few weeks before Jo was released from the hospital.

"I'm so glad to be going home. Speaking of, *where* was home?" Ellen never left town, claiming she needed to be close to Jo.

"Back in Nebraska." To earn money, she rented her home to trusted hunters. She stayed with a friend in town, only returning to take showers and to eat. She slept everyday with Jo, with a borrowed cot.

"Ugh. Getting there would suck." Jo was in a wheelchair. "The drive there would be fun." She laughed. Seeing Ellen's face, she asked what's wrong.

"It's nothing."

"Mom. I'm a adult. You don't need to protect me anymore. What's wrong." Jo saw her mom's face, she looked so worried.

Ellen sighed.

"It's bad." She handed Jo the hospital bill.

Jo's eyes went huge.

"This...How can we afford this?" The bill for Jo's care totalled over a million dollars. "Mom?"

Ellen looked like she was ready to cry.

"Not here. We can talk somewhere else." She stood up to push Jo out of the hospital.

"No!" She grabbed Ellen's hand. "Tell me now."

Ellen sighed, she sat back down on a chair.

"Fine." Jo was a grown woman. "I was desperate. Remember that night?"

Jo looked down and nodded. She remembered the pain of that hellhound ripping through her side. Then the hardware store. Saying her last goodbyes.

"I honestly thought I lost you. When you passed out, I thought you were gone. I was ready to die and set off the bombs. Then a man came in. He, he saved your life."

"I always wondered how I got here." When Jo realized where she was, she had mixed feelings. She hoped her mom didn't make a Deal, when she asked, Ellen didn't answer. All Ellen said is she took Jo to the nearest hospital. "He wasn't a demon, was he?" Jo hoped not. She had enough of them.

"I don't know. Angel, demon. It doesn't matter. When he came, he stopped the hellhounds from attacking. He gave you some medicine, it helped you from dying." Ellen took a deep sigh. "He took you out of there, and drove here. I didn't ask questions, all I cared about was you."

"But..."

"I got this." Ellen sighed. She handed Jo her envelope, the one that she got from that man in the cafeteria.

It stated that Ellen and Jo were now contractors. The letter said the organization will pay for all Jo's medical costs, as well as aftercare, but only if the agree for them to work for them as they see fit.

"What does this mean? A contractor?" Ellen was just a former bartender, Jo a college dropout.

"It means, sign away your rights and freedom." She explained what the guy wanted them to do, become monster hunters.

"But I'm in a chair. No way I could hunt." Jo didn't know what to think. It was hunting that got Jo here. "Don't we have insurance?" She knew Ellen got a payout from the Roadhouse when it burnt down. The fire department concluded that that a stove from the kitchen set the fire.

"I did, but I also got served." Those hunters that got caught in the fire, their families sued Ellen for negligence. "Even without that lawsuit, the insurance couldn't pay off the minimum part of the medical bill."

"Then what?"

"You need rehab, as well as cosmetic surgery." She knew how vain Jo was. The hellhound left her a huge scar.

"And?" Jo wasn't stupid.

Ellen sighed and handed her another paper.

"Mom? What is this?" It was a death certificate with Jo's name on it.

"It means we no longer exist."

"So this organization hired you guys?" Sam thought it sounded really shady.

"We had no choice. With mom and I dead, so to speak, we couldn't return to Nebraska. We couldn't go anywhere. We were broke and homeless." Jo sighed. "When we left the hospital, there was a van waiting. They took me, and mom was left behind."

Jo and Ellen were joking with the male nurse, he was young, maybe around Jo's age, and both him and Jo were flirting.

"So you put your life at risk to save a another person? That's so sick!" Meaning Jo was a badass. "I would've ran."

"Not me, although mom is scarier. Um, no offense." Jo joked. She expected a frown, but Ellen seemed so far away.

"I won't pry, you know because of HIPAA, but I saw you come in. Your mom there, she said you saved four people plus a town from getting attacked by wild dogs."

Jo looked at Ellen in surprise. Ellen just gave her a sad smile.

"They were friends." She thought about Dean, if it wasn't for her, he would have been killed. She told Dean she had self respect when he tried flirting with her before that night, but in reality, she wanted more than a hookup. If she would have known it was her last night on Earth, she would have jumped his bones.

"Well, we're here." Nurse Tyson said in a disappointed tone. Hospital policy required every patient leave in a chair with a staff member, even if the patient could walk. "No offense, but I don't want to see you back here. Unless you work here."

"Maybe someday." Hmm.

"Thank you so much." Ellen breathed in the fresh air.

"Bye!" Jo and Ellen wave goodbye as he goes inside. "Okay. Now what?" When they were alone.

When a black van showed up, Ellen tried to stifle her sobs.

"Mom?" Jo looked up. "What's wrong?"

"I love you so much. My baby girl."

"Mom, you're scaring me." Jo saw the door open, with a stern looking woman coming out. "Mom?"

"Joanne Beth Harvelle." Ellen kneeled in front of her, trying not to cry. ''These people, they want me to work for them. And want you as well."

"But how? I'm a gimp." Jo hated not moving around. "Plus I dropped out of college." She had okay grades in high school, but slacked off a lot.

"I don't know why. But remember, I will always love you." Ellen hugs her daughter in a tight squeeze.

"Oh mom." Jo started sobbing as well, the reality of their situation just hit her, she hugged her mom hard.

"Ma'am. It's time to go." The woman said in a cold tone.

"That's the last time I seen her, at least for while." Jo remembered crying seeing her mom sobbing.

Sam and Dean were silent. They were glad Jo and Ellen were okay, but at what price?

"Jo, who are these people?" Sam asked.

Jo shrugged.

"A mystery." Jo wondered for years, but knew not to ask questions. Every person that they thought wasn't fitting in, were transferred to another base. Rumors say those people disappear for good. "At least I get paid."

"And your mom?" Dean knew Ellen was tough, but she wasn't superwoman.

"My mom's fine. She is currently on a case in Nevada hunting a nest of vampires."

"So Ellen signed a contract to save you. I would have done the same thing for my loved ones. He isn't a demon is he?" A secret organization that saves total strangers, and only ask for their loyalty. Nothing suspicious about that. Dean thought.

"I don't believe so. The place I went to, they were professionals. They are great hunters. The technology they have. It is amazing. You two should come along."

"Ah, no thanks. We have our own ways to hunt. Wow. Jo you look great." Sam admired how Jo looked. Her hair was shorter, she was way more muscular and she no longer had that scared look about her. She was tough and confident.

"Thanks. You sure? They were inquiring about you, plus your friends. They said they could use all the help they can get."

"I'm sure. Jo, who is the guy you are working for?" Sam was worried. He was glad Jo was okay, but deals like Jo's and Ellen's came with a heavy price.

"I don't know. He never said his name. I don't even know what he looks like. None of us do. We don't know who the leaders are. We don't even have a name. They call, we go. That's it."

"Damn. Jo, why didn't you or your mom ever call?" Dean was annoyed. All this time Sam and Dean grieved Ellen and Jo deaths, and they were alive this whole time.

"We weren't allowed to. Like I said, we had to change our names, our Social Insurance numbers, everything. We had fake death certificates made up. They gave us new names. But our names changes every once in awhile. The organization we work for, they are pros. We have to keep our jobs as hunters a secret from the world. You understand why, your friends kept their secrets. I'm sorry. I wanted to reach out to you for years, but I couldn't. Besides, you two are doing fine without me."

"That isn't the point. We cared about you. We cried. Ash he gave his life for you."

"I know. Mom told me. She was glad I was out on a date that weekend. She was out buying supplies for the bar. When she came back The Roadhouse was in flames. We gave Ash a hunter's funeral, same with everyone else. We knew you needed to be elsewhere."

"Still. You could have left a message. That you and Ellen were alive but were busy. We could have kept your secret. You know us."

"I know. I'm sorry." Jo was silent.

Dean was angry. He knew he no right to be but he grieved for a long time after Jo and Ellen died. He had feelings for Jo. If he hadn't pushed her away, he could have convinced her not to be hunting. But he knew Jo. She would have followed him and his brother. Thank goodness Ellen was there to stop her. But, it wouldn't have mattered. Fate had stepped in.

Everyone was silent. Then Dean's phone rang. After he checked who was calling, he answered the phone.

"Cas. Where the hell are you. You left without telling any of us. Well our mission almost went to shit, we lost Anna, but we saved your teen angel. Yes, I'll let you in."

Dean got up and answered the door. Castiel was on the other side holding the phone to his ear.

"I'm hanging up now Dean." Damn he loved Cas like a brother, but damn he can be pretty obtuse sometimes.

"Castiel, your friend is hurt. Alistair did a number on him. Can you help him." Sam was worried. He knew that Samandriel, or Alfie as Dean called him, was seriously hurt.

Castiel walked over to Samandriel and put his fingers on his vessel's head.

"He is greatly wounded. But if I can take him to Heaven, he can heal. As for his vessel, I can heal him. I can also erase his memory. He will have no recollection of anything. Not of Samandriel, Alistair or anything. I recommend you call your friend at the hospital. He will be missed there."

"Thanks Cas." Sam didn't know this angel or Alfie, but he was worried.

After healing Alfie, Castiel left with the flutter of wings. Alfie, Samandriel's vessel was on the couch snoring quietly. His wounds were gone, and other than his bloody clothes, he looked healthy.

"Wow, these angels are good, aren't they?" Dean and Sam looked at Jo. For a minute, they forgot she was here.

"I never believed in angels, except for you and Lucifer who didn't count. All those bad things that kept happening, and no one came from Heaven. At least demons and monsters I can see, plus the supernatural. Damn. So does that mean God exists. If He does, I have a lot to say."

The next morning, everyone was in the kitchen eating the delicious breakfast Sam and Piper cooked. Sam didn't want Piper doing all the work and had helped her cook.

"More eggs?" Piper offered?

"Thanks, but I'm full." Alfie was wondering why he was here, last thing he remembered was serving up corn dogs at his part time job at Weiner Hut.

"This was delicious. Thank you." Jo was starving. The hospital food was crap.

Later that morning, after Alfie checked the news, he asked how he got all the way to San Francisco.

"My parents are going to kill me." His dad was very strict. "I'm so grounded." He knew he shouldn't have tried that cigarette from Jeffrey.

Dean was on the phone with Jade, telling her that there was another "missing patient." Jade had ensured him that Alfie Johnson was being checked out today, along with Jaime Brown. She asked both to come in to sign their walking papers.

After breakfast was over, Dean drove Jo and Alfie back to the hospital. None of the sisters or Sam could come, they were worried about that spell.

Jade told them that the spell was wearing off, without Samandriel, the magic was weakening. For that everyone was relieved.

"So Piper, how is Sam doing these days?" Paige asked Piper teasingly. Paige was helping Piper do the dishes, since Sam and Prue were upstairs looking at the magic book trying to find info about Alistair.

Piper's ears were pink.

"Fine. Sam is wonderful."

"Really. Cause..I was up. I couldn't sleep. I heard you going in your room, then an hour later I heard someone knocking on your bedroom door. Then a door opening. You guys were trying to be quiet, but I heard the bed squeak all night. I couldn't sleep. But I bet you and Sam gave each other a boost of energy. You are still awake."

Piper's face was bright red. She honestly believed that Sam and her were being quiet.

"So how is Sam in bed? How is his *attributes*. C'mon Piper, I hadn't had a boyfriend for a long time now. Spill."

Piper wished at that moment the world was ending. This is not a conversation she wished to have with Paige. Yes, she had boyfriends, and other flings that she had no problems sharing, but this was different. Sam was good friends with all of them.

"Sam is romantic. Not selfish, and a good man."

"C'mon, you know what I want to hear, give me the juicy details. Is his di-"

"Paige!"

"What? Is it?"

"If I tell you one thing, will you shut up."

"Maybe, if it's not a generic answer. I want a dirty answer."

Piper was blushing. She didn't want to answer it, but Paige was looking at her eagerly. So she threw her a bone.

"He is talented. His mouth, he knows what to do with it. As for what he is packing, I'm not telling. That is for my eyes only. Sorry sis."

"Realllly. You are one lucky girl. No wonder you always look so flushed whenever Sam comes around. Damn. Too bad Dean wasn't available. He is Sam's older brother."

"You dated him once. All you did was kiss."

"I know. I was shy back then. I should have got in the back of the Impala with him. Then I could have this itch scratched."

"How long has it been Paige?"

"Too long. For some reason, no guys are swiping right at me."

"Really?" Piper looked at her sister. Paige was attractive and had a great personality. Usually she had no problem finding dates. She wondered if it was Paige's crush on the Archangel Michael that was blocking her chances with other men. Michael was nice, but he and Paige could never be. She hoped Paige got back on the swing of things. She should play matchmaker and find Paige a suitor.

Meanwhile, Prue and Sam were upstairs practising Sam's magic spell work. Sam was getting frustrated. He practised the chant for weeks, but the spell refused to work. The spell Sam was trying to learn wasn't difficult, but for some reason Sam couldn't get the timing right.

Prue was being patient. She knew how hard some spells can be. Sam had the gift, but he wasn't born with magic like Prue and her sisters. He got blood spilled on his mouth from a demon as a baby. But Sam never complained. He used his magic abilities to do good things. For that Prue was grateful.

Dean told her about the other gifted children. Most were murdered, but the ones who embraced the dark side died violently. Like Ava, Jake and Max. Sam swore he wasn't like them.

Bam! Sam managed to move the object.

"I did it. Finally! I moved the stupid statue. Ugh. That took weeks. I wish I can move things easily like you can."

"It is not as easy as it looks. I have to tap into my emotions to do that. I usually have to be pissed off at someone to do it right."

"Well, if you were Dean, you would have been great at hunting. No one could stand a chance with you."

"If I combine my powers with my sisters, my powers get stronger."

"Like Dean, Dad and I. When we hunted together we did well. Heck, even after my dad died, my friend Cas stepped up and became a good hunter. He may be angel, but you should see how awful he was with social cues. He thought it was okay to come and go as he pleased with us."

"What do you mean?"

"He liked to fly into our rooms when we were sleeping or talk to us in our dreams, once he even flew inside our car when we were on the road. Dean almost crashed. But that wasn't the worst incident. The most embarrassing moment for Dean was when Dean was in the shower and Castiel was looking for him to find info about Lucifer. I was in the other room reading when I heard loud swearing and shouting. Dean walked out of the shower naked with shampoo in his hair with Castiel INSIDE the bathtub. Even for an angel, I could tell how embarrassed Castiel was. But then again, that could have been Jimmy Novak showing embarrassment. From that day on, Dean and I insist that Castiel calls first or we pray to him when he comes. We don't want a repeat of that incident again."

Prue couldn't help but start laughing. She liked Castiel, but she now understood why Sam and Dean insist on Castiel calling them first.

She smiled at Sam. She saw how good of a man he was, and could see why Piper loved him so much. Sam was kind, smart and brave. Plus none of the sisters would have to pretend. Sam, Dean and their friends knew about the supernatural.

She watched Sam moving an object on the floor. He was trying to master his magic.

Leaving Sam to practice, Prue looked in the Book of Shadows to find answers about Metatron or Alistair. As expected there was nothing about Metatron, the tablets or angels, but there was info about Alistair. Wow. According to the book, he came to Earth from time to time. He was around during the Dark Ages, and was directly responsible for creating the Brazen Bull. Credits where given to a sculptor, but it was actually Alistair that possessed him. No big shocker he left his vessel after the poor guy was thrown in. Ugh.

Prue wondered what happened to Alistair. Hopefully he was destroyed. After reading what she could she heard Dean's voice. He was back with one of his companions. Sam and Prue went downstairs to greet them.

"Dean! How did it go?" Sam asked.

"Great. Alfie here needs bus fare. I'm going to drive him to a bus terminal and buy him a ticket back to Michigan. His parents are ecstatic to see he's alright."

"And Jo?"

"She said she needed to hit the road." Once Jo signed her papers, she told Dean she had to return to work. Whatever that was.

"Alfie, do you remember anything?" Sam wondered if he remembered anything about his angelic possession and torture by Alistair.

"No. I was in a mental ward, maybe my amnesia did that? I don't remember anything." He was scratching his head.

"Trust me kid, that is not a bad thing. Here. I giving you some travel money for food and supplies for your trip. Oh by the way, say no. If you hear any voices, say no. Got it?" Dean told him.

"OK. Thanks for everything. I can't wait to see my parents sister."

"Sam you want to join us?"

"Not yet. I would like to take a nap if that is okay with everyone."

"You can sleep in Piper's room. I'm sure she won't mind." Prue told him. She knew Sam and Piper spent the night together.

Thanks. I'm going to tell Piper anyways. See you in a few Dean."

"Bye. C'mon kid."

"Thanks for everything. Breakfast was delicious."

Once they left, Piper decided to join Sam. They both told Prue and Paige they needed sleep. After they went upstairs, Paige sighed and sat down. She wondered why Sam and Dean's friend Jo wasn't with them. She is a hunter. She probably returned to work. She was about to check her socials till she got a text. It was from that woman, Jade.

'Greetings. I'm sure your two friends are taking your guests back home, yes? If they are tell them they owe me. I had to jump through lots of hoops to get them out. I also letting you know that Phoebe is being transferred later this afternoon. She is being taken to a secure safehouse for the time being. I promise you there will be no demons or monsters. These people that work for special guests like Miss Halliwell are used to seeing magic. I suspect there may be a whitelighter in charge. You can come in before four pm. As for my husband, he said he prefers to meet with just you two. Prue and Paige. He doesn't want to meet the Winchesters due them knowing the Archangels. He is still in hiding, and wants to be left alone.'

Paige looks at the text. She thought it would be wise she kept her friendship with Michael a secret. Metatron was too flighty, they needed the Tablets.

"Paige, any news?"

"Just got a text from Jade. She told us Phoebe is being transferred to a new location. Apparently the person in charge is a whitelighter."

"Really? I dunno. We better scout out the location beforehand just in case."

"How many hours do we have?"

"It's eleven now, so maybe around four hours. Or three depending on traffic."

"Can we just orb or teleport there instead? It would be a lot faster."

"True, but what if there is a magic barrier there, plus we may arouse suspicion." Prue wasn't about to take any chances just in case they were caught. Too many times they had to reset time or erase people's memories.

"Right. After what happened with Alistair, better not take any chances. Should we wait for Dean?"

"Yeah. The more the merrier. What about Piper and Sam?"

"Let them sleep. Poor things are exhausted. Especially about the stressful night they had."

They both agree. They left a note for them and once Dean came back they told him about their plans and hit the road.

"So this so called safehouse? That's where Phoebe is at?" Dean hoped it wasn't as dangerous as San Francisco Memorial was. He fought demons, but Alistair was one demon he never wanted to see again.

"Yep. Jade said a whitelighter will be meeting us there."

"Whitelighter huh." Dean never heard of one. He asked Castiel what one was. Castiel just said they are extraordinary souls that was meant for a higher purpose.

Traffic thankfully wasn't that bad, the place was only forty minutes away. It was beautiful. Well manicured, wasn't fenced, with the exception from the main gates, and from where they can see, it had horses. They saw people riding them with handlers, presumably patients and their escorts.

It had security on the grounds, and they needed to be buzzed in. Thankfully Dean used his fake FBI badge to gain access and informed him he was an escort for Prue and Paige.

"Can I help you?" The bored security guy asked.

"FBI. Agent Jagger. I'm a escort to these two women."

The security guy looks closely at Dean's badge.

"Go on through. Agent." He smirked.

When they pulled up to the main building, Paige and Prue could see that the place is warded against monsters and demons. The murals outside were pretty, but the designs contained symbols that were designed against demon possession.

"Now what, we are here. Do we wait or can we go inside." Dean saw the same symbols, he's been a hunter long enough to see it.

"Looks like we can go in. Let's go. Since Phoebe is getting checked in here I want to see if this place is safe. Plus see who is in charge." Prue wanted to be absolutely sure this was the right area for her younger sister.

They go inside and follow the arrows to reception. Dean didn't need to show off his fake badge, Prue and Paige told the receptionist that their sister Phoebe Halliwell was being checked in.

"May I help you?"

"Hi. Our sister. She's a new patient here. Phoebe Halliwell?"

"She getting checked in today." Paige added.

"You said Halliwell?" The receptionist typed.

"Mmm hmm." Prue was looking around. This place was really nice.

"Ah! Here she is. Please have a seat, and someone will be right with you."

"Thanks." All three sit down.

"This is a hospital?" Dean let out a silent whistle. "Country clubs aren't this nice." He wondered why the security guys were carrying guns.

"Plus the anti demon and monster sigils." Paige could sense the amount of magic here.

"You noticed that too?" Prue noticed a wiccan symbol of protection on the floor.

"This place is gorgeous." Paige stood up to look out the window. "Wow. I hope Phoebe is safe here. She needs to get better before the holidays. Christmas is going to here soon."

"Already? Shit. I need to get my place ready. Sam and I need to get ready to decorate. Since the world is ending, I want a proper Christmas holiday, along with New Years. I want Cas and his family to come too, including Jenna and Piper. Oh and you guys too."

"That sounds nice, but I wonder if Piper will want to come. She lives on the other side of the country." Prue was worried. She wasn't big on the holidays, not since their grandma died. But her sisters always insisted on celebrating. She hoped Sam and Dean came to San Francisco, their manor was big enough for everyone, including the Archangels. This would be a first for them. Celebrating with actual angels, not just one whitelighter. Her thoughts were interrupted when she saw a friendly looking woman coming towards them.

"Hello, I am, Natalie Wasil. I am in charge of Sacred Meadows. I am the owner and CEO here. Please come with me." She led them down the hall to a office and shut the door.

"I understand you are Phoebe Halliwell's relatives?"

"We are her sisters. I'm Prue, and this is my sister Paige Matthews."

"I see. And this is your brother?"

"Um, no he is a good friend of ours."

"Dean." He only gave his first name, he wasn't sure what to to tell her.

"Dean...sorry, what is your last name?"

"Winchester." Dean was going to lie, but he found that he couldn't. He sensed this woman was more than she seemed. Dean wondered if this was the whitelighter Paige mentioned on the drive here.

"Winchester. Hmm. Are you related to Henry Winchester by any chance?"

"He was my grandfather. He was killed in 1958 by a intruder."

"Abaddon. She was a demon that slaughtered the American Men of Letters. She's a Knight of Hell. Do not worry, I know about the supernatural. I'm a whitelighter. I used to work with Leo Wyatt. I was his superior before his promotion."

"Really. Well then, we have to assume you know what is going on?" Prue was relieved, she wasn't sure what to tell her.

"Yes. For once I am glad he and your sister Piper broke things off, we thought his relationship was a distraction. With our numbers low, we need all the help we can get. Not many souls become whitelighters. No offense." When Natalie noticed Prue and Paige giving her a dirty look. Piper and Leo really loved each other and it took Piper months to get over him.

"My apologies. My fellow whitelighters complain I can be too blunt. Now about your sister." Natalie opens Phoebe's folder that was faxed over. "I can confirm she would be safe here. We have hunters and a few whitelighters here to guard the patients. Most of our clients are witches, and we even a have a few humans that were possessed by demons. Poor things were traumatized by demons and couldn't recover as quickly as everyone else." Natalie was shaking her head. "Most were awake when they were forced to do bad things in their current bodies. Erasing their memories is not always an option, some memories are deeply rooted inside. It is our jobs to slowly introduce them back to society, since a few clients were possessed for many years."

"Who was the longest patient you had here?" Dean was curious.

"I cannot say, that is breaking patient confidentiality. But if too many years have passed, they stay here till they are ready to reenter society. Many have gone on to live new lives, with new identities with our help. They acknowledge that they cannot go home and start over, if too much time has passed. So we keep them here, with extensive counselling, and guidance. Once they are ready to leave, we first give them a option. Work for us as employees. Instead of throwing them out of the cold."

"Do they take it?" Paige heard of a few former vessels. Poor things were lost and alone once the demon was vanquished. It takes a lot of magic to give them amnesia from their demon possession. But even using good magic on a innocent was dangerous.

"Sometimes. Where would they go? This new world is scary and lonely. We try our best, but understand waking up to a new and unfamiliar world. Nothing is the same anymore, plus the loneliness. Poor things. At least here, they'll have a place to rest and work, at least for awhile."

"Does that work?" Prue was no psychologist, but she could herself being overwhelmed by the future.

"Mostly. It's not permanent, those that leave are given extensive counseling and have our social workers check up from time to time. Those that chose to stay become full time employees, or chose to become hunters."

Dean scoffed. He didn't chose this life.

"You said witches are the ones that arrive as patients."

"Most demons target witches. Not every witch have whitelighters, many are alone and vulnerable. Especially against warlocks."

Prue, thinking about Piper nodded. Jeremy was dangerous, but hardly the most powerful.

"The few that left this place have become hunters and some became whitelighters after they passed away when their time came. They felt the need to protect innocents. So far we think we are doing good. As for your sister, I can guarantee she will be safe here. No demons will dare to attack. We have security 24/7."

"Will Phoebe get better though? Especially here?" Paige needed to know. They knew she saw God. They needed vital information about Him. See if He was ready to attack. So far it's been a few years since any news, but no one was letting down their guard.

"We hope so. Jade Lee, your acquaintance, and my fellow colleague had informed me about the news. About God ending things. What a shame. I been whitelighter and lived for many years as a guardian. Funny thing is when I was alive during WW2, I was a atheist. When I became a whitelighter, I was surprised to see that there was a afterlife and was even more surprised there was actual angels. Though we never knew about their existence till a few years ago. I have no qualms about no longer existing, but there are many who want to live."

"No kidding. I am not ready to die or not exist. We have a lot to do. There are innocents. We took a oath. Not even the Lord Himself has a say in it." Prue said. Prue and Paige remember their vows as Charmed ones. Dean nodded in agreement.

"I hate to interrupt but I need to get going. I need to be somewhere soon. Is there anyway we can see the grounds before we leave? Sorry Prue and Paige." When Dean noticed them exchange looks.

"Of course. Shall we get going?"

"Wait. Just how much is this gonna cost." Dean asked. He knew it wasn't his business, but after his conversation with Jo, he didn't want the sisters bankrupted. This place was a private hospital.

"Dean!" Paige scolded.

"No, he's right." Natalie prints out a cost sheet. "Just to let you know, this is just a summary of a basic stay."

"Holy cr...ap." Prue, she was shaking her head.

"How are we going to afford this?!" San Francisco was expensive, but no way in hell will their insurances combined will cover this. "Your dad is gonna freak."

"I'll pick up more shifts. It's for Phoebe." Prue was lucky to get a raise. "You have a payment plan?"

After the sisters felt satisfied Phoebe would be safe Dean got a text. Sam was awake. He got a call from Gabriel. Gabriel had informed him that he had news. It was big. The sisters and Dean drove back to the city to see Phoebe off before she was transported. They wanted to drive behind the van before Phoebe was checked in, plus to pick up Victor, their father to provide Phoebe's medical info and insurance. Sacred Meadows was way more expensive than the hospital. The sisters were wondering how to pay for it when they were stopped by a black van. The driver they didn't recognize, but in the passenger seat was Jo, Sam and Dean's friend. They were wondering what was going on until another black van appeared behind them. Then the passenger of the van behind them got out and walked to the passenger side window. Her necklace, it had a pennant that suppressed magic.

"Greetings. I am Lady Antonia Bevell, British Men of Letters, London chapter. You must be Dean Winchester and your friends must be Prue Halliwell and Paige Matthews. We need to talk."
