3 days following their meeting with Ben, Wolfheim and Draculos head to God Serena's residence. They even brought Warrod with them because they knew that if something happened, they wouldn't be able to defeat God Serena that easily. The three of them know how powerful the strongest man on the continent is.
They meet with God Serena who sat haughtily on a couch while the other three were standing. It's how he normally behaved, so they didn't even bother mentioning it. Then without any chit-chat, Draculos informed God Serena about the reason they were there.
"God Serena, we've heard something unsettling, so we want to confirm it. Is it true that the Alvarez Empire contacted you?" Draculos asked.
God Serena was a little surprised and his arrogant and haughty expression faded instantly. His expression became cold and he stared at the three of them.
Then he smirked and said, "That's not true."
The three seem to be relieved, but they knew something was wrong from the look on God Serena's face.
"Then the news about your defection to the Alvarez Empire is also wrong, correct?" Warrod asked.
"Well, about that." God Serena said before someone interrupted him.
"The news about the Alvarez Empire contacting him is wrong. But the news of his defection is true. We weren't the ones who contacted him, he was the one who contacted us." A man with a skull tattoo on his face said after appearing out of nowhere.
The three old mages are surprised because they didn't sense anything before this man appeared. They are three of the strongest mages on the continent, yet they were fooled so easily. This wasn't the end of the surprises they would receive because a old man suddenly entered the room through the door and they can feel the immense magic power coming from him.
"Jacob, there's no need to reveal such information to our enemies. His Highness has ordered us not to cause any trouble while we're here. It's not time yet, so we shouldn't cause a scene." The old man said. The other three Gods of Ishgar knew who he was.
"You're August?!" Draculos exclaimed in surprise.
August looked at them for a moment before ignoring them and looking at God Serena and Jacob.
"Let's leave now. His Highness told us to be fast because the information was leaked and he was right. More information might be leaked if we stay here too long." August said as he looked at the three wizards again.
"Humph, fine, they're not that important anyway. I don't see any benefit fighting them now." God Serena scoffed.
"Good. Let's go, Jacob." August ordered.
"I understand." Jacob nodded.
Jacob, God Serena and August vanish from the room. The three wizards were surprised and immediately looked for the trio. They suddenly heard a loud, wheezing sound, so they go outside and look up to the sky where the sound came from.
Above God Serena's residence, they see a big floating ship. It's a literal ship that flew, not an airship like the one Fairy Tail has. The ship then flew away, leaving the three stunned wizards behind.
"Damn, this really is the worst. I never thought God Serena would defect to the Alvarez Empire. It's just like the kid said." Wolfheim muttered.
"Out of everyone, it just had to be him. We really need to be worried about the Alvarez Empire now. They have 12 individuals on the same level as God Serena. And I don't think he will be the strongest among the 12. Then, there's still their emperor, Zeref." Warrod said.
"That's right and I don't think Etherion can stop them again if they attack. They must've come up with a strategy to counter Etherion, so we need to think of other methods." Draculos noted.
"Yeah, and I can only think of one method at the moment. We need that kid." Warrod said.
"But where is he? He said he would face God Serena, but he hasn't shown up at all." Wolfheim asked.
"I'm sure he has his own strategy. He was the only one who obtained information on God Serena's defection. So he must have a plan to stop God Serena." Draculos pointed out.
"I hate to admit it, but I think he's our only hope to stop God Serena. The three of us know what that man is capable of the best and we will need to use everything we have to take him down. His eight Dragon Slayer Magics aren't just for show. But that kid, he gave me a far more terrifying feeling than God Serena." Wolfheim commented.
"Yeah, I can still feel the chill just remembering our meeting three days ago." Draculos added.
"Well, even if God Serena has eight Dragon Slayer Magics, he never actually slayed a dragon. Ben on the other hand managed to slay not just one, but three dragons in a single night by himself. He defeated another one but kept it alive for an unknown reason. We never saw him using his full power in a battle, but my gut tells me that he is more powerful than God Serena." Warrod replied.
"I would've disagreed in the past, but I agree with you now and I hope it is true." Wolfheim stated.
"Yeah, he might be our only home." Draculos nodded.
The three old Gods of Ishgar who are said to be the strongest on this continent are relying on a young man now. Well, that young man had done many things that were considered impossible. He just didn't get enough recognition because he is a member of Fairy Tail, a guild that the Magic Council hated.
Now, these three finally realized that they needed to reform the Magic Council. A organization that manages Ishgar's magic world shouldn't be biased and needs to be fair. Sure, Fairy Tail mages misbehave, but their achievements are greater than any other guild on Ishgar.
While the three wizards talk about Ben, the other 3 heading to the Alvarez Empire also discuss him. August is close to Zeref, so he had heard many things. And lately, Zeref kept thinking about Ben and anticipated a battle with him.
"God Serena, do you know a Dragon Slayer named Ben Cooper?" August asked.
"Hmm? Ah, I think I've heard of him, but I'm not sure." God Serena tried to remember Ben.
God Serena is a very arrogant and self-centered person who thinks that others are beneath him. So he wasn't interested in others and deemed them insignificant. That is also the reason why he never accepted Ben's challenges. He can't be bothered to fight a insignificant person.
But August's next words perk his interest.
"His Highness is very interested in that man. He also told me something interesting. While you have eight Dragon Slayer Magics, he has three Slayer Magics." August said.
"Slayer Magic? Why is it just Slayer Magic?" Jacob asked.
"It's not really a type of magic by itself. What I mean is that he has three different types of Slayer Magic, all three types known on our continents. He has Devil, Dragon and God Slayer Magic with the same element, the sun." August explained.
Jacob and God Serena's eyes widened and Jacob asked. "How is that even possible? Those three types have different tiers. So the higher tier should overpower the lower ones and make them disappear."
"That's what we think because we never had anyone talented enough to learn all three types at once." August said.
"Sun Dragon Slayer, huh? I think I remember him now. He was that annoying kid who always looked at me with a irritating gaze every time we crossed paths." God Serena recalled seeing Ben before.
"I'm really surprised you don't know him though. He is very famous now after slaying three dragons that came from the past and even fought Acnologia after that." August told God Serena.
God Serena seemed surprised and asked, "Really?"
"Yeah, that's why His Highness is interested in him. You really are something else." August sighed.
"Hmm, then I-" God Serena is unable to finish his sentence because suddenly they sense a powerful source of magic coming towards them at an unimaginable speed.
They look in the direction it came from and can only see a yellow light flying towards them. It flew extremely fast and it already reached their ship just after they started looking at it. They didn't even blink when the light crashed into their flying ship.
Everyone held on to anything they could find because the ship was suddenly pushed to the side. Then they all look at the intruder who is calmly walking forward as the ship stopped moving. It's a man with rather dark skin, blonde hair and had a Fairy Tail mark on his right hand. Ben had appeared.
