My DA is EmeraldOverlord so if you wanna check out my art you are free to do so! Sorry for the lateness but I had trouble with writer's block but I got a hang of it now! Writing this was a bitch so I hope you all enjoy this because boy it's a doozy!

BTW, I'm rewriting parts of this chapter a bit. Not all of it but the main part at the end will be changed with Angel instead of Vaggie. Just a warning for when the chapter finally updates.

Back In The Other World….

The twins sat in silence within their cell, boredom lingering within their eyes. There wasn't much to do in their cell and after they had gone through with whatever Belphegor wanted for his experimentation, it was back to their cells again.

In order to break the silence, Seviathan asked,"Hey sis,you bored?"

Helsa made a nose from her throat that he heard enough times to translate as 'yes'.

"Thought so…" He mumbled,"This place can get pretty boring, especially now that it's night. Even the screams of the other patients usually die down at this time. I suppose even the mad ones need to rest sometime…" He then narrowed his eyes,"However, not all of us are mad, sister and I do believe it's time we take our leave while it's still night."

Helsa blinked as her brother descended down from the bunk bed and glanced at him in bemusement. Even in the darkness, she could sense her brother rolling his eyes before pulling out a key from his shirt. She stared at him in shock and despite not being able to talk, it was obvious by her expression what she wished to say in that moment.

He chuckled,"The nurses carry the keys to our cells on them and while despite being obedient as hell, they are far from observant. Managed to snag this off of one while her back was turned a few days prior and she didn't even notice."

Helsa gave him an incredulous glance and he sighed,

"The reason I didn't use it earlier was because I wanted to formulate a plan before we calculated an escape….."

Seviathan narrowed his eyes as Helsa signed,"You have a plan brother?"

"Of course I do, what do I look like? An idiot?" He retorted before frowning as his sister laughed,"You know what? Forget I even asked. Come on, we don't have all day and it's only a matter of time before dawn rises and we lose our chance…"

Helsa snickered before standing up and following her brother who unlocked the cell door and quietly stepped outside. The twins scanned the hallways for any signs of security before Seviathan whispered,"The coast is clear.." He then outstretched his hand,"Come on sis,it's still dark and we can't risk getting lost. We have to stick together if we're ever going to get out of here."

Helsa nodded and held her brother's hand, giving him a squeeze as they walked down the hallway. Both twins remained silent as they walked past the other cells, careful not to wake anyone up let alone alert any possible guards or nurses that may or may not have been lingering around.

Eventually they approached a vent and Seviathan knelt down and hissed,"Shit, how the fuck as we supposed to open this?" He tried pulling at the screws but nothing happened…

Just then, Helsa rummaged through her hair and pulled out a fork of all things. Seviathan blankly stared at her before whispering,"Is…is that from the kitchen?"

Helsa nodded and began using the fork to take the nails off. It was far from a good fit but it did do the job eventually as the screws came off one by one. The lid slid down and Seviathan blinked in disbelief before saying,"You're a life-saver Helsa…"

Helsa seemed proud of herself and smirked.

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves, though. We still have a job to do.

Seviathan crawled inside of the vent and wheezed at the dust inside,"Blegh, there's so much damn dust in here," He then turned his head as he saw Helsa stared at him begrudgingly,"Quit standing there sis, it's anything but comfortable but if we ever wanna see the light of day, we're going to have to go through this vent…"

After several moments of hesitation, Helsa crawled inside the vent after her brother, squinting as the dust irritated her eyes. The dust was tickling both of their throats and the amount of dirt and filth inside was enough to make their skins crawl.

The Princess cringed as the smell of dust and other grime entered her nostrils, covering her nose every so often in order to breathe About the only postie about the vents was that it was large enough to a fit a human being and support them without making loud noises but otherwise it was a complete dumpster fire in every way.

It was a long and awkward journey and truth be told, Helsa had no clue where they were even going, feeling as though they were traversing through a disgusting maze of sorts.

Eventually, Seviathan stopped moving and Helsa bumped into him, letting out a hiss in response. She sent him a harsh glare for abruptly coming to a halt and likely would have criticized him for it had he not put his finger up to his lip before quietly whispering,"We found Belphegor's room…"

Helsa gasped at this and stared at him in bewilderment, as if not believing him. Seviathan moved to grant his sister access to the vent and together they peered downward. To Helsa's surprise, Seviathan was right and that they were above the Lord of Sloth's room.

From above, they could see Belphegor's room in all of its glory. Helsa looked at her brother with concern and seemed confused as to why they were there and Seviathan whispered,"Belphegor has the controller to our collars and the keys to every prisoner's cell on him. I've seen him hold them on his person when testing us. I doubt he trusts his standard goons with something so important and the only place that made any sense for him to keep it would be in his bedroom," He then sighed,"Course we can't both go down there and get it, meaning one of us has to stay here while the other gets the controller. You up for it, sis?"

Helsa shook her head and Seviathan merely shrugged his shoulders,"Had a feeling you'd say that. No big deal of course. I was planning on doing it anyway. And remember, no matter what happens or what you see, do not intervene until I'm ready to be pulled back up. Understand?"

She nodded her head in understanding and pulled out the fork from prior and carefully unscrewed the bolts and quietly removed the lid for her brother, placing it to the side. Helsa then helped lower her brother to the ground and once he was close enough to safely jump, he landed on the carpet that silenced any sound he made.

Seviathan looked at where he was. He stood in Belphegor's bedroom and was able to see all sorts of things. The lavish Queen-Sized bed, the decorative interior that would put most architects in Hell to shame. On the bed Belphegor clutched the pillow, sleeping soundly as he snored in a rather loud manner, seemingly unaware of his presence.

Seviathan took that as his Que to search the surrounding area and carefully began to creep up to the drawers and reached out to open the knob, cringing as the drawer made a loud creaky noise upon being opened.

He winced, cursing internally at the noise and immediately glanced back at Belphegor uneasily. The Lord of Sloth seemed to become momentarily disturbed judging by the sound of his breathing.

Thankfully for Seviathan's wake, the Lord of Sloth was a heavy sleeper and quickly returned to his peaceful slumber after a few seconds, snoring soundly.

He then repeated the same tactic, quietly rummaging through Belphegor's things as he did so while doing his best to not wake the bastard up.

So far, he hadn't found anything of value. Just sets of attire and the works. Typical things you'd expect in someone's bedroom. Nothing of actual importance.

The Prince found himself rather irritated until he came across the final drawer. He truthfully expected another batch of garments until he noticed Belphegor's controller to the collars inside.

'Yes!' He thought to himself, a wide grin growing on the elder twin's face,'About time!' He quickly grasped the gadget in his hands and carefully held it, not wanting to make any sudden movements with the device, afraid that he might shock himself by mistake.

He glanced up at Helsa and gave her a thumbs up motion and revealed the controller to her. Helsa returned the gesture and seemed pleased by her brother's discovery, her doubts of the situation somewhat soothed.

Their relief however was short lived as Seviathan's grip over the control loosen and he accidentally dropped the device to the floor despite his best efforts to retrieve it. Despite not breaking it, the device did make a loud sound as it collided to the ground, loud enough that it disturbed Belphegor from his slumber.

"Mmmm? W-What was that?" He asked,"I-Is someone there?"

'Shit!' He thought as he noticed Belphegor moving around him in his sleep, seemingly on the verge of waking up.

Helsa's eyes were wide as saucers as she covered her mouth in horror. Seviathan seems frozen in place. Helsa made a 'psst' noise to snap her brother out of his trance and quickly motioned toward the bed and mouthed the words 'hide'.

Seviathan snapped out of his haze and slid under the bed while he still could and retrieved the remote at the last second as he buried himself in the darkness.

The Prince of Envy's eyes widened when he saw Belphegor's feet from under the bed. He put his hand over his mouth to stifle his breathing and winced as he heard Belphegor's slippers literal feet away from him.

The only thing Seviathan could hear was his heart pounding in that moment and he could feel sweat trickling down the side of his cheek. He wondered if Belphegor already knew he was there and if he was just messing with him, already fearing what would happen if he were caught this far into their plan.

The silence was broken by Belphegor grumbling,"That's strange…I don't remember leaving this drawer open."

Seviathan cursed himself, how could he have forgotten to close the damn thing? He was so fucking dead!

He winced, already preparing for the worst…

But the worst never came as Belpehgor seemed to brush off this instance as he mumbled,"Must've left it open by accident. Though where'd the controller go? Perhaps I misplaced it…Probably should go look for it. Wouldn't want one of my bozo minions thinking it's some type of toy…Eh, I'll do it later. I'm not in the mood to work right now, though I wouldn't mind going for a midnight snack. It's a little chilly here and I could go for a bite."

Seviathan watched from under the bed as Belphegor trudged out of the bedroom, his slippers existing from view and his footsteps becoming quieter and quieter until he could hear nothing at all.

He waited a few moments until he was absolutely certain that he was gone before coming out of his hiding spot. To hsi relief, the coast was clear and his heart rate finally went back to normal, regaining his composure.

"Phew, that was a close one," He exhaled before turning his attention to Belphegor's bed. He couldn't help but find himself curious, figuring that with the man of the house out of view, he could fully examine the area.

Still, he needed to be quick and glanced at Belphegor's pillow before an idea came to him. He reached for the pillow and checked under it, finding Belphegor's keys and smirked.

"Score…" He chuckled as he held the keys up to his then directed his gaze toward his sister who seemed equally relieved as him about their close call and the prizes they had secured.

Helsa then reached out to Seviathan, offering both arms towards him and Seviathan latched on as she helped him up back into the vent, the twins putting in a mutual effort as they worked together.

"Thanks for the save, sis. Probably would've gotten caught without you," He said quietly, just barely above a whisper. It was rare for him to thank anyone and thanking his sister of all people was an experience he never believed would happen in this or any lifetime, a small but present sense of gratitude developing up within him.

Helsa nodded her head with a confident smile on her face, the feeling being returned. Never had the twins felt so connected, as if they truly understood each other at that moment.

Of course, all things had to come to an end and Seviathan ended the moment by saying,"We need to get going. Can't risk him coming back. Let's get out of here while we still can…"

The twins moved forward with their journey, traversing the vents very carefully as they did so. Helsa paused in place and Seviathan caught himself before he could run into her and ask in a whisper,"What's wrong, sis?"

She didn't respond, instead choosing to knock on the vent softly. Not enough to where it would be obvious, but enough to cause a little noise.

Vox laid down in his bunk bed, seemingly sound asleep until he heard the noise from above. His eyes creaked open at the sound as he groaned in response,"Ugh…."

Having the top-bunk, it wasn't uncommon for Vox to hear noises from the vent. He never saw anything most of the time, maybe a rat scampering by or a few spiders crawling about but nothing too unusual.

He thought maybe another rat was stuck in the ventilation system, a large one at that. That was until his eyes peered through the vent and instead of seeing a rat or some other small animal, he saw a pair of icy blue eyes locking onto his pale blue ones.

Vox jolted awake, gasping as he nearly fell off the bed in shock. His heart was racing and thought he was on the verge of a second death out of sheer surprise. Vox was tempted to believe he had hallucinated, because there was no way in Hell that was a rat, those eyes were far too human to belong to any wild animal and he didn't want to think of another type of possibility.

Just then, he heard the vent being unscrewed and gasped as the lid was removed only for Helsa's head to drop down, their gaze meeting each other at equal height.

Vox stared at her in astonishment for spluttering out her name,"H-Helsa? What are you doing here?"

Helsa fell silent, even if she had her voice, she likely would've found it hard to say anything in that moment. It had been so long since she and him had been this close to each other, mere inches apart and she felt a tad nervous for once in her life and was thankful that the darkness concealed most of her expression in that moment.

Only when Seviathan said,"Hey Helsa, who's down there?" Did she bother to snap herself out of that trance?

Vox narrowed his eyes,"Is…is your brother up there?"

"Course I am, who else would it be, Vox?" Seviathan asked,"Listen, I get it's a lot to take in but I think it'd be better if we talked on even ground if you get what I'm saying? Mind letting us down?"

"Alright. Sure…" Vox let Helsa climb down first and despite the darkness, he could still make certain…features that he did his best to not stare at for too long while her brother followed after. They climbed down the ladder of the bunk bed and made it to the floor.

This noise didn't go unnoticed as Angel Dust stirred from his sleep as they came down and jumped,"W-What the? Who the hell let you two in!?"

"We let ourselves in, idiot," Seviathan retorted flatly, sending the former Porn Star a harsh glance that was returned.

"I can see that jackass, I wasn't born fucking yesterday, fuckface," He snapped,"That still doesn't answer my question, how the hell did you get in here?"

"Through the ventilation system," Seviathan said as he pointed up above,"And for your information, I managed to snag a key from those brainless nurses and find the keys to our cells in order to plot our escape…"

"Escape eh?" Angel asked with a cocked eyebrow,"About time, was wondering if we were gonna get out of this joint. Though I have to ask, Princey," He said the nickname with a taunt, mocking Seviathan's title for all it was worth,"Just how exactly do you think we're gonna bust out? Especially without our powers…"

"We don't need our powers so long as we keep quiet."

"That won't mean shit if that lazy asshole can just shock us into compliance," Vox growled,"Unless you know how to get rid of the shock, he's just gonna fucking punish us for daring to escape."

"That's where you're wrong, Vox," Seviathan said,"Because he won't be able to do that. Not anymore…" To explain his point, he pulled out the shock collar controller, causing both Vox and Angel to gasp.

"How did you get that?"

"How else? I went into Belphegor's room and managed to get these babies. Pretty neat, though we should test if we can truly deactivate these…"

Seviathan examined the controller before activating the 'off' button before reaching behind his neck and pulling at the collar and smirked when nothing happened. He then made a few adjustments before pulling the collar off entirely.

The second he did it, the other's followed after, throwing their collars to the ground.

Angel rubbed his sore neck as he stretched,"Holy fuck, finally got that crik in my neck. Damn collar was blocking it but now I'm finally free…."

"About time," Vox grumbled,"Shit was so painful to wear. Feel's wonderful to actually be able to touch my neck without getting shocked because of it. Still, now what?"

"We get out of here obviously," Seviathan said as he pulled out the keys,"Don't worry, I got the keys to all our cells, Belphegor had it under his pillow…"

"Damn, you did have this thought out…Impressive,"Vox complimented,"Real impressive…"

"I'm stunning, I know," Seviathan sneered,"Now let's go-eh?"

Seviathan's eyes widened when Angel snatched the device out of his hand without warning before stomping on it with his heels several times, anger washed over his face as he repeated said motion until it was nothing but bits and pieces.

"You know you could've just asked for it…"

"I don't gotta ask you for shit," He shot back,"You ain't my Mother and you're sure as hell ain't my boss."

"I'm a Prince, you fool, you should heed my words."

"Your royal title don't mean shit to me, Seviathan. Just because this was your idea doesn't mean I gotta take orders from you. Got enough shit to deal with and I sure as hell ain't dealing with a bitchy ex mad that he's been replaced with someone better…"

"You know nothing about me, Angel…"

"But I've seen plenty and I know there's a reason Charlie had it with you so I suggest you watch your mouth, buster."

Seviathan grit his teeth, wanting nothing more than to shove his fist through Angel's face until he was a bloodied pulp. It was taking everything within him to not lose his self control, to not break but then Vox intervened,

"No offense but I think antagonizing each other isn't going to help any of us right now. And believe me, Seviathan, I can't stand Angel that much either but consider not letting him get the better of you, at least hold off your grudge until we're out of this mess, OK?"

"Hmph…" Seviathan scoffed,"Whatever…"

Angel smirked smugly as he whispered,"Pussy…"

Seviathan grit his teeth before forcing himself to move forward, making a move to the cell door and unlocking it from the inside through the bars, granting them freedom.

They then began looking for the other's cells, peering through the cells for their allies in particular. They eventually came upon Husk and Alastor's cell and surprisingly, Alastor was still awake when they got their shared cell.

"Hello friends…" Al said in a far too calm voice for someone in his situation.

Vox stiffened,"How'd you know we were here, Bambi? You can't even see us…"

"One doesn't need sight to know someone's about. Besides, I've memorized the patterns of those who walk among me. Your footsteps are drastically different compared to the ones of the guards and nurses so I knew it wasn't them immediately."

"So you were just sitting here, waiting for us to show up like a creep?"

"Oh don't be so dramatic you pompous snob," He retorted to his rival,"I wasn't waiting for anyone. I was just waiting for time to pass as a way to counter my boredom, especially since Husker over here isn't really much of a talker…." He shrugged,"Still, I do wonder why all of you are here, it's not as if we are allowed to wander aimlessly after hours. Surely you'd punished for that, right?"

"We're here to escape, Smiles,"Angel said,"We ain't gonna get punished no more and we're all getting our freedom no matter what that lazy fucker says. Wanna join?"

"I'd be delighted," Al said, the blind man's mood turning positive at the mention of escape,"I've been waiting for this day to come. Hold on, just a second," He then shouted above,"Husker! The cavalry have arrived!"

Husk grumbled, rubbing his eyes as he hissed,"Al, what the fuck are you even talking about…" His sentence trailed off when he saw the others and noticed the jingling keys in Seviathan's hand, the dots connecting in mere seconds,"Well shit. Can't say I'd be happy to see you freaks but I guess there's a first time for everything…"

Husk stumbled out of bed with Alastor and Seviathan released them before Vox told them that their collars were decapitated. Needless to say, Husk and Al were happy to toss those damn things off of them with great relief.

"Thank fucking god."

"Goodness, my neck is sore…" Al muttered,"Now, where's Niffy? I'd like to see her…"

"We still need to get the girlies, Al, we'll find her when we find her," Angel said.

"Then we better make it quick."

It didn't take long to locate the girls. They unlocked their cells and allowed them out as well as freeing them from the collar around their neck.

"Nice to see you again, Al…"

"As it is to see you, darling,"Al said as he pat Niffty over the head, both of them happy to see each other without any restriction on their person.

Still, not all reunions were positive as grudges were still held.

Velvet sent Helsa a look at how close she was to Vox and said,"Watch it fish-chick, I ain't letting you hurt him again…"

"Vel, not now…" Vox ushered.

"But she-"

"I know, but this isn't the time for it," He admitted.

Velvet scoffed before saying,"I'm still watching you, bitch. One wrong move and it ain't gonna end well for ya," She said this while doing a throat slitting motion.

Helsa didn't seem intimidated by Velvet's threat and merely narrowed her eyes in response.

Vaggie glared at Seviathan as she asked,"Couldn't even bother getting the keys to the cuffs?"

"There wasn't time for it," He retorted,"Besides, I doubt you would've done any better, short-fuse…"

"Are you mocking my hair?" She growled, her voice burning with rage. She was still very sensitive about her hair being cut and took it poorly whenever someone made mention of it, let alone mocked it.

"So what if I am? What are you going to do about it, lady?" He sneered,"I'm not scared of you and if you think I'm going to falter because some bitch with a short temper threatens me than you are sadly mistaken…"

The former Moth Demon was furious, already seeing red. Seviathan was truly pushing her and she wanted nothing more than to strangle the bastard for showing off that malicious grin of his, as if she were glaring at the face of evil itself.

"Watch it, Seviathan,"She threatened,"Because I'll be sure to wipe that smile off your face far sooner than you think…"

"Oh, I'm so scared, Vaggie, can't you see me quivering?" He cackled before turning his back on her,"You're not worth my time nor breath, Vaggie. Quit wasting my time and do something useful by following my lead so we can get out of here…"

Vaggie grit her teeth, her fist clenching as Seviathan walked away from her. Angel put his hand on her shoulder before saying,"Don't take it personally, he's just an asshole, toots."

"I know, but that don't mean I have to put up with him speaking to me like that…Someone's gotta teach him a lesson…"

"I understand the feeling, but let's wait until we're out of this place before we think of teaching anyone shit, OK?"

Seviathan then laughed,"Aw, isn't that sweet? Protecting your friend are we? Pathetic, Angel...Really Pathetic. To think Charlotte saw anything worthwhile in a pathetic excuse of a whore is just sad. Because I'm going to tell you something, Angel, you will disappoint her. She has such high hopes and you'll NEVER fulfill them, no matter how hard you try. And you want to know why? Because once she realizes her dreams of 'redeeming sinners' is all but a waste of time, she'll abandon you in favor of someone better. Someone worthy of her time, because once you stop being useful, she'll drop you faster than you fell to Hell in the first place."

Angel's eye witched,"Don't you dare talk about Charlie like that you piece of shit! You don't know shit about her!"

"I've known Charlie since she was a baby, I think it's fair to say that I know her better than you ever will. You don't see it that only because you've seen waht she wants to has you fooled with her angelic face, but I know that deep down...she's a demon jsut like the rest of us! She may pretend otherwise, act as if she stnads above us all, but I know that deep down...she's got darkness in her. She may hide it from the rest of you and you all may actually believe she's all sweet and innocent, but I've behind that mask. She's not as innocent as you think and when you realize she's just playing you, it'll be far too late..."

Angel Dust grit his teeth at Seviathan,'How dare this motherfucker think he can bad-mouth my girl!?' He thought bitterly. Truth be told, he couldn't give to two shits if Seviathan insulted him. He had worse thrown at him and he could handle such insults in stride so long as he didn't say any homophobic slurs.

What he had no patience for was someone bad-mouthing Charlie. That was his limit and he felt fury building up within him. Had the cuffs suppressing his powers not been on, things would've gotten bloody. It didn't help that Seviathan said those words with the most pretentious and cocky smile in his the history of ever.

"Seviathan, Angel, enough fighting," Husk stepped in,"I get you two don't like each other but we've got a job to do. Save the arguements for when we're outta this joint, alright?"

Seviathan scoffed,"As you wish..."

"Grr..." Angel snarled as violent thoughts coursed through his head.

The group managed to make their way out of the asylum part of the palace. The coast seemed as clear as day and they seemed on the verge of tasting their freedom as of yet. Most were nervous as they were ecstatic as Seviathan lead them forward.

The final step towards freedom was the final leap, and that was making it past the gates that surrounded the palace. Seviathan approached the door and forced the double-doors open and winced when a loud blaring alarm was heard.

"Shit! Everyone, run for it!"

Nobody needed to be told twice as they straight up bolted for an escape. Everyone began to make a mad dash for the gate.

Seviathan gripped his sister's arm as they sprinted across the ground, cursing as he saw several guards flooding out the gate, several showing up from the light posts up above and shining lights on them. He shielding his eyes from the obvious light and as they were approaching the halfway mark, his sister yanked his arm back.

"Sis, what are you doing!?" He hissed.

She then pointed back and saw Vox was on the ground. Apparently he had tripped and was struggling to get back up judging by the looks of things. With how his leg was twisted, he appeared to have a sprain.

"Helsa, it's too risky, we can't go back for him!"

Helsa glared at him before releasing herself from his grip and running back. He cursed as he saw Helsa retreating back for Vox as the soldiers were closing in on them. He knew damn well that even if Helsa got Vox off the ground, they wouldn't make it to the gate due to Vox's injury, meaning they'd both get caught.

Cruising his sister's foolishness, Seviathan reluctantly took a deep breath before grabbing rocks and throwing them in their direction, even managing to hit several with the stones,"HEY YOU BASTARDS! COME AND GET ME!"

This seemed to do the trick and all guards who set sights on Helsa and Vox shifted gears and began to target him, brandishing their weapons with violent intent as they charged.

The Prince of Envy rolled his eyes,'Suckers…Falling for the oldest trick in the book. Belphegor really hired a bunch of simpletons. I should buy those two times…'

Still, that left him with the problem of the horde behind him, especially since he attracted their ire directly at him.

Thankfully he had lo

endurance and speed due to his genetics and the fact he was an athlete but it was still a stressful situation given he had a bunch of angry men breathing down his neck.

Eventually Seviathan was approaching the tall gate that separated them from the outside world; the others' were already climbing over it by now and were making their way across the other side.

On Seviathan's side of the fence, he saw Angel was climbing the way up, the former Moth Demon almost on the other side. Seviathan saw that he was lagging due to the commotion he caused behind and decided to catch up,especially with the crowd hot on his tail.

He latched onto the rail and began to ascend upwards as fast as he could. As he was reaching the top, Seviathan cursed when he accidentally lost his grip on it. His hang slipped and panic surged through his body as he lost the once concrete hold over the gate.

At the last possible second, the unexpected happened. Angel grabbed his hand.

The two locked eyes with each other, a silence coming over them. Seviathan's life was dangling by a thread and Angel Dust was stuck in a predicament.

On one hand, he could easily lift Seviathan over the fence and escape with him. On the other hand, he could just as easily drop him and leave Seviathan behind...

He pondered what he should do, looking around from behind. The other's had since escaped into the forest and were nowhere to be seen, having already fled the scene. None of their allies were aware of the predicament they were in and Angel Dust knew that if he dropped him, nobody would ever find out. No witnesses and getting rid of a thorn in his side would be the perfect crime...

A part of him was a bit hesitant, after all, what would Charlie think of this if she found out?

'But she won't...' He told himself,'She can't see us out here and we ever see her again, I'm certain we can always just find a way to cover this up. Not like anyone would be able to tell. They'd have no proof I did anything and whose word are they truly gonna believe?'

"Are you doing to be lift me up or what, Angel!?" Seviathan snapped,"I'm not getting any younger and I'd appreciate if you were useful for a change by lifting me up on the other side! Quit staring at me like a log and do something!"

Finally coming to a decision, Angel stared back at Seviathan with cold emotionless eyes. Despite the two not exchanging words any further, Seviathan's eyes widened when he felt Angel's grip on his hand loosen as the realization of what was to happen came crashing down. The Prince's entire world collapsed on him as he screamed in terror, his body falling to in mid-air before he plummeted to the ground with a sickening thud.

It didn't take long before those guards lunged at him, yanking his hair back and slamming his face into the dirt. Seviathan was kicking and screaming as he did so but his struggling was in vain. It didn't take long for them to restrain him physically before forcing him up onto his feet despite his body aching, threatening to buckle down where he stood.

His eyes glanced towards the gate and out of the corner of his eye, he saw Angel Dust looking at him for a split second, their eyes locked onto each other in that moment. Despite it only being a second passing, that second felt as though an eternity was going by and he sent him the most hateful glare he could manage. Angel Dust didn't seem fazed by this, appearing indifferent before running off into the wilderness and vanishing from sight.

He snapped out of this when the guards dragged him away, hissing in agony as they pulled him back to the palace. He lowered his eyes with dull acceptance, his hair blowing backwards with the wind as he averted his gaze towards the sky.

"Which one did you manage to retrieve?"

"Frederick's kid. The boy one to be exact."

Belphegor paused before saying,"Oh…I see. Would you mind if I had a talk with him?"

"Of course, you're well within your rights to do so. He's all yours…"

The Lord of Sloth stepped inside the room where Seviathan was being kept. The Prince of Envy had certainly seen better days, bruises covering his face as both his feet and arms were chained to the floor to prevent him getting any ideas.

"If you're here to mock me, go on right ahead. It's not like I can stop you," Seviathan said.

"Mock you? Oh no, Seviathan, I'm not here to mock you…I'm here to help you…" He assured in a far too comforting tone that the Prince didn't trust.

"What?" He retorted,"You're joking right? Are You not aware I plotted this entire escape? I'm the reason everyone got out and I would've gotten out had it not been for that son of a bitch dropping me like that..." He snarled, his eyes filled with anger as the memory of Angel abandoning him to die was burned into his mind.

"I'm very serious, Seviathan. You see, it's not every day someone like you busts out not only yourself but several people out of my asylum in such short notice. Especially given you didn't even have access to your powers. I'd be mad, but truthfully I'm more impressed than anything."

"Get to the point, Belphegor…"

"Straight forward…I like that," He chuckled,"Well, since you insist, I suppose there's no use in hiding it now. After all, Seviathan, I've been waiting for an opportunity to talk to you about this but there simply wasn't a good time."

"What are you talking about?"

"You see, I've been doing research lately and well, I've discovered a few things that might interest me. Like the fine art of Blood Magic, an ability that you possess yet you are far from mastering…"

Seviathan became somewhat intrigued yet apprehensive,"And you're telling me this, why exactly?"

"Because I can help you reach that level of mastery in quite a short amount of time. You just need to agree to my terms…"

"And why should I?" He asked,"Because quite frankly, Belphegor, I don't appreciate being held here against my will and being your guinea pig so unless you have a good reason why I should reconsider your proposition, the answer is no."

"Because, Seviathan, I know what motivates you. Don't you desire your parent's approval? Their love and affection? Isn't that what you've always wanted yet you never seemed to get it?"

"What would you know? You don't know me…"

"Oh, you wound me, Seviathan. That's no way to speak to Uncle Belphie and you know it. Besides, I can see it within those eyes of yours, you truly do desire your parent's love and affection, something that's been robbed of you long ago by another. You don't just seek love, but you seek something else. Something more…volatile…like retribution."

Seviathan glanced downward as he pondered Belphegor's words.

"You've been wronged deeply by someone you cared for, Seviathan. I can tell this resentment has been building up for countless years and you never had the chance to act on it, always denied what was rightfully yours. Does it hurt? Do you get tired of it?"

"What do you think?"

"I thought as much. Emotions are quite a messy yet powerful thing and it can be used for many purposes. But the true key lies in exploiting not only your powers but your emotions for your own again and how it benefits you…"

Seviathan still felt a tad reluctant,"This sounds far too good to be true. How do I know this isn't just some trick so that you can use me as a lab rat like all the other patients you have locked in your basement?"

"Because you're special, Seviathan. I couldn't dare get rid of someone so valuable, especially with abilities as rare as yours. Your potential is far too great to be disposed of and I can tell that we both have something the other wants. You want justice and the love that you are right fly owed while I wish for a perfect soldier who is able to put even my top men to shame. If we can work together, we can both get the things we want if we trust each other."

"Are you certain you can even do the things you're promising?"

"More than certain,"Belphegor said,"I'm many things, Seviathan, but I do not bluff about my greatness. Lying about my abilities would serve no purpose and wouldn't benefit either of us in any way."

"What do I have to do if I agree to your terms?"

"It's quite simple really," He assured,"I simply need to…rewrite a few things about you and perform a ritual to perfect your abilities."

"A ritual? Why would I need a ritual?"

"Blood magic takes years to master, however there are ways to shorten the process and master it at a quicker pace, albeit for a price. It's rather risky and Blood Magic itself is a dark art and a dangerous one at that, but anyone willing to pay the price will reap the benefits."

"What kind of price?"

"I'm not too certain,"He admitted,"But it's a high price to anyone willing to pay. Whether you wish to pay it is up to you, though I would insist you do so for both of our sake's if anything…"

Seviathan furrowed his brows in concentration before ultimately asking,"But what about my sister?"

"Do not worry, Seviathan. We'll find her and when we'll bring her back so that you and your parents can be one happy family just like you've always wanted. Don't you want that?"

Seviathan nodded his head halfheartedly,"Yes…But most of all…I wish to enact justice on all of those who wronged me…"

"And that we shall do, Seviathan," He ushered, patting the man on the shoulder,"We shall enact retribution on those who dared to wrong you in any way. Such a thing is long overdue and I'll be sure to help perfect your being in every way. So…what did you say, nephew? Shall we?"

"We shall…" He replied, agreeing to Belphegor's conditions and terms.

He knew it was foolish accepting such a deal, but at this point, Seviathan card little for it. It wasn't like he had anything left to lose at this point. His allies abandoned him, his name was tarnished and the alternative was staying in a cell for the rest of his life with no future.

He'd much rather put his abilities to good use and pursue his goals.

After all, he still had plenty of unfinished business to attend to and he'd much rather pay the high price of mastering a dangerous art if it meant seeking justice against those who wronged him one way or another. No one would escape his wrath and he'd make sure that he got the higher end of the stick either way.

For far too long, he had been a victim of others who took advantage of him at his lowest point. He was sick of it and it was about time he got his revenge. Angel..Charlotte...all of them would pay and he'd be the one smiling this time around.

'Oh my dear, Charlotte…how you'll have wished your Father killed me all those centuries ago after I'm through with you...' He thought to himself with a twisted grin.
