When Edward went downstairs to the living room at the creek of dawn Alice informed him that now It's the time to meet Bella.
He will be able to talk things out before the Funeral closes. Alice then blocked her thoughts with irrelevant things to avoid discouraging Edward.
He already showered but still went upstairs again to keep himself well groomed.
He wants to look at his best, his eyes were dark brown and needs to go hunting very soon but not until he spoke to Bella.
He wonders what he should do first, Now that the day has arrived he feels so embarrassed. Would groveling at her feet enrage her even more?
Because looking at such a marvelous beauty makes him feel like a peasant. He never felt so unworthy of her.
Edward closes the buttons of his peacoat and viewed himself in the mirror, hopefully Bella will go easy on him.
Edward drove to the cemetery thankfully it wasn't on the treaty line but it's quite sunny. Alice provided him a sun umbrella and underneath it he could walk around the area without sparkling, Edward picked up her scent when he walked passed people, Edward inhaled through the nose and tried not to lose his nerve.
As he walked closer he saw a woman sitting, she was alone and the nearest humans were further into the distance, he could hear their thoughts when the clouds blocked the sunlight a bit Edward dropped the Umbrella to the ground. His skin sparkled slightly but ppl might mistake that for make up.
The sparkles became brighter and then dimmed when the sun rays peeks through the clouds.
Edward walked over to Bella, She was wiping her eyes with a handkerchief formed into a ball, he could see her filch slightly when a sob goes through her and stood up.
She placed a hand over the tombstone like she hoped that she'll see Charlie again very soon.
That poor soul.
Edward lowered his head in shame and tried to speak.
"Bella" Edward spoke.
She froze hearing a voice gentle like a symphony,
Bella turned towards Edwards direction; her mouth slightly parted like she couldn't believe what she just saw. she trembled seeing Edward coming closer al the color was gone from her face and stared at him wide eyed.
Light sparkles were across his face she kept staring wondering if she's dreaming.
Edward proceeded careful there was still no reaction and she remained stunned.
"Bella".. I'm sorry about your loss" Edward said and slowed down trying to see if he can come closer.
" I understand if you do not wish to speak to me now.. but if I had known I wouldn't have left you alone like this" Edward said, venom surfaced in his eyes like liquid silver
there was no tears coming down but it would if he was still human.
Then her face squirmed in fury , baring her teeth as she couldn't contain the onslaught of rage throbbing inside. She trembled as her breathing sound like a hiss with each inhale.
" You stay the hell back!" Bella said venomous, Edward stiffened in place.
" Bella I'm sorry.. I'm sorry about your father," Edward said, " When I heard he died I just want to check up on you to see If there is anything I can do to help you" Edward said.
Bella eyes produced furious tears " Go to hell" I want nothing from you!" Bella exploded and marched towards him.
"Why the hell do you care now?" Bella said as tears blinds her vision, " Do you really think showing your face again will make things better?"
"No.. I'm not here to hurt you, I only want to be there for you if I'm needed" Edward said.
"I'll stay in Forks, I won't be far away ever again Bella I promise" Edward said trying reach out, Hoping Bella would let him comfort her.
She became more furious, again with another useless promise. She lifted up her hand in a fist and wanted to hit him against his chest but Edward grabbed onto it,
he didn't want her to injure her hand. and firmly grabbed her free hand from doing the same.
" Wait, please I never meant to harm you, I only wanted a safe life for you.. to save you from what I am" Edward said but Bella didn't calm down she narrowed her eyes,
they were reddish full of anger the feeling of betrayal caused prickly heat, the whole Cullen family left her behind knowing very well that her life would fall apart like this.
" You made a promise that you would never come back here, Keep it!" Bella yells. " Keep it and get the hell out of my sight"!
" I can no longer keep that promise, I couldn't stay away while you are by yourself with no one to help you" Edward said.
" I don't want your help, I don't want your pity! just go away" Bella screeched but Edward didn't leave her side.
"I'm not going to leave you again, even if you order me away I'm not going anywhere" Edward said.
"I don't want you to stay! Just go to hell where you belong! YOU SOULLESS CREATURE! Bella snarls trying to get out of his grip.
"I'm sorry, for leaving.. I betrayed you Bella" Edward said.
" I love you, I always have and I'll never stop doing so" Edward said his eyes were shimmering,
"Liar!" Bella cried and tried to back away from him.
" No, I never stopped thinking about you," Edward said.
" The things I've said to you that night at the forest are all lies, hoping you would move on from a monster like me, I wanted you to be safe" Edward tried.
" I promise you Bella I'll never do such horrible act to you again," Edward said.
" Get off me right now!" Bella ordered wanting to hit him but Edward firmly held onto her wrists.
"If you wouldn't break your hands hitting me then I would allow it, I deserve that." Edward said.
" I deserve everything you want to say or do to me, but Bella please, can I make things right with you?" Edward pleads.
Bella wanted to yank her hands free but the struggling to get away from him drained her from her strength and felt her knees buckle.
Bella lowered her gaze and sank to the snowy ground; she shielded her face and Edward held on to her as she cried.
the sounds of her keening was damped as she laid with her face against Edwards lap.
She mourned and called out to her father, Edward didn't try to shush her, He wished their reunion wasn't this nerve wrecking.
He wished he would find her with a happy life, maybe be angry with him for a while before he's forgiven.
In his selfish version of them meeting again Bella would run up to him and happily accepts him back
like he never left, Pardoning him for everything he put her through without making any amends.
Edward moved thick curls out of her face when her wailing started to quiet down, she still remained with her face on his knees like a small child that rests.
His eyes shimmered like he's crying along with her but he couldn't produce anything out of them.
he mops her face dry with his sleeve while her tears remain ongoing, he feels so incompetent not being able to do anything that would make things remotely better.
If only he behaved like a man instead of running away like a coward. He could have done something more than say that he's sorry.
What will sorry solve right now?
" I'm such a bastard" Edward said but it was incomprehensible for Bella. He didn't want to dwell in self-loathing, he rather remains quiet and stay with her.
