Author's Note: I apologize for not uploading for so long. I wanted to see the story stats of this story before I uploaded the new chapter but I wasn't able to see them until fixed the issue. I also didn't have a lot of time because of school work. Still here's the new chapter. Chapter 10 should be up very soon.

The gang was back inside a classroom. This time though, Matt had all his weapons laid out on a table and there were a few other people watching.

"What just happened?" asked Andres.

"Darius stole one of my most strongest and deadliest swords when I wasn't looking," explained Matt. "The sword is known as Devil's Sunrise and it uses dark energy. However, whenever the sword is used, the user becomes corrupted by the energy and influence of the blade. The longer it is used, the more stronger the corruption."

"Is there a way to cure him?" asked Seth.

"Separating the sword from and then hitting him with a small amount of holy energy would work," answered Matt. "However, if the blade has been with him for more than an hour, then it is too late. The method above will not work even if a new host has been found."

"So there is no way to rescue the guy."

Matt slowly nodded and laid out the fragments of one of his swords.

"Which blade was that?" asked Edward.

"That was my rune blade," said Matt. "It's a weaker version of my Heaven's Gate but unlike Heaven's Gate, that sword has the ability to save a person corrupted by the effects of Devil's Sunrise as long as the user wasn't exposed for more than an hour."

Andres examined one of the shards before placing it back. "Can it be repaired?"

"It can," answered Matt. "However, it can't be done by any of us. It has to be done by a master and I don't know what kind."

"Did they leave any clues?" asked Alivia.

Alivia was one of the few students that remained in the classroom because it housed their club. That being said, she was exceptionally creative when it came to solving problems didn't mind sticking around to help others when they need it.

"Aside from the fact that only a master can reforge this weapon, no," answered Matt.

"Do you think you can leave that sword with us?" asked Ms. Santana.

Ms. Santana was the teacher to whom the room belonged to and the lead teacher of the club.

Matt thought about it for a moment before nodding. "It should be fine."

The team left the shattered remains on the table before continuing their discussion.

"What are we going to do now?" asked Edward. "Darius still has that sword and who knows what will happen with him out there."

"We're going to find him and then find a way to destroy that sword," answered Matt. "That way, the influence of the sword will be lost and this guy can finally be free."

"Can we really do that?" asked Seth. "We saw how durable it was. You hit it with a hammer about 5 times in a row and it never even broke."

Matt thought for a moment before he pulled out his signature blade and laid it on the table.

"This is the only sword that can counter the weapon's effects and nullify it completely," stated Matt. "Chances of this weapon also being able to destroy it is really high when we consider its abilities."

Matt put away his sword and stared at everyone surrounding him.

"I'm going to consult another friend. He'll know what to do."
