The pairing of tod and doe sprinted away, faster than either of them ever had before. The dark and mucky space, only lit by the lightbulb that flickered as if they were dying out, was suddenly illuminated by flashes of red and orange flames.

"Those three are still out there!" the rabbit said, quickly picking herself up and running forward once again. "I think one of them escaped through here."

The fox followed her lead as she ran away from the sight of the explosion, the flickering flames behind them dissipating from view as they made a sudden left turn. The gloominess of the area was replaced with more darkness, but luckily he naturally possessed night vision that allowed him not to lead them to any dead ends in their path.

They quickly found their way back up to the empty street of the city, the mid-afternoon sunlight hitting their eyes directly as they stepped back out. The bunny went to turn to the right, leading her and the fox through a tight space between two buildings (both of them being vacant within the shopping district).

"Not so fast, rabbit," some rotten-sounding voice snarled from in front of them.

The fox and rabbit found themselves remaining still in that moment, unable to move any further upon hearing who had made that remark in their direction. From behind the malodorous garbage dumpster a foot away, filled with black trash bags to the point where it was unable to properly close, a rotund figure emerged.

Standing before them was a portly ovine with a ruthless grin plastered across his face. He stretched his neck and shrugged his shoulders, looking as if he were ready to fight them in order to get away with the criminal activity he was involved in.

"You've caused enough havoc in this district," said the fox, taking a few small steps forward. "Don't think you and your associates will get away with this."

"You think your a wise guy, don't ya, fox?" the ram replied, his tone similar to the one a bully might use on his victim. "But guess what? You forget a thousand things everyday, and the same goes for the rabbit over there. Make sure this is one of 'em."

Within that moment, the ovine charged forward at an unanticipated speed. All the fox in that moment could do was try his best to shield himself from the ram's horns, and pray he didn't sustain too bad of an injury. After all, there was a city that needed saving.

That was when the television screen went black, and the exhilarating music suddenly came to a stop. The moment the program that was playing, the first episode in a brand new show, came to its end, Nick and Judy just stared blankly at the credits that started to flash quickly before them.

The fox and rabbit, both wearing similar expressions of surprise on their muzzles, looked over at one another in unison. Nick shut the TV off and turned the lights back on, taking the bowl that had their popcorn in it earlier up to the dirty dishes before returning to his bunny's side.

"So…" the tod said with a sigh, placing his arms behind his back. "You wanna give your consensus on that first, Fluff?"

"I'm actually not sure what to say," she said regarding the show she had just watched alongside him. "I will say that it's much better than that movie they made that was pretty much our story with some changes."

"I remember that one," replied Nick. "The one about the wolf and rabbit that end up saving a metropolis from disaster. Yeah, that one was just okay. It was a bit unusual. Not to mention that one scene..." He wiggled his eyebrows as he brought that last part up.

"Niiick..." Judy was quite certain she was becoming red as a beet upon remembering that particular moment in the movie. Returning back to the original subject, she said, "Anyway, I'm still surprised they made a literal show based off us."

"Well, we are some of the finest officers of the ZPD," Nick replied. "And not that we'd like to brag, but we did kinda tackle a huge plot to divide Zootopia a couple years ago."

Judy nodded her head in response, agreeing with his point. "It just feels crazy to hear our names on that show and see other mammals portraying us."

"I agree, Carrots," the vulpine said with a smile. "Though I'll admit that the Nick Wilde on this show isn't as handsome as the real thing. Wouldn't you agree?"

The doe shook her head and grinned back at him. "No one can be as handsome as my fox," she remarked in reply.

"And if I must comment on another thing," Nick added, "I must say that this fictional Chief in this show smiles a lot more than our real one."

Judy laughed at his observation. "I wouldn't tell that to Bogo, though."

"That'd be wise not to," her fox agreed. "Might result in us being given some prolonged period of doing parking duty for that."

The tod let out a sigh and replied, "Gonna have to wait to see more. I think I read somewhere that they're doin' a special episode about the Missing Mammal cases."

"We already know the ending to that story, though," the lagomorph said with a smile.

"Shhh! Don't spoil the surprise for me," Nick joked.

With that remark, Judy started to laugh alongside the fox as she sat closer towards him.

Author's Note: This story is something I've been meaning to share after hearing awhile back that Zootopia was going to be getting its on series, which is some very exciting news. Not only that, but also after hearing that this year will mark five years since the movie first came out. O..M...Goodness, where does the time go? It feels like it was yesterday that I saw it for the very first time and fell in love it. :)

As always, your thoughts on this story of mine, good and bad, are always appreciated.

'Til next time, everybody! :)
