On a normal sunny Snowy day Alpha school is in session and this time we'll be going to Garth's class, Garth stood in front of his class who waited for instructions, and standing next to him with a little smile was Claws, "Ok class today we are going to learn about Cardiopulmonary resuscitation or CPR for short,now what is Cpr, It's an emergency procedure consisting of chest compressions often combined with mouth to mouth in an effort to manually restore breathing in a person who is in cardiac arrest,who can tell me what cardiac arrest is?"Garth asked looking around the class for someone couldn't answer.
"Cardiac arrest is when the heart suddenly and unexpectedly stops beating if not reversed in time it can result in the wolf losing their life, which means you need to act fast in order to save your fellow wolf's life,now I'm going to demonstrate how to properly proform Cpr with the help of Claws."Garth said as Claws waved and then she laid down on the snow and closed her eyes and pretended to be someone not breathing.
"Now what you are going to do first is check to see if they are breathing by opening their airway."Garth said as he gently opened claws mouth and pressed his ear near it, "Ok so the person isn't breathing what you are going to do now is chest compressions, what you need to do is place one of your hands on top of the other and clasp them together. With the heel of the hands and straight elbows, push hard and fast in the center of the chest."Garth said pushing on Claws chest.
"You do that a couple of times, and then you perform mouth to mouth or the kiss of life, now you're not really kissing the person you're just saving their life by giving them breath so none of that Ew nonsense, be mature."Garth said firmly looking at his class.
"What you are going to do is pinch their nose closed,take a breath and place your lips over the patient's mouth, ensuring a good seal, then blow steadily into their mouth for about 1 second, watching for the chest to rise, like this."Garth said as he proceeded to demonstrate mouth to mouth.
Pinching Claws nose then he placed his mouth over hers and blew and Claws rose her chest a little,some of the pups groaned a little bit,as Garth then pulled away "You repeat the cycle until the person is breathing again and that is how Cpr is done,any questions?"Garth asked looking around at the class as he and Claws stood up.
Not a single pup spoke up they just stared at Garth and Claws waiting for further instructions "Alright then,thank you Claws for your help."Garth said as Claws walked away and then Garth looked at his class again "Ok now next lesson."
