A/N Hello everybody, and Happy Father's Day! Welcome to the first part of the aftermath of Night 3. That's right, I'm doing two of these this time. The reason being that I feel like Roxy's introduction to the group is going to take quite a bit more focus than the previous aftermaths have been covering. Two chapters of this material just felt like the right way to go so I can really get down to what I want her relationship with the group to be. I've been excited for these, too, so I really hope you like them. But enough of me, let's roll!

Roxy wound up crying the whole drive back to the house. She just couldn't stop herself after realizing what she had done to Gregory. She was supposed to be a winner. She was supposed to make every kid she met feel like a winner, because nobody likes a loser. But now, she had become something much worse than a loser…She was a monster. She let her mind get twisted to the point where she didn't know right from wrong anymore and wound up hurting a scared little kid. It didn't even matter that it was considerably little damage; just the fact that she did it tore her apart. How was she going to live with herself after this?

Conversation among the others was minimal at best as well. They all just sat, watched, and listened as the shattered wolf kept sobbing away, curled up in a fetal position in the backseat. No one really knew what to say to her, so they didn't say anything.

Gregory, though, who was sitting between her and Fifi, just contemplated everything he had seen up until this point as he looked at her. To think, the same crazed, self-centered animatronic that tried to rip him to pieces just one month ago was now sitting next to him crying. Broken, sad, and maybe even a little afraid. He knew if things had turned out differently at the Pizzaplex, they wouldn't even be in this situation, but that's why he brought her with them. To make up for it. And he felt that if he could help her in this state, he could help anyone.

Still, he began to feel a bit of the relief that everyone else felt when they pulled into the driveway at the house. After shutting off the engine, Vanessa turned around in her seat.

"Okay, we're here," she called out. "Uhh…Roxy, could you get the door?"

The wolf straightened up and took a deep breath. After a few more seconds, she did as she was told and opened the back door. As she stepped out onto the pavement, Gregory was quick to follow, even forgetting himself and putting weight on his bad arm as he got up. He swiftly made his way in front of her and grabbed her hand again.

"Come on," he said softly, "this way."

"Slow down a minute, kid!" said Vanessa as she hopped out. "Let me take a look at that shoulder before—"

"No!" he bit back. "I want Roxy taken care of first. She needs it more than me."

As if he was never interrupted, he continued to lead the blind wolf to the front door, and Vanessa just looked on, shaking her head as they went. That kid was just so bull-headed sometimes…but at least he meant well. Then she noticed Fifi finally step out of the backseat with a concerned look on her face. She seemed to be keenly watching the ones that stepped out before her.

"Still a little scared after what you saw before?" the blonde asked.

Fifi acted like she came out of a trance. "Well, no, I just…Is that really Roxanne Wolf? They told me she would be tough…confident…sure of herself. But she's been putting herself down since we brought her with us. Why does she seem so sad and…scared now?"

Vanessa sighed. "Fifi, you have to realize, she's been stuck in there for a month. Dealing with what she had to deal with for that long changes people. I can only imagine what she's been through. I don't envy her…Plus, I know her a bit more than you do, and let me tell you, she's never been as confident as she made herself look…Don't worry though. I think we can help her now."

She gave the mouse a small smile and went to follow Freddy as he walked by. Fifi once again stared as the former guard walked off. The way she talked about Roxy…it was almost like she was describing another human. But then again, Fifi realized she'd been acting close to human, too. She wondered why, and if she could experience the same thing Vanessa was talking about. Though she kept these things in her mind, she followed the rest of the group, still willing to help how she can.

After Vanessa finally opened the door, Gregory carefully led Roxy toward the basement.

"There are stairs here," he warned. "We're just gonna go straight down, okay?"

She tensed when she heard this, almost pulling her hand back, but the boy held on.

"It's okay," he comforted. "Nothing's going to happen. You're safe here."

Reluctantly, the wolf followed his lead down the stairs. He coaxed her on down the hallway until finally reaching Henry's room. Gregory opened the door slightly and turned on the light, and the monitor on the fabricator came to life with that familiar blue screen.

"How was your night, Gregory?" Henry's voice asked.

"Good, all things considered," he replied, "but it looks like you've got some work to do."

He opened the door fully revealing the worn-down animatronic behind it. He grabbed her again and led her in. When Henry saw her, it was like the wind was knocked out of him.

"Ohhh…" he grunted sympathetically, "…I suppose I do, don't I? You poor thing…"

"Roxy," Gregory interjected, "this is Henry. He's going to fix you up, okay?"

She said nothing, but followed his lead. She seemed to be shaking a little. The others had come down at this point and stood in the doorway behind them. They watched intently.

"I take it my antivirus worked well?" Henry asked.

"Actually," Gregory said, "we didn't get a chance to use it. It, uh, got destroyed before we could put it in her…She saved me from Baby, though."

Roxy turned to him curiously, but still said nothing.

"I see," said Henry, "Good thing I will be doing diagnostics scanning first. I should be able to take care of things easily. Now, Roxy, there's a maintenance seat in front of you. Would you care to sit down for me?"

The wolf reached out in front of her and could feel the metal chair. It was unclear why, but she started shaking even more. She pulled her hand back and whimpered a little.

"Roxy, it's okay," Gregory said, grabbing her arm again. "He's not going to hurt you, I promise. Listen, Afton had a virus downloaded onto you, and that's what's been affecting you lately. Henry knows how to get rid of it…He's just going to fix you, that's all."

She hesitated a moment, but finally felt around and crawled into a sitting position on the chair, looking more uncomfortable than ever. When the chair started moving, she started breathing more heavily. That's when the rest of the group came in to observe, and Gregory turned to Freddy wearing a concerned look.

"I…I didn't do anything wrong, did I?" the boy asked.

"Not at all," his friend replied. "It's just…Roxy was…never a fan of maintenance."

The chair stopped moving once Roxy was in a lying flat, and a small, dark sphere was lowered into view. A line of blue light that appeared above her head and gradually traveled down her body indicated that this must be the scanning device. Fifi in particular watched this process with wide eyes, partially in awe of the technology she was seeing before her, but also out of concern for the one that was being subjected to it. Vanessa put a hand on the mouse's shoulder to comfort her, but her eyes remained glued to the scene in front of her.

Once the beam of light passed over Roxy's body a second time, the chair began to return to its original position.

"Scan complete," came Henry's voice from the monitor. "…Huh. That's strange."

"What's the matter?" asked Vanessa.

"Gregory," he continued, "you said the drive with the antivirus was destroyed before you could give it to Roxy, correct?"

"Yeah," the boy replied. "Why? What's going on?"

Henry paused for a moment. "It's…It's gone! The virus is completely gone!"

"What?!" Fifi exclaimed.

"Are you sure?" Freddy asked.

"I'm positive," Henry said. "I know precisely how William designed this virus to work. I'm looking at the main area of her system that it should be attacking and…there's nothing. Just a few new lines of code. It's almost as if…her A.I. recognized there was an issue and…removed it. I had no idea our technology had gotten that advanced, if that's the case."

Now it was Vanessa's turn to get wide-eyed. "I didn't know either."

The blonde had to admit that the technological innovations of this company were something to behold. She knew the A.I. in the new animatronics was heavily advanced, but she hadn't expected something like this. This whole escapade had proven to her that there are limits for how far technology can be taken, but at least some good had come from breaking them, this time. Maybe Gregory was right all along when he wanted to give Roxy the chance to help them.

"W-Well that's good, right?" Gregory asked. "We don't have to worry about the virus. We'll just fix her up and she's good to go, right?"

"I-I suppose so," said Freddy anxiously.

"Maybe," added Vanessa, "but her system will probably be weak for a while. She might be more vulnerable if something else gets into her."

"Well, I'm not gonna let that happen," said Gregory confidently. "We helped her this time; we can do it again if she needs it."

And that's when Roxy finally spoke. "…Why do you even bother?"

All eyes were on her now, and though she couldn't see any of them, she felt their stares.

"Look at me," she said in a strained voice. "Look at what my stupidity led to. Everything I've ever had is gone, and I lost myself in a pointless attempt to get it back. I don't deserve to be fixed, not after what I've done."

Freddy had to step up at this. "Roxy," he said, "I cannot understand this! You were always so sure of yourself before. Why are you saying such awful things about yourself now?"

"Because, I'm a MONSTER!" she suddenly roared out. "I'm supposed to be the best! I'm supposed to be the one that builds kids up. Makes them feel like winners! But I can't even do that anymore! Look what happened! I'm not supposed to hurt anyone, but I threw a kid around like a ragdoll without a second thought. A KID, FREDDY! All because I let the words of some psycho get in my head!"

She was beginning to sob again. "W-Why couldn't I stop myself…"

Gregory then rushed up next to her.

"But you did stop yourself!" he asked pointedly. "You could have creamed me back there, but when you realized what was going on, you helped me. And it helped you, too! I know it! Didn't you hear what Henry just said? You're the one who got rid of Afton's virus, because you realized something was wrong. I didn't do that. Henry didn't do that. You did!"

The wolf shook her head. "I know, but…if I stopped myself from getting that virus in the first place—"

"Roxy, stop that!" Vanessa chimed in. "That wasn't your fault, and you know it! If anything, it was mine. Vanny was probably the one who started the whole thing, and she knew how to work around everything I did to keep things in line. She manipulated me, too, and I let her by with things I knew I shouldn't have. I was a terrible night guard, and now everyone's paying the price for it. But what's done is done, and there's nothing anyone can do about it. So don't blame yourself for something that's out of your control!"

Gregory had to look at the blonde for a moment as she said this. He knew she had a lot of baggage with everything she's been dealing with, but he couldn't imagine what dealing with Vanny alone would have done to her. Knowing your own creation would reject you for some shot at glory must have been a burden on her. They'd probably have to talk about that later.

"It doesn't matter if it was out of my control!" Roxy continued. "I know I still could have stopped it before that night even began. But so much was happening that day, and there were some negative comments. And I kept letting it get to my head. Like I always do! I could have figured out what was happening if I kept my head on straight!"

"Roxy, you know you could have talked to us if you were having a bad day," Freddy said. "Besides, none of us knew what was going on. How could you have known?"

"I don't know, I just could have!" she shot back, inconsolable. "I knew what I was doing that night was wrong. If I'd stopped myself then, none of this would have happened. And I wouldn't have…"

This was when the wolf really began to sob. She just couldn't deal with what she had done, even if it was small. Regardless, Gregory felt he had to press on, and he tightened his grip on her hand.

"Roxy, don't worry about what you did to me," he said, "I'll heal up and I'll be fine. I don't blame you at all for this. Not anymore. So don't worry about what you could have done."

"…B-But look at what I did do, Gregory," she retorted. "Your arm's probably broken! And you just said I could've done worse. You know what I'm capable of doing! Why do you still want to forgive me?!"

"Well, why don't you want to be forgiven?" he barked back. "Why do you keep pushing us away when we just want to help you?!"

"How many times do I have to say it? I DON'T DESERVE IT!" she screamed. "It doesn't matter if it was Afton controlling me or the bad night I had before or whatever other excuse there is! I still let myself hurt you! And the worst part of it is…I wanted to.

"I didn't care that it was against my programming. I didn't care that it was over something you had to do. I didn't even care about it being wrong. I just wanted to hurt you, Gregory. I really did…I think I even wanted to kill you…How could anyone want that?"

Her sobbing grew more and more intense. Gregory looked at her as she wept and finally took in that she had more damage that what was showing on the outside. He wasn't going to stand for it anymore. Still working through the pain on his shoulder, he climbed into Roxy's lap, and her sobbing ceased when she felt him on her legs.

"…I wanted to hurt you, too," he said plainly. "When I found my way into the Pizzaplex, I thought I had it made. For once, I thought I found a place where I could just be a kid. No running away, no more sleeping on the street, just endless fun. But that night, when everyone was hunting me down, it felt just like everywhere else I've been. I was angry and sad that I hadn't actually found a home…and since you and the other Glamrocks were chasing me, I wanted to take it out on you.

"Freddy wanted me to try and help you all, but I didn't listen. I thought you were all just a bunch of mindless robots trying to kill me, so I didn't think what I did would matter. But then, after it was over, I remembered you crying and started wondering if I was wrong. And seeing you now…it sucks, because now I know what I should have done…We're in the same boat, Roxy."

It almost sounded like he was whimpering at that last sentence. Roxy reached up and found his face, and her suspicions were confirmed when she felt some dampness under his eye.

"You…You're homeless?" she squeaked out.

He grabbed her wrist. "I…I'm an orphan."

She didn't realize she had stopped crying when Gregory started his speech, but she felt that she was about to start again right after she heard this. What solidified the feeling, though, was when the boy swiftly wrapped his arms around her and started weeping himself. She could hold it in no more and threw her arms around him as well. For a while, both of them were laying in the chair holding each other tight, Roxy softly whimpering "I'm sorry" in between sobs.

The others were all just staring as this unfolded. By this point, Fifi's face had shifted from concern to curiosity, and she wondered how things could turn around for these two after everything that's happened. 'He really is so brave' she thought.

Freddy watched with his mouth open. He couldn't believe it. Two of his best friends in the world, making up after hating each other for so long. He felt like jumping out of his casing! He turned to Vanessa, who turned to him with a big grin on her face. She confirmed wordlessly that what he was seeing was real, and he soon looked back with a grin of his own.

After a few moments, the tears finally ceased, and Gregory pulled away from Roxy.

"No one's perfect, Roxy," he said. "We've all done things we're not proud of. But what we did to each other is in the past now. We don't have to dwell on it anymore. So, let's try to change things for the better. You do deserve it."

The wolf finally gave a crooked smile. "I appreciate that, kid…but let's be honest, I think you're the only one that thinks so. No one cares about me anymore."

"Wrong!" Vanessa's voice came out. They both turned to face her.

"I don't remember comparing you to Foxy like you said I did," the blonde continued, "but I did think you needed a bit of a kick in the pants to get your face out of that mirror. That doesn't mean I didn't care, though. No one should have to go through what you have in the past month, but you can still come out of it a better person. Now that I see I can help with that, why would I pass up that opportunity?"

"Vanessa…" Roxy breathed, amazed.

"I won't pass it up, either," Freddy added. "You know I always cared about you and the others. Despite what William has done to you, that will never change. And I am so proud that you stopped yourself from hurting Gregory. That is so much more like the Roxy I used to know, and…I'm just so happy to see you again."

That got a laugh out of the wolf. That big lug never changes. "Oh Freddy…" she sighed.

Then she felt her left hand being grabbed, but it didn't feel like Gregory. The boy had seen her reaction, though, and turned to see Fifi holding onto the wolf's hand, positively beaming.

"I guess I haven't properly introduced myself," the mouse said. "I'm Fifi Fieldmouse. I was supposed to join you guys at the Pizzaplex. Obviously, that didn't work out, but…I think we can still be friends."

Roxy felt around with her hand after this greeting, taking note of how small this animatronic was. Strange. But she pushed those thoughts aside and offered a handshake.

"Nice to meet you," she said calmly.

"The pleasure's mine," Fifi responded, returning the handshake.

"See there?" said Gregory. "You got four people that care about you now."

"Make that five," Henry chimed in. "William may have torn you down, but I know how to build you up."

"Heh, heh. I think we could all do that, Henry," the boy said. Then he turned back to Roxy. "Well, what do you think? Does that sound like a pretty good deal?"

She hesitated a moment, but slowly nodded. "…Yes."

He smiled. "No more complaining, then. Okay?"

"…Okay."

And with that, he finally stepped off of her lap, but he clutched his arm because it was still hurting. Vanessa stepped up behind him.

"We'll just leave you to it, then, Henry," she said, then she turned to Gregory. "And we're looking at that shoulder."

"We will come to help Vanessa," Freddy suggested. "Especially since you seem as though you've gotten in a bit of a brawl as well."

The blonde took note of her still disheveled appearance. "You would not believe what I have been through, tonight."

This earned a giggle from both Fifi and Roxy, and everyone except for the wolf turned to go, Vanessa pulling Gregory along by his good hand.

"See you in a bit, Roxy!" the orphan called behind him, and the sound of the door shutting confirmed they were gone.

Roxy laid back uncomfortably in the chair once again when she was alone and braced herself as she felt it rise and tilt back again.

"I'm not going to lie, this may take quite a while," Henry's voice explained. "We should be able to get through it rather easily, though, if you just stay in rest mode the whole time. Vanessa's kept this thing stocked up well. You'll come out much better at the end of it. I promise."

"Am I really that banged up?" the wolf asked, even though she knew the answer.

"Don't worry, I've fixed a lot worse. I was expecting a great amount of damage from the go-cart incident, but it seems there's some impact to your wiring as well…I'm assuming you've been through quite a few 'controlled shocks' in the past month?"

She nodded "…More than I want to admit. Baby sure seemed to get a kick out of it."

"…I see. She was the one watching over you directly, then? Not William?"

"Yeah…I just wish I knew what the deal was. With any of them, really. I wish I hadn't been so drawn in by what they said to me."

"…That was always one talent William had," Henry continued. "He knew how to twist minds into doing what he wanted. He would use both his words and his actions to coax you into doing what he wanted and berate you for going against it. I'd hoped this trait wouldn't carry down his family line, but from what you've told me, it sadly seems like it has."

Roxy tilted her head slightly. "What do you mean?"

"I think your friends will be able to explain it more. For now, just know this. William used the same tricks he always has to blind you, not just literally, but also emotionally. I've seen the blueprints for your eyes, Roxy, and they are indeed technical marvels. But even if you had kept them, he and so many others know how to cloud your eyes from the truth. About the world, about the people around you, even about yourself. Now, since I have these blueprints here, I'm going to recreate the eyes you lost, and they'll have all the same functions as before. But just remember once you have them, that the world will look so much more different than before if you look at it with unclouded eyes."

Roxy just laid there a moment taking in everything he just said. Could she really look at things that way once she had her eyes back? What if she's disappointed by what she sees? But then she decided she was going to try. She wouldn't know for certain if she didn't.

"Now if you'll go ahead and enter rest mode, I'll get started," said Henry.

So, she did as she was told, and Henry set to work.

A/N Some of you eagle-eyed readers may have noticed that last speech I gave Henry was similar to a speech in one of the Avatar: The Last Airbender comics (I also do not own those, by the way). I will say right out that I did take inspiration from that speech for this one, because the themes it presented seemed to fit right into Roxy's character for me. It seemed like something, especially given her situation, that she needed to hear. I did my best make an original speech with similar themes for this story, so I hope you enjoyed it, and I sincerely hope you all enjoyed this chapter as a whole.

Now for a brief announcement. I will not be posting next week, as I will be going on vacation with my family. It's been taking about a week for me to write each chapter for this story, and I will not have that time this coming week. When I get back, though, I'll have the next chapter out as soon as I can, so please be patient with me. As always, though, make sure to leave a review if you can, and I hope you liked this chapter. Have a good day, and Happy Father's Day once again.
