A/N Hello again everyone, and it is time for a new chapter. Like I said last time, now we will start to get into the nitty-gritty. Our heroes will arrive at Fredbear's Diner and actually begin to find clues for what is going on, but what else will they find? Minor spoiler, I will be introducing my OC in this chapter, so I am looking for feedback on them. Anyway, please enjoy this chapter.

Fredbear's Family Diner was located among the ruins of a suburb that was long uninhabited. Empty shells now stood where families once spent their lives, and the parks and yards where children played now stood empty and overgrown. The diner itself, however, stood out from among the abandoned structures. The mascot of the location, which seemed to be an older and much more gold version of Freddy stood above the entrance, with the diner's logo written in calligraphy below it. The colors of the building, its purples and yellows, spoke to a bygone era of glory in the 1980s that had since faded, as evidenced by the mostly boarded-up windows.

Why any further business would be conducted at such a relic of its time is unknown, which is likely the reason that Fazbear Entertainment chose this location to do so in the first place. Regardless, at 11:30 that evening, a white van pulled into the disheveled parking lot with a purpose, to find the secrets of the company that spawned from this place. When the trio had parked, Vanessa first exited the driver's side, followed by Freddy from the passenger's side and Gregory from the back. Vanessa, once again dressed in her security guard uniform stared intently at the old diner while the others came close behind her.

"This is the place," she stated as she pulled a keyring from her pocket. "Getting in will definitely be the easy part."

She signaled for the others to follow her, and they all began walking towards the entrance. "Hey Vanessa," said Gregory, "Why did you wear your old uniform, anyway?"

She sighed. "Well, I didn't actually tell my boss I was coming here, and if I'm seen I could be in more trouble than I already am. So, I figured it'd be best to come like this to draw attention away from us."

The boy saw she was already anxious, so he decided to drop the subject there. After a few more seconds they reached the door and Vanessa placed a key from the keyring into the lock and chain holding the door shut.

"Do you have a plan for if we do see any… hostile animatronics?" asked Freddy.

"Not really," she responded, "but I do have my tazer on me now, and you got that faulty voice upgrade from Chica. So, we should at least be able to stop them for a bit."

Freddy was still somewhat sensitive on the issue that his new voice box was taken from one of his friends. He knew that Chica was being manipulated into hunting down Gregory like the others, but he didn't want to think about what would have been done to stop her. He still missed that gluttonous chicken. He wondered, though, how she would be if they found her here.

"I've got the fazerblast, too," exclaimed Gregory holding the laser tag gun he obtained at the Pizzaplex. "We should all be good."

Vanessa chuckled a little. "You know, I was watching on the cameras when you won that. Gotta say, you're a good shot, kid."

Gregory and Freddy both smiled at that. They both were at least glad to have one good memory from that night. All of them were really glad now, though, that they each had a means to at least stun anything that tried to attack them. Vanessa finally unlatched the lock and opened the door. She took a deep breath and said, "Here we go."

She briskly took a few steps in. Gregory, however, was not so eager. Due to his life on the streets, he knew how to put on a brave face, but thinking back to the night at the Pizzaplex still had him on edge. Freddy, however, could always sense anxiety from a child, and knew how to deal with it. It was in his programming after all. As he'd done for so many children before, he put his hand on the boy's shoulder and said calmly, "I've got your back, Superstar."

Gregory held his chin up once again and raced to catch up with Vanessa, Freddy behind him the whole time.

After clearing the atrium, the trio were greeted with a large dining area. Like so many other Fazbear locations there were long tables that seemed to be meant to accommodate a party, and they had white table cloths with a confetti pattern. The flooring was 80's style patterned carpeting leading all the way until just before the stage, which changed to black and white tile. There were several doors at the end of the room. One on the left seemed to lead into the kitchen, while two on the right seemed to be business offices and maintenance closets. There was a final large door at the center of the stage, which still appeared to have instruments from when the animatronics performed. The stage was covered in boxes and crates aside from that.

The whole place appeared to be frozen in time, but a reminder of what era this was arose when the group noticed what appeared to be S.T.A.F.F. bots from the Pizzaplex scattered at points on the floor. Gregory recognized some of the ones he had seen that were vandalized, with their normally blank faces replaced with a crudely-drawn smile. They still seemed like they could jump up and grab him at any time, but he knew he had to press on.

Vanessa surveyed the room with her flashlight, seemingly looking for any movement, and seeming satisfied that there was none, she turned to look at the two behind her.

"So… where do we start?" asked Gregory.

She pondered for a moment. "Well, the business offices were downstairs for the most part. They were used for animatronics maintenance before they were converted, so that's probably the best place." She paused for a breath. "But we better take it slow. Let's just look around up here for now. There's bound to be something in the offices up here at least."

She started toward one of the doors on the right, and Gregory and Freddy followed suite.

"Just remember," she warned, "No matter what happens we stick together. You never know what—"

CRASH

The sound of glass breaking made the three of them jump out of their skins.

"What was that?!" exclaimed Gregory.

Vanessa frantically shone her flashlight around looking for the source, eventually settling on the stage. "Sounded like it came from—"

She was interrupted again as the door at the back of the stage swung open, but she couldn't see what came out because her view was obscured by the boxes. She could clearly hear footsteps though, running frantically about, and a pile of boxes on the right was knocked over in the chaos. The steps ran in the opposite direction and the group saw a shadow diving behind a crate. The crate then adjusted itself slightly, but even when it stopped moving, heavy, strained breathing could be heard behind it. Notably, it didn't sound like it was coming from something organic.

Gregory was petrified, and Freddy was already holding him in a protective stance. Vanessa, however, readied herself, laying a hand on her taser. She raised a finger to her lips turning to the two behind her and motioned them to follow her, slowly. As they neared the crate, the breathing seemed to intensify, as if whatever was there was afraid. Vanessa finally motioned for the two to stop and continued on her own.

When she finally went on the stage and approached the crate, she carefully grabbed it with both hands, and in one swift motion, she threw it out of the way and grabbed her stun gun.

"AAAHHH, DON'T EAT ME!" A child-like voice emerged from the entity behind the crate. "Wait, you're human!"

Vanessa finally shone her flashlight on the entity, and what she saw was shocking. There, with a shocked expression and hands protecting her center was an animatronic, but not one that any of the trio had seen before. She appeared to be wearing a frilly pink dress with a large bow on the side, and puffy sleeves. There was a bow matching the dress on her head, but she wore no other clothing. The rest of her casing was white, and she appeared to be designed in the image of a mouse. Her ears were visible on each side of the bow on her head, a tail was coming from the backside of the dress, and she had a short snout with a pink nose. Both her eyes and her nails were the same shade of pink as her dress, but the most striking thing about her was she was only 5 feet tall where other animatronics were around 7-8 feet.

She looked like she was fresh off the assembly line, so what was she doing here? This new animatronic jumped up.

"Thank goodness," she squealed, "they sent someone to get me. There was bound to be some mistake. Where even am I?" She turned to Vanessa. "Come to think of it, who are you?"

The former guard was still trying to process what she just witnessed. "I-I'm Vanessa? … More importantly, who are you?"

"Oh, jeez, I'm sorry, totally forgot my manners," stammered the mouse attempting to put on a pretty face. "I'm Fifi Fieldmouse, singer, dancer, entertainer extraordinaire. Though this doesn't look like a stage I'd want to perform on, hehe."

Freddy and Gregory just looked at each other questionably as this was going on, while Vanessa just stood there stunned. The mouse went on, "Seriously, though, where am I?"

Gregory was the first to speak here. "You mean you really don't know?"

"No, I don't" replied Fifi turning to him, "The last thing I remember, I was about to be shipped off to Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex. They were just running some diagnostics on me. Next thing I know, I'm in the basement here."

Freddy's jaw dropped. He hadn't been informed about a new character at the Pizzaplex, but then again, with what happened in the past month, why would he be?

"Wait!" exclaimed Fifi, turning to the bear, "I just realized you're the Glamrock Freddy model from over there! What are you doing here?"

She didn't know. Freddy instantly wondered how long she'd been here. Reluctantly he spoke, "It is…kind of a long story."

Just then, there was a loud 'thud' that seemed to come from the door behind them and all attention was drawn to it. Fifi immediately went into another panic. "I-I-It can wait," she stuttered. "We've got to get out of here. There's monsters in here! I was just chased up here before you found me!"

Vanessa immediately went on the defensive, "Did you get a good look at what it was?"

"Well, no, it was dark!" the mouse retorted. "Wait, what are you doing? You're not gonna fight it are you?"

"We don't have a choice," said Gregory immediately appearing beside her. "It's how we're going to get what we came here for."

Fifi was incensed, "What do you mean what you came here for?! You didn't come for—"

"Shhh!" Freddy exclaimed, covering her mouth, "I think I hear something."

Sure enough, there seemed to be a low but sinister sounding laugh coming from the other side of the door. They all looked at the door with a sense of fear and morbid curiosity. How crazy was this going to get? Vanessa slowly walked up to the door and grabbed the handle and Gregory went beside her. Quietly she turned it and in one motion…opened the door. The laughing stopped all at once, but nothing was there it seemed. A few seconds passed by with nothing, and Vanessa shone her light around the hallway in front of them. Confirming there was nothing, she was about to turn away when…

"AHOY THERE, MATIES!"

An old animatronic fox with razor sharp teeth and an eyepatch suddenly appeared and grabbed Gregory, bringing him close and covering his mouth with his hand. Vanessa went for her taser, but was also interrupted when two metallic hands grabbed her from behind, covering her mouth as well. She was moved so she could see that Freddy and Fifi were also being silenced by a tall figure shrouded in darkness. 'I knew I had a bad feeling about this,' thought the former guard. 'We're really in for it now!'

"Blow me down!" exclaimed the fox. "Wasn't expectin' guests. What's say we all go down for a friendly chat, shall we?"

Gregory and company were all dragged down the hall by these ominous figures. The hall was short, mainly containing alternate entrances to the rooms seen in the dining area, but now Gregory could see that there was a light peeking through the door at the end of the hall. Gregory didn't know what it was, but he sure knew he didn't want to go in there. Unfortunately for him, the animatronic that had hold of him was moving at the quickest pace, despite his struggling.

When they reached the door, it opened to reveal an illuminated stairwell, and the fox took Gregory down to the bottom level. There was a foyer at the bottom and Gregory's head was forced to look ahead at the very last thing he wanted to see now. There, sitting in the corner of the room, in all his glittery glory, was the animatronic Daycare Attendant from the Pizzaplex. Thankfully, though, he seemed to only be in his manic Sun form rather than his murderous Moon persona. Good thing the lights were ON.

The boy still was mortified, however, when the jester-like figure finally noticed him and stood up indignantly. "You!" it exclaimed loudly. "Rulebreaker! Rulebreaker! What are you doing here?! Gonna destroy a whole other building with your troublemaking? Huh?! You are, aren't you?!"

"Ah, shut up, ya loony bilge rat," yelled the fox smacking him in the face. "I probably scared the lad enough already with me little introduction. He don't need you gettin' in his face."

The fox carried Gregory over to the crate Sun was sitting on and sat the boy down on it while keeping his mouth covered.

"Now listen carefully, lad," he said "I'm gonna uncover your mouth, but when I do, I don't want you to freak out on me. That wasn't the best introduction, I admit, but we got stuff to explain. I just want you to sit here calmly, and listen to what we gotta say. Understand?"

Gregory vehemently nodded, and the fox did as he said he would. Then the boy pulled up his Fazerblaster and pointed it right at the animatronic's unpatched eye, much to his surprise.

"You got five seconds to start talking, or I blast you and get my friends out of here!" Gregory threatened.

"Hey, hey, there's no need for that, kid!" said a voice in a slight New York accent. "They're right here, don't worry."

Gregory turned his attention to the stairs to see the rest of his group being held by two other animatronics. One resembled a blue rabbit and appeared to be wearing western style clothes with a big yellow star on his chest; he was holding Vanessa. The other was a chicken resembling Glamrock Chica from the Pizzaplex, but with slightly wider shoulders and what appeared to be a speaker on her chest; she had Freddy and Fifi. They had panicked looks on their faces as Gregory looked at them.

"We're going to let them go, okay?" said the 'pseudo' Chica in a high but calming voice. "Just put that thing down."

Gregory stared back and forth at the fox and the others dubiously, until finally, he reluctantly lowered his weapon, and his friends were released.

"See there, lad?" said the fox. "We're not gonna hurt ya."

"Wait a minute!" Freddy finally said after taking a moment to get his bearings. "Bonnie?"

He had only seen the rabbit from the back before, so he thought he might have been his decommissioned friend from the Pizzaplex. But when the bear finally saw his face, he didn't recognize it.

"Yeah, mac, I'm Bonnie," this rabbit said, "but from the look of it, probably not yours."

Freddy turned to 'Chica' for confirmation, and saw that she was different, too. Disappointment was evident on his face as he breathed "Oh."

Vanessa was quick to react, as she knew the bear was still sentimental. "Hey, it's okay," she said, "Maybe these guys know something that can help us. You're good with people Freddy; maybe we can make some good friends her—"

"I'M SORRY, BUT CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT'S GOING ON!?" yelled Fifi. Clearly, she was the most confused out of the lot. "Where am I? What am I doing here? Who is literally everyone here? Why does your hand taste like pizza? (She pointed at 'Chica' as she said this.) But most importantly, is somebody going to take me to the Mega Pizzaplex?!"

The room went silent. The humans in the room had astonished looks on their faces, and Freddy cast down his eyes. Vanessa was the first to speak, "You really don't know, do you?"

"Know what?" said the mouse in exasperation. What did she just say twenty seconds ago?

Freddy chimed in reluctantly, "Um, Fifi, was it? You will… not be going to the Mega Pizzaplex. Something happened over there and…it was destroyed in a fire."

The mouse looked like she was stabbed in the chest. "Wha…What?"

"Yeah, the fire thing was kind of my fault by the way," said Gregory cringing, "But long story short, somebody was messing with the animatronics over there, and it all happened when I tried to stop them."

Fifi just stared at the boy. She looked like she was about to cry. "But…But that was going to be my debut. I was so looking forward to it, I…I—"

"I'm sorry, okay?" he said, "It's just that a lot happened in there, everything was after me, and…it was just a crazy situation. If Freddy hadn't been there, I probably wouldn't have made it out alive."

Freddy stepped in to diffuse the situation. "I know it wasn't your fault, Superstar. I just wish we could have found a better way to stop it. Especially now that we have found you Fifi."

For once, the mouse didn't say anything, and she hung her head glumly.

Suddenly, the fox animatronic laughed a hearty laugh. "So, you're the one that caused all that, are ya, lad? Then I suppose introductions are in order." He gave a short bow. "Foxy the Pirate, at yer service. And you are?"

The boy gulped as he noticed the hand that was pointing at him was a hook. "Um…I'm Gregory."

Foxy seemed satisfied. "Pleased to meet ya, son." He continued with introductions by turning to Sun. "Now I believe you'll likely know that landlubber over there since you have been to the Pizzaplex."

"Yeah," Gregory said as he squirmed, "and we're not really on great terms."

"Come on, now," the jester retorted. "You know I won't hurt you, so long as you KEEP. THE LIGHTS. ON!"

"Yeah, yeah, just stay in here and you'll be fine," Foxy retorted, and he turned his attention to the stairs. "Now then, these two here are Rockstar Bonnie and Funtime Chica. Couple of the older models of those two before them ones that were sent to the Pizzaplex."

The two in question nodded their heads and gave their greetings.

"Older models?" said Fifi questioningly. "I thought we were just using the newer ones. The older ones were supposed to be…" She trailed off as the realization dawned on her. "Wait! You don't mean—"

"That's right, lass," the pirate said as he turned to her, "You've found yourself in the old Fredbear's Family Diner. Welcome to the scrap heap."

The mouse was mortified. All that maintenance she had to go through, the fine tuning, the rehearsals, the marketing licenses. All of it was for nothing if she'd wound up here. 'What am I gonna do now?'

"So basically, you're saying that everything mechanical from the Pizzaplex was brought here?" asked Freddy.

"It's still being brought in, mac," said Bonnie with a chuckle. "The animatronics were brought in first, but the real work is with them S.T.A.F.F. bots. They keep bringing 'em in by the truckload."

"Are any of them still functional?" asked Vanessa.

"Well, the animatronics might be," said Funtime Chica, "but it's a hit or miss with those bots. Though at least one seems to be working properly."

"What do you mean?" asked Gregory, but his question was unpleasantly answered with the sudden presence of a certain bespectacled S.T.A.F.F. bot, and the greeting of "Hi, please take this map. Take a map"

The boy's look of panic quickly turned to annoyance. "Really?" he asked incredulously.

Foxy scratched the back of his head. "Sorry. I locked him up in the maintenance closet before you came in. I don't know how he keeps getting out of there."

Vanessa finally decided to step in. "Well look, were getting past the point, here! We came here to find out what the deal is with one of this company's founders. William Afton. Heard of him?"

The room went silent again, and Foxy with a rather bold look on his face stepped forward. "Aye, we know of him, but what precisely is your business with him?"

She breathed. "My name is Vanessa Afton. I was his adopted daughter, and he made me do a lot of things I regret. I just want to set things right."

The fox smiled, "So you're just like us, then. Someone sick of being used as his pawn." He turned to Gregory. "Well then, the plan was supposed to be to convince you scallywags to leave, but now that you've shown your hand, I think we're gonna help you."

"How?" asked the boy.

"I'm just about certain there is some interesting information in the business offices on this second floor regarding Afton, but we don't know where it all is. I do know a good place you can start looking, though. Take the map from the bot there, and I'll mark it for ya."

Gregory turned to the map bot and finally noticed the map it was holding was not from the Pizzaplex. It was pure white save for the diner logo on the front. Dubiously, the boy took the map, and the bot responded "Thank you, please enjoy."

The orphan handed the map to Foxy and he set it down on the crate to mark it with a pen. "This map was for employees that needed to navigate down here," he explained. "You'll find this place is a lot bigger than it looks up here, but I'll tell you right now, don't go to the bottom level. It'll be dangerous enough up here, but down there is a whole 'nother ball game, lad."

Fifi vehemently interjected, "Okay, no. No, no, no, no, no. Danger? Not a fan of that. Why would any of you risk getting hurt to find stuff about some weird guy that's probably dead by now. Not risking it, sorry. I gotta find out how—"

"Because this guy could be putting people in a lot more danger," replied Vanessa. "I don't know how he did it, but long story short he came back from the dead as code, and he's the reason the Pizzaplex got hijacked." She turned to the mouse pointedly. "Now look, you can leave if you want to and risk the company finding you and throwing you in here again, or you can try to help us too. We might need more help than we have here anyway."

Fifi wished she could say that she understood everything now, but in reality, she was more confused than ever. She just woke up an hour ago to these same animatronics in here working on her and acting all weird, and now she's finding out the founders of Fazbear Entertainment were doing something that could hurt people? Clearly, she wasn't going to get anywhere by going to a corporate office, and without the Pizzaplex, where would she go after that? She realized she didn't have much of a choice here.

She sighed. "Alright, fine. Just…don't get hurt, okay?"

Vanessa smiled. "We'll try."

The tension in the room began to fade, and Gregory turned to Foxy. "Okay, where do we go from here?"

The fox turned to his left. "Right through that door, lad."

A/N And I'm stopping this chapter here. I might be teasing you guys a lot with this, so try not to be too upset. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this one, it was a bit longer than the ones before, but I had a lot I wanted to pack in. Also, please let me know how you feel about Fifi. I wanted my OC to kind of be an outsider to this situation, but also bring in a few laughs to. Plus, I have big plans for her later on in the plot. That's enough for now. Follow this story and leave a review if you can. It will really help a lot. Thanks again.
