Currently it is 7:01 PM right now, what I am doing right now is looking at my home laptop searching for basic information about Gensokyo. Especially about the people in the 1st Window Generation.

About the school uniform and 2 inches taller. First thing of all, school uniform. Why? Well, I have 2 reasons. Firstly, my house has no other outfits deemed to be fit for typical-outsider-get-lost-into-gensokyo. Because most of the outsiders are Westerners or Japanese I guess? Second reason, just to fool people, is that I'm a student who accidentally got lost into Fantasy land. The 2 inches taller part is uh... I felt like it, okay?
Now, the explanation is done. Now, let's get into my weapon of choice and gear for it.

Well alright then, I'm back up a little bit and my hands are out. I look it up and- Holy shit, the system is materializing my request stuff. Oo- It almost done I'm gonna catch it- *thump* Uhm. This rifle is kind of heavy, like holy shit. Oh wait, don't forget about the vest.
Man, the system did even give me the sling for the rifle already attached to it, even though I did not ask for it. But thanks I guess? Okay time to store them in my inventory, don't wanna get caught with these. Inventory.
*Ding* Woah, a blue screen popped up. Uh, 6 straight line squares and 3 of them each down the line, in total inventory have 18 slots, which is not bad after all. Okay, I'm gonna stop admiring the screen before someone sees me holding these real things. So I'm just gonna shove these into the screen- *vrrt* A- okay, the screen just sucked both of them inside for me, so that's nice?

Nah, not yet. I ain't done my business. Gonna search for more information about the land for the sake of myself. By that I mean that there is less chance of dying. But still, I'm gonna keep an eye everywhere for safety. Inventory.

Wait, I wonder what happened if I touch the occupied slot- *Beep* Ah, of course, an information board about the item I stored shows up. Well, I'm just gonna close the inventory screen, and look back at my laptop searching for more information. This is gonna be somewhat of a long night.

I love staying up late at night to search more about Gensokyo. At least the system is gonna delete every single thing about my existence, once I insert the coin. Alright, now I have a grasp of the events of the Touhou Universe between 6-12... Right, I forgot about the Maribel and Renko saga. Back to reading then!

Man, I surely love reading the Maribel and Renko saga at 1:02 A.M, by using this damn phone to look at the story. I think I should take care of my health. Yeah I should do it when I get transported into Gensokyo.

In the land named Gensokyo, there is this woods called Muenzuka, covered with red spider lilies and cherry blossoms. There is a peculiar cherry blossom, the special characteristic of the tree is that it's big in size with purple colored flowers.
Once a year, the purple flower will bloom, the tree will purify its land and sever all hesitation from all phantoms and ghosts to go to the Road of Liminality and be judged by the Yama at the end.
However, there's one teenager peacefully sleeping near one tree and is going to wake up soon. Will he shape the future of Gensokyo?

I did exactly the same as my chest rig, and walla. Here it is, on full view, appealing glory. Carry handle? Checked. Bayonet lug under flash hider? Checked. Sling? Checked. Safe and Semi-Auto only? Checked. Gas adjustment system? Checked. Last, the mag under it, just gonna press level behind the mag and it is out. I see, full of 7.62 NATO. Loaded it back on the rifle. Look on the left side near the trigger, safety on. Pull back the folding cocking handle and let that slide back a bit, no round chambered yet. Pull the slide back fully and let that go, *clinck* live round on. Also, why do I feel like I got used to the weight? Maybe because I got a perk?

The rewards are cool and all but like, I have to deal with other goblins. Oh. 3 of them started walking out of the tree.
They looked shocked. Well, I mean I shot possibly their leader, dead on the spot. On their head is.

Alright, so let me analyze. The Lv. 3 is brown-skinned with a club wearing ragged clothes, Lv. 5 is normal green-skinned with the same exact clothes, holding a makeshift bone knife. Lastly, Lv. 7 is wearing a loincloth, a bone necklace, and a rusty ass knife that probably came from the outside world. 57 yards far away.
I lowered my rifle into hip-firing position- Oh shit, the Lv. 5 and 7 one is charge at me unexpected *KEEEEEAAAA-*. However, *BANG* *KEEEK-* one down, straight into the skull. *BANG* *Keke-ke* Still moving huh? HOW ABOUT THIS! *BANG* BANG* BANG*. Holy shit, I shred that goblin into pieces. Now, the last one.
Blood pond forming from 2 of the goblins. Body full of adrenaline. I started to smile, walking towards it. The last goblin is shaking in fear, slowly walking back. However, *BANG* *KEEEAAAAAAA-*. That's right, your right kneecap is gone now, son. The brown skin holds the open wound by using the hands to slow the bleeding. I started getting close to it, right arm holding on carry handle, scared huh? HOW ABOUT THIS! *BASH*.
I started smashing it face by using the buttstock of the rifle, two arms holding the handguard. *BASH* Blood starts coming out of its nose. *BASH-CRACK* Bones breaking. *BASH*. Blood spilling on my face, glasses. The bottom stock is full of blood, the shirt has some blood stuck on to it, same goes with the rig too.
A harmony in violence, bashings, and a manic laughter.
"Ha-ha-HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA". Repeat, repeat, and repeat. Until the goblin face turns into, well let's just say mash potato but red and smell like iron.

But the scariest shit for me is. I don't feel bad about it. Don't get me wrong I know clearly it is in the name of self-defense but still, there is something wrong about me and I couldn't explain…

A gap in mid air, many eyes inside the gap looking at me, they were observing me. Inside the gap, there was a smiling woman, sitting on top of the gap, purple eyed, long blonde hair, pale pink mob hat with red ribbon in it, wearing a purple dress and a paper fan in her hand. Nice chest size tho.
Yukari Yakumo. The Gatekeeper of Gensokyo.
She unfolds her paper fan and now covers her mouth, her purple eyes now looking at me, I'm… don't know how to feel, eventually her eyes pass though me and now looking at the corpses, especially the last one. Yeah ma'am, I crush that goblin face until you can't recognize it anymore. Now, she folds her fan, pointing at me, raising it up and down slowly. Seems like she's making me understand Japanese with that gesture. I look on top of her head.

"So dear," holy shit, she started speaking to me "mind telling me what did you do with 'that' Youkai?" Oh, erm I uh. Okay, HALF-BULLSHITTING TIME!
"Miss, I do not know who you are, and why you are here. But I can definitely tell you that, my mind goes on the loose and does that." Also, why do I ain't scared of her? Because of my mentality of treating Touhou characters like normal humans? Probably. Also my breathing is normal now, which is nice I guess?

"So, miss Yukari. I woke up in this unfamiliar land, while on my way home to school." I started raising my SLR and pointing at my chest rig ready to bullshit- Wait, there's no blood anymore and on my rifle, shirt, rig too! The goblins are gone too! I immediately look at her. "Miss Yukari, you're not human aren't you?" Yeah, your gap shenanigans won't pass though my eyes!
She unfolds her fan and starts waving it at herself. Smiling.
"My, my what a smart boy. Indeed, I'm not a human." I started raising up my carry handle and ready to hold the handguard. "Fufufu, calm down boy, I'm not those bloodthirsty Youkais you just met."
"Youkai?" I questioned. Well, still bullshitting of course.
"To be simple dear, you know those tales of mythical beings, urban legends exist in a form of folklore or rumors exist in the west and east. Technically, they exist. In this land that is named, Gensokyo. Where west and east coexist. Now, I'm done about explaining this land. You can go back explaining yourself now." Oh, thanks Yukari.
"So, where do I stop… ? Oh right, when I was about to explain the rifle and chest rig. Well, miss Yukari, if you ask me how I got these things, then I don't know either." Hey don't look at me like that! "By the time I wake up, these things are already on me." She gave me a small nod. "Well, about my mind running loose, is just that already a thing when I was born. Don't get me wrong, I control it well. Except now." She looked at me understandably.
"Pardon me dear, can I ask your name?" Oh she's asking for my name. Alright then.
"Well miss, my name is… Victor. Victor Charlie, miss Yukari."
"Very well then, Victor boy. I will point you to the way out of this forest." She starts pointing the way behind me, south huh? "If you go that direction, you should see a dirt road once you get here." I started looking the way she pointed . "I'm sure that you know what those flowers are. And those little tricks of yours." Wait why does her sounds more closer-
"Wha-? WAH!" JESUS CHRIST! SHE JUST APPEARED BEHIND ME!
"My, my, seems like our little Charlie boy being easily scared." Very funny, Yukari. Very funny. Ah and, she's like 4 inches taller than me, like 6'3.
"It seems like my time is over, I hope you have a good journey in Gensokyo. Victor Charlie." After she said that, she opened her gap and walked through it. "Farewell. We will meet somewhere again." The gap disappeared.

*woosh* The sound of the wind passing through my ears. I look at the red lilies, waving, petals falling. The sight looked beautiful yet sad at the same time. "No time to waste." I started getting up, slung the rifle into the back of mine. Ready to go.
"System, Aura mode: Purify."

Huh, I start to feel something covering me, that means this is a good sign to go.
I started going near the red lilies, looking at them. "Gonna expect the future to throw some shit at me."
Then that's when I walk into the poisonous red lilies field. Feeling fine- Oh god, that's a human skeleton. Jesus Christ.

Heya, I'm ProbablyAverageJoe or AverageJoe to be simple.
So, this is my first time making a Touhou self-insert fic, with even the gamer trope too(even though this gamer system is not mine, but hey. At least it's making more sense now). Now, I know what you readers are thinking right now: "Do you gonna end up making yourself a Gary Stu?" Well, maybe to some extent but not too much. And yes I'm 16.
The reason why I made this fanfic, is because Touhou fanfiction of self-insert and gamer type is kind of dying(at least for me). Plus I wanna hop in to try it out. Other Touhou fanfiction inspired me to do this, and will I make some reference about them in this fic? Maybe.
Shoutout to Ligoya and his self-insert Touhou fanfic, Accelerator Junior Getting Thrown Around in Gensokyo. I 'borrow' his gamer system and improve it by myself, and some moments of the chapters. No, there will be no large time skips until I make me spend 1 whole week in this fic. (Ligoya if you see this, please message me so I can get your permission.)
