Bella woke up early, she went for a quick shower in case Edward is waiting for her, they'll go to the Hoh rain forest and to the spirit falls for a swim,

It's so strange that she has to pack something to eat for one person now, at times she forgets Vampires don't use human consumption.

She seems to forget her worries for the future now that Edward and her are friends, he seems to be at his best behavior, no longer trying to force himself on her with sole intent to win her back, Bella could see that he's at peace with their friendship, things couldn't get any better but after the trip she wants to ask Jacob If Edward and the Cullen's can be at the wedding. She truly hopes Jacob could put his anger aside for her just one day.

Bella watched herself in the mirror as she brushes a comb through her hair, it shined in the sunlight, going from dark brown to a chestnut color, She felt an uneasy feeling in her gut Jacob will be angry having the Cullen's over but she would like to have them there and after that she can start a life with Jacob in Hawaii.

It might break Edwards heart a little knowing that she's still going through with her plans but this is the direction he pushed her to.

A shadow obscured the light coming into her window and Edward was in her room, he was still the same yet a bit hesitant,

"Will you ever use the front door like a normal person?" Bella scoffs.

"No," Edward said.

Bella shrugged and reached towards him, " Come on, I got all my things close to the door" Bella said together they stepped outside, spring broke through

It was still a bit chilly but in area's with minimal clouds you can see the light blue sky creating a different environment in Forks.

They arrived at spirit falls and she could hear the waterfall rushing, glimpses of the blue water was there and went towards the edge to look down,

"So beautiful" Bella said, and got out of her blouse and trousers, Edward got out of things much faster and stood next to her,

"Ready?" Edward asked, "Yeah" Bella agreed and climbed on his back. She tightened her hold around his neck and held in a squeak when Edward jumped down, they fell fast and the water was excellent, Bella came up for air and reached her arms towards Edward, they looked at each other happily.

She's never been into nature and do all these kind of things before and now that she learned to create happiness within herself instead of relying on a partner she really likes it, it's one of the reasons why she's happy she didn't turn into a Vampire, otherwise she wouldn't have developed appreciation for nature.

She couldn't imagine being stuck at such an immature state forever, forever frozen and emotionally attached dependent to Edward, She's happy that their departure has taught her to emotionally rely on herself. With that all she needs from people is respect to feel good not their eternal love.

It feels liberating.

Bella playfully splashed Edward and he carefully splashed her in return to avoid to cause a whole tidal wave knocking her down.

Edward remembered how she was when he returned, on her guard, argumentative, irate in a split second, walking on egg shells all of that is over.

Bella never got angry with him again, but didn't want to risk it all by asking if she could take him back. He has never seen Bella this happy, not even at the beginning of their relationship. So if being her friend makes her this happy and full of life then he rather be her friend forever.

They were standing underneath a waterfall And Bella felt nurtured by mother Earth, the water fell hard against her skin and maybe she should come here more often.

the large swimming hole had the bluest water, like blue that you can only find in the Caribbean, It's like being on a honeymoon with Nature.

Bella must admit that she still finds Edward very attractive, and vice versa, it was so cute when his eyes popped when she got out of her clothing revealing a two piece bathing suit. But with Jacob there is more than finding him attractive, He is her life raft. And that's why she can't forsake him for anyone.

And that's fine,

Edward was on his back drying in the sun, Bella watching him inhale seeing slight movements of his stomach going up and down.

No human could ever live to tell the tale about being this close to a vampire, she touched the sparkles on his face and chest, He doesn't flinch but Bella does see him smile

slightly hearing her blood run through her veins. The warm weather made her blood smell even better like soft perfume making his throat throb,

it was time to hunt but he didn't want this day to end, He was so happy when Bella asked him to go hiking that he couldn't even focus on feeding.

"Does your whole skin sparkle?" Bella asked wanting to take a peek in his swimming trousers.

"Hey!" Edward warned.

He eyed her annoyed while tying a firmer knot on his trousers, "Yes human, from head to toe" Edward said.

"Even your private area?" Bella wonders,

"Such a nerve" Edward said, and Bella thought him being repulsed is cute, even when he's offended he doesn't lose his posh accent

" Yes that too" Any more inappropriate questions?"

"Sorry I'm only curious" Bella said and laid next to him soaking some sun.

"Edward your eyes, They are almost dark brown now" Bella said.

Edward eyes became melted coffee brown, "I don't want this day to end" Edward said.

"But you should hunt, I assume my blood still tempts you" Bella said.

"Unfortunately It still does, I'm a monster after all" Edward said.

Bella disagrees but brooding will always be a part of Edward,

Bella sighed sympathizing with Edward but still eyed him gentle, " Go on I'll wait here"

"I rather not have you here without me, there are worse creatures than vampires out there" Edward said.

"Then I'll come and watch you hunt" Bella said.

Edward gave an disapproved look, "Okay I'll wait in the car" Bella said.

And Edward could live with that,

Edward collected their things and carried Bella to his Volvo, Bella went inside the passengers seat, And Edward put the air conditioner on.

He then locked the door, "I'll be back in 15 minutes"

" Stay" Edward warned, Bella nodded and watched him leave.

Bella wanted to lay down and used Edwards blouse as a blanket, it has his scent and reflected on her day,

She felt smoothed out, less stressful about her upcoming marriage and it drowned all her sorrows without taking a sip of alcohol. No anti depressant pill was needed. When she moves to Hawaii she wants to bathe in nature everyday.

They arrived back in Forks, the weather was humid but still cloudy.

Edward walked her to the patio and could hear the thoughts of the neighbor.

"That Cullen boy sure is in great shape, gosh.. I've never seen him like this.. so bare, but he's way too young"

"Too bad, "

Edward tightened his arm around Bella, At times he wished he wasn't a mind reader. But was happy that Bella wasn't completely alone in this neighborhood.

"Let me know when we can do this again. maybe Leavenworth next time?" Edward suggests.

"Yes, before graduation is fine" Bella said.

Edward kissed her forehead, He really didn't want to leave, but thankfully they'll meet again.

"The neighbor is staring at you," Bella said.

Edward shrugged un amused, "I don't care"

He came closer to Bella having his arms around her waist, he wanted to hold her before he goes home,

"Stay safe Bella, If you ever need something don't hesitate to reach out" Edward said. He was worried about her, hopefully she'll let him save her when she gets sick.

Bella nodded, she remained silent as Edward drove off, it was like he knows something about her future, there was something in his eyes, like he's worried about her.

Could it be that he has seen Jacob imprint? Bella shrugged that dire possibility from her thoughts. She should be happy, Jacob will stay with her, so far he never lied to her.

Edward went back home, more people are enjoying the warm weather, some were laying on the grass, thankfully the thick glass of his car prevented him from sparkling,

He briefly reflected on his day with Bella, He could tell that she still loves him, she's no longer afraid to have him near. Now that he earned a part of her trust back he'll nurture it.

When Edward parked in front of his house he made sure his blouse was neatly closed, his mother want all of her children to be dressed modestly in the Cullen's household.

As he made his way to his room he hopes It won't take long before they can spend more time, but he'll wait reaching out until he hears from her.

Bella left her swimwear to dry in the Balcony, She still feels the water of the sprit fall nipping her skin as she changed into her house clothing.

She moved the comforter to the side and sat there reading a book called Midnight sun, It was quite boring but this helps her getting in to slumber faster than her sleeping pills.

Bella felt a shadow going passed her, " Edward?" Bella called but when she turned around it was Jacob standing in her room, hearing her say that pale demon's name was another blow to the heart. She has been seeing him without his knowledge as the stench attacks his feral senses.

"Jacob," Bella smiled, "I'm happy to see you" she wanted to come up to him but he refused to let her kiss him.

"What's going on?" Bella said bewildered, Jacob never said no to her touch, his rejection hurts and knew this is not going to be a great chat.

"You weren't at the reservation to greet me, You knew I would be back today right?" Jacob said.

"Sorry," Bella shivered, " I completely forgot," Bella said.

"Funny, things seems to be slipping your mind a lot ever since that Leech made it's return," Jacob said.

" Including your hatred towards him, or did you lie about that too?" Jacob said taking a step towards her.

"What do you mean Jae?, I haven't lied about anything" Bella said.

Jacob eyed her furious but behind his cold demeanor she could tell he's hurt. "Jacob what's wrong are you angry because I'm friends with the Cullen's ?" Bella asked carefully trying to comfort him.

" That bloodsucker.. We both now you are more than friends" Jacob said.

"So this is it right?" Jacob asked.

" I've been nothing but an emotional crutch, A tool to get over your break up?" Jacob asked.

"What on Earth are you talking about? You're more than that Jacob," Bella said.

"You're my mate" Bella said. She wonders what happened to Jacob, while he was away she spends time with her friends, visited the reservation a few times for Seth what could have gotten into him..

And then realized what made Jacob irate, He must have found out Edward and her are contacting each other again, Oh Jae you silly wolf.. you're the only one I want to be with.

" That doesn't seem like it, otherwise you wouldn't spend a whole afternoon with creatures that I hate the most" Jacob said venomous.

"Jacob it stop it, don't be jealous now, " Bella said

"Well I am Jealous, and hurt, this is the second time that you are choosing him over anyone that stood by you" Jacob said.

"If he leaves you again then don't bother coming back to the reservation because we are done" Jacob said.

"No! There is nothing going on between us, I only agreed to be his friend because his family reached out, Edward no longer feeds and spends his days feeling depressed, He tried to get me back several times but I declined because I want you only" Bella said.

"All I've ever done was uphold the peace, the last thing I need is have him lose his mind and cross the treaty line" Bella said.

"I don't need him in my life just you" Bella adds.

Jacob took a step towards Bella and she flinched back, " Then why do you reek of that Leech?" Jacob snaps.

"This whole room reeks of him, he has been here and the night before, I even smell his stench on your bed"

"You shared a bed with that Leech while you are engaged to me" Jacob said furious, " Why would a man who is your friend sleep next to you?"

Bella breathed out terrified, " But Jacob I.." Bella cried but this time Jacob didn't feel sorry, there was one question that kept burning on the tip of his tongue.

" I love you only Jacob," Bella said.

"Prove it," Jacob said. "Stay away from them" Jacob said and his hand darted towards her smartphone,

"Call him and tell him you never want to see him again, Call him all kinds of names under the sun to make sure he gets the memo" Jacob said.

"No, I'll keep a small distance between us, I'll tell him I'm busy but please don't ask me to be cruel to him, he has been through more than enough" Bella said, and denying his demand answered all Jacob needs to know, no matter how good he is to her, he will always come second place,

"I should have known that you are incapable of loving anyone besides yourself and what you want" Jacob said spiteful,

"No! I love you Jacob, What I feel for Edward now is just a platonic soulmate, I care about him as a friend so can you please stop this?" Bella said.

Jacob chuckled mockingly, "Is that so?"

Bella sobbed looking at him hurt.

"How was the kiss at the Meadows?" Jacob asked.

Bella's eyes grew big, understanding now why Jacob is furious.

"That doesn't sound platonic, Or do you play tonsil hockey with all of your friends?" Jacob said feeling his blood boil.

"But you left to imprint when that happened.." Bella said, It felt like it wasn't in her place to ask him who has ratted her out.

There is nothing honor ful of what she has done.

Jacob didn't want to say anything more and was ready to leave.

" No wait Jacob.. it was only a momentarily relapse, I was dazzled by his scent and it happened but after that I pushed him away, I started an argument to keep him at arms length because I know In my heart It was a wrong thing to do to you" Bella said,

"Please I'm asking you for your forgiveness, Don't hate me please, I'll do everything to make this right with you" Bella said.

"Let's just run away together, after graduation I'll leave with you, and you'll never have to hear his Name from my mouth again.. but please don't leave me" Bella shivered as tears fell on the wooden floor like a broken water pipe.

"Choosing me and end all contact with that Leech wouldn't be this hard for you If all you are saying is true," Jacob said.

"But it is true Jae! the kiss.. it happened when we were broken up," Bella said, "I wasn't cheating on you Technically"

"So that makes everything better? Would you appreciate it If I just hooked up with a few women with the promise I'm coming back to marry you?" Jacob asked.

"No.. It doesn't" Bella said feeling stupid for saying that. " But Jacob I'm asking you for another chance, I swear to you, this will never happen again. I'll even un invite the Cullen's to our wedding but please don't break up with me.. I can't deal with the pain" Bella said.

" You broke us up, I told you from the start that If you go back to the Cullen's we are done" Jacob said.

" It was a mistake, but I will not do such thing again, can you please think about this?" Bella said.

" I don't want us to be apart, don't make decisions when you are mad, I understand you are disappointed with me, but every time I rejected his advances I did it with you in thought, I held onto my anger but I can't be angry anymore,

" I want Edward and I to be friends and have you as my mate," Bella said.

"I choose you Jacob, all you have to do now is choose me.. and I'll be yours forever" Bella said.

"So why won't tell that creature to stay away from you?" Jacob said.

" Because I'm beginning to care about Edward again, but that's as far as I'll go.. I will always love you more" Bella said.

Jacob released his face from her hands and stepped towards the window, " I don't believe you, one day you're going to choose him and I'm not going to stay here and hear the news that I'm replaced" Jacob said.

"Jacob, don't do this" Bella said and Jacob became distant again, she had one chance to be forgiven and she refuses to stay away from the Cullen's.

"You will run back to him, I'll never be enough even though I can offer you more than a vampire could," Jacob said and Bella knew he's ready to leave.

"Jae don't.. stay" Bella said, She didn't know what to do, she didn't want to lose more of his respect and grovel to her knees and beg,

" I should warn you though..

" If you turn in one of these freaks remember you will be nothing to me than just another dead vampire," Jacob said cold.

" The treaty will go for you too, Cross that line and it means war." Jacob said.

"Goodbye Bella, I don't think we should be together" Jacob said,

"No no No" You can't leave" Bella panicked, Jacob leaped from her window disappearing into the forest,

"Jacob please come back" Bella ran outside but couldn't see Jacob anymore, If she runs into the forest then nobody will come to save her,

Bella stumbled towards her patio and fell on her knees, another heartbreak and it was more painful.

Because this time it's her fault that Jacob no longer wants her.

Bella cried it felt like her world stopped moving, She didn't had the strength to find him, moving like an old woman she reached for her phone

the pain in her heart remained persistent like it explode inside her any second, It felt like a Clip was loaded into her heart until it no longer beats.

She placed the smartphone against her ear trying to control her subbing and keep her voice steady.

Her mother picked up after a few rings " Mom.. no.. I'm not doing fine" Bella cried.

"I'd like to borrow some money" Bella said through hiccups.

On the next day Edward was close to Bella's house, Esme wanted Edward to give Bella new tickets, there were open tickets and Bella could choose any destination she wants.

Her face seemed to perk up when he mentioned Leavenworth the other day, so maybe she'll choose that.

He'll leave the envelope at her door pushing it through the gap so she'll find it when she wakes up but when her house came in sight he felt like he got any access denied.

Edward groaned almost letting out a roar. ""No!"

"What did I do now?" Edward asked out loud. Dreadfully he looked at Bella's window, it was closed again with a night light shining in her room.

Edward wanted to pull his hair out of his head in frustrated as he had a fistful of bronze hair.

Edward felt the urge to smash something out of frustration and retreated in the forest. He punched a tree and it turned into splinters of wood.

"I didn't do anything wrong!" Edward shouted.

"I left you alone Bella! I was planning to stay away! You came to my house! You invited me to go hiking!"

"so why are you being this way?" Edward started to become deeply saddened.

"No I'm not going to sulk my way back home, We are going to have a talk right now"

"I'm so sick and tired of being treated this way, Shutting me out all the time" Edward said growling.

"This nonsense will end, I had enough of this cat and mouse and I will not leave until she gets over herself and act like a damn adult for once"

and Edward marched towards her house.

"Bella! Open the door!" Edward shouts not caring if he wakes her neighbors.

"Stop this or ill force my way in!" Edward threatened. He won't do that, and felt slightly bad for saying that but how is he going to make her budge?

Edward climbed on her roof and crouched close to her window, "Bella!" Edward shouted.

He peeked in but her room was empty, Edwards rage became less replacing it with worry.

no heartbeat.. it means she's not there..

Edward then climbed off and looked inside Charlie's room. Empty and the living room there was no one in there. There was no trail of Bella.

"Where did she go to?" Her car is still here" Edward wonders, He sniffed at it, there is no scent on it besides her faint perfume.

Edward hopes he's not overthinking things and keeps his mind calm as he hopes nothing bad happened to her.

Edward went home and dialed her number.

She picked up after the second ring and Edward wished he could kiss her, he was so happy that she's all right.

"Bella?.. where did you go to?" Edward asked.

"I'm with Rene" Bella said saddened.

"Florida?" Edward asked.

"Yes," Bella said.

"Bella what's wrong? Why are you in Florida?" Edward asked.

"I uh.. needed a short break from Forks.. just soak up some sun" Bella said.

"Bella just tell me what's wrong, are you there because of me?" Edward said.

The weather of Florida would make it much harder to find her, and if she's not running from me then what else could be the problem?

"No you're not to blame.. I'll tell you everything when I get back yes?" Bella said.

"Okay, I'll wait for you.. when will you come back?" Edward asked.

"I'll be back Monday, I got class on Tuesday" Bella said, and Edward was happy to hear that they'll meet very soon.

"Shall I send a cab to pick you up from the airport?" Edward asked.

"No that's fine, I'll meet you at my house, or you could come here Rene has a spare room" Bella said.

"Hehe, that's very tempting but I can't.. you know the sun.." Edward said.

"Right.. I wasn't thinking straight but I'll see you soon" Bella said and by the sound of her voice she seems to be doing a bit better.

"Take care of yourself, for Rene and for me too" Edward said.

"I will do that" Bella said.

"I'm sorry for disappearing like that, I didn't expect you to visit"

"I would like to have a warning next time, I thought something happened to you" Edward said leaving his first suspicion out.

"Oh gosh I feel terrible, but I had nowhere to go and I had to leave the awful weather behind so I can calm down" Bella said.

Edward felt troubled that she didn't feel that she could come to him with this but the most important thing is that she's safe.

"I understand Bella, you're in good hands and that's all I care about" Edward said.

When they ended the conversation Edward breathed out rubbing the bridge of his nose wondering if vampires can get a migraine.

Bella seemed very distraught but didn't want to pressure her into saying anything further.

Bella remained in her new room, Rene asked If Bella wanted to stay in Florida after she's done but maybe It's a good idea because she feels like garbage she betrayed Jacob.

She doesn't know how she will ever be able to show her face again at the reservation but she has to try, If he still feels the same about her after calming down then it's better to remove herself from this situation.

Maybe she's not meant to be loved, She unintentionally causes problems but this time she tried to be different, If only she sticked to her original plan and just stay at the reservation, there was no reason to stay at her old house, If she stayed in La Push the Cullen's wouldn't be able to find her, she would have been with Jacob now. He would be here holding her to get her through the night.

Back in Forks Edward is concerned about Bella, she sounded like she was in horrible pain, could the cancer have spread sooner than predicted? he hopes not, please don't let it be that, Edward wanted to tell Bella what will awaits her in the future but he never found the right moment to speak about this. He wants her to live but only If she chooses Vampirism out of her own free will.

Alice had her eyes closed and opened them, " I tried all I could Edward but I don't know what made her flee like that.

"So you can't see what happened to her?" Edward asked Alice.

"No just black empty voids" Alice said.

"Please try again" Edward asked and Alice was trying to get through those dark voids to maybe see a glimpse.

There was something taking form, a silhouette of Bella and Alice's vision became clear,

Edward saw Bella cry running outside calling out to Jacob, she then collected herself and called Rene to buy her a last minute ticket.

"Well this could mean one thing," Edward said and Alice nodded looking away.

"Jacob must have imprinted," Edward said.

"Life just keeps on making things hard for her, I wished I could help her" Edward said.

"All we can do is give our support, If she wants us there at least." Alice said.

"I've been waiting for this moment where he has to leave Bella but can't even be happy about this" Edward said.

"Why?" Alice asked.

"Bella deserves better than me, I'm not going to make my move.. I let her decide If I'm still worthy" Edward said.

"Well that's what you should have done from the beginning instead of pissing that Wolf off" Alice said.

"I know that" Edward snapped back.

"Despite being over a 100 I'm still a fool" Edward said.

"At least you are learning" Alice said holding his shoulder.
