Naegi Makoto is a average young man that works at the Kirigiri Detective Agency. One day while hiding from a heavy rain, he meets a beautiful blond woman that will change his life forever. Now with his destiny interlaced with the supernatural, Makoto has to navigate this strange new life, all the while trying to solve the mysteries of the city he lives in and also his own.

Shuichi Saihara is a quiet, soft-spoken, and perpetually bored adult whose life is turned upside down when he's suddenly recruited to be apart of a spy team. Together, he and the team he's been put with work together to stop crimes (and maybe fall in love along the way).

Accepted into Hope's Peak Academy, a prestigious high school that accepts only the most gifted and talented of students, Makoto Naegi was looking forward to his new life there. However, disaster strikes the world and odd happenings that people could only dream of occur, Makoto must step up beyond the "Ultimate Lucky Student" in order to save all that he loves.

After a date with Mahiru ends in horror, Hajime finds himself amidst a murder plot that he has to solve before all his friends fall dead around him.
