Chapter 1:
The Arrival
Anna Wayne, daughter of Gotham's Dark Knight and the Amazonian Princess, also known as Wonder Woman, sat in her massive bedroom, bored out of her mind. It was the first week of summer break, and that meant three whole months of freedom and fun. She could do about anything: go to movies, play games, or go swimming, but she already did. Anna went to watch the same movie, played at the arcade every other night, and went swimming at the Gotham City Pool House-all in the first few weeks.
Anna sighed as she layed on her bed, twiddling her thumbs. I wish I could have a fun summer, an unspected one, she thought. At that time, her mom came into her room. wearing her superhero uniform.
"Your dad and I have to go to the Gotham City Bank. Some guys are robbing it, and we have to stop them. Are you going to be okay here alone?" her mom asked. Anna nodded. "Yes, Mom. I'll be fine."
"What's wrong?" Diana questioned, noticing her daughter's sour mood.
"I'm bored, Mom!" Anna complained. "There's nothing new in this city to do. I've been to the same movie, arcade, and pool house the past weeks."
"Why don't you go somewhere different, then?" Diana suggested.
"Like where?"
"I don't know. Maybe you could drive around until you find a place. A change of scenery will do you some good." Diana gave Anna a small smile to which she returned. Then she left. Afterward, Anna got up, got dressed, and went to her car. She started it and drove out of Gotham until she came to a road that led to a small town. On the right, she saw a faded roadsign that said, "Welcome to Riverdale: The Town with Pep!" She beemed excited as she drove forward; this was exactly what she was looking for, or so she'd thought.
