In the school...
Once classes started up again, Mr. Aizawa started some hero training right away. Everyone was training with each other, each of them taking turns to pin one of them down to the ground. It was one on one, and the next heroes in training up was Uraraka and Bakugo.
Bakugo gave Uraraka a snarl as he made an explosion in the palm of his hand.
"Come on, Uraraka. Don't think because you've fought with GunHead makes you think you can beat me," Bakugo said to her.
Uraraka hasn't fought Bakugo since the Sports Festival, and she was surprised to figure that out just now. In fact, ever since they all arrived here, she hasn't really gotten around to talking to him about everything that's happened. They weren't friends, but Bakugo was childhood friends with Midoriya. He even just now helped Midoriya out of a bad situation.
Uraraka got in a fighting stance and got ready for an attack thrown her way. He was about to send an explosion of rocks her way, but she quickly activated her quirk on herself and flipped over him.
Bakugo kept an eye on her as she landed back on the ground. She was about to touch him from behind, when she spotted Midoriya in the distance. He was watching them through tears in his green eyes. She couldn't look away, and suddenly felt Bakugo's arm pin her down to the ground.
Uraraka tried to get up, even reached out to make him float, but it was no use. He grabbed her wrist with a smirk on his face.
"Is that the best you can do?" Bakugo asked her as he let her go.
Their turn was up, and they both walked away from the gym. Bakugo sat on a bench away from Midoriya, and Uraraka grabbed a towel and her water bottle. She took a sip and looked at her boyfriend once more. She really wanted to check on him, but something told her to let him be alone for a while.
She felt so bad for Midoriya, but she knew Ladybug was planning on getting his Miraculous back.
In the meantime, Uraraka looked back to Bakugo who was watching Kirishima going up against Ashido. He sat on the bench a little slumped, barely looking interested in the fight. She walked up to the bench and sat next to him, surprising him a little.
Uraraka sat there like they were friends, taking a sip of her water. She left him watch her, but didn't look his way.
"Why don't you go sit with your boyfriend or something?" Bakugo mumbled to her.
"I would, but I can tell he needs to be left alone for a while," Uraraka told him and wiped some sweat off of her forehead.
There was silence between them as they both watched Ashido weave around Kirishima using her acid quirk. The fight went on for a while, Ashido even accidentally got some acid on him at one point. However, Kirishima finally was able to gain the upper hand and pinned Ashido to the ground.
Once the fight was over, Bakugo spoke up.
"So, Deku's quirk is the way to get back home, huh?" Bakugo pointed out.
Uraraka didn't really know what to say to that since she already knew about it. She looked at Bakugo, who had a somewhat softer look to him.
"And by the looks of it, it seems you already knew about this."
Bakugo barely moved from his spot as Uraraka fiddled with her water bottle.
"Yeah... Me, Deku, Kyouka, Marinette and Adrien find out about it a while ago. Some time before his Miraculous was taken," Uraraka explained to him, "It seems that Deku knew nothing about it."
Bakugo reached for his water bottle on the ground and took a swig of it. He wiped off the water dripping down his chin and looked over at Midoriya.
He looked like he was looking down at his belt loop, missing the Miraculous that was taken from him. Bakugo noticed he patted the top of his head, realizing he was remembering those moments of Dekku sleeping on his head.
"That Kwami of his must know something about this, and now that there's another Butterfly Bastard around, they might find out about our way back home," Bakugo explained.
Uraraka didn't even think about that. It was Midoriya's Kwami after all, so she didn't think that it might say anything. Uraraka remembered Ladybug telling them this new HawkMoth might be Lila. She clenched her fists tight as she remembered that day when Lila captured Midoriya right out from under her.
Bakugo noticed her eyes giving a piercing glare to the one who did this.
"Ladybug might be right after all, this new HawkMoth might actually be Lila," Uraraka said to him through clenched teeth, "She won't get away with this."
Bakugo smirked at her, throwing Uraraka off.
"I gotta say, I like seeing get all fired up," Bakugo commented, "It reminds me of the Sports Festival. You actually put up a good fight."
Uraraka was stunned to hear him say this. She didn't think he even thought about that day at all. The Sports Festival was very important to her, and now that he's bringing it up now made her feel even more pumped up. She let a smile slip towards him, surprising him.
"I didn't think you would ever get around to complimenting me about that tournament," She said to him teasingly, "Don't forget, I almost won."
Bakugo gave her a smirk, sitting up straighter.
"In your dreams, Uraraka."
Midoriya sat away from everyone since he couldn't participate in the hero training. Not because he didn't have his quirk, but because he got in trouble for running out of school without letting Mr. Aizawa know. He sat there in the back watching his classmates train together. Usually he would jot down some notes about what he was watching, but not today.
He had just lost his Miraculous. He almost had it, but it got away from him again.
Something about that encounter made him remember a dream he had the night the Miraculous was taken. It was One for All and one of the holders. He couldn't remember what he said to him, but all he could get out of it was that he was telling him how sorry he was for this to happen. One for All had found out their quirks were strong enough to send them all home somehow, but it would only work if his quirk was turned into a Miraculous.
Everything after that was a blur.
Midoriya noticed Uraraka sitting with Bakugo, but didn't want to get up. She looked like she was talking to him about something important. He could tell it had something to do with him.
He looked down at his belt, expecting to see his Miraculous right there. But it wasn't. It felt like he might start crying again. He then felt the top of his head and didn't feel Dekku sleeping on top of his head.
He really missed that. It was embarrassing at first, but it started to grow on him.
"De-Dekku..."
Tears started to form around his eyes, but he quickly wiped them away before they could fall. He went back to watching his friends training, but he thought he saw something heading this way. The school doors were open, so there was a full view of the Paris streets.
He squinted his eyes, but couldn't tell what it was. Even Class 1-A started to notice and stopped what they were doing.
"What is that?" Sato asked them.
"It looks like..." Ashido said, trailing off as it got closer.
Something green flew into the school and latched onto Midoriya's hair. It almost knocked him out of his seat. His green eyes widened when he saw Dekku hugging his hair.
"De-Dekku?!" Midoriya cried out.
Everyone stopped what they were doing and ran over to their friend. They were both in tears of joy, hugging each other. Midoriya couldn't believe this, he never expected his Kwami to come flying back to him.
"Ho-How are you even here?!" Midoriya cried out as he looked at him in the palms of his hands.
All of his classmates crowded around him to make sure he was okay. They even noticed the Kwami didn't have the Miraculous with him.
"Wait, how did you escape from the new HawkMoth?" Ashido asked the Kwami as she petted him.
"She actually goes by Chrysalis," Dekku explained to them.
"Chrysalis?" Class 1-A questioned in unison.
"Eh, I liked Butterfly Bastard better," Bakugo mumbled.
"Ye-Yeah, she's kind of scary. I was able to get away from her through this butterfly window in the other HawkMoth's lair," Dekku explained to them.
Class 1-A all straightened up from this news, knowing full well where she was. They knew where to look for her now because of Midoriya's Kwami.
"We have to tell Marinette and Adrien about this right away!" Iida cried as he ran as fast as he could to their current class.
Midoriya looked around his Kwami to really make sure he was okay. No scratches or bruises on him. He let out a deep breath and sat down on the bench. His green eyes weren't leaving him as they glistened at how happy he was to see him again.
"Dekku, I'm so happy you got away from her," Midoriya said to the Kwami.
"But-But, I don't have the Miraculous with me... I wasn't able to take it from her..."
The Kwami lowered his big ears in sorrow, but Midoriya still gave a scratch under the chin anyway.
"I-It's okay, Ladybug and Cat Noir will help us get it back, and then we can go home," Midoriya said to him.
The Kwami's ears shot up once he told him that, and he floated up in front of him. He actually looked serious for a moment.
"De-Dekku...?"
"Izuku, I'm sorry. Chrysalis knows about all of you... about how you guys aren't from here... She's trying to open up this machine in HawkMoth's lair to figure out where all of you come from..." Dekku explained.
Class 1-A all looked around at each other with shocked looks on their faces. Whether this Chrysalis was Lila or not, this still wasn't good. She could use the Butterfly Miraculous to go to their Japan when they had no where to reach them. They needed Ladybug to take care of the akuma after all.
"This isn't good," Uraraka said to Bakugo.
"Well, we should all head to that Butterfly Bastard's lair right now if this Caterpillar is there already!" Bakugo yelled.
Marinette and Adrien came running down the stairs with Iida catching up to them. They were almost out of breath once they saw Dekku floating in front of Midoriya. He looked so happy to see his friend back.
"Marinette! Adrien! Dekku's back! He escaped from Chrysalis!" Midoriya cried out.
"Chrysalis?" Marinette questioned.
"This is amazing!" Adrien commented.
Marinette's blue eyes widened in disbelief and was so excited to see him unscathed. Then she noticed he wasn't holding his Miraculous, and it wasn't around his belt loop either. She felt like something wasn't right here.
"Marinette, are you okay?" Kirishima asked her, noticing she looked distraught.
"Dekku... Please don't tell me you escaped without the Miraculous..." Marinette said to the Kwami.
Class 1-A looked confused, but based on her reaction, this wasn't anything good. The Kwami looked upset as it turned towards her.
"N-No... I wasn't able to grab it from her... But I escaped while she wasn't looking!" Dekku exclaimed with a punch, looking a lot like Midoriya there for a moment.
Marinette looked up at Midoriya with a worried face, and he knew something wasn't right.
"If she still has the Miraculous, that means she can take him back at any moment," Marinette told them.
Midoriya's eyes widened and held the Kwami close to him. He looked around like she might come out and take him away.
It was really quiet for a while as everyone expected her to show up. Marinette knew that she wouldn't show up and instead kept her eye out for anything coming from the Kwami.
Suddenly, he felt a pull coming from the Kwami. Something was tugging Dekku away from him.
"Wha-What is this?!" Midoriya cried out.
The tugging got stronger, but Midoriya kept pulling back. It looked like Midoriya was pulling onto an invisible rope, and it wasn't letting up.
Uraraka ran over to Midoriya pulled his arm for support. It was stronger than they thought. Something was pulling Dekku back over to Chrysalis.
Midoriya watched in horror as Dekku was slowly slipping from his grip. Bakugo surprisingly gripped onto his other arm to help pull him back, and it was starting to work.
"I've got you, Dekku!" Midoriya said, gritting through his teeth.
But then, Dekku slipped out and grabbed onto Midoriya's hand.
He quickly went to grab onto his Kwami, but Dekku couldn't hold on much longer. As soon as the Kwami lost his grip, Midoriya launched backwards because of how strong the tugging was. Uraraka and Bakugo fell to the ground, but quickly got back up.
"Dekku!" Midoriya yelled out.
His Kwami was gone.
Midoriya stood up looking out at where the Kwami once was. Uraraka walked up to her boyfriend and held his hand for support. Even Bakugo stood by his side knowing full well where the Kwami was.
"Chrysalis had gotten into HawkMoth's lair, so that's where we'll go," Midoriya said with a determined look on his face.
Another amazing chapter!
Uraraka and Bakugo are starting to get along a little. Now that they all know about Midoriya's quirk being their way back home, Bakugo is determined to get it back! Poor Midoriya just got his Kwami back, and now he has to go after his Miraculous to get it back! They all found out Chrysalis is looking through HawkMoth's lair! Marinette and Adrien are here to help!
What's Mr. Aizawa going to think of this??
More to come soon!
