"I gave the medal to Beverly, to see if she could trace it. She assured me that the markings on the back of the medal would let her track the provenance. In the meantime, I kept watch on Stuart. After several days of not changing, I took a chance and let him out of his chains and walked with him. It was uneventful, that is, until it came close to the dawn."

"I think that I am getting back to normal." Stuart said "or what is normal for me. I will not turn wolf until it is the full moon."

"I am glad to hear it. But you must understand that I want to make sure."

"Of course."

They walked a few more steps, until Stuart stumbled, and fell. Amos went to help him out, and heard the growls. Stuart was changing. Quickly Amos hit him with the silver handle of his cane (because the show had gotten the cane right), and Stuart's fit subsided.

"I guess it is not over yet." He looked up at the sky. "There is still some moonlight. Locked inside it could not affect me, but here, it can trigger some change."

"I guess it will take longer than we think. But the farthest away Crandall is, the easier it will be."

"Why do you think Romney wants Crandall?"

"He probably has his uses."

"I wonder how benevolent Romney and his group are. They might have had the best intentions, but they have accumulated power, and power is always a temptation. We might one day be fighting them."

"It might be. But not yet."

"I have thought about it. Power corrupts, and Romney and his people had power…. I have thought about it more than once…"

"About power," Heather interrupted "Let us talk about Leonore. There was corruption going on there. They do not show that, of course. She is interpreted by a thirties/forties movie star, which means that they were too respectful with her character. Also, the actress took several vacations, and so was not there at crucial moments. She was supposed to have been a victim, deceived into believing that she had killed her husband, and locking herself inside the mansion for years... That was true, but in all those years she held absolute power over the rest of the family and used it. To come back from her trip and finding out how the power had escaped her was more than she could bear. She was ready to try anything, make an alliance with anybody who promised her the power back"

"We all know what she did." Beverly commented/

"Yes. But remember that Amos and I remember it differently. In fact, there are things that only Amos and I remember. And from what I see, that is the version that the show has. There are things that the rest of the town remembers but that Amos and I do not. So please let us tell you what we remember."

Leonore talked to Charlie. "Charlie, I am the only one who cares for you. Not your father, not Dinah. They want to send you away, but I will stop them. You must trust me."
