Character: Jeff, Scott
Warnings: Nightmare.
'Get away from me!'
The scream woke everyone, but it was their Dad who got to the door first, gesturing them to wait outside.
The scene inside was as he expected. His son, bathed in sweat and entangled in sheets, was fighting imaginary enemies.
'No! Don't!'
'Scott.'
'Get away from me!'
'It's me. Dad.'
'No!'
'It's alright, Son. You're safe.'
With another scream Scott bolted from his bed and into the arms of his waiting father.
Jeff held him tight as he struggled for a moment before realisation hit Scott.
'Dad?'
'You're safe, Scott. You're home.'
'Home. I'm home. Safe.'
