OK, Now this is the first Animaniacs fanfic I've ever written. Animaniacs, unlike Tiny Toons or other toons, however, was a toon show I hadn't watch until one year ago for who-knows-why until now. So there might be some OOC moments, but on the other hand, aside from some Disney shows like Mickey Mouse, since most of my fanfics about the shows, characters don't act 100% of they act on the show.

Besides this, I'll also have the characters from the spin-off Pinky and the Brain series, and there'll be one in this one, but here I won't reveal who is it until the end of this story.

Anyway, here I am starting this story, if you have some suggestions, leave them in the review page. This story is take after the reboot episode "Good Warners Hunting", and before "Warner's Ark", I felt that episode is kinda disappointing since I actually like Chicken Boo, at least I don't like the reboot making this change on him. I felt the reboot wasn't as fun as the original version, actually.

It had been some days after the event of "Good Warners Hunting", when Chicken Boo tried to hunt the Warners, and the rest of the original Animaniacs cast (except Pinky and the Brain, whom he hadn't caught yet). Right now, we can see our favorite elder Warner brother, Yakko, spending time with three of his best friends from the old cast, Minerva Mink, Wilford B. Wolf and Newt the dachshund.

A/N: Well, in my fanfics, Yakko will spend his spare time with Minerva, Wilford and Newt when his siblings are not around, due to the fans often pair Minerva with the other 3.

If you ask who will I pair with Minerva, well, I haven't decided yet so I'll give all three of them share. Though I guess I would probably go into Yakko x Minerva, since some of my friends are interested in this shipping and they encouraged my to give this a try when they heard that I plan to write fanfics for Animaniacs, despite I enjoy all three pairings.

"It was great to reunite with you guys again." Yakko smiled, "Last time we've seen each other was almost one year."

"I know it, right?" Minerva chuckled but then she sighed, "I'm still unhappy about the board for leaving me and the others out of the reboot, it's really unfair."

"Why yeah, most of us are really recognized by the public when our show was popular." Newt nodded, "Slappy, Goodfeathers, me, especially Minerva, even those who never watched our show knew her. Heck, even Chicken Boo had some fans despite him being the least popular character."

"Speaking of him, what happened after you chasing Chicken Boo?" Yakko asked, "We weren't there."

"I wasn't there either." Wilford added, "and I want to know about this."

"Well, we kept chasing that stupid chicken for a long time. Slappy was so angry on him that she even teamed up with Walter to blast the chicken, even Skippy was trying to join them, but Slappy pushed him away because she doesn't want him in danger." Minerva replied.

"The chicken tried to use another disguise to hide from us, but unfortunately for him, his smell couldn't fool me, Buttons and Runt." Newt added.

(Flashback)

Chicken Boo was busy running for his life from the mad mob, at the same time, he heard Walter's yelling.

"I'll make sure that double-crossing chicken will end up on my dining table tonight!" Walter yelled in anger.

"Now that's something I agreed with you, Walter!" Slappy also yelled.

"Man, what a mess I got myself into?" Chicken Boo thought, when he found he ran into a dead end, so in the end, he chose to use his another disguise of a passer-by.

The chasers behind didn't see the chicken due to his disguise, then Chicken Boo immediately grabbed the chance to run away. But unfortunately for him, this didn't win too much time for him.

"Hey, I smelt his smell, definitely I smelt it!" Runt exclaimed.

Chicken Boo growled in frustration. Of course, there are THREE dogs in the mob!

"GET HIM!" Slappy, Walter and Pesto all yelled in unison as they kept chasing.

Meanwhile, on the other street, Foghorn Leghorn was laid down and pulled by his occasional rival, Henery Hawk, until he finally had it enough and stopped himself from being pulled by the tiny chickenhawk.

"Listen, boy. I'm sick, I say, I'm sick of this stunt." Foghorn yelled, "Why don't you, I say, why don't you catch another chicken or some other prey instead of me?"

"Name me one!" Henery shouted back, "You are the only chicken I know after all, where else can I get a chicken?"

It was interrupted as both of them watched Chicken Boo ran past. Foghorn, surprised at how HUGE this chicken is, immediately had an idea.

"Hey look, I say, look!" Foghorn yelled, "That's a chicken and boy, he's HUGE!"

"Gee, he sure is." Henery nodded at this comment and immediately go after him. Foghorn thought he was safe until the chasing mob, who weren't aware of him, stepped on him badly.

"This is, I say, This is humiliating!" The leghorn, laying on the ground, groaned.

There was finally no way for Chicken Boo to keep running. His disguises couldn't help him and all of his ways had been blocked. Now he is really doomed.

"Anything else to say, chicken?" Slappy glared at him as the mob prepared to beat the chicken, that is, until Henery suddenly cut in and stopped the mob.

"Hey! Who are you?" Rita asked.

"Who am I, lady? Well, I'm a chicken hawk and I'm hunting for a chicken!" Henery shouted back as he approached to the giant chicken. Walter, angered by this, wanted to stop the small hawk, however, Henery just gave him some punch, a shovel smashed his head and tossed him away as if the wolf was a feather to the hawk, much to the others' shock.

"No one dares to steal my chicken!" Chicken Boo, knowing this hawk is far more dangerous than the mob, immediately broke away and ran away. However, Henery grabbed his leg so he won't be able to run away, and he tugged the chicken away, "Well, among all the chicken hawk's history of catching chicken, now I'm breaking my new record of catching the biggest chicken!" The chicken hawk broke the fourth wall as he tugged his prey, who was struggling to escape, away. The others were shocked of this fact, but decided to shrug it off and walk away since there is no use catching the chicken now.

(End flashback)

"I still can't believe a little hawk can have a great strength." Newt shrugged.

"Well, we're toons after all, and toons are always unpredictable." Wilford replied, "Just like my ability to transform into a werewolf."

"Well, from what I remembered, that hawk is Henery Hawk, a minor Looney Tunes star who's determined to get a chicken." Minerva replied, "You're lucky that he didn't think you're a chicken, which is a mistake he used to make, otherwise you will be doomed."

"Well, I guess I'd gotta go. Maybe tomorrow, I'll get the new CEO and try to ask her if we can bring you back to the show." Yakko replied as he smirked at Minerva, "GOODBYE~~~~nurse. Oh, you guys too." He drifted away, leaving the other three chuckled at this.

Meanwhile...

"Wait, come back, little girlie girl, it's dangerous!" We could heard the all-known animal hugging-torturer, Elmrya Duff, was chasing after...

Mindy?!

Well, as we saw the blonde hair little girl walking into the dangerous situation like usual in the original show, and getting away without being injured, and Elmrya was ended up getting beaten, smashed and finally knocked out.

Mindy then turned to see a dizzy Elmrya, she couldn't help but start to giggle. At the same time, behind a bush, four figures popped out and started to laugh, and who are they?

Furrball, Buttons, Rita and Runt!

"Oh boy, that's really hilarious! You are really a genius to think an idea like this, Furrball!" Buttons laughed.

"True, but it is your idea to get Mindy in this plan!" Furrball replied, "I never knew that she would join this plan!"

"What can I say?" Mindy giggled, walking towards the four animal and patting each of them, "It is really fun, especially that I can spend time with my other friends. Plus, that may teach her a lesson for trying to mess with my Buttons."

"If her peanut brain CAN receive this lesson." Rita shrugged.

Ever since the show ended, Mindy starts to be aware of the danger she was in, but she is still a cheerful, curious and positive little girl and sometimes she can deal with the trouble on her own. She also can be a bit mischievous from time to time. With her parents starting to be less neglectful and more responsible, Buttons finally can say goodbye to all the pains he endured when he tried to protect the girl. And yes, he can talk just like Furrball, whom he had been friended with for a long time.

Meanwhile, Rita and Runt are still trying their best to find themselves a home, despite this, they still enjoy wandering around the world. Runt finally recognized that Rita is a cat, not a dog, but he doesn't care. As long as they have each other, that is best thing Runt cares. Now the dog only fights the cats (and others) when they tried to hurt him or Rita. And just like Buttons and Mindy, they also befriended with Furrball, due to all of them being homeless (or former homeless) animals.

A/N: This is a new thing I made. I like Buttons, Rita and Runt and I think Furrball deserves to make friends with them. It was really a pity that they are all out of the reboot. I felt disappointed on the reboot for leaving them out.

Also, the part of Elmrya getting pains from the way she chased Mindy was an idea I got from the original episode, "Lookit the Fuzzy Heads"

"So, Runt, did you tape this?" Furrball asked.

"I did, definitely I did." Runt nodded as he showed a cellphone, which just took down the hilarious scene. The five of them all burst out laughing as they watched the scene.

"Fifi is gonna love this!" Furrball tried to stop his laughter, as he then turned to the others, "So, what else did you do recently?"

"Well, mostly we are just trying to have our normal life." Rita shrugged, "We had heard that aside from the Warners, Pinky and the Brain, Scratchansniff and Ralph, none of us were invited back to the reboot."

"Wait, what?!" Furrball gasped.

"It's true. The censor thinks we are outdated and they simply want to focus on the Warners or the mice." Buttons also groaned, then he suddenly brought the story that Chicken Boo kidnapped all of them, much to Furrball's shock. He couldn't believe that the chicken would do something like this, but more, he was confused and concerned.

"Guys? Don't you think that you are too harsh on Chicken Boo?" He asked, much to the other five's confusion.

"Why did you ask that, Furrball?" Rita asked in confusion, "It was that chicken's own fault for being the least popular star on the show, we didn't do anything to him."

"Definitely." Runt agreed. "Well..." Mindy and Buttons, on the other hand, seemed to have different ideas.

"And that's the reason he kidnapped you." That was Furrball's reply.

"Why? I told you that we didn't do anything to him." Rita replied.

"Yeah, you didn't hate him, but you didn't care him, either." Furrball replied, "When Chicken Boo heard that he was the least popular star, he was really unhappy about this. You knew every time when people found out he's a chicken, he got nothing but boo and boots. And what your negligence did was the last straw on him."

"How did you know this?" Runt asked.

"Because I experienced this before!" Furrball sighed, "Remember when I was a homeless alley cat, all I got was being ignored, bullied, mocked, all of this, never a good thing until I had Fifi."

"But you didn't go evil." Runt scratched his head.

"Yeah, not in real life, but fanfics." Furrball replied, "I remembered when I looked through the fanfics, despite there was few fanfics of me being a villain, there is a lot of them that have me finally have enough and go snapped due to all the bad stuff. I wasn't the only one in that situation or worse. Sylvester, Hamton, Dizzy, Calamity, or you Buttons, Skippy, or some old toon stars like Bosko and... well, Buddy had already done this in real, fortunately Warners' speech made him regretted his actions and reformed, heck, even the Warners were snapped and went evil in some fanfics."

Furrball, despite he didn't be a villain, he did snap due to the bad stuff to him in ToonFanJoey's fanfic "The Reluctant Vampire Cat" And Bloodlustful's "You've Done Me So Wrong" and "Here Furrball Goes"

Sylvester, in ToonFanJoey's fanfic "Looney Tunes Back in Action Rewrite", was snapped due to being sick of his old role of keeping catching Tweety and getting injured.

Hamton, in Leloni Bunny's fanfic "A Stylistic Situation", was angry because Buster and Babs ruined his lead acting chance in "Buster and Babs Go Hawaiian" and schemed a trouble.

Calamity and Dizzy, in HectorBomb's fanfic "Tiny Toons: Once a Villain, Always a Villain", were snapped and became villains due to a misunderstanding, but they reformed in the end.

Buttons, in Tinyrocket's fanfic "True Guardian", sick of always getting hurt and scolded from protecting Mindy and ran away. Coincidentally, it was Furrball that convinced him to go back, this, along with ToonFanJoey's "Furrball and the Final Frontier", is the inspirations of my idea of the friendship of Buttons and Furrball.

Skippy, in the TheSavageMan100's fanfic "Animaniacs - The Later Years", was snapped due to being sick of his old role, became a villain and even tried to kill the old gang (including Slappy).

Bosko, in WheresDaBeef's "Bow and Ears" and FearlessFreep's "Bonds", became a villain, though he sacrificed himself to save the Warners in the former story.

Buddy, we know his story in "The Warners' 65th Anniversary", despite he seemed to reform (I think he's clearly moved and regretted his action due to the scene he wiped his tear, and he would in my stories), he was still used as a villain to kill Warners in Kimmi-rin-kira's "Dear Yakko" and CrankshaftRabbit's "Animaniacs: Nocturnus"

The Warners, due to being tormented, locked away and darkness rose in their heart, became maniac and ruthless villains in KtheKartoonist's "Toonification"

This is all the references, if you haven't read these stories, then I recommended you to have a look in this. I don't own these fanfics, they belong to their respective owners. They are worth watching. It is kinda ironic that none fanfics here to make Chicken Boo a villain, aside from ChickenBooFan843's "Boo's Angst" (which was actually wrote after Good Warner Hunting came out and wrote how Boo got the other gang) instead, sometimes he would have a happy ending.

"What do you want to say exactly, Furrball?" Rita asked, clearly starting to feel a bit impatient.

"What I want to say is... Chicken Boo wants to be cared, just like what I used to be." Furrball replied, "Despite he did have fans caring for him and even he got invited on Santa's sleigh to have a trip..."

"Wait, I remembered it was you who got invited on the sleigh." Runt scratched his head.

"Yeah, and how did you think how I was invited?" Furrball rebuked.

(Flashback, take place before and after "Jingle Boo")

Furrball was once again kicked out by a couple who hate cats and then ran into a gang of junkyard dogs, after finally getting away from them, he settled down to find some food for himself, however, he ended up finding nothing and sighed in sadness.

Meanwhile, Chicken Boo, in his Santa Boo disguise, walking to his workplace, but he happened to see Furrball feeling unhappy, feeling sympathy on the cat, Boo decided to comfort him. He happened to have some food with him, so he decided to share this with the cat.

Furrball was surprised to see Chicken Boo here, let alone in a Santa disguise. But smiling, he decided to accept the food from the chicken. He wasn't surprised to see this Santa being a chicken, after all, the cat had a chicken classmate and a chicken teacher, literally.

"Bucka! Bucka!" The chicken clucked, but Furrball knew it was his means of saying "Merry Christmas", and he smiled as he replied the same. Then Boo gave him a Christmas hat and a candy cane before he left. Furrball watched the way the chicken left, he smiled in gratitude.

After Chicken Boo was kicked out once again because he was found out that he's a chicken, he got invited by Santa for his good deeds. When Boo saw Furrball again, unfortunately, the cat once again was homeless and hungry, and had to make some money by playing the Christmas Carol with a violin. Boo motioned Santa and the elves to stop on the way and landed near to Furrball, much to the cat's surprise. Boo clucked to Furrball, wanting to invite him on the sleigh, and Furrball agreed as he climbed onto it. The sleigh continued to travel, but on the sleigh, aside from Santa and the elves, there were two jolly good souls, one chicken and one cat.

(End flashback)

"That was how I got invited on Santa's sleigh. It was not Santa himself did this, it was Boo." Furrball concluded and sighed again, "Unfortunately, this is not everyday Boo got. He wasn't what he is now, but with time passed, he gradually became worried, sad, self-doubt, jealous,he just wanted to get encouraged, get cared, but he got nothing, and you never giving him care was the final straw on him, and he finally went...snapped."

Mindy, Buttons, Rita and Runt became sad, they now realized despite Boo kidnapped them at the first place, they had their faults, too. "OK, Furrball. We'll apologize to him once we saw him next time." Mindy nodded.

"Only if he won't plan to kidnap us again." Rita added, "'Cause if he tried to do this, I'm not gonna care for him for a second time."

"Or if he doesn't get away from that hawk." Runt also added. However, their talk was cut short once they saw Elmrya regained her conscious and approaching to them, much to their fear.

"Wow, there you are little girlie girl!" The redhead giggled, "And you brought some fuzzy-wuzzies with you!"

"Gulp." Furrball gulped as he turned to see the others, "So, same time next week?"

"Definitely." Runt nodded as Rita hopped on him.

"We'll send the video to you." Rita added.

"OK, I love you, buh-bye!" Mindy also rode on Buttons as he, Furrball and Runt ran into different directions. On his way running, Furrball couldn't help but think one thing, "I may be crazy, but something told me that the reason Chicken Boo kidnapped all the cast,

Rita and Runt, on the other hand, was busying running for their lives, until they finally not seeing Elmyra chasing them. They finally stopped as they panted.

"She really is a killer." Rita panted.

"She is, Rita, she definitely is." Runt nodded.

"Well, I'm gonna find some food for me." Rita hopped down from Runt and started to find some food, but unfortunately, when she turned at a corner, a hand suddenly grabbed her and threw her into a van, Rita gasped in shock when she saw some people inside, all of them wear mask and black jumpsuit.

"Well, well, well. Look who we got here." One guy snickered evilly as the others started to tie the cat up.

"What... what are you doing?!" Rita shouted in fear, "Runt, HELP!!! I need yo...mmph!" But soon another one gagged her before she could call another help.

Runt, who just laid down and tried to get some rest, immediately heard Rita's scream for help, "Oh no! Rita is in trouble, definitely she is!" The dog quickly ran to Rita's direction, however, one catcher noticed him and just knocked him out with a rock, much to Rita's dismay.

"Killing two birds with one rock." The catcher snickered, "or in this case, a cat and a dog." He went down to tie Runt up and threw him to the van, as the backdoor shut and it drove away.

The next day, Minerva, in her usual red dress, walking in the forest and humming her song "It's not pretty being me". Suddenly, she stopped as she found a beast trap on her way with some hunky man's photo onto it.

"This better be a prank, Newt. You are too stupid to forget that it's illegal to hunt minks now." Minerva chuckled, believing this was the dachshund's little prank for her and deciding to play along. However, as soon as she tossed a stone onto the trap, the ground suddenly sprung and tossed her into a van, the same van that kidnapped Rita and Runt yesterday with the same people!

"Wow, what a beauty we got!" One catcher snickered as the others started to whistle and some of them even howled like wolves. Minerva realized that she was got caught by someone, and clearly that someone is NOT Newt! She tried to ran away but the catchers blocked her way and started to tie her up.

"AAAAHHH! Someone help me, there are mink-nappers on the loose and they got me! HEEEELLLP!" The blonde mink screamed for help, but soon one catcher gagged her so that she won't scream. As the other catchers felt it attracted, one of them felt it ridiculous so he put a sack over the mink's head, which made the others groaned. "Come on, we had to be back to the mission. We had a long list to hunt!" The one yelled in frustration as the van drove away.

At the same time, Buttons just woke up from his sleep. However, to his confusion, he found Mindy's parents seemed to look for something...

Or, actually, someone.

"Buttons, did you see Mindy?!" Buttons then heard Mindy's mom asking him, "She was supposed to have her fun in the yard, but we didn't saw her!"

These words made Buttons' eyes widened and his heart dropped.

All right, the first chapter finished. So four toons disappeared, Rita, Runt, Minerva and Mindy, what will happen to them? Is there another kidnapping action? Who is behind of it this time? And is Chicken Boo's last hunting just simply because of jealous? This will have an answer for the future chapters. Next chapter, we'll see our favorite Warner siblings and make sure they'll get the side of the story.

The idea of Boo and Furrball was because I found they shared a lot of similarities, both of them are unlucky on the show, never being respected and always get kicked out, and neither of them talked on the show but their vocal effect are voiced by Frank Welker, hence it gave me the ideaof Furrball stands up to Boo.And he was actually right, Boo kidnapping the cast wasn't simply because of jealous, it was because of a reason he cannot reveal for now. Also, Boo's speaking voice will provided by Danny Jacobs, who voiced his disguise form, Dr. Walter Grubb.

Also, can someone help me come up with new voices for Skippy (due to his voice Nathan Rugger is an adult now), Wilford and Newt? (due to their voice Peter Scolari and Arte Johnson are now rest in peace, and I'm not gonna use Frank Welker as Newt's voice, he had already been overused)
