"Hello?"

"Hey Brother. I messed up. Messed up bad." Benny was lying in a pool of blood, his legs broken from the fight he just finished.

"Benny, what did you do."

"Washington State. I, I need help." He paused hearing Chris' sigh. "Who? She's not dangerous is she?" He swallowed, he knew he had to leave. He was surrounded by the dead bodies of his headless ex-crewmates. "I'll live." He groaned. "There's a fuel barge not that far from here if I slow crawl." God, he was so thirsty. He chuckles. "Can't wait to eat some ole style Cajun cookin." His quest to become human was so close. "Exactly what is this secret? Uh-huh. I'll know when I see it? Okay. I don't know what you've been hiding from me, but you always been trustworthy." Spying a rat, he hangs up. He detested rats, but he needed to keep up his strength.

Benny sighs in contentment when he drinks the last bag of blood. Wasn't easy to obtain, but the nurse he met was more than happy to give him the blood bags from the clinic. Wasn't cheap, but Quentin and his friends had deep pockets. He cleaned up as best he could, but he wondered how his health would be when he becomes human. Staring at the mirror, he wondered. What would he look like? Would he be strong? Age? He wished he asked Chris more questions. But thinking of Elizabeth, he pushed his worries aside. Seeing the sunshine, he quickly closes the curtains. He had a few hours to kill, might as well take a nap.

Benny took no time killing the demon.

"Traitor." He hated backstabbers more than murderers. He was so glad his training was strict. Hearing a noise behind him, he quickly disarms the weapon the soldier was holding.

"The hell?" He gave Benny a dirty look. "I wasn't going to shoot you!"

"I promised your father to keep you safe." He had to keep his expression blank as the hothead rolled his eyes.

"Whatever." The young man gestures towards the door he just came in from. "Him, he's over there. The main room."

"Stay." Benny takes his weapon and hands him an athame instead. "This is blessed with holy water and mythril. It will ward off even the strongest of evil." Although he doubted it would work on The Beast.

"Thanks." He shakes Benny's hand. "Stay safe. I promised Dad and Elizabeth you'll come home."

"Take care buddy." Benny made sure to shut the door behind him. He went down the hall and immediately runs into Dean.

"Benny. Is..."

"I don't know." Sam was missing. "But I have bad news. Everyone is dead." He saw Dean's face. "But the boy is safe."

Dean sighed in relief.

"Thank god." He couldn't let Sam down. "You need a bandage?" Benny was covered in blood.

"Just a scratch." Benny lied. He was hurt, badly.

"Bullshit." Dean hands him a portable first aid kit. "Here. Patch yourself up. I'm going ahead. You'll be fine."

"Thanks Brother. I'll keep an eye out." Benny watches with dull eyes as Dean walks away. If only Dean would accept Sam was gone. The Beast, Its Hold was too strong. That was his last thought before he died of his injuries.

It was dark when Benny woke up. That dream, it always ended the same. He was fighting with Dean Winchester and his soldiers to stop Sam and his demonic army. But no matter what they all tried, they lost every time.

He always wondered what that all meant. The Beast? What the hell was That? The Old Man? He doubted it. The Old Man wouldn't stand a chance. Seeing the time, Benny knew it would be a matter of time before they track him down. He had to get ready. But remembering his dream, no nightmare, he had to patch himself up first. Luckily he knew where the nearest pharmacy was.

It took Benny a week to heal. He was glad he was a vampire, his immortality kept him alive. But he'll gladly trade it all to be normal again.

FLASHBACK

Benny was in awe. He was looking at the world with new eyes.

"It's so...magical." His vision was skewed, but also stronger. He saw things in a new light. He heard a fireplace crackling five miles away. Smelled a pie baking a few blocks away. Saw the Birth of Vampires. "Father. What does it all mean?'' He kneels down and kisses his hand.

"In due time my son. Come. Your brothers and sisters are waiting for you." The Old Man brushes Benny's cheek. "Soon you'll be sailing the seas with us, forever."

"Yes Father." Benny knew he'll love him forever. He was reborn.

Benny couldn't believe what a fool he was. Loving a false god. The Old Man was vain and jealous. He was resentful of everyone, especially those he considered traitors.

Benny rubbed his neck. The pain of being beheaded didn't hurt, it was waking up in that strange world.

FLASHBACK

Benny ran as fast as he could. Where was he?

The hungry growls were getting closer.

Benny was strong on Earth, but here, he was the hunted, not the huntee. Seeing a cliff, he had no choice but to jump.

Two decades later Benny rests up in his cave, surrounded by the dead bodies of the rugurus he just killed. One good thing about being here, is you're never hungry. But only because he wasn't picky about his food source. He needed rest. It only be a matter of time before the rugarus wake up, hopefully not for the next few decades.

"You'll pay Old Man." This place, the Old Man wouldn't stand a chance in here. The beasts known as the Leviathans will be hungry. Especially for old souls.

PRESENT DAY

Benny writes a text to Chris, letting him know where he was heading next. He almost missed Purgatory, unlike Earth, it was raw and honest. He puts down his phone. After he becomes human, then what? Benny didn't know. For the first time, he had no idea what his next endgame was. Kyra provided him with a new identity, plus he had more than enough money in his personal bank account to live; but what else was there? There was Elizabeth, who was the most important person in his life, his good friend Kyra, who never judged him, Chris, his comrade. But thinking of his dream, he wondered.

The Beast. Benny shuddered. He saw things in Purgatory that would give vampires nightmares. But whatever he was fighting, that guy Sam was making a huge mistake aligning himself with that Thing.

Hearing his phone ring, he jumped.

'Benny? Where can I find you?'

Benny just stared at the text. He didn't want to answer it, besides he didn't recognize the number. To be safe, he blocked it.

After he hung up, he went to find a sloop. Nothing too fancy, he didn't want to draw attention to himself. Good thing it came with rows, a engine would draw the Old Man to him like a beacon.

PRENTISS ISLAND, WASHINGTON STATE

Benny quietly steps out of the boat. He had his gear ready to go, including his machete. He wished Chris was here, he could use his advice. Like what this "cure" looked like. He looked around, using his vampire senses to see danger. He smelled the rot of dried blood, a vampire passed here recently. He knew he couldn't be foolish, he may be old, but he was away for a long time.

PURGATORY, A FEW YEARS AGO

"Stop!" A young woman had her hands up. "I'm not here to hurt you!"

Benny stares distrustfully at her.

"Demon." Demons in Purgatory were incredibly rare, the only ones Benny seen were led by Reapers. "Where's your escort?" He tried to leave when he saw one, but the passing reaper said it was impossible.

"I don't have a escort. I'm alone." The demon was looking around. "I don't see him."

"Who?" He had his weapon out but didn't know how to kill a demon. Especially when they weren't on Earth. Both jumped when they heard a noise.

"What was that?" She was looking around in fear.

"Trouble." Benny had to run, the leviathans were ruthless. "Your presence must have attracted them." He turned to run, till the woman stopped him.

"Wait! Take me with you." She was about to grab him till Benny held his weapon to her throat.

"I don't deal with demons." He met a few, all were bastards.

"I'm not like other demons. Your future, your destiny. It's about to change."

"Liar." All demons were alike.

The woman shook her head.

"Believe me or not, but from what I seen, you are needed on Earth." She held up her hand. "I don't have any power on me, but I remember my visions." She held out her hand. "Purgatory, Hell. Neither will exist."

Benny just stares at her. Huh? Seeing a black glob, he grabs the demon.

"Explain later." They both run off.

Benny saw the mansion in the distance. Old Bastard was still pretending to fit in. Always saying he came from old money and was looking for a place to live. Well, it ends tonight. Benny will close this chapter for good, the old geezer can rot in Purgatory with everyone else.

Before he went on, he stops and has a thought. Was this real? Or a dream? He thought about the last time he saw Purgatory.

"Whenever you are, it doesn't matter. It's all the same anyways." Kyra and Benny were holding hands, not in a romantic way, but only because it was the only way both can escape. "You're here now."

"You're right sister." Kyra was a wise woman. He wondered what to do next. After he gets his revenge and becomes human, then what? Elizabeth wouldn't want him around all the time. Kyra would welcome him back, but Benny wanted something different. He thought about his dream. He shook his head. Later. Sunrise will be here soon, and he wanted to get this over with.

Benny wasn't surprised to find the door unlocked. Clearly, no one here wasn't worried about break-ins, why wouldn't they? A robber would make a fine meal. He had to take this slowly, god knows how many vamps were inside.

Benny quietly moves through the house, his eyes drawn to a piano-like instrument.

"Hadn't seen this in years." The Old Man didn't play but liked collecting old instruments. He quickly leaves the room when he saw the door opening upstairs, he didn't want to be caught.

Andrea was puzzled looking in the living room. She swore she heard something.

Benny and Kyra were looking around the dark forest.

"Where are we?" The last thing they saw was a portal opening.

"Home. But I warn you, things changed a lot since you two been gone."

Both were startled seeing a car driving by in the distance.

"Welcome to the future."

Benny hides the headless body, same place where he hid the other one. Both were easy kills, they were very young. Maybe forty. He saw three more coming. Benny picks up his weapon. Wasn't Sorento, but these three were his bastards. He charges forward, not caring who heard him.

"Curing a demon. How?" Benny was looking at Kyra who was meditating.

"Not easy, but she won't be the first demon cured." Benny watches as Chris gets the ingredients ready.

"Why are you helping us?" This, hunter, was helping them, no questions asked.

"I'm not a racist." He picks up his needle. "Kyra, this will hurt."

"I don't care. I been in The Pit and Purgatory, this will be nothing." She moves her head to expose her neck.

"Benny, you should go. I have a few blood bags upstairs."

"Sure brother." Benny wondered who Chris was working for, he was already waiting when they went through. Whoever that person who freed them was gone when he and Kyra climbed into that van.

"Benny. How?" Andrea was staring at him in shock.

Benny stares sadly at her.

"So the Old Man got to you." He didn't have time to mourn her when he was hit over the head by Sorento.

"Take him downstairs." She ordered. 'Benny.' How?

Benny woke up in a dark room. Ugh. His head. He slowly got up and was surprised to see a little boy with his head down.

"Kid. Are you alright?"

Ryan, seeing the vampire awake, quickly moves across the room.

"Stay away from me." That man upstairs was creepy, he kept rubbing his hand, calling him 'Son.'

Benny immediately saw his fangs in the moonlight.

"You're a vampire?" God, the old man was more evil than he thought.

"I'm a freak. Daddy." He sobbed.

Benny was about to say something more when the door opened, Andrea and Sorento standing on the other side.

"Father will see you now." Andrea said coldly.

Benny's face was blank when he saw who walked in.

''Hello Father." The Old Man was in a visage of a teenage boy, but Benny knew he was way older than any of his nest combined. They were in a library, the Old Vampire liked to read. He had to keep his face neutral when the Old Man was staring at him with a curious expression.

"How? How are you alive?" His handsome face was contorted in a confused expression.

"I have friends." No way was Benny mentioning Kyra or Chris.

"You made a Deal? In Hell? What's so funny?" When Benny chuckled.

"Close. But where I went, is where I truly lived."

"The hell are you talking about?"

"Quiet Sorento."

"Yes Father."

"I always regretted killing you. My wails were loud. I cried every day for you. Didn't I Sorento?"

"Yes we all mourned you, especially Father."

"Your cow. She's all that was left to you. Then she brought me my first grandchild."

"A pureblood." Sorento brags.

"It was a gift, I can raise him, that way I won't fail him as I failed you."

"Uh huh."

"I hadn't been in Scotland for years." It was dark out to Benny's relief.

"I still don't understand why he sent us here." Kyra heard her stomach growl. "God. I forgot what hunger felt like." Starvation existed in Hell, but it felt worse on Earth.

"He said a taxi will pick us up." He looked at his phone. "Humans communicate with these things?" He still couldn't figure out how the technology worked. He did bookmark a website with naughty content. He always has a thing for redheads. "Once we settle in, you should try the local cuisine. Haggis is a delicacy."

"We'll see." Kyra was wearing baggy clothes, Chris said he didn't have time to shop. But he swore there'll be someone there to take her shopping. "Forrest Hills? What the hell is that?" Kyra was reading her smartphone.

"Wherever that is, I could use some rest." He needed fresh blood, hopefully, there were deer around. "I see lights. That must be our ride." They were standing at the train station, their flight took hours. Benny was sleepy from the light. "You told me yourself, wherever we are, we're here now."

Benny and Sorento were fighting, and when Benny spat in the Old Man's face, is when Sorento attacked.

Sorento was good, but Benny was better. While Sorento attempted to stab Benny, Benny instantly counteracted his attack and twisted his arm around before tossing him against a pile of books. He saw Sorento's surprised expression.

"Where did you learn how to fight like that?" He was three centuries older than Benny, not including his time as a human when a witch gave him immortality.

"I had practice. We'll see each other again." He cuts off his head. He then looked at his Maker. "You are nothing to me. I saw Divinity, and you are nothing like it." He walks towards him. He wondered where Andrea was, she was here a few minutes ago.

"Divinity?"

"Good. Evil. Does it matter? You always kept us around to make yourself big and important, knowing you are nothing in the grand scheme of things." He saw the Old Man's furious expression. "Say hello to The Beast." He takes out Andrea's knife.

Andrea was pacing back and forth. When she saw Benny, she immediately runs up to him.

"Benny! Is everything alright?" Benny was covered in blood.

"It's over." He thought he'll be happy. He dreamed for years of revenge. But even with the Old Man's death, Benny knew he won't find peace. "Andrea."

"Take the boy. He needs his father." Andrea tried her best to keep him away from that bastard, Ryan was innocent.

"What about you?" He loved Andrea, but she wasn't the woman Benny fell in love with.

"I don't know." She hated the Old Man for ruining her life. She had plans, lots of them. Getting her inheritance, getting married, and having children. But now it was all gone. "Go."

"You don't have to stay. I was planning on destroying this place." He saw a generator and gasoline downstairs.

"I saw it." Andrea pulled out a round marbled rock. "The future." Her visions, the Old Man didn't choose her to be his right-hand woman for a reason. "It's dark, isn't it."

"You saw it too huh." Benny wanted to hide that from her.

Andrea, everything she had, and wanted, she was so glad she never had children. She handed the ball to Benny. Seeing his expression, she smiled sadly.

"Fight hard for me." She picked up Benny's bloody knife. "Free me." She put her head on the harpsichord. "Goodbye my love."

Ryan was watching the flames from the boat. He was saddened that Andrea was gone, but Benny said she made her peace.

"Is Dad mad?" Gayle was strict.

"I'm more worried about making it across."

Benny and Chris were looking around the ancient archives.

"Kyra said there was nothing here." They were in an old bunker somewhere, Chris was clearly looking for something. "Brother, whatever you're looking for, I'm sure there are other things to worry about." He wasn't sure what Chris was looking for, but he gladly came along to keep him company. Plus keep him safe.

"It's here. Just have to find it." Chris mumbled. When he opened a drawer, he eagerly opened an envelope. "Eureka!" Benny wondered what Chris was reading, but it wasn't in his place to ask. "Benny, you ever wonder about your old life?''

"Sailing the high seas? I miss it, but that was long ago."

"No. Before that. Before that old geezer got to you." Benny opened up to Chris about his 'rebirth.'

"I was just a man. Nothing extraordinary." Benny almost forgot what it was like to be human, if he wasn't working the railroads, he was spending his time drinking at the saloon.

Chris was using his flashlight to read over the paper.

"So that's where it is." He folds the paper. "Benny. If I told you it was possible to start over, would you take it?"

"What do you mean? I'm here aren't I?" Benny was still pinching himself he was alive.

"No. Becoming human. For good."

Benny rowed himself and the boy to shore.

"What are you going to do with me?" Ryan was tired, but also thirsty. Benny knew he needed fresh blood soon.

"First we get some rest, then call your dad." Benny was going to call Kyra, and let her know he had a possible new student to enroll. He helped Ryan off the boat. "I have some blood, I'll stay with you till your dad comes."

Benny was staring at the marble. What was so important about this marble? It was pretty he guessed, maybe Ryan could play with it. Benny was watching the door, he needed to make sure Ryan was kept safe. He needed a drink, luckily Ryan didn't drink all the bags. He absently was drinking from one bag when he saw the rock starting to glow.

"What the..." Instantly Benny's vision went black.

Jenna pulled up to the dock and saw police and fire trucks surrounding the area. Luckily she came prepared.

"FBI, Agent Wilson."

Benny couldn't believe his eyes. Where was he?

Benny saw the Beginning.

Nothing, then a big flash. Benny had to close his eyes, it was very bright. Then he saw life. What kind of creatures were those? Benny been to Purgatory, and what he saw, these creatures were probably as old as the leviathans. Then he saw Earth. Then another Earth. Man was walking out of the caves, they were wearing heavy furs. Then he saw the first Vampire. He was kissing his creator, the Mother. Benny saw many things that made him dizzy, then he found himself standing on a highway. Where was he? Recognizing the road, he realized he was in Scotland.

Benny woke up with a start. Ryan was watching television.

"Hi. Um, I left you a bag, plus made you coffee. Sorry to wake you."

Benny just stared. Ryan shyly looks away, he wasn't sure why Benny seemed different.

Benny, smelling fresh coffee, stretches.

"My neck." God, he felt so tired. He sleepily goes to the bathroom to wash up. When Benny looked up, he nearly fell over.

"Mr Benny, when is my dad coming?" Ryan was looking at Benny with curiosity.

Benny wanted to run up and down the street. He was human! When he looked in the mirror, he knew right away he was "cured."

"Thank you Brother." Chris kept his promise.

"Mr Lafitte?"

"Give me his number." Hearing his stomach growl, Benny realized how hungry he was. He would have laughed if he didn't feel sick. "Achoo! Excuse me." Was he coming down with a cold? Benny couldn't help himself, he started laughing.

Jenna pulls out to the motel, which was the closest to the marina. Plus it helped when she asked if a white male with Benny's expression checked in recently. She left Gayle in a hotel, she told him about Kyra's school, and how Ryan could be kept safe. When she saw a tall man walking out of the motel room, she cautiously approaches him.

"Mr...Lafitte?" She was carrying a cooler of blood, she had to make sure Benny was well taken care of. Murphy already deposited her pay.

Benny looked up. Where did he see her before? Seeing her ring, he wondered if her husband was with her.

"You're not Chris. Does your husband know you're here?" Who was this woman?

"I have a job, your name was given to me." She looked closely at Benny, he seemed different. "You obviously need my help." Wasn't he a vampire? Jenna may not know anything about vampires, but he was human, she was sure of it.

"That party." Now he recognized her. "I'm not a killer."

"I know." She looked at Ryan. "Ryan? Your dad. Gayle is looking for you."

Benny looked back and forth. She must be the one that texted him.

"It was you. Did Chris text you?"

"Chris?" Was Chris Murphy's other agent? "Your name was given to me."

"Achoo!" Ugh. What a way to become human. "I'm hungry, mind buying me lunch?"

Benny sent Chris a text, thanking him for everything.

'You kept your promise brother. Tell Elizabeth I'll be seeing her soon.'

Benny was full from his lunch, although he felt bad Jenna had to pay for it. He already gave her his IOU. He was glad Ryan was safe, Kyra emailed him and said he was getting enrolled along with Gayle, who was hired as a janitor to cover their tuition and lodging. Jenna already paid for their flights, she said she sent the bill to her boss.

Being human. Benny still couldn't believe it.

"Happy birthday to me. Achoo!" He downed his cough syrup, although he grimaced at the bitter taste. Next year, he'll buy a cake. He took out his lucky charm, Andrea's marble. "Once I get better, I'll find a way to free you." He managed to free himself and Kyra, a demon and a vampire from prison. He put down his marble and falls asleep, the medicine knocking him out.

Deep in The Empty, another Lock breaks.
