The next morning, Yugi and Joey were about to have an Action Duel.
"I'll take the first turn," said Joey as he drew a card.
"First, I set the Pendulum Scale with scale 1, Star Dragon and scale 11, Pendulum Wizard," he said.
"Then I activate Honour Code, which lets me add one Warrior and one Dragon-type monster to my hand," said Joey.
"Finally, I use the Pendulum Scale to summon two Red-Eyes B. Dragons and one Gilford the Lightning," said the blond.
"Wheeler is not holding back today," said Kaiba.
"Now I use my two dragons to build the Overlay Network to XYZ Summon, Red-Eyes King Dragon," said Joey. His new monster had three thousand ATK and DEF and resembled Red-Eyes but with a thicker body and two heads.
"With that I'll end my turn," he said.
"You did good, Joey, but now it's my turn," said Yugi as he drew.
"I'll start off the same way you did by setting the Pendulum Scale with Dark Pendulum Magician and Pendulum Knight Lv. 3," he said.
"Using the Pendulum Scale, I summon Pendulum Knight Lv. 7," said Yugi.
"That monster can't do anything to my monsters," said Joey as he looked at it's two thousand one hundred ATK.
"Not after I activate the spell, Dark Summon Alter, which lets me sacrifice one light monster to Special Summon two Dark-type monsters from my deck," said Yugi. The two cards he summoned were both Dark Magician.
"Now he's going to summon Slifer," said Yuma. Sure enough, Yugi did summon Slifer, then used his ability to bring the Magicians back.
"Slifer now attacks your dragon," said Yugi.
"No he won't, by using an Overlay I end the battle," said Joey.
"Then I'll set two cards and end my turn," said Yugi.
"I draw!" said Joey.
"Using Star Dragon's effect, I can fuse my Gilford the Lightning with the Red Eyes B. Dragon I just drew," said Joey.
"Now he's fusion summoning?" asked Yuya.
"Come on out, Gilford of the Dark Lightning!" said Joey.
"Now he has two monsters with three thousand ATK each," said Solomon while looking at a Gilford that was wearing pitch black armor and holding a blood red sword.
"Next, I activate the spell, Monster Armorment, which allows me to make monster's on my field into weapons so I can become a monster," said Joey. Red-Eyes then turned into a sword while Gilford turned into a shield which replaced his duel disk.
"And my ATK and DEF are equal to that of my monsters' combined," he said as his ATK AND DEF hit six thousand. .
"I can't believe that he turned himself into a monster," said Luna. Joey then attacked Slifer.
"I use the Action Spell, Evasion," said Yugi who had rushed to grab the card from where it was laying. Slifer then dodged Joey's attack.
"Sorry Yugi, but Gilford's effect allows me to attack twice in the same turn," said Joey as he rebounded back to Slifer.
"Not after I activate another Evasion," said Yugi.
"I end my turn," said Joey as he returned to his side of the field.
"That was a fun move you pulled off, Joey," said Yugi as he drew a card.
"So much in fact that I think I'll do the same," said Yugi as he played Monster Armurment.
"Now Yugi's using that card?!" asked Kaiba.
