Chapter 18

"W-wait a second! Did you just say Foreigner Class?"

Jacob blinked as the disembodied voice from before appeared once again, but this time he noticed the watch on Ritsuka's wrist seemed to blink every time it appeared.

Wait a second…

"…Is that a smartwatch? How can you get any signal during this time period?"

"Well, it's not actually a smartwatch, it's just based on one, since those are not-Wait, don't change the subject! You said you were a Foreigner Servant, right? What kind of Class is that? There's never been any records of such a Class even existing!"

"Just because you are not aware of something, doesn't mean it's not there Doctor." Jacob said, seemingly amused.

"Don't be rude Doctor!" Mash chastised him once again, making him sulk.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have presumed." The good doctor sighed. "But such an unforeseen appearance right at the beginning of our Grand Order…It's worrisome."

"Worry not Doctor." The Foreigner comforted him. "The chances of you meeting another Foreigner anytime soon are very slim, due to the conditions that have to be met for them to be created."

"What are the conditions?" Asked the Saint curiously.

She could feel that Techno was not a bad person, but…His aura before made her skin crawl.

"To be corrupted by an object or being that originates from beyond the limits of the universe…Or to have a direct connection with a True Daemon or another being that has reached such a level. Not a very common occurrence, if you ask me."

His statement was met with silence.

Before Ritsuka broke the silence.

"Well, I'm glad you chose to help us then."

"Indeed. Now, let's go, shall we? We still have a long way before we reach Lyon."

"…So that's the situation, huh? I knew something bad had happened to the World when I was summoned, but I had no idea it was so serious." Jacob said as they sat around a campfire, and the Chaldeans explained the whole Incineration of Humanity issue.

At first they had trouble trying to explain with layman terms, but when Jacob revealed that he too originated from the 21 century, it made things much easier.

"It's still surreal to think you guys are time travellers."

"The same could be said about you, you know? Such reserves of mana, comparable to the heroes of the Age of Gods, is very uncommon among modern Heroic Spirits." Da Vinci's projection appeared, and she looked at him with a glint in her eyes.

"Such high praise from the great Da Vinci, a true Caster, is truly an honor."

"Indeed! This genius' praise is worth it's weigh in gold, silver and precious stones!" Da Vinci agreed, bobbing her head very excitedly.

"There's something I still don't understand, though." said Ritsuka, and then everyone turned to look at him. "Why did Saint Martha say that your aura felt similar to Tarasque's?"

Now everyone turned to look at our pinkhaired anarchist.

"Ah, that. It must be because of this." Then Jacob pulled off his crown from his head. As he injected mana into it, it suddenly started started glowing a beautiful sea green, and the aura of a dragon was released. "You probably didn't notice it because of the Blood God aura that I was releasing earlier. Saint Martha, as a Dragon Rider, is more attuned to a dragon's aura."

"It's really pretty, but why is there a dragon aura being released by it?" Asked Marie, as her eyes sparkled while looking at the crown.

"It's because this crown is the corpse of Leviathan, a beast recorded in the Old Testament. Which is also why Saint Martha confused me with Tarasque, as Leviathan is said to be his mother."

"But isn't Leviathan supposed to only appear during the final judgement?" The good Doctor finally took his chair back from Da Vinci, who was sulking behind it.

"Indeed, in the timeline where my legend was forged, the final judgement has come, but instead of serving humanity, Behemoth was actually one of the responsible ones for nearly bringing their extinction, together with Leviathan, and other five monstrous creatures that were not mentioned in the Old Testament."

"…And how did you get her corpse, exactly?" Ritsuka asked, just to confirm something.

"I killed her, of course. Though it was only thanks to the Blood God's remnants that I managed to do so, which is also why I became a Foreigner, instead of a Lancer. But that's enough sharing for one night. We'll need to move very fast tomorrow if we want to get to this Dragon Slayer."

And so, our heroes went to sleep, for tomorrow, their journey would continue.

Now, for Jacob's Foreigner sub-Class hidden status, they are only applied to him when he is in the Foreigner sub-Class. And here they are:

Hidden Skills

Sea Devil's Essence (EX): Leviathan, a giant demonic beast in the sea recorded in the Old Testament. Because of it's ferociousness, it was considered a devil during the Middle Ages. In an alternate universe, Leviathan helped bring the downfall of human civilization on Earth, and because of it's tyranny over a group of survivors, Jacob slayed the beast, and obtained it's Essence and authority in the form of a crown. However, because it did not become a true part of him, he needs to channel mana into it to use it. Because of the corruption caused by the remnant of the Blood God, this skill became a hidden skill.

Totem of Resurrection (EX): A lost amulet left behind by the #$&$s civilization. It has the power of giving new life to the dead, and needs to recharge for a week before being used again. It had been corrupted by the remnant energy of a dead Outer entity, but when this energy was transferred into Jacob's body, the totem became pure once again. Because of the corruption caused by the remnant of the Blood God, this skill became a hidden skill.

Dimension of Endless Blood(?): Due to the absorption of the Blood God's remnant, Jacob acquired His Reality Marble, a Dimension filled to the brim with blood. With the Authority of the Blood God, Jacob can turn that blood into blood energy, and then into mana. Because of that, whenever he activates his Blood for the Blood God Noble Phantasm, he has access to an endless source of mana, though the more power he draws from it, the more influence the remnant of the Blood God has over him. This influence manifests as countless voices speaking in his mind. Because of the corruption caused by the remnant of the Blood God, this skill became a hidden skill.

Hidden Noble Phantasms

The Lancer's Regret (EX): Even though the Lancer sub-Class has been lost, due to Jacob's fate with it, this Noble Phantasm was born. He attains ultimate spearmanship while using it, though at a really high mana cost.
