Matt watched as the game finally ended and took a deep breath before checking his medal list. He had finally got the last medal that he needed and could now rest for a while. That's when he noticed that something was off. In one of the spots, he saw that the medal for beating an enemy called the Beholder on Epic difficulty was missing. "Aw man, you've got to be kidding me," said Matt.

"I haven't taken out that disgusting creature on Epic."

Sighing, the boy went through the cutscenes and headed to one of his older save files. "Well, time to do this."

Hours Later…

Matt was doing his math practice exams. While he already finished most of his finals, he still had to practice and make sure his skills didn't get rusty. His brother on the other hand was working hard on his weekend homework. There were still two weeks left of school and anything could happen.

"I'm bored. Can I borrow that console of yours?" asked Matt's bro.

"No," answered Matt.

"Oh come on, you're not even using it right now."

"I said no." Matt remained put with his statement and continued looking at his math. "Besides, I don't even think my old NES console can hook up to your Genshin Impact."

"But you were able to modify it to run Epic Battle Fantasy on HD graphics," complained his bro. "So you can modify it to do the same thing with Genshin Impact right?"

"David, I'm not a tech wizard. I got help from the Flash Player and a friend of mine," lied Matt.

In reality, Matt really did modify it on his own using various programs online and spare computer parts that he bought using his allowance. His parents were aware of the purchases because they bought the parts and the console for him since he wasn't allowed to have another credit card after he lost his first one a few months ago. In addition, Matt managed to come in contact with a person who helped him modify the console so he could enter the games himself as long as the game he wanted to play was already installed on the computer.

However, he was warned to not hook up the console to another laptop unless two days have passed after the first laptop was linked up.

Hence if his brother wanted to play on his console using his laptop, then he would have to wait two days. Unfortunately, his brother was not a patient person.

"I want to use your console."

"I've told you no," declared Matt.

"Matt! I need you to come over here," yelled their mom.

Matt left his brother in the room and went to his mom.

"Yes mom?" asked Matt.

"Your dad and I are leaving the house for the next three weeks. I am going to your Grandma to make sure everything is alright while your dad will be on a business trip. I trust you two take care of yourself and not get into any trouble."

"Okay mom," sighed Matt.

Matt watched as his mom and dad left in their car while he disconnected his laptop from the console.

"Aww man, it's broken," sighed Matt. The computer screen was cracked and one of the hinges had completely disconnected from the computer. "Thank goodness I saved everything to my thumb drive."

Matt left the garage but soon came back with a backpack and his phone. "David! I'm going to be gone for a while. Watch over the house and don't do anything stupid!"

The blonde hair boy then took his broken laptop and left the house to his brother.

"I hope nothing will happen while I'm gone."
