Castiel and Hannah were exploring the factory. After watching the nightly news, they concluded Jack and maybe Claire was in this area. The murder of a homeless man was discovered in the factory with his heart missing. When Hannah went to identify the body pretending to be a social worker, she saw that this man was indeed a Grigori.
What Castiel and Hannah couldn't figure out is why Jack was taking out their hearts. Was it because he wanted a hunting trophy? Or was something more sinister? Hopefully, Jack was okay. Both were worried that Jack may be working for a demon.
"Castiel, what is going on around here?" Hannah asked him worried.
"I wish I knew. This isn't like Jack at all. If he is killing the Grigori, why is he going out of his way to take out their hearts? Even Michael didn't bother doing that." Castiel was looking around when he heard a noise. He gestured for Hannah to hide.
"I told you I saw something. I sense the Nephilm's grace."
Two men wearing business suits appeared out of thin air.
"How could you tell?"
"Because I was watching Jack while he was going to college, I registered the exact same classes he did."
"So?"
"He was here. I know it."
"Bartholomew, when we find Jack, then what."
"We kill Castiel and Hannah. Plus that human Claire."
"Why?"
"We are only as strong as our weakest players. With them gone, we can use Jack to fight God and the Archangels."
"You want the Archangels dead. Why?"
"It is their fault God is destroying Creation. They protected the Nephilim. With them gone, we can take over Heaven and use Jack's powers to fight God. When God is dead, we can remake Creation in our image."
"Saying the Lord's name in vain! That is blasphemy! God is Creation Itself! We'll disappear!"
"Not if we're smart. I heard rumors that one of the Tablets has a secret. A secret to defeating God."
"By locking Him away?"
"To kill Him. But if we do it right, Creation Itself can continue, with or without God."
"That is suicide. We know about the Tablets, but the so-called fourth Tablet is nothing but a rumor." All of Heaven heard of Tablets of God, the Secretary Metatron wrote them. But there were whispers there was one God wrote Himself, one of the angels that worked with Joshua overheard Joshua's prayers. That God said that His Secret must be kept hidden.
''If you don't want to come, fine. But I'll find the Nephilim and use him to defeat our Creator. The clues here led me to believe he is close. He is doing what Michael did all those centuries ago. Come on. Let's go forward." They disappear in a flutter of wings.
When Castiel and Hannah overheard the conversation between the two angels, they knew they didn't have much time. They knew Bartholomew was reckless and impulsive, but what he is planning was insane. They knew that they needed to find Jack ASAP.
"Castiel. We have to hurry. We have to get Jack before they do."
"I know. But it will be difficult. We no longer have our grace."
"Any ideas where he might have gone?"
"I'll check with the local law enforcement."
"Bartholomew mentioned he sensed Jack's grace. But Jack knows that is risky."
"I know. But Jack or Claire must have been injured. Jack probably used his grace to heal."
"Should we tell Michael about what Bartholomew is planning?"
"It's too dangerous. The Archangels will come down to Earth and kill any innocent people."
"Why would they do that?"
"Because Bartholomew will jump from vessel to vessel. Plus they suspect there are factions forming. There is some that will align with the Archangels and Heaven, some that will go along with God, and others that will go against God. The planet will be destroyed." It would be Toba all over again.
"Then after we get Jack, then what."
"We have to kill Bartholomew. We may have to return to Heaven and steal a weapon."
"What weapon?" Hannah asks worried.
"Gabriel's Horn."
Hannah was feeling sick a few days later, she was laying in bed with bad pains.
"Castiel." She moaned. "Help me." She seen human sickness before, but experiencing it herself, she wondered if she was dying.
"I'm here Hannah. I made you soup." Castiel didn't know how to cook Dean's stew, so he heated up a can of chicken noodle soup. "I hope this makes you feel better." When she groaned in pain, a concerned Castiel puts the soup down on the floor. "Hannah."
"Mmmmhhhhh." She groaned. Feeling something wet, she asks Castiel to help her to the bathroom. "I can't move very well."
"Sure." He helps her up and walks her slowly to the bathroom. "You need my help?" Being human, Castiel felt selfish that he hoped whatever Hannah had didn't make her sick.
"I'll be okay." She lumbers to the toilet holding her abdomen.
Castiel was sitting in a chair when he heard Hannah's screams. He immediately rushes inside the bathroom.
"Hannah!" He was horrified seeing the blood.
"I need a healer." Castiel manages to catch her before she fainted.
A few hours later, Castiel and Hannah were coming back from the pharmacy. Hannah needed supplies. Apparently, she started her period. When she first got it, she was terrified. So her and Castiel rushed to the Emergency room worried that she was bleeding to death. The nurses and doctors that examined her were professional and polite, but Castiel could overhear them laughing at her. He was understandably upset and told them she never had one before and was scared.
"You call yourself healers?" If only he was still an angel. "You laugh at a scared woman in pain? She didn't know what to do! This never happened to her before!"
They were in disbelief. They wondered how Hannah grew up without knowing what menstruation was. She simply told them she was human for only a very short time and hadn't had time to experience human biology. The medical professionals there thought she grew up in a strict Christian cult and gave her information about puberty and sex education. Both Castiel and Hannah were grateful. They were afraid they would be locked away for being crazy.
Hannah was wearing a thick pad, she was still unsure what to do. She heard of periods but didn't know what to expect.
"And this happens every month? For how long?" Hannah was holding a pamphlet, and the nurses there gave her some information about birth control.
"A few decades. But for some women, it will end sooner than others." The nurse was giving her some juice. "I suggest you go home and rest." She looks at Castiel. "Is she your wife?"
"Yes."
"Have you ever got intimate before?" She asked both.
"We exchanged grace once." Hannah was confused about what the pamphlet was saying. Pills? Condoms? What's a vasectomy?
"Well, if you plan to have a baby, or not." When both looked up. "I would start off with making an appointment with a gynecologist. So you can have options."
"Thank you." A baby? Neither have ever thought about it.
Once she left, Hannah and Castiel get ready to leave. Neither said a word about their visit, they were too shy to say anything.
A baby. Castiel couldn't help but wonder. But was it legal? Nephilms were forbidden.
Hannah thought about the nurse's words. A child of her own with Castiel. She imagined what it would be like. Her belly getting bigger, Castiel and her choosing names, holding a small bundle in her arms. Would it have wings? Or would it be fully human? But she was a virgin. Her and Castiel were married, but they never mated.
Castiel coughed.
"So, um. Are you okay?" His face was bright red.
"You say something?" She was looking out the window, she was watching a mother pushing a stroller. She couldn't help but fantasize about it being her someday.
"Nothing." Castiel was driving them to the nearest pharmacy, but he saw from the corner of his eye Hannah staring at the young mother. He saw her face.
They said nothing more on the way to the pharmacy.
"Is this what Anna envied about being human? Ugh. I can't wait to be a angel again. This is terrible." She groaned. She was waiting in line, she and Castiel didn't know what to do. They decided to ask what to get. Pads? Diapers? Tampons? Humans were so complicated. Holding her gut, she was suffering from period cramps. Castiel felt sorry for her and asked the pharmacist about what to do.
"We are a little overwhelmed." So many choices. "You have aspirin?" Claire used to use those for her headaches.
"First time?" The pharmacist heard of late bloomers, but this woman was an adult.
"Yes."
"My recommendation is to start off with those." He handed Castiel a box of sanitary pads. "It's a mix pack." He proceeded to explain flow levels. "And instead of aspirin, I would suggest Midol." He hands Hannah the bottle. "Laying down and relaxing would be the best thing for you right now."
"Thank you." Before the pharmacist walked away, a shy Hannah asked where the condoms were, pretending not to see Castiel's red face.
They returned to their room and Hannah immediately went and laid down. She was holding a hot water bottle on her abdomen and had a warm cloth on her head. A few minutes later she was asleep. Castiel didn't want to wake her and gave her a gentle kiss on her head before he left to find more info about Jack.
He blushed when he saw the box. Sex. Both knew what it was, but never did it before. They needed to talk, but not now.
After writing her a note, Castiel left the motel and then went inside his truck to go back to the scene where the last murder took place. To his dismay, there was a police officer there. Taking out his badge, he approached the officer.
"FBI. I am Agent Rihanna. I am here investigating a murder."
The cop stares at his badge.
"About time they sent the Feds. Are you here about the serial killer?"
"Ah, yes. Do you know what happened here?" He saw the burnt wings, it was faint, the Grigori didn't use them much.
"This man here was homeless. Whoever did this is a sick bastard. This man here, despite having nothing, went out of his way to help others. He had a knack for healing. He had a gift. Like that faith healer Sister Jo out west."
Castiel knew that this Grigori wasn't a healer. He picked and chose society's most vulnerable, the homeless. He pretended to heal, then he ate their souls after they have fallen asleep. Monstrous creatures, these Grigori. Even without his grace, he can tell they were almost all dead. There was at least one more alive. He knew Bartholomew was watching him. Waiting for Jack to kill him so he can pounce. Excusing himself he left the factory and was immediately captured by another angel, Malachi.
"Where are you going, brother?"
Hannah woke up when she got a phone call. Groaning, she sleepily answered it.
"Hello?"
"Hannah? It's Anael. Where are you?"
"Anael? How did you get this number?" She saw the condoms and immediately went red. She looked around, Castiel was gone.
"Castiel is in trouble. I don't know what is going on, but you two are being followed." Hearing that, Hannah was instantly awake. Forgetting the condoms, she demanded answers.
"That is impossible. We had Balthazar carve sigils on our ribs." Her cramps were gone at least.
"Surely you heard about the rebellion."
"What rebellion?"
"The angels are scared. There are some going behind Michael's back to form factions. There are some plotting to kill the Archangels."
Hannah immediately sat up.
"What?! Why?"
"There are rumors that God is almost done destroying other worlds. They are afraid our turn is coming up next. If they kill the Archangels, they believe they can raid Heaven's weapon supplies and go after God when He comes."
"We have to tell Michael."
"No! If we tell him, a civil war will start. It will be a bloodbath for humanity. We need you to stop Bartholomew. Not just him, but the others that are following him. Plus you need to track down Jack. He needs to hide."
"Why are you telling me this?"
"I don't want to die. Please, Hannah, tell me where you are."
Hannah was suspicious. She didn't know Anael well, she was much lower rank than her.
"Why are you telling me this? How do you know you are not rebelling as well?"
"Because I like living on Earth. I want what you have."
"What's that."
"Love."
Five minutes later both Anael and Hannah were in her motel room discussing what to do. Anael had kindly healed Hannah's cramps and was talking.
"Becoming human. Why? They are such flawed creatures."
"I have my children to protect. Plus I have Castiel. I only lived on Earth for a short time, but I only began to understand the grasp of humanity. These human emotions are new to me, but I feel so protective of Jack and Claire."
"Like how?"
"Call it motherly instincts. Whenever I think of them being hurt or dead, I feel like my heart is getting ripped out. Plus my feelings for Castiel is nothing like I felt being an angel. I feel...passionate." She blushed.
Anael just looked at her. Hannah's face was pink but felt a tinge of jealousy seeing the emotions on her face when she talked about her family. She wasn't exactly the most model angel. Before the news about Creation ending, all she cared about was her own well-being and selfishness.
For centuries she worked with Joshua until her demotion. She went to Earth looking for a rare treasure and was caught. Luckily she hid it, but it cost her her position.
She always wondered if it was worth it, there were better prizes out there. But with the news going on, she was glad to give in to that risk. But it came with a price. She went from being Joshua's understudy to a mere button pusher. Ugh.
She was bored stiff. Day after day, night after night, she opened the Gates of Heaven. It was different in Hell, doors were left wide open. But up here, to keep unworthy from coming in, she had to let in souls manually.
She couldn't complain though, it was an easy job, although one of the most boring jobs in Heaven. There were worse jobs, like being a record keeper. The hand cramps alone, it wasn't limited to humans.
She got her break after a few centuries, there was a shift change, and Anael was finally freed. When she saw Anna coming in with chains, she was surprised to see she was human.
"Anna?!" How? The last time she saw Anna was a few decades ago. "Where's your wings?" Anael never thought she would throw everything away for being a mere human on Earth.
"Long story." She grunted when Uriel shoved her.
"Hey! Take it easy!" She was surprised when she didn't flinch at Uriel's glare.
"Watch your mouth." He warned. "Or you can join her in her cell."
"Sorry sir." She gave Anna a sympathetic smile. "Good luck."
Anna didn't say anything but smiled back.
It was a while later that she saw Anna being ordered to take over Anael's job.
"I thought you were in jail?"
"I was. But Uriel thought this would be a better punishment." She sat down.
"I'm sorry." While she watched Anna pushing the button, she had to ask. "What's it like? Being human." Anael had a vessel a few times, but Anna went way beyond that. "And you have a soul." Anael was very curious. Not just her, many angels were surprised to see her with one.
"Long story. But I regret nothing." Anna saw the curious stares. "Go on. Take a vacation. You deserve it." Anna smiled at the younger angel.
"Take care Anna."
She came to Earth after Anna took her position. Before she left, she asked Joshua why Anna was being punished.
"I don't agree with Heaven's Laws, but she is getting punished for falling." Joshua knew God wouldn't care that Anna cut off her wings. "Is it a crime to think for yourself?"
"It was for me. I was demoted." Anael was still resentful about that.
"But, did you ever regret it?" Joshua knew a few angels that left voluntarily, Gabriel was the first to go.
Anael had to think about it. But remembering how fun it was to not have responsibilities, didn't regret anything.
"No. No, I didn't." Before she left, she asked Joshua one last question. "Anna's soul. If we fell like she did, was she really punished? Or rewarded?" Anna had something not even the archangels had.
Joshua just smiles.
"I have to start the planting, mind passing me that watering can?"
Before Anael left Heaven, she asked Anna, what living on Earth was like. Plus having a soul.
"Harder than it looks." Anna said honestly. "But being down there, every day was a treat. Even the bad ones." She smiled at Anael. "Love. Even without a soul, you can experience the greatest joy that ever exists. Take care Anael." She went back to her job, ignoring Uriel who came to mock her.
Aneal waved goodbye. It was her vacation, even Uriel couldn't stop her from going to Earth. She had to admire Anna, she ignored Uriel's taunts and maintained a neutral expression to Uriel's irritation. Shame she had no grace. Anael had to wonder if she got her wings back, will she have to trade for her soul?
An invisible Anael came to Earth, seeing what changed since the last time she's been here. So many cars, plus the pollution. These silly humans, God gave them a gift, and that's how they treat her. Poor Nature. She needed a vessel, she was curious what this "love" was that Anna kept talking about.
'Dear Father. My husband. Help him.'
She heard the prayers of a devoted woman named Joanna. Her husband was very ill and was looking for a miracle. God wasn't listening, but since Anael was in the area, she answered her prayers.
Her husband was sick, and Joanna was praying by his bedside. She was pretty, her long red hair tied in a modest bun, she clearly didn't care about her looks at the moment.
At first, Joanna scoffed at Anael's attempt at communication, she was religious, but also was a realist. But when she saw a heavenly glow in the room, she went on her knees and prayed.
"My answer is yes. But only if you heal my husband."
After her husband was healed, the woman was grateful. She agreed to be Anael's human host.
Anael had temporary vessels before, but she liked this one the best. Before she left, she looked at Joanna's husband who was still asleep.
'You can see your husband anytime you want.'
She put Joanna in a deep sleep inside her heart, that way her and her husband can see each other anytime they wanted in their dreams. After that, she went and explored the city.
The first thing she did was get a makeover. She wanted to use her mojo to get things for free, but she felt Joanna's thoughts.
"Fine. I'll pay." She was sleeping, but her subconscious was alive and well. Good thing her husband had money.
She liked her new look. Gone was her mousy shy look, her new look was stylish and alluring. She tipped her stylist and purchased the lipstick she used on her.
"Where can I buy clothes?"
Unfortunately, she didn't have much cash on her, and she also didn't want to put Joanna's husband in debt. So she went to Joanna's house and picked out a suitable outfit.
She was staying in their home when read a newsletter from the local church.
THE CHURCH OF HEALING BY ROY LE GRANGE
'A miracle healer? Please.' Anael knew a lot of fakes, the bible warned against those false prophets. But she did know a few, maybe he was a whitelighter. Curious, she flew to Nebraska to see this Pastor for herself.
She was amused by the crowd. Many praying for a miracle. An actual angel was among them, and none of them knew. She wanted to see how the miracle worked, if this man was legit, she wondered if he would partner with her. She prayed with the others, she always prayed for her lost friends from the War. It didn't take long to see how Roy's "miracles" worked.
She quickly left when she saw the reaper. Luckily no one saw her fly away, she didn't want to explain to Death why she was on Earth, Death didn't like it when His Lists were changed.
The human thought he was born with healing powers, but it was only because there was a tethered reaper tied to him. Poor bastard. Sue-Ann Grange, if she only knew the heavy price she paid to "help" her husband. She left knowing her time was up as soon as those hunters freed that reaper.
But seeing Roy gave her an idea. She can heal others. But for money. She's been on Earth a few times but knew money was something that humans desired. Especially since they can buy beautiful things with it. So she started a church. She couldn't figure out a suitable name, but called it "Jo's Church." Or "Praying With Sister Jo."
Since then she was able to buy those beautiful things. Jewelry, designer purses, clothing, and even a house. But even with many clients willing to throw money at her to heal them, she felt empty. She wanted more. She wanted what humans have. Love and a family. She now understood why Anna fell to Earth.
Love. Even without a soul, you can experience the greatest joy that ever exists.
She felt Joanna's love for her husband. Plus the humans around her. She loved Ezekiel, and always will, but down here, the love was more intense, more personal. God, He truly spoiled His children. She felt envy, which she knew was a sin, but she couldn't help herself.
She was even jealous of Hannah and Castiel. They had love. They even adopted children. But Anael wondered what it would feel like to have a life grow inside of her and holding a small baby. If Ezekiel was still alive, she wondered if he would have been willing to fall with her, become human, and have a family of their own.
"Hannah." She asked. "Are you truly happy?"
"I would, if I knew Creation wasn't being destroyed. Why?"
"Would you stay human for your family? Have any biological children of your own?"
"I don't know. I love the ones I currently have. A baby of my own with Castiel. We took an oath to Heaven. No children shall ever be born from two angels."
"But Creation is being destroyed. God obviously doesn't care about the rules. Would you willingly have a baby?"
Hannah was quiet. She and Castiel never took that step yet, even though she felt like she was ready. She even looked online for a nightgown. Caroline wasn't a virgin, but she was. As for Castiel, she doubted he ever had sex. She knew she had to use protection, although Caroline couldn't conceive, didn't mean Hannah would. She shook her head.
"No. I thought about it, but my vessel Caroline couldn't have children. Her and her husband were devastated. Sure they had problems, but they were in the process of adopting an infant before she was killed. Joe spent months looking for Caroline. I had no choice but to tell him in a dream that she was dead. I feel like it would be selfish to have a baby when Caroline could not."
"That's too bad. You and Castiel would be great parents."
"We have Jack and Claire. They are our family."
Anael dropped the subject. She knew Hannah didn't want to discuss it. Caroline's death was an accident, but Hannah always felt guilty. She even had to tell Caroline's husband that she was dead. He didn't believe her till she put him to sleep. Caroline came to him in a dream and told him she was in Heaven and told him to move on. After that, he fully accepted she was dead and left Hannah alone. She always felt guilt about him, but was pleased when he started a new job working with underprivileged kids. Joe was a good man. Hannah had no doubt he will remarry in the future.
"Anael, you said there are factions. Plus Castiel being in trouble. Tell me about them."
Castiel woke up in a dark room. His hands were tightly bounded above his head and he was bleeding. Plus he really needed to urinate. He was debating on just urinating on his clothes when he heard footsteps. When the clothes were ripped off his head he saw his kidnapper, Malachi.
"Well look who's awake. Castiel. A human now. What irony."
"What do you want Malachi?"
"The Nephilim. Jack."
"NO." Castiel will die before anyone got their hands on Jack.
"You know Creation is getting destroyed right? Jack is the key to stopping God."
"Go to hell."
"Funny. But since you are human now, you bleed." He takes out a knife.
The sounds of screams can be heard when Claire was sitting in her prison. Those were the sounds of Castiel. But the voice belonged to her father, Jimmy. She teared up. She was captured by angels after her and Jack finished killing a Grigori. The sounds of wings startled her and she told Jack to run. Jack had protested, but she reminded him that he needed to stay in hiding. She promised him she'll catch up to him when the time came, so Jack had no choice but to fly away.
When the angels came up to her, they demanded to know where Jack went. She foolishly told them to fuck off.
"Funny. Are you humans always this crazy?" She and her partner take Claire away.
It was agony what they were doing to her. Even the demons of Hell couldn't do what they were doing to her. But even with Claire screaming, she never lost her bravado. She laughed when they healed her.
"God. You suck." She didn't even flinch when they slapped her.
"It is a sin to sully God's Name."
"If He cared, why are so many of us still alive?" She taunts.
It was only a few days, but it felt like months. She couldn't help but resent Jack for putting her in this position.
'You owe me Kline.'
She was blind when she heard an angel walking in the room.
"Maybe seeing this will loosen your lips." He takes the chains off Claire and drags her to Castiel's room.
Castiel was sore and bleeding when he heard his cell opening. When he saw who Theo brought in, he immediately got angry.
"One of you has to talk." He healed Claire first, her eyes anyways, to see what happened to her adoptive father.
"Castiel."
Seeing Castiel made her sick. He was beaten, stabbed, thankfully not fatal, and had cuts all over his body. She didn't love Castiel, but she couldn't help but want to run up to him and give him a huge hug.
"And you call each other siblings. Asshole." She grunted when the angel punched her in the abdomen.
"STOP!" He heard screams but had no idea it was Claire's. She didn't deserve this. "You already have me. Leave her alone."
"We have been watching you. You love her like a daughter. Maybe you don't care what happens to you, but what would happen if we hurt her." He brushes her hair. "Maybe not physically, but emotionally, we can easily break her."
"I mean it. Don't lay a hand on her Theo. You are better than this. You don't want to disobey Heaven." Angels were sworn to protect humanity.
Malachi walked into the room.
"Your joking, right? It was those stupid Archangels that caused all this. If Lucifer didn't get that idiotic human pregnant, and Michael didn't keep that bastard alive, we wouldn't be in this mess! You are no better, Castiel. You kept that Nephilim alive. You could have destroyed him as a child. But you didn't. Now God found out about him and is destroying Creation. It's all your fault. Now I am going to take away the ones that you love. Starting with your human daughter, then I'm going to kill Hannah. And then I'm going to use Jack to find God and use his power to destroy Him."
"You'll die. We will all die. Creation Itself will cease to exist." Castiel always wondered what God's Grand Plan Was. Would He Start Over?
"But at least there would be peace. Theo, start with the girl, then kill Castiel. I'm going to go after Hannah."
After he left, Castiel tried to reason with Theo.
"Theo. Malachi is insane. Jack is just a child. Claire is innocent. Neither of them is responsible for what God is doing."
"I know. I am on Heaven's side. I follow Michael's orders. I already know that they are trying to find a way to stop God. That is why I pretended to follow Malachi. Hold still I'm going to let you go." He didn't mean to hurt Claire, but he heard Malachi's wings.
After Theo loosened his ropes, Castiel asked him to heal him, and after he did, Castiel stabbed him with an angel blade. Claire seeing that, asked why Castiel murdered Theo.
"Was that really necessary?" She was sore from Theo's punch, thankfully he didn't hit her that hard.
"He knows about Jack. I have to protect him. Claire, where did Jack go?"
"He said he was looking for a spell to open a rift. He said found a place where a Tablet was hidden. We were planning to go get it when we were jumped. I told Jack to run. That way he could stay safe." Claire was about to ask Jack where when she heard wings.
"Claire, you should have called Sam or Dean. Or Jody. They could have told me and Hannah and I would have gone after it."
"We know, but we figured we can do the job ourselves." Claire hated asking for help. She was fiercely independent.
"Without a prophet, the Tablets are useless." Heaven spent centuries looking for them, but even so, none of them can translate the language. Metatron, he and God, they must have created a secret language only they knew.
"How do you become one?"
"Prophets are chosen by destiny. You cannot become a prophet by chance. When one dies, another is born. You should have seen Luke." Poor Luke. If he was born in this century, he would have been locked up for being crazy.
"What are you going to do about Jack? Castiel, he doesn't want to be found." Claire was physically okay, other than a few cuts and bruises, she felt fine.
"Don't worry Claire, I am on your side. You do realize Hannah and myself are human now."
"Why?" She wondered why Castiel seemed different. His screams didn't sound angelic at all. She sniffed the air. "God. You stink."
"To protect you both. Come on. You need to eat and rest. If you pray to Jack, tell him not to use his grace. It is way too dangerous. We can drive you, or give you bus fare to meet up with him. I can ask Balthazar to carve sigils on your ribs."
"EWW! NO! I'll just keep using my charm. The witch said it was good enough to hide from angels." No way were they touching her again.
"Well then, don't lose it. Remember to learn how to recreate it just in case."
"Yes, Castiel."
Hannah was pacing in her room when she heard the door click. Seeing Castiel and Claire she ran up and hugged both.
"Thank Father." She hugged Castiel first but held Claire for a long time. "I'm so glad your safe." She wanted to cry, Claire didn't deserve any of this.
For a second, Claire felt annoyed. But couldn't help but give her a hug back. She felt like her mom and dad were hugging her, almost, especially when Castiel took them both in her arms.
'Claire. Cas. I'll be okay. I'll see you soon.'
"I know." She knew Castiel heard his prayers.
Anael was sitting on the chair in Hannah's room watching the family holding one another. She couldn't help but tear up.
Anna. Hannah. Castiel. They had everything they ever needed. Not even Heaven's Treasures could match it. She wiped her tears away. Anna didn't have her own family, but she had her parents, her friends. Castiel, Hannah, they had more.
She would trade it all for what they had.
