Hannah tried to stay out in the sidelines for a while as she watched Claude's plan unveil. Now that he had the young master, he was one step closer to getting ultimate satisfaction: the perfect soul, or really a combination of two, but also the sweet taste of accomplishment after stealing the soul claimed by another powerful demon and watching him suffer. Although they agreed to fight for the soul through their contract, he knew that the witness would favor Sebastian and possibly allow him to cheat, but he could not allow that. He was lucky that a Reaper, a deity known for their heartlessness, had a soft spot for the late Earl Tracy. Hannah was not aware that he would actually successfully have her join their side, especially through brainwashing, but supported the decision since it would actually benefit her as well. It would make it harder for Sebastian and any other ally to harm Lilliana, meaning that she and Claude could easily attack them. Still, even though she was on their side and claimed to hate Sebastian for a false accusation, Hannah could tell there was some inkling of her old self in her wanting to break free. She could tell by looking in her eyes, which hid pain and despair behind red eyes of hatred.

However, some time after Claude and Lilliana left to investigate the "cat" causing damage outside the manor, Hannah managed to care for the young master long enough for him to wish her out of his sight. She submissively obeyed his command and left him in his study to do whatever he wished. Claude said he wanted to handle anything regarding Ciel and she and the triplets were charged with keeping the manor in mint condition until the fated day when the soul would be devoured. Of course she was angry, but she kept it in until the perfect moment. For now, she leaned against the wall near the entrance to the study and took a deep breath.

"Hannah Annafellows, is that you? I hardly recognized you!" a familiar feminine voice said from down the hallway. However, it sparked some anger in Hannah when she recognized the voice. She looked up to see who it was and sure enough, it was the blue-haired demon bitch that every demon hated, Lucille Mirasuka. She wore a dark blouse and tight-fitting slacks to match with those high heels that seemed impossible to walk in. Her hair was straight, but was noticeably shorter than before. Demons like her could change her appearance at will, but she could still be recognized by any demon.

"What do you want?" she said, trying to hold back her angry tone.

"Oh, nothing much. I'm just surprised a demon like you would stoop so low as to being a maid for another demon. I would understand those triplet fellows, but not you, my dear Hannah. You never took shit from anyone and here you are."

"Quiet," she nearly yelled, but she didn't want to alarm the young master in the nearby room.

Lucille chuckled. "You've grown soft. It's sad, really, but I guess it happens to the best of us. Still, hard to believe that a demon who is, or should I say, was as powerful as you because of that demon sword of yours would become nothing more than a sheath for another demon's use." Hannah only glared at her, making Lucille smirk. "Unless you're planning something behind his back?"

Hannah loosened her tense expression and said, "In time."

"Well, if I were you, I would get to it. After all, Claude is in a lot of trouble for breaking the contract between him and Sebastian."

She looked at her confused. "But wasn't their arrangement to—,"

"I know what the agreement was. Trust me, nothing gets passed me, but there is another clause that both demons must obey: do not harm the witness." Hannah's visible eye widened. "And true, he didn't exactly physically harm her, but he did psychologically and that is enough to make their contract void and that's a serious crime. There is a reason why demons don't make deals with other demons."

"So you're saying that Claude will-," Hannah said in a concerned voice.

"He would be put to death," Lucille said with a sadistic grin. "And I'm sad to say that the punishment goes for you as well since you are under his control, correct?"

Hannah didn't know what to say. She couldn't just say no since all the evidence would say otherwise. She couldn't just say yes since she wasn't really loyal to him from the very start. "And the triplets?"

"Let's just say that my favorite butler took care of them." Hannah felt her heart break hearing that, but being a demon, especially in front of the very offspring of Lucifer, she had to look indifferent. "I know it must be sad to hear about your loyal minions, but don't worry, you should be joining them soon."

"Is there any way I can escape this sentence?" Hannah said as calmly as she could. She wasn't afraid of death, but she surely didn't want to die before her plan was yet fulfilled.

Lucille pondered a bit and said, "There is one way, but it won't guarantee full redemption." Hannah listened carefully as she continued, "If you can dispose of Claude Faustus yourself, then there is a way to lessen your sentence. Lucky for you, you possess the very thing that can kill him, but the real question is if you are going to use it."

"Well, I don't necessarily have it. He handed it to-,"

"Lilliana. I'm well aware of how she was roped into this and I applaud him for his sadistic genius, but at the same time, it doesn't have to be you who kills him directly. As long as you have some influence, it'll count for you."

Suddenly, the door of the study opened and out came Ciel, who was surprised to see Hannah right there at the entrance. "Were you waiting there the entire time?"

She looked at where Lucille was and realized she had disappeared before he would be able to notice her. She sighed in relief as she said with a bow, "I awaited your next order, my lord."

"You know you don't have to be right out my door. If I need you, I'll call for you," he said as he headed outside to the garden. She smiled as she followed him out, contemplating what she was told. She had a hard time believing that she and Claude would die because he brainwashed Lilliana into doing their bidding, since they believed it was only aid to their end goal. However, Lucille wasn't the type to actually go to a demon's home to tell the news unless it was important. Then again, she was known for being a notorious liar, but she is always the first to report these kinds of things to Lucifer, who has ultimate authority on demon lives. And knowing him, he would have a soft spot for his demonic creation, Lilliana. She only had one option to be sure, which she honestly was more than happy to do, but as long as Claude had control over Lilliana, she would reluctantly protect him. Maybe there was a way to get her on her side.

It was late when Lilliana decided to rest for the night. Although she was not charged with anything strenuous, like Hannah and the triplets, she was always mentally exhausted due to her rage for both Sebastian and Claude. However, conflicting emotions kept creeping in her when she was reminded of how she used to view Sebastian. It made her sick to her stomach. She wanted all of this soul fighting to be over with as soon as possible so she could finally live her life as a free demon, like she used to when she was with Bastille. Those were happy times. Then she was reminded of his death and her rage returned.

She sighed as she laid on her bed and just stared at the ceiling. "I wonder how Hell has changed while I was gone," she wondered to herself. "It's almost been two centuries since I last—," However, she felt an uncontrollable feeling of pleasure run across her body. She hugged herself tightly as she tried to figure out what was going on, but soon, she started to see a vision. It was Sebastian, but even though her anger skyrocketed, she could do nothing, but fight this undeniable pleasure. In the vision, he approached her and kissed her, but she knew it was her old self that was in control in her subconscious since she embraced him as they kissed. She even rubbed against him to get a certain reaction out of him and he touched her body as if he would never be able to do it again. Her emotions conflicted greatly: she wanted to both kill and fuck him at the same time, but the feeling wouldn't last long. Before anything could happen, she soon felt immense pain in her chest and she knew exactly what was going on: Claude was trying to stop Sebastian from taking over her. The pain was unbearable that she eventually let out a scream of pain. Soon, she couldn't bear the pain and passed out, abruptly finishing the vision as well.

When she awoke, she noticed that Hannah was by her bedside with a bloody rag in her hand. Lilliana tried to get up, but she felt a stinging pain in her chest and soon noticed that her shirt was buttoned down, revealing Claude's mark on her, but she was covered otherwise. "You mustn't get up so quickly," Hannah said as she tried to lay her back down on the bed to finish cleaning her wound. Lilliana left out a deep breath as she reluctantly listened to Hannah, who smiled as she finished wiping the blood away. "I heard your scream and came in to help. I see he used his mark on you."

"That bastard," she said thoughtlessly. "I hate being controlled by others."

Hannah's ears perked as she asked, "What do you mean?"

"Well, I was forced into that fucking Reaper Association, then I am marked by two demons who have no right to do so. And to think I even respected one of them."

"Well, you are quite the valuable member for both demons. No wonder they want to control you," Hannah said as placed the rag in a bowl of bloody water.

"But I don't want to be controlled by a demon! It has been centuries since I was able to live freely and be able to do what I want, but these demons are holding me back from reaching that. I would give anything to be free."

Hannah held back a smirk as she said, "Anything?"

Lilliana glared at her as she said, "Don't you even think about it."

"Think of what?"

"You were going to form a contract with me. I don't want to be a walking contract for any demon to place!"

"I wasn't thinking of such a thing. In fact, I might have a way for you to no longer be in their control without forming a contract."

Lilliana eyes eyes widened as she said, "Are you serious? How?"

Hannah smiled as she said, "Pay close attention." In a few seconds, her mouth unhinged, almost like a snake and Lilliana saw something rather disturbing inside. With a closer inspection, she noticed a blue eye looking back at her, but soon, she was able to see herself, as if the eye was hers. In fact, it was hers. But how? She can't remember a time when it was blue, but it seemed so familiar to her. Lilliana was utterly disturbed by what she was seeing; she started screaming and wanted to scoot away from the sight, but could not bring herself to do it; she was paralyzed in fear. Eventually, her fear got the best of her as she passed out once more. Hannah stood up and smirked, knowing that she was so close to her goal. "First, the young master, then the knight that will protect him. All will fall into place soon," she said to herself, notching that Lilliana's hair started to lighten until it was eventually blonde.

When night fell, Claude decided to take a stroll outside in case he would find Sebastian or even the Reaper girl lurking around. Even though Ciel ordered him to stay away, he could still be right at the front door if he so wished. Luckily, the demon aesthetic was strong in demons like him, so he would never dare to disobey an order from a master, no matter how much suffering it caused him. He could, however, send the girl inside the manor to steal both him and possibly Lilliana, but that would be impossible as long as Claude controlled her. Still, he wondered if the medicine would ever wear off, especially after Sebastian's attempt to revive her old self. He was lucky he stopped it before it went too far, but one second longer and he could have risked her. As he walked out a few steps from the front door, he chuckled as he saw Sebastian trying to blend into the corner of the doorway like a spiderweb. "What a surprise. I thought you were spying from the distance, but here you are at the front entrance."

"My young master's orders were specific. He instructed me to stay out of his sight. It's certainly no violation of his orders if it's only you seeing me," Sebastian said before descending down.

"Surprising to see you not utilizing that Reaper girl you seem to have a partnership with. It is still pathetic to see the two of you together, especially when she clings to you for life."

"We may have a common goal, but far different intentions. I am only retrieving a valuable pawn and my young master," he said rather codly with subtle hint of regret.

"Why even bother with her? Win or lose, she can only be helpful for so long."

"As long as the contract binds me and my young master, it binds her as well." Claude smirked, but did not press on any further. "Now then, I came tonight to return this to you," Sebastian said as he threw the blood-soaked rose at Claude, before as it reached his stomach, Sebastian delivered a brutal punch to him and the rose, scattering he petals and sending him flying a few feet away.

"Another surprise," Claude said as he got up and camly put on his crooked spectacles. "A demon terminating a contract is a most unusual occurrence."

"I'm terminating nothing. You broke the contract first. We swore to defer our battle for the young master soul until it was fully cultivated after he had his revenge. Our agreement, witnessed by Ms. Kiliamo, was to use each other for mutual benefit until such a time. Instead, you pervert the soul we aimed for and even manipulated the witness."

"My my," Claude said as he looked at the stem of his rose. "These spider mites have discolored the leaves." As he presented the diseased rose, it seemed to turn into ash and disentrigate into the wind. "It seems it was infested all along. Such a regrettable turn of events."

"Indeed. Now both roses are dead," Sebastian said in an angry tone, almost ready to boil over.

"The contract is terminated. Now hear me well: come Hell or high water, I intend to devour Ciel Phantomhive's soul. I know now that there is much more to it than its superior taste. It goes much deeper than that," Claude said in his usual cocky tone.

"Yes, in that, you are correct. With any immortal being, we are granted eternal life. However, with so much time on our hands, we grow so weary, but my young master's life lends a certain spice to this world upon which we glut ourselves. His soul lives in darkness and yet remains unstained. It vexes us, and now it's brought us to this: a broken contract and a fight between demon and demon." Soon, the two butlers pulled out their silverware and proceeded to battle. Claude was more on the offensive side, determined to steal this soul and make Sebastian suffer.

"It's useless, the young master is mine now," he said as he threw a set of silverware to him, but Sebastian blocked it, as usual. However, he fought back as Claude ran to strike him.

"For someone who has no signed a contract with him, you're awfully confident," he said as he had a very hard time pushing him back.

"Oh I'll get it, don't you doubt it, and once I do, I won't let him go for a moment." Eventually, Claude did try to sneak attack him by stabbing him with a knife, but Sebastian pulled back before he could land a strike. "You're not strong enough to defeat me. Why not call your Reaper to assist you, but there is no doubt I can destroy her as well."

"Don't underestimate a demon huntress," Sebastian said. Claude had to fight hard to not show any worry in his expression. "Besides, you would call for Ms. Kiliamo at any hint of struggle, wouldn't you? Now who's the pathetic demon?"

He scowled, but said, "As you said, she is a valuable pawn and one look at you will kindle a rage that will never be extinguished until you are dead. Lilliana, come here." They waited a few seconds, but nothing seemed to change. Without warning, Sebastian threw his silverware at Claude, but he barely missed due to his confusion. "Lilliana!" Still nothing.

Sebastian chuckled. "It seems you don't have a tight of a grip as you thought."

However, both of their attentions were diverted when they heard a familiar voice calling, "Sebastian!" With a quick glance, they noticed that Ciel was climbing up to the top of the bell tower covered in monsterous vines. Down below seemed to be a hedge maze, but there was something otherworldly about it. As he climbed further and further, he kept calling for Sebastian, but he still had to remain out of sight due to his order.

However, Claude's cocky attitude showed itself as he said, "You're being summoned. He knows you're here. You've been seen, and not just by me and Lilliana. Such disobedience, Sebastian Michaelis. You're a disgrace to butlers everywhere." Sebastian felt immense shame; it was unfavorable for a demon of his standings to break his master's command, even if he wasn't at his right mind. Demons like him usually took advantage of people's lapse of judgement to make contracts, but he still had to obey their wishes until the contract was fulfilled.

"Sebastian help me!" Ciel yelled, catching their attention yet again. Even Claude was shocked that he would call out for Sebastian like this, especially when he was sure that Ciel hated him. "Sebastian! If you don't, I'll climb all the way up! I'll keep climbing! I swear I will. You better get here quickly, Sebastian!" Ciel kept yelling, but they noticed something very off about his behavior. One, he was smiling that sadistic smile that belonged to another young master. Despite his appearance and voice being the same as Ciel, that smile was enough to prove it was not him climbing.

"You're wrong. I have done nothing to disobey orders yet. That's not my lord," Sebastian said as he got out of hiding and walked toward Claude.

"No, it's not," he said in defeat.

"It's my lord," a female voice said from behind them. "Earl Alois Trancy." They turned around and their demon eyes flared as they saw Hannah, who was accompanied by a female companion with blonde hair and blue eyes. However, Sebastian recognized this woman. Although he never actually met this version of her, he recognized her face, which never changed no matter what being she was. However, she too had the same sadistic smile Ciel had and it made his skin crawl a bit. She even giggled a bit as she held the demon sword close to her as if it were a lover, keeping her eyes fixated on her new toys, waiting for the moment to play with them.

"Y-You didn't," Sebastian said, but Claude was equally surprised.

"No wonder she didn't obey my command," he said.

"Catch me Sebastian! I'll fall all the way down," the young lord said as loud as he could from the top of the tower.

Now what has happened to Lilliana? What is Hannah's ultimate plan? Why is Lucille still manipulating the game? Reviews are appreciated.
