A man with long spiky white hair could be seen standing in front of a woman with long black hair. He had a shocked expression on his face. "Y-y-you're w-what?" he asked carefully. "I said I'm pregnant with your child Jiraiya." The man now known as Jiraiya, was speechless. Never in a million years would he have thought that he'd actually become a father. He was 35 already for Kami's sake! "Hikari how do we know the child is mine?" he asked trying not to be disrespectful. The woman now known as Hikari Mukei frowned. Her beautiful orange and yellow eyes showing her disappointment."Well I've only ever been with you and it's not like we had a one night stand. You've visited me multiple times." Jiraiya had to admit that she had a good point. Even though they weren't in a relationship, they've had sex on multiple occasions. Great sex at that, he thought a little pervertedly.
"Well I want to make sure that the child is mine just to be sure." he said and she nodded. Jiraiya bit his thumb and went through hand seals. "Summoning jutsu!" he yelled. 2 small poofs of smoke appeared and there stood 2 small toads toads. "What the hell!" Hikari shrieked inwardly."Oi Jiraiya boy, why did you summon us. We are not in a battle are we?" said the male toad. "Heya Master Fugasaku, I kinda really need your help at the moment." he replied with a nervous laugh. "Jiraiya-chan who is this lady and why can I sense a little bit of your chakra inside of her?" asked the female toad. "That's what I called you guys here for. I'd like for you to meet Hikari. Hikari these are my teachers, Lord Fukasaku and Lady Shima and they are the ones that are going to check to see if the kid is mine." "WAIT WHAT!!!" came the reply of both toads.
"Uhhhh long story, I'll tell you about it later but right now I need for you to see if I'm going to be a father or not." said Jiraiya. Fugusakun sighed. "It's always something involving you, and women that causes you to get into the most trouble. "Hey it's not my fault. I'm just a charming fellow" he replied. All three of his occupants just gave deadpan stare and he sweat dropped. Lady Shima sighed and went up to Hikari. "Hello ma'am, I mean no harm. I'm just going to check to see if the child is indeed Jiraiya-Chans." "Um no offense, but just how are you going to do that? Are you a nurse or something?"asked Hikari. Shima laughed. "Goodness no, but I have the ability to sense ones chakra very well and I'd be able to confirm your suspicions. And by the looks of things, the child is indeed yours Jiraiya."
After he heard that, he nearly fainted. "And I suppose you're going to raise and train the child when the time comes to become a shinobi?" asked Fukasaku. "Well of course I will raise my child. I may be a bit childish but even I have my priorities straight." "I don't think it's a good idea for our baby to become a shinobi though"replied Hikari. The three sages were shocked. "B-but why?"questioned Shima. "Well I know that Jiraiya is a ninja and I've heard stories about how you've been on dangerous missions and made many enemies from different villages. I just don't think that it would be safe for the baby" He had to admit, she did make another good point.
"But Jiraiya boy, what if the baby is the child of prophecy?"asked Fugasaku. Jiraiya remained silent for a moment before replying. "While you make a point Pa, i don't want to force my child to become a ninja if they don't want to be. But even if the life of a shinobi is dangerous, I'd still love for the child to be able to defend himself" he said honestly. Hikari nodded. "I can agree on that. I just can't wait to see what we'll be having" she said with a smile. Ma and Pa nodded as well. "This has to remain between just us for now until the baby is born and old enough to protect themselves. They all agreed. "This will certainly be interesting" Jiraiya thought.
The past few months have been a roller coaster for the 2 soon to be parents. While Jiraiya still had shinobi duties to attend to, he still put forth an effort to help Hikari whenever she needed it and he made sure to take care of her. Over time, they became very fond of each other as well, even sharing the same bed whenever they'd be together. But he noticed that she started to get sick but she waived him off and told him she'd be okay.
He could be found sitting in the window by their bed as Hikari slept. He thought about his life up to this point. "Trained by the Third Hokage, became a Sannin and war hero, and then a sage on top of that. And now I'm having a baby boy!"he thought with a grin. He glanced over at the mother of his child and thought about how they've gotten a lot closer these last few months. "I haven't felt this way about anyone ever, not even Tsunade-Hime. I've barely done any research lately either" he chuckled inwardly. He felt a little guilty that he's kept this whole thing a secret from his teammates, Sensei and even his apprentice. He smiled sadly at the thought of the last person. "Minato, I'm sorry for keeping you in the dark. Hopefully you can understand where I'm coming from one day." He exclaimed as he quietly went over to Hikari and gave her a kiss on the forehead and jumped out of the window into the night.
