Matt and Natalie surveyed the damage done to the classroom. Several tables and chairs were broken while the large wooden gashes covered the walls. Despite all this though, everyone was fine.

"What happened?" asked Andres.

"Darius came here and attacked us."

Flashback…

Everyone in the club was working quickly to move a recently sealed chest when they heard a loud pounding at the door. Mrs. Santana unsheathed the Rune Blade as the rest of the club prepared to welcome the danger outside.

Suddenly, the door exploded off its hinges and several giant purple and black worms entered the classroom. Before any of them could make a move, the worms grabbed and pinned down every member.

"Well, well, well. Who knew that it was this easy to bypass Matt's security?"

Alivia looked up and saw Darius entering the classroom with his sword drawn. Several worms surrounded him and injected various fluids into him.

"Now where is the sword?"

"It was hidden to prevent it from being used by the likes of you!" responded a club member.

The member was then slashed by Darius' sword.

"Anyone else?"

"We'll never talk," declared Alivia.

"Very well then, I'll just have to find it myself."

Darius slashed the member and began using Devil's Sunrise to tear up the classroom in order to find the sword.

Unbeknownst to him though, Mrs. Santana managed to free herself and retrieve the Rune blade. Raising the sword, the club teacher prepared to strike the corrupt student only to be stabbed before she could make her move.

"You really should have hid this better."

Darius pulled out his sword before retrieving a large wooden box from Mrs. Santana's desk. Alannah made one last attempt to stop him but was simply pushed aside.

"Finally, it's mine."

Darius cut the box open and emptied its contents. To his shock though, the box was empty.

"Nothing? But it was there. My spies saw you all…"

"No. They didn't see everything."

Darius turned around and saw Mrs. Santana getting up while using the Rune blade as a cane.

"Not everything."

"Where is it?" demanded Darius.

"Destroyed," answered Mrs. Santana as she raised her sword. "If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. If your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. The same can be said with Anarchy. If the sword tempts us to sin, then destroy it till none remain."

Angrily, Darius stabbed her again. However, this time, Darius saw several white rays of light emit from her body. As he pulled out Devil's Sunrise, he expected her to fall back down but much to his shock, her body was healed and the Rune blade began to change its form and color. Instead of the sword being black and white, the sword's color was now pink and the hilt also changed from black cross to a pink angel hilt with hearts.

Darius attacked the teacher again but this time, Mrs. Santana was able to raise the blade to deflect the blow and cause a massive surge of energy to be released. The ensuing blast not only threw both of the sword wielders back, but also destroyed all of Darius's worms and healed the wounds of all of the Aftershock club members.

Upon seeing this, Darius grew more and more furious and started swinging his sword aimlessly causing more damage to the classroom with every swing. In spite of all this, the members appeared to be unharmed as a glowing shield of light blocked every swing that was directed towards any of the members.

In the chaos, Mrs. Santana pulled Alannah aside and gave her some orders that were barely heard over the blows. Moments later, Alannah ran off with a pack of food and a map. Just as Alannah left, Darius decided to make one last attempt to end the class. The teacher was faster and managed to block his attack with one swing and cause an explosion. Unlike last time though, Mrs. Santana was unaffected by the shockwave while Darius was sent flying back.

"I'll be back. I can assure you that. You'll all pay for what you've done!"

With that Darius opened up a portal and fled.

End of flashback…

After listening to the story of his teacher and club, Matt and his team took a look at the damage done to the classroom.

"Did you really destroy the sword?" asked Matt. He had tried to do it before but failed since none of his weapons were strong enough.

Alivia nodded as she used the slime bunny bucket to heal Matt's team.

"How?" asked Andres.

"You'll be surprised by how powerful prayer can be," answered Mrs. Santana.

Matt helped Natz throw out a broken table and a few other chairs while Edward and the rest of the team tried to salvage what they could. Regardless, the classroom was beyond repair and Mrs. Santana would have to move to a new classroom if she wished to keep teaching.

While this happened, Lance and Anna were setting up a small defense with Nolegs outside the classroom. They knew that Darius was coming back as he promised but with more reinforcements than last time.

"Will our defenses hold?" asked Alannah.

"They won't," answered Matt. "But they're better than nothing."

Matt looked at his collection of swords before taking Heaven's Gate and leaving the rest behind. He knew that he would only be able to use one sword for what was to come, so he had to choose wisely.

"So what's the plan?" asked Mrs. Santana.

"My team and I will hold them off for as long as we possibly can," answered Matt. "In the meantime, the rest of the club will move into a neighboring classroom where they will locate and take the nearest exit outside of school."

"Matt, there's someone that wants to see you," interrupted Natalie.

"Can you get him to wait a bit?" asked Matt.

The red hair mage shook her head. Matt sighed as he picked up his sword and went outside. However, the moment he went out to greet his younger sibling he saw what appeared to be dark clouds surrounding his body.

"Hello brother. Your package has arrived."
