Check out my DA if you want to see any art on my fic or just my art in general. BTW, I decided to edit last chapter with Mammon and Seviathan just a bit so that's a head's up.

Impersonation. The act of pretending to be another person with lies and deception for selfish gain. A cruel facade of imitation in order to trick another party into believing you were someone else, whether that be a family member, a dear friend or even a colleague.

Those who adorned the mask of another had to be skilled and know their target. Often they made mistakes which caused them to be exposed to the ones they attempted to fool and all ended well…

But there were those who were able to adorn the mask perfectly and perform the con with ease. Seviathan was one of those few gifted enough to capture the art of imitation to its fullest potential.

You may ask how Seviathan was able to imitate Helsa so easily? How was he able to walk amongst the others without drawing suspicion?

It was quite simple really, Seviathan had come to know his sister's mannerisms to every detail. They had been confined in the same living space a good portion of time ever since they had fallen into this godforsaken realm.

The Prince had come to know his sister well, especially with her muteness making it more vital than ever to understand her through her body language than through her words. It was an absolute necessity to read his other half's expressions to understand her properly, especially in times of crisis.

For the vast majority of their journey, Seviathan and Helsa found themselves knitted together for the longest time and while the Mad Prince now found himself on the opposing side, he still remembered his time with his sister well…

To many, Helsa was unreadable and untouchable, the living embodiment of a Snow Queen with a heart colder than ice.

But Seviathan knew that his sister was more than a cold, unfeeling bitch and that even she had feelings no matter how much she tried to deny it.

The untouchable facade she put out made her feared yet garnished adoration from her admirers.

Long before they fell to this realm, Helsa had countless wannabee-suitors stripping over themselves in a foolish gambit for her affection.

Whether that be through sending her explicit letters detailing their infatuation for her or the literal stalkers following her in RL or Social Media, Helsa was being showered with praise and affection to the point Seviathan considered it sickening.

After all, Helsa would never pay them any mind if she encountered her suitors on the streets. At most she'd either tease them before forgetting them the next day or if she was in a foul mood, she'd humiliate them for the hell of it.

Want to know the worst part about it all?

That even if they were humiliated in public, they STILL sought after her even when it was obvious Helsa saw them as a bunch of tools.

All the guys who chased her were almost mindless drones in the sense that even when blatantly rejected, they STILL continued to lust after someone who saw them as nothing more than inconvenience at best and a nuisance at worst.

It was a travesty really, to see his sister have such a sparkly reputation in comparison to his. His name was dug into the mud over a bunch of lies and yet Helsa had a far better reputation than him despite being the living embodiment of 'Little Miss Heartbreaker'.

He could never truly understand how effortlessly Helsa outshined him, even when he desperately did his best to try and stack up. No matter what he did, he always fell short and what little affection their parents' showed them, the compliments and praises typically slid her way.

Perhaps it was because they never believed Helsa would be Queen due to her status as the second-born. All the serious responsibilities had been saddled onto him while Helsa went out on trips to the Spa with her minions-I mean, friends.

'It wasn't fair…none of it was..' He thought bitterly to himself only for a terrifying grin to grow underneath his mask,'But that shall soon change once I break Vox's pathetic heart and deal with these traitors once and for all. They will know true suffering, all of them! They will rue the day they left me to die…'

As Seviathan brewed with vengeful thoughts, he was suddenly snapped out of his malicious convictions when Charlie suddenly approached him.

'Charlotte…' He thought her name resonated with pure spite within him. A person he had once loved had grown to loathe as time passed and the mere sight of a deceivingly innocent face was enough to make him cringe with hate…

Still, Seviathan knew better to attack. As defenseless as she looked, he knew she was quite the screamer and that the others were nearby. Not to mention he still had to settle business with Vincent before he even thought of hurting Charlotte.

Besides, a part of him was curious about what his precious ex wanted out of him, or rather Helsa to be exact given he was assuming his sister's identity as of now.

So he refrained from losing control and instead shot his ex-girlfriend a hateful gaze.

Considering Helsa's and Charlie's poor relationship, it wasn't exactly a secret that Helsa despised the Princess of Pride and with this in mind, he was given a bit of leeway in that he could disrespect Charlie without worrying about blowing his cover since Helsa being bitchy to Charlie was completely normal by their standards.

The Prince of Envy narrowed his eyes at his ex-girlfriend before adjusting his pose properly and appearing arrogant yet lady-like as his sister often strived to be.

If there was one thing Seviathan knew all too well about his sister, it was that she wanted to appear haughty and composed before enemies and allies alike.

"Hey Helsa, I was wondering when I'd see you around…" Charlie said calmly, her beady eyes unfazed by the death glare she was receiving. She had been given many over the years she had known Helsa so she likely didn't bat an eye at who she believed was 'Helsa' glaring daggers in her direction.

Despite saying nothing, the way Seviathan's golden eyes glistened made it clear that he wished for Charlie to state her purpose.

"I just wanted to talk to you actually…" She admitted,"You know you missed breakfast, right?"

Seviathan raised an eyebrow at her skeptically,'Since when does she care that 'sister' missed breakfast? When was it any of her business what I do in my spare time? Why does it matter that I 'missed' their stupid breakfast?'

"Vox was wondering where you went," She explained, as if knowing what Seviathan was thinking at that moment.

"What relevance does he have in this conversation?" He remarked through sign language, not certain what Charlie was getting at.

"Don't you get it, Helsa?" She asked,"Vox was worried about you and he thought that something was wrong when you avoid contact with anyone this morning. Not to mention, he claimed that you hadn't eaten today and he thought that you were neglecting yourself…"

Seviathan scoffed as he rolled his eyes, he had been doing anything but 'neglecting' himself and Vox's care for his sister was almost , almost. Truthfully, he found it pathetic and irritating if anything that Vox cared so much for Helsa, especially since he was inconveniencing him.

Charlie frowned deeply,"You don't need to roll your eyes, Helsa. You should be grateful someone cares about you, not everyone is as lucky to have someone who genuinely cares about them and you shouldn't take it for granted…"

The Prince scowled underneath his mask. Had his twisted grin been capable of frowning he would've no doubt had the biggest frown imaginable on his face.

How dare this blonde bitch lecture him on having someone who 'cared' about him! Even though the statement was meant to be addressed to his sister, the fact Charlie thought she had any right to judge infuriated him to no end.

After all, what would Charlie know about not being lucky to have anyone to love her? She was adored by her parents and for her to lecture him about love after robbing him of his prime parents' love and soiling his reputation for centuries, she dared to lecture him!?

The nerve of her…

'Patience, Seviathan…You will have your justice soon..' He told himself in an attempt to ease the anger building within him.

In an attempt to remain collected, he merely gazed back at Charlie with eyes filled to the brim with contempt for the blonde before him. He couldn't compromise the mission this early, not when he didn't have Mammon's concubine under his control.

"Helsa, I know the two of us aren't exactly friends and I won't lie, there's a lot of unresolved tension between us, however, I do believe that we can be friends if we put our differences aside. Which is precisely why I made this," Charlie then bestowed a an wooden bowl filled with fruit and vegetables, a colorful dish and one that seemed to made with care,"Angel and I scavenged for food for everyone and after Vox talked about how worried he was I decided to save you a special bowl and offer to you as a peace offering."

The Feral Prince glared at the fruit dish with great offense. It was a spit to the face in his opinion, for Charlie to think just offering some stupid meal would change anything between them.

Even if she wasn't aware of his true identity, the fact she thought either twin would've accepted something like this as a peace offering was downright insulting! And as far as Seviathan has occurred, Charlie's apology was not only an insult but a disgrace to him as well.

And thus, Seviathan's response of shoving the damn thing out of Charlie's hands and stomping on the contents with his boots until it was nothing but mush under his heel came off as no surprise. He had shoved Charlie so hard that she fell flat on her back from the amount of strength exerted and let out a 'oof' as she collided with the ground.

Charlie seemed…disappointed but not surprised. Helsa was the type to resort to violence whenever truly peeved and if you dared offend her, she'd no doubt strangle you with her hair if given the chance…

While she was sure Helsa didn't possess the ability to use her hair as a weapon, she still was wary given Helsa had ice powers and didn't want to end up a frozen Popsicle because the Princess of Envy got triggered by her attempts to befriend 'her.'

"I had a feeling you were going to react that way…" She mumbled under her breath, seemingly expecting this sort of reaction from who she truly believed was 'Helsa' at that point. This was completely in-character and she was none the wiser to the true identity of the person she was speaking to.

The Prince of Envy glared at Charlie hatefully and for a moment, Charlie felt rather uneasy.

Now don't get wrong, she had been sent many hateful glares by Helsa in the past, too many to count at this point in her life. But something felt different, those eyes…the glare in 'Helsa's' eyes made her heart froze for a split second.

She didn't know why she felt so frightened, it was just Helsa after all, but that glare…those eyes…something about them made her stomach churn with great sense of apprehension. She could feel the overwhelming disdain and malice in 'her' eyes and it was unlike anything she had ever seen before…

Thankfully before any further attempts of violence could be made, Angel Dust suddenly arrived on the scene and rushed to Charlie's aid,"Babe, are you OK? What happened!?"

"I'm fine," Charlie assured as Angel helped her to her feet,"Helsa just didn't appreciate the gesture of friendship that's all…"

Angel growled, the horned male hissed at Seviathan with anger burning within his eyes,"Hey! What the fuck is the big idea Ice Bitch? Charlie was just trying to offer you food and your response is to push her? What is your problem!?"

Seviathan scoffed, refusing to grant Angel a reply to his questions. Instead, the Prince of Envy glared at Angel with more hate than before.

'This son of a bitch…' He thought to himself,'How dare Charlie choose this traitorous beast over me! Oh how I wish I could end him now…But alas, I have a mission and I will not jeopardize it over some drug-addicted Porn Star.'

He didn't grant Angel a response and instead, put his nose up at him in response.

"Hey, don't ignore me!" Angel snapped,"Apologize you fucking bitch! Don't just ignore me!"

"Angel, don't," Charlie urged,"Don't engage. It's not worth it. I know it's annoying but this is typical Helsa behavior and I honestly should've expected such a response. She's not exactly the type to like people 'befriending' her. Let's just let this go and pretend nothing happened."

Angel snarled,"What? Charlie, ya can't just settle for less just because this is how 'she's always been'! It don't matter if she's been like this for centuries, she can't just fucking shove ya around like you're a rag-doll when you've done nothing ot her!" He then stormed up to Seviathan and hissed as he got in his face,"I don't know what the fuck your problem is but you need to apologize this instant!"

Seviathan grit his teeth under his mask, Angel was FAR, FAR too close for his comfort and he managed to grab Seviathan's by the fur part of his collar and forced him to look in the eye as he hissed at him.

"Angel, release Helsa, now," Charlie commanded, knowing all too well that this conflict would only get uglier if Angel continued to get in 'her' personal space…

"I'll release her once she fucking apologizes and stops being a bitch," He snapped as he looked back at him,"For the life of me, I do not understand what Vox sees in you. You ain't that pretty and your personality is godawful. Then again, I suppose awful personalities run in the family since your brother was an insufferable twat and I'm honestly glad he didn't make the journey…"

Seviathan's eyes flared up, that sentence had truly struck a nerve and he quickly grabbed Angel's wrist and twisted it as the brunette let out a pained cry before he jumped on him before restraining the former Sinner to the ground.

The procedure took no more than a few seconds and the speed and skill he used to pull off such a feat had been ingrained in him for quite some time.

If there was one thing that Frederick and Bethesda did right with their parenting, it was that they made sure that Seviathan knew how to fight not only with a weapon, but in hand-to-hand combat in order to defend himself from threats.

All the training specialized in subduing and neutralizing the threats, usually in fatal manners but as much as Seviathan desired Angel's death, he knew killing him in front of Charlie would be a poor decision on his head, especially while he was impersonating his sister.

Angel was completely unprepared for such a maneuver and while he did try and get out, Seviathan made sure to keep him down despite his squirming.

"Helsa, stop!" Charlie demanded and tried to force Seviathan off of Angel desperately but unfortunately, physical strength wasn't her strong suit in this timeline,"Let Angel go! You're hurting him!"

Seviathan scoffed, not appreciating the biased response. Apparently Angel was free to lay his hands on him and insult him but the second he responded, he was getting bitched at by his ex for being too 'hard' on him.

Regardless, Seviathan decided to release Angel shortly afterwards but not before kicking him in Charlie's direction to deal with before storming off into the forest, leaving the two behind to recover.

"You alright, Angel?" Charlie asked.

"Eh, I've been better," He admitted, shrugging off the pain he felt,"Though I gotta admit, for a Princess, she's got an iron grip when it comes down to it. I swear my blood circulation cut off for a second because of how tight that bitch was on me."

"Helsa can be full of surprises. I can't say I've ever seen her handle someone like that so quickly though. It's kind of freaky how she just got you to the ground like that without even batting an eye…"

"Must've gotten trained for it because I've never seen someone take down another person like that naturally," Angel said,"Did her parents decide to get her into martial arts?"

"I can't recall them doing so. Helsa was always into the more…magical side of fighting if anything. She's not the type to get her hands dirty unless she has to but I suppose maybe she could've picked up a few things while I wasn't looking."

"Whatever she did, it ain't nothing to joke about," The Porn Star whined,"She may look like a dainty girl but god, she's got some serious upper body strength to pull that one me…"

"Are you hurt badly? I'm sorry for getting you involved in this…it shouldn't have even got violent. I just wanted us to be friends…I don't get what I did wrong this time. I was perfectly friendly and yet she threw my efforts back in my face," Charlie asked, empathizing greatly with Angels' pain as she rubbed his shoulders.

Angel chuckled as he patted the blonde over the head,"I'm fine, Charlie, I'm just a little sore that's all. I've been through way worse. It's gonna take more than a little shove to get me down. Don't beat yourself up over it, it ain't your fault your rival is a petty cunt."

"I know…but you know you didn't['t have to…tell her that about her brother you know. That was a kind of a low blow…"

"Tch, babe, I didn't mean it. I was just poking fun at her, not my fault she can't take a joke. Besides, what matters is that she left us be and that's what truly matters. Come on, let's go hang out with the others. I'm sure that'll make the two of us feel better…"

The two headed back to where the others resided back at camp. Everyone was more or less relaxing as much as they could in that moment, trying to enjoy what little peace that had while it still lasted.

"Hey Charlie…How'd it go?" Vox asked only to wince at the sorrowful glance he received from the Princess.

"It…could've been better…" She grumbled,"Not only did Helsa not appear hungry but she also didn't seem to appreciate my gift of 'friendship' to her and responded rather poorly when asked…"

"Not to mention she fucking attacked me," Angel added flatly.

"What? She did? That…doesn't sound like her…" He mumbled, bemused by this revelation,"What did you do, Angel?"

"I didn't do anything," He defended,"What? Do you find it so hard to believe your little girlfriend would attack me?"

"First off, she's not my girlfriend, second of all, I find it very hard to believe she'd attack you without provocation, especially given your rather…insensitive personality…"

"Pfft, ain't my fault she's a snowflake," The Former Porn Star spoke under his breath, though Vox was able to hear him just fine.

Vox scoffed,"What did you say, Angel?"

"Nothing…" Angel said though Vox continued to give him incredulous stare for what felt like eternity but was at most a couple seconds before huffing and saying,"Alright fine, I fucking told her that I was glad her brother didn't make the trip…"

"You did what?" Vox growled,"Oh my god, Angel, you moron! Why would you say that? That is the WORST thing you could've told her! You know she was upset we had to leave Seviathan, why would you bring that up?"

"I didn't think she'd take it that personally. It was just supposed to be a quip," He defended, though Vox seemed to view it as a flimsy excuse if anything.

"Oh sure you didn't," He growled,"Is everything just a joke to you, Angel?"

"Well-"

"Don't answer that," Vox cut in,"It doesn't matter anyway. Look, do you at least know where she is? Because if she's not with you and she's not with us then…"

"I saw her walk off in the other direction though I'm not certain where," Charlie admitted,"I think she might've just headed off into the woods."

"Of course she did," He sighed,"She did that last time when she was upset at me…She's always quick to distance herself when she's angry and no doubt Angel set her off now…"

"Hey, Vox, let's not get too pessimistic. I'm certain she'll come back on her own accord just like she did the other day…," Charlie eased.

"You mean if she comes back," Al informed.

"What do you mean 'if' Bambi?" Vox said hastily, sounding slightly concerned despite his best efforts of remaining calm.

"You know people can get caught up in their emotions, far too much for their own good. She might just decide she doesn't want to come back after what Angel said to her…"

"Dammit," The TV Demon grit his teeth, he hated to admit his arrival had a point but he knew Helsa well enough to know that she'd definitely distance herself from others out of spite.

She had just done something similar the other day and he'd hate to repeat the incident just because Angel couldn't keep his mouth shut.

He then sighed,"I'm going after her…"

"Really Vox?" Velvet asked,"You know you're not her Dad, right? You don't gotta pursue her every time she runs away ..."

"I'm aware, Velvet. That doesn't mean I can't go searching for her. She can't keep running away every time she gets upset and I'd hate for something like this to become a habit. Besides, I think I'm the only one she's really comfortable around with her brother gone so I think it's only fitting I'm the one to drag her back here."

"You should probably give her some space, Vox," Husk said,"Helsa's probably a little peeved about the argument and she might not respond well to you trying to take her back immediately. A few hours should be enough to cool her down…"

"I don't know Husk, I just don't feel safe knowing she's out there alone…"

"Relax, she did it before? Besides, you know Helsa can defend herself if need be.A little time alone wont hurt her. If she doesn't come back when it's close to dark, feel free together…"

"I will…" Vox said,"I just hope nothing bad happens before I check up on her…"

Despite this advice, Velvet could tell that her friend was rather nervous and she pat him on the shoulder in an attempt to comfort him. He didn't respond and merely looked away, causing her face to fall slightly…

She had seen Vox get like this after a breakup and if the breakup was more awful than usual, he would shut himself away for a certain period of time.

The first time she saw him like this she thought he had rebooted until she went to touch him and the dimness on his screen adjusted to normal.

Eventually, Vox would 'return' to normal and eventually 'make up' with Val, buying him a gift that Val wanted and having some sex on the side and everything would seem alright t and they'd be happy…before the cycle repeated itself over and over again.

Except this time, there was no Valentino involved in this situation. It was just Helsa and Vox and their…thing together…

She wasn't sure to call it a relationship since Vox hadn't really called Helsa his girlfriend and seemed to reject the mention of them being an item.

Whether that be because he didn't want to or because he was certain how he truly felt at the notion of getting back in the love department remained to be seen, but she knew Vox well enough to know when the man was in love and that he was damn near helpless in his endeavor to win this person over whether they truly felt the same or not…

The Doll Demon truly felt uncertain about Helsa, even if she had mellowed down, she was hard to read and whether she liked Vox or was just using him again made her nervous….

All she knew was that if Vox came crying to her about how Helsa broke his heart again, it wasn't going to end well for either of them…

The Prince of Envy tore through the flesh of the two male deer he had encountered in the middle of the woods while he had been out.

The poor bucks must've been competing over a female as their horns had gotten stuck together and when Seviathan had encountered them, he had been feeling rather hungry…

Besides, to him, it was better he drank their blood and got his fill than leaving them there to starve or get picked off by other predators like a bear or wolf.

It didn't take long for him to consume their life essence. The deer had long since expired, no thanks to the Prince literally tearing into their necks with his monstrous jaws as they bled out. It was a painful death but one that brought Seviathan the uppermost of satisfaction…

Once he was done, Seviathan licked the blood off of his fingertips and lips as he stood over the corpses with twisted glee.

Call him unhinged(you may, he doesn't care) but the sight of seeing the bloodless corpses was enough to make his twisted, decaying heart beat with pride. He had not left a single drop within them and while it was likely easier to just tear their bodies apart until nothing was left, he felt no need to exert such energy over mere prey.

"Ah…how refreshing…" He mused to himself in a sadistic yet quiet tone, allowing himself to speak in his normal voice,"Fear makes the blood take much richer…Poor vermin never stood a chance…" He cackled.

Once done with this task, Seviathan quickly regrouped himself before pulling himself together and pulling up his mask once more and taking his leave.. He had no use for them any longer and it was about time he took his leave.

That meal satisfied his never-ending hunger for the time being and now that he had his fill, he figured he'd leave the raw flesh to whatever critter was wandering about for his sloppy seconds.

Despite being satisfied, his anger still remained gnawing inside of him…

'Oh how I loathe that bastard…' He thought to himself, thankful he had fled so far out into the woods he was able to act on his instincts without risking his cover as no one had bothered to pursue him as of yet despite all the hours that passed.

It was probably a good thing he had departed else he would've worn that man apart limb from limb if he stayed a second longer.

The nerve of that degenerate for laying his hands on him and acting as if his absence had nothing to do with him. His innocent act was painstakingly nauseating and Seviathan couldn't wait to enact justice against his betrayers…

Regardless, he figured that could wait. After all, he was on a mission and he still had to fulfill those requirements before he sought out retribution no matter how much he craved it.

Seviathan then began to walk further and further into the forest for the longest time until he heard the sound of running water with his enhanced hearing. Curious, he followed the sound and ended up discovering a waterfall…

From the bottom of the waterfall, it was truly quite a sight and even when the moon was out, its beauty was truly something to behold…

However, seeing this running water source did give him an idea.

His clothes after all did have blood stains on them and inevitably he'd have to go back to camp. Having those stains on would be quite noticeable and this water source provided him the perfect place to wash the blood out.

He had been quite messy with his kill due to having taken his anger out on those animals and a fair pit got on his uniform. Nothing that couldn't be scrubbed out but it was still something that needed to be done to avoid further suspicion…

So the Prince headed over to the edge and began to undress himself, tensing up at the cool night air that hit his skin. Seviathan stripped himself down bare, removing his mask as well before stepping foot in the water…

He sighed, it had been a long while since he had stepped foot in water where it went up to his waist. Not enough to where he felt the need to turn into his siren form, but it was enough to conceal his lower parts.

Not that I needed it given his hair was already doing a wonderful job, concealing his chest and his groin.

The Envious Prince grabbed his bloodied clothing and began to scrub the blood off of the dress.

To help with the process, he used his powers to force the blood out of the fibers to ensure not a spot of red remained and absorbed the blood into his skin as to not allow a speck of his meal to go to waste.

Once he was positive he had removed all of it, he tossed the dress back to shore to dry. As he waited for his clothing to be dry enough for the journey back, Seviathan decided that bathing inside of the waterfall wouldn't hurt and decided to relax…

He took his sweet time at the waterfall, standing beneath the flow that slowly poured onto his head. The flow wasn't rapid and the water was fairly cool at this time of night. His eyes shut, feeling a rare sense of peace as his eyes were in shroud…

The only sounds Seviathan heard were the occasional chirps of the birds of the howling cries of the wolves along with the sounds of running water. Perhaps a few leaves blew in the wind but that was hardly anything worth noting.

For a moment, he felt a tad alone as he bathed himself and began to hum and had the audacity to use his sister's voice as he did so, using her hauntingly beautiful singing voice to hum a wordless tune to the wind…

It was beautiful, hauntingly so. Like a lonely spirit in a graveyard. His voice was alluringly soul-stirring and could've put anyone listening under a wistful trance.

As he sang, the Prince of Envy began to put his fingers through his hair. His long, luscious, altered hair. Mimicking his sister's appearance caused him to grow this ludicrously long length of locks, the curls becoming matted in the water.

Hearing his sister's voice made him feel at ease..for even though his sister wasn't on his side and had abandoned him just like all the other traitors, he still could hear her soothing voice in his ear and brought back memories…

He wrung out his hair, allowing the water to fall below with his eyes shut….

Until he heard the sound of a tree branch snapping in the distance, his singing came to a halt right then and there. His eyes opened slowly and turned to the attention of the sound. The little moonlight available allowed him to see someone hiding amongst the trees…

His eyes flickered and through the darkness, his enhanced vision managed to see Vox hiding in the trees. His vision made it so that while Vox saw only what the moonlight reflected, he was able to see him just fine…

He smirked, Vox must've noticed he was staring at him and hid behind a tree out of embarrassment for being discovered.

Who knew, without the ability to hide behind a screen, the TV Overlord was not only a peeping Tom, but a shy one at that.

The Prince cackled in the darkness, taking advantage of the situation. He then submerged himself under water before swimming back to the surface and grabbing his clothing and putting it on.

It was a tad soggy but he was certain that in another hour or two it'd be completely dry in no time…

He slipped his boots on and placed his mask back over his face before heading out to find Vox. He already had the man's scent and he could practically feel the electricity pumping through his veins, the sweet taste did make him salivate for a moment…

'Control yourself, Seviathan…you already ate earlier…As tempting as his blood is, you cannot kill him, not when you still have a mission to do. You gave Mammon your word that you'd return his precious little servant,'He berated himself, grasping his head as he sought to ignore the bloodlust clouding his mind…

He forced himself to focus and after putting back these urges, he headed out to pursue Vox. He eventually spotted him hiding behind a bush out of the corner of his eye and whilst at him.

Vox flinched upon being discovered and saw 'Helsa' motioning him to come over to him through the darkness. To Seviathan's utter delight, he came right over without hesitation…

When he approached Seviathan, he took notice of Vox's rather…flushed expression as he struggled to make eye contact.

"You were watching me…" Seviathan signed to him and even through the darkness, Vox clearly saw what he was saying to him as his expression became even more flustered.

"I..uh…don't know what you mean…" He stammered.

The Prince scoffed, Vox was an awful liar when it came to finding excuses around something so blatantly obvious and impossible to deny.

"You can't deceive yourself, much less me, Vox…There's no shame in having taste," He retorted and while he hadn't used his voice, it was obvious there was some snark in that sentence,"Though if you really wanted to look, you could've just asked…"

The TV Demon averted his gaze, his pale gray skin lighting up like a flame. He was too flustered to dare say anything and Seviathan had to admit that it was absolutely hilarious seeing how pathetically infatuated Vox was with his sister if this was what he acted around him…

In an effort to move the conversation away from the uncomfortable topic, Vox cleared his throat before saying,"I am…hadn't meant to discover you like this, Helsa. I was just trying to find you since it got awfully late and you hadn't returned to camp and I was…worried about you…"

"Oh? You were? How 'touching'..." Seviathan sneered,"You do know I can take care of myself though, don't you, Vox?"

"I know…I just…thought that after you the..skirmish you had with Angel that you might decide you didn't want to come back…"

"Who told you this?"

"Charlie did. Why?"

"Oh, of course she did…She probably too also neglected to mention that he laid his hands on me first all because I didn't want Charlie's stupid little 'friendship' gift and shoved it out of her hands and she fell with it…"

"You shoved her? Seriously Helsa?"

"It wasn't on purpose," He retorted, folding his arms across his chest in a huff,"I only wished to get rid of the gift for if I truly wished to hurt Charlie, I would've exerted far more force.I hadn't expected her to be so weak and easy to push…"

Vox rolled his eyes,"Even then, was it necessary to reject her so harshly? I get you two are rivals but you probably could've just told her you weren't interested. What has done to you that makes you so angry?"

The Prince grit his teeth,"I'd rather not speak of it…"

The TV Demon frowned but decided not to press 'her'. He knew Helsa didn't like being questioned over her reasoning, no matter how valid your concerns were and that it was best to let her have her little feud with Charlie.

"OK. Fair enough…I just wanted to say that I'm sorry that Angel said that to you…"

"Hmm?"

"About your brother…I uh..don't know what possessed him to think saying that was a good idea but it was really uncalled for. I can see why you're upset about that and I'm not gonna defend what he said but I do think storming off to who knows where whenever you're upset is not a good way to deal with this…"

"And what would you know about healthy ways of dealing with anger? Had I stayed, I would've caused far more harm to him than a sore wrist…"

"Helsa, I've had my fair arguments in my lifetime. A lot of it was over the dumbest, pettiest shit imaginable. I understand being upset, hell, angry even but distancing yourself like this isn't going to help. Especially since we're still on the run. It's dangerous to be alone and in a place as big as this, who knows who or what is lurking out there…"

"And what is the alternative that you suggest I do whenever I'm upset?"

"Well..I'm probably not the best person for this but if you truly feel the need to distance yourself, you can always talk to me. I know you're not fond of the others but I'm willing to hear you out if you need me…"

"You will?"

"Of course, it's the least I can do for you…" He then reached out and grabbed Seviathan's hand,"Besides, it's better to deal with things with another person on your side than alone, isn't it?"

"I suppose it is…" He admitted,"Though must we return so soon? My legs are quite sore and I'd rather sit here and rest…"

"Are you certain about that, Helsa? You know we have to get back to camp and that there are animals out here-" He was then silenced by Seviathan putting his finger up to his lips in an almost playful manner.

"Hush now, there's no need to be so animals will not bother us…" He retorted,"Besides, what harm is there staying out late? No one is here to bother us and it's not like the others will come searching. It'll just be the two of us, alone…together…"

Seviathan then motioned for him to follow him,"Come, I know a good spot to rest for a while…"

The TV Demon followed Seviathan and they saw a large tree that provided quite a large amount of shade nearby. The Prince motioned for him to sit down and Vox obliged only to gasp when 'Helsa' used his lap as a pillow.

Vox's eyes widened at this sudden change in position before relaxing ever so slightly. He hadn't had anyone lay on his lap like this in a long time and having 'Helsa' cuddled up against him made his entire face burn and he didn't dare move…

Then again, even if he did want to move, Helsa's body made that an impossible task since 'she' was a lot heavier than she appeared and he didn't want to disturb her slumber…

As he watched her sleep, Vox couldn't help but look at her face.

He had seen it so many times throughout his journey in this timeline but he couldn't help but stare at how beautiful she was. He had seen many pretty women in his life, both on Earth and in Hell. Beautiful babes were a dime a dozen especially in the underworld though he knew not to stare too much whenever Val was around since the moth tended to get jealous rather easily.

But Helsa was far more beautiful than any of those he had ever seen. Her visage was akin to that of an Angel and he lapped it up like a parched pleasant drinking a chalice of wine.

Her resting face was so deceivingly innocent..it was as if she weren't an Envious Spawn of Sin and rather an Angel from the skies above.

The Demoness was like an Angelic Panther, so deceivingly beautiful yet deadly at the same time. A creature from Hell shouldn't have possessed such beauty and loveliness yet Helsa proved even the fiery pits of Hell possessed the ability of creating Heavenly Creatures.

He couldn't help but touch her, gently playing with her long locks of raven hair. His fingers entangle themselves in that ocean of rich hair with a smile on his face. No doubt Helsa took great pride in her hair to get it to this length and the feeling of it was like heavenly silk between his fingers and a part of him wished he could toy with it forever despite how ridiculous the request sounded…

Her face was truly something to behold…and it reminded him of a love he possessed so long ago. She bore a resemblance to his late wife and a part of him couldn't help but see the similarities for what they were worth…

He knew they were different people, that his dear wife was dead and gone, but that didn't mean he couldn't find love with someone similar, right? Surely that's what she'd want…to have a person who he could love and cherish as well as compliment their beauty.

Yet he couldn't do that…Not fully anyway.

For Helsa, for whatever reason, had this strange mask on. It wasn't bad looking or anything but he did wish he could remove it so he could see the rest of her face.

A part of him knew he shouldn't do it…but he truly did just wish to see her without the cloth. So he reached down and tried to gently take it off…only to have his wrist grabbed tightly when he was mere inches away from grasping it.

He hissed in surprise and his eyes darted to see that 'Helsa's' eyes had snapped awake and that' she' was glaring at him harshly. 'Her' grip hurt like Hell and Vox swore the blood circulation to his wrist was going to get cut off just from how tight it was.

Despite not words being exchanged, it was obvious that he had overstepped a boundary and touched a part of 'her' that 'she' wasn't comfortable with him seeing or touching for that matter.

A pit of shame developed in him and he quickly retracted before mumbling out an apology to 'her'. He quickly decided the best choice of action to avoid further escalation was to close his eyes and go to sleep…

As Vox fell asleep, Seviathan stared at the sleeping man above him,'Hmph..About time he went to sleep. And he's easy to manipulate, one glare and he folds completely.'

The Prince was amused, his impersonation of Helsa was flawless. He had mimicked her every mannerism perfectly, from her voice, to the way she spoke and the way she behaved.

His sister's personality was all too easy to emulate. After all, he was her other half and she couldn't hide her true self from him during all those months of confinement. She had no need to and he was one of the few people she granted the privilege of seeing beneath that uncaring front she put off.

He had seen her frustration, her hurt, and her terror.

Oh how he relished the sight of Helsa's horror upon seeing how he mimicked her very voice. Even the Queen of Mean had fears and seeing him take her place must've struck a chord within her icy heart…

Seducing the poor man was barely even a challenge and he had him particularly eating out of his palm. He almost felt sorry for what he'd do to him down the line…but then he'd be lying now, wouldn't he?

Not even his precious ex girlfriend, Charlotte, Helsa's rival, hadn't noticed the difference between the two of them. If Charlie couldn't recognize him, then what hope did the others have at figuring him out?

'These traitors don't know won't hit them…' He cackled to himself, patiently biding his time for the right moment to strike.

They would all know his pain and he'd be certain to make them regret abandoning him to die long ago and perhaps afterwards, he and sister could finally be a family again once she forgot about her little boy-toy...
