Chapter 010: Finding the Lost (Edited)
"I did not think he was so clumsy." Mary Jane said as she watched Peter fall for the sixth's time tonight.
"I guess it is compensation for that big brain of his." Danny said knowing full well that Peter was faking as his powers kept him incredible reflexes and coordination.
He would however use the opportunity to take pictures that Peter would find embarrassing later.
"I have always liked Pete's determination to not let anything stop him." Mary Jane said. "He is really going all out to impress Gwen even if he lacks the skill."
"It is making her smile too." Danny said.
"I am glad to see Gwen smile again." Mary Jane said.
"She has had it rough since her mom left." Danny said.
According to Mary Jane since Mrs. Stacy left Gwen spent a lot of time alone in her house since her dad was busy with work. He tried to be there for Gwen but he was not used to it and so it was awkward for the both of them.
"I hope she is miserable wherever she is." Mary Jane said with a glare as she looked into the distance. "She left without saying anything or giving Gwen a way to reach her."
"This is not the kind of talk I want to have with you. Let's go skating." Danny said standing up and holding out his arm for Mary Jane to take.
"Alright." Mary Jane said as she grabbed on to his hand and let him pull them towards the rink.
The giant tree that had yet to be decorated towered above them. He wanted to be here on Christmas eve to see if it was as beautiful as they said it was. The original hated Christmas but he wanted to form his own opinion.

"This is going to be troublesome." Danny said as he watched an interview of a man claiming that he was going to hunt Spider-Man once the weather was better in New York.
Seems like Peter was getting his own version of Skulker. The good bit of news was that it seemed that the man was just a man. No superpowers at all so it would only take a light tap to knock him out.
His ghost sense activated.
"That will have to wait." Clockwork said appearing before him.
"What is going on now?" Danny asked as he turned from the frozen television.
"The Xavier students have been kidnapped." Clockwork said.
Hearing that caused his eye to start twitching in annoyance.
"The X-Men got kidnapped again?" Danny asked as he ran his hand through his hair.
For superheroes they sure were not prepared for people to storm the mansion and take them away. After he rescued them, he was going to advise Professor Xavier to higher better security.
"No, the X-Men are currently in London as part of their tour. The ones that have been take away are the students." Clockwork said. "Even if they were aware of what happened they are soon going to be too busy to do anything about it."
"What do you mean?" Danny asked.
"There is a mutant that will soon be going on a rampage." Clockwork said shifting to his young adult form. "It will be difficult, but the X-men will manage in the end."
'This must be some mutant.' Danny thought as stood up. "Where are the students?"
"They are on the Island of Krakoa." Clockwork said. "They were brought to be hunted on live television worldwide."
"Who is behind this?" Danny asked.
"The man is called Mojo Adams." Clockwork answered. "He is a wealthy man from Genosha has hired a team called the Reavers to attack the mansion while the X-Men were away."
"Do they have powers?" Danny asked.
"No, they are cyborgs." Clockwork stated.
"I hope they are fun to break." Danny said.
his eyes started glowing as he imagined the punishment, he was going to put on those cyborgs for messing with what was his.
"You cannot go as phantom." Clockwork said. "The presence of you or your teammates on the island will cause issues down the line. It will be better for you if you go in disguise."
"Alright give me some time to prepare." Danny said as he started walking to his basement. "What will I need?"
"I have the outfits you and your duplicates will need. Get your tools and I will open the portal for you once we are inside the ghost zone." Clockwork stated. 'With Daniel out of the way and unable to help Peter Parker was going to have a harder time dealing with Otto Octavius but he would make it out alright. I shall have S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Ultimates contacted when he entered the underwater base. This may add to his overall trauma, but it was all part of his own path.'

Danny and his duplicate stepped out of the portal and onto the beach surrounding the island.
He had split himself into duplicates so that Mojo and the people he is working with thought that a group had invaded. Each duplicate would only use power to help sell the deception. They would then split up to search for Xavier's students.
"You know the plan. Be careful this place could have traps waiting from one edge of the island to the other." Danny said.
He flew over the ground to avoid as many possible traps as he could.
If the person behind this had turned an island into a private resort to hunt mutants, then they might have also filled this place up the wazoo with booby traps.
He saw Kitty running through the trees running from something.
"Shadowcat." Danny said as he flew through the trees towards her.
"Who are you?" Kitty asked.
It was no surprise that she did not recognize him. He is wearing a blue body suit with yellow gloves and boots that went up to his knees.
"It's me." Danny said lower the holographic projection on his helmet. "Don't say my name."
Kitty moved to grab him in a hug.
"Are you okay? Where are the others?" Danny asked as he pulled back and looked her over.
She was wearing grey shorts and long pajama bottoms. Her feet were covered by fluffy slippers. Not the most useful things to have in a situation like this.
"We like all got split up. I am totally freaking out." Kitty said.
It was understandable her parents had let her join the Xavier school on the condition that they not let her practice in the danger room. She had not been trained to deal with situations like this.
"I will help you." Kitty said determined. "I am not going to run and hide while my friends are being chased and hunted for their lives."
"Alright then." Danny said as he grabbed her hand and looked at her in her eyes as determined as he could. "I will make sure that we all get off of this island."
"You should not make promises that you cannot keep." a cyborg said appearing before them.
"Don't interrupt me when I am talking to my friend." Danny said as he used telekinesis to halt the cyborg as it aimed at him with what was obviously wrist rockets.
He waved his arm and sent him flying off. He was not too concerned if the cyborg landed painfully or broke something.
"Let's go." Danny said grabbing Kitty's hand and flying into the sky to find a safe location where they could use as a rendezvous point for the others.

'I have found Kitty and a rendezvous point.' The original thought to him.
"Did you hear that?" Danny asked turning to Rogue. "It sounded like something powering up.'
"I heard it." Rogue said looking around warily.
Her Weapon X training had helped her hide. He had no idea where she was until she tried to rip his helmet off and drain him.
"Look out lasers." Danny said to Rogue as he projected a barrier around them.
The barrier reflected the laser back at the device turning it into scrap.
Seeing it destruction brought a smile to his face until he saw that others around him were coming online and taking aim at him.
"That is a lot of lasers." Rogue said.
Danny created a huge ecto-shield around him to protect them from the laser fire.
"How long can you hold that?" Rogue asked.
The answer was not long. Each use of power depleted his reserves and unlike the original it would not be restored for him. Every second he held this shield was a second more of power that he lost.
"Don't worry." Danny said not wanting Rogue to know how difficult this actually was. "I can get out of this very easily."
He created an ecto-shield in front of the energy emitter and watched as the lasers reflected back at the machine.
"How did you find us?" Rogue asked as she ran next to him.
"A good friend with very reliable information." Danny said. "He told us where I could find you."
"Did you bring your team with you?" Rogue asked.
"Yes. Push, Jump, Shield, and Freeze." Danny said as he and Rogue started running to the rendezvous point.
"Do you have a way to get us off of this island?" Rogue asked. "Because Ah doubt that you will be able to fly us all hundreds of thousands of miles back to New York while carrying all of us."
"Yes, I do. We just need to find the others." Danny said.
'Status?' The original thought to them.
'I have found Rogue.' Danny replied.

'Now I just need to find somebody.' Danny thought to himself before he heard the sound of something passing quickly through the grass.
It was something big and it was headed towards him. It would not take long for it to arrive, and he doubted that whatever it was might be something that he would like. Danny jumped into the sky to avoid the bright red light that he saw coming at him. He turned to look for the device but saw a body shifting along the ground before it's face rose up glaring at him.
It had the upper body of a man, but everything below was robotic and designed as a snake.
"Glad there are no mirrors here. Your face would break a whole warehouse of them, and I do not need the bad luck." Danny said as the man planted his hands on the ground and started building up to fire another laser.
The laser is being fired from its mouth. That made getting a response from trash talking kind of hard.
"Keep this up and maybe you will be able to singe me in the next decade." Danny said as he raised a wall of ice that endured the lasers fired by the cyborg.
The only clue that he was making him mad is that the laser had been fired in quicker succession than it had been in the beginning.
"You will regret when I catch you!" Snake roared as he took a moment to speak.
"So, you can talk. Now maybe you can tell me what kind of crazy you must be to go and look like that." Danny said as he rolled out of the way and grew ice spikes from the ground.
"Die!" Snake said as shifted back into his human form and started firing lasers from his hands.
"You aren't going to get me that easily." Danny said as he launched arrows of ice sharp enough to stab through the cyborg.
The cyborg sunk to the ground and slithered through the arrow's paths.
"You have failed." The snake cyborg said before he aimed his mouth laser at him.
"I just wanted to see if you would get closer." Danny said with a smile as he moved around the cyborg and placed his hand atop his head freezing him. "Now that is bad case of brain freeze."
"That was mean." A man in red and black said as he appeared from behind the bushes with two swords swinging in his hand. "You are going to regret coming to this island."
"Who are you supposed to be?" Danny asked as he looked at the cyborg dressed in red and black.
"You can call me Deadpool." Deadpool said as he ran at him with two swords. "I don't know how you know these mutants, but you can fall alongside them. I am sure the boss will enjoy having you on his show."
"You clearly did not see anything that just happened." Danny said creating two blades of ice in his hand.
Deadpool ran at him with his swords raised.
'I have taken one cyborg down and I am going to see if I can take down another.' Danny thought to the original as he charged the cyborg,
'I wonder how Peter is doing right now?' Danny thought to himself.
He wondered if he saw the news broadcast about Kraven yet.

"Let's warm ourselves up." Danny said as he put his hand in front of the log in front of him and set it on fire.
"Since when can you do that?" Kitty asked. "I have never seen you use that power on your videos before."
"I am a rather young ghost." "There are a lot of tricks I am still picking up."
An explosion went off in the distance.
"Do you that might have been the others?" Kitty asked.
"Hopefully not." Danny said as he got up and walked to the edge of the cave.
"Has your "team" found any of the others?" Rogue asked. 'Ah hope that the answer is yes. I doubt that they would be able to last on their own in this place.'
"I will check." Danny said as he placed his hand on his helmet. "Evan and the others have been found. They are coming here right now."
"That is good news." Rogue said.
"This is so messed up." Kitty said, "Like if it was not for you then we would like probably have our heads hanging on the walls of some insane television producer."
Danny turned and found her sitting down with her hands on her head.
"I know that you weren't trained for this Shadowcat but do you want to me help me put a stop to all of this?" Danny asked as he walked over to her and held her hands. "That would be pretty good revenge."
"Like I thought heroes were supposed to argue against revenge." Kitty said.
"These people kidnapped you and brought you to this island. I feel that they deserve what is coming to them." Danny said.
"Ah agree with him." Rogue said. "This is wrong, and these guys needed to be punished. Weapon X may have been evil, but they were right that some people needed to be dealt with. Whether it was prison or being placed six feet underground."

"So how is everybody doing?" Danny asked as he looked at the remaining members of the Xavier's students.
Evan, Ray, and Sam had been found together as a group. Ray was draining power from the technology that had been scattered around and using one of Evan's spikes when he was low on power.
"You are kidding right man?" Evan asked as he looked Danny. 'I am glad that someone had found them, but he was taking their situation too lightly. They were kidnapped and being hunted by psychos.'
"Rogue and Kitty are still missing." Sam said.
"Those two have been found already. We were just looking for you." Danny said.
"That is great news." Ray said relieved. 'None of us have died.'
"I will take you to the others and then you can decide whether you want to help me go and get revenge on the people that kidnapped you." Danny said.
"I am all for that." Evan said.
He looked at the group and could see that the others were just as motivated.
"We should hurry to the rendezvous point. Your friends will be waiting with food." Danny said.
"Food?" Sam asked.
"Of course, Among the supplies that we brought are food that you can cook in a hurry." Danny said.
No way was he trusting anything on the island given that the owner had brought people here to be hunted. They could be sprayed with something that might have made them sick or hallucinate.
"Let's go." Evan said as he started walking faster.
"So, what plan have you guys come up with?" Ray asked.
"I would rather wait until we are all one group before explaining everything." Danny said.
The Vlad part of him demanded the people involved in this be murdered but it would be better if people were aware of this group kidnapping mutants to hunt. If they cared so much about mutants going on rampages, then they should learn why mutants were so distrustful of baseline humans.

"Everybody ready?" Original Danny asked turning to look at the group of mutants.
They were standing outside the facility where their enemies were. It was hidden inside a cave and painted in dark colors to blend in with the background. His hand lighting up the path ruined the idea though as it revealed the building.
His duplicates were invisible. Hidden around them creating a perimeter and giving him a wider plain of view.
They looked up him determined and nodded.
"We are going." Kitty said holding on to Rogue's hand and walking them through the building wall.
Their goal was to find the control room and shut down power to any defense systems the building had.
Rogue was going to steal the information with her powers and provide protection for Kitty while she did that and help locate the recordings they had taken.
It took about twenty minutes for the lasers stationed around the building to power down. Once that happened Danny blasted the electronic door down and they rushed into the building. In the case the enemy had weapons he was around them to raise up an ecto-shield.
"Phantom a group of guards are headed your way." Kitty said her voice coming through the speaker.
"You heard her." Danny said and Sam used his power to barrel through the guards the moment they appeared.
Ray gave them a shock to knock them out and he turned them intangible and stuck them through the ground. They started blasting their way through anyone that came by them.
"Make a left then two rights and you will find the producer of this place." Kitty said leading them to a giant vault made of steel.
"This is nothing." Sam said as he prepared to knock it down.
"You can relax buddy." Danny said as he pulled Sam back and used telekinesis to pull the vault wall back into the hallway and turned it intangible so that it passed through them.
Looking inside he could see a giant man with bleached blond hair.
That is Mojo Adams.
"Please spare me." Mojo pleaded.
"No way." Danny said with eyes hidden behind his mask glowing, but he had to jump back as a portal opened and out came a woman with four robotic arms alongside her two normal ones.
Standing next to her was the cyborg his duplicate had met earlier with the red and black suit.
"Who are you?" Danny asked the new woman.
"Deadpool destroy these fools." Mojo ordered.
"How are you alright? I am pretty sure that a duplicate of mine broke you?" Danny asked.
"When we were turned into cyborgs, we were implanted with a self-repair function." Deadpool said.
So, no matter how you tore them apart as long as they had the core that activated that function they could come back as good as new.
Danny snapped his fingers and his duplicates teleported themselves from outside the base to in front of them.
"Spiral get me out of here!" Mojo ordered hastily.
"You are going nowhere." Ray said firing a blast of energy that went through one of Spiral's portals.
Danny saw that coming and created an ecto-shield around them.
"Goodbye freaks. Let's not do this again." Mojo taunted before he left.
"He got away." Evan cursed as he stomped the floor in frustration.
"That won't matter to you much when I blow this place up." Deadpool said with a grenade trigger in his hand.
"What are we supposed to do with this guy?" Ray asked pointing at the cyborg that was threatening them.
"We are going to freeze him in ice and bring him back with us." Danny said. "He can tell us more about this whole operation."
"Like I would let you." Deadpool said scoffing.
"You do not have a choice." Danny said as one of his still invisible duplicates moved behind Deadpool and overshadowed him.
"Alright then I guess we are done here." Sam said.
"Now let us go meet up with the girls and hope they had better luck than us." Danny said walking out of the vault.
They walked through the hallways for about twenty minutes before reaching them. He had the cyborg floating behind them frozen and knocked out in an ecto-shield so on the off chance that he blew up he would only be taking himself out.
"We found the tapes." Kitty said as she turned the swivel chair to them with a smile.
"The first guard I tapped had the passwords for the place." Rogue said.
"At least something good has come from this." Danny said.
"So, are we ready to go?" Kitty asked.
"Yeah." Danny said as he watched a ghost portal open in front of them.

"I am going to sleep for a week." Evan said as he walked up the steps of the Xavier mansion.
"I hear you man." Ray said as he walked alongside Sam.
"Well, I will call you guys later..." Danny began to wave and leave but trailed off because Kitty grabbed his hand.
"Can you stay a while please." Kitty asked and he could see that Rogue was nodding behind her.
"Sure, why not." Danny said.
It was not like he had anything else important going on.
"Today was horrible." Kitty said as she walked to them to their room.
As Danny looked around he could see that their were books on programming and coding on Kitty's side of the room. On top of them looked to be a picture of her mom.
"So, what did you want to talk about?" Danny asked Kitty.
"I just wanted to thank you for saving my life." Kitty said as she gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Of course. There is no way that I would let some creeps kidnap my friends." Danny said as he pulled Kitty into a hug.
Kitty was shorter than he was so when they hugged she found herself buried into his chest as he started using his powers to warm up his body and make her more comfortable.
"I do not want you to freak out." Kitty muttered as she pulled back from their hug and looked him in the eye. 'I wanted him to know how much that i liked him. After having such a close encounter with death, I am going to listen Ember's advice to go for what I wanted. I finally understood how dangerous it was to be a mutant. Countless hate groups would be coming after me'
"I would not be against that." Danny said as he brought his hands down to Kitty's chin and kissed her hard as he ran his free hand through her hair. He could hear that she made a sound similar to a purr.
"That is so embarrassing." Kitty said as she pulled back from him and looked away. 'My first kiss and I had to go and ruin it.'
"I don't mind. Just another reason why you are wonderful." Danny said as he pulled her back against him and wrapped his arms around her for a bit.
"I know that you are with Rogue." Kitty said as she looked away.
"I like Rogue for separate reasons that I like you." Danny said as he walked them back so that he could sit on her bed with Kitty sitting on his lap.
"She would go crazy if she saw us like this." Kitty said as she turned her head towards him. 'I do not want to hurt Rogue. I just wished that there was a way that they could all find some way to get along with each other in a way that did not have her having to let go of Danny. Like she found a boy she could touch and would leave Danny alone.'
"She is not here right now. I want this moment to be just about you and me. " Danny said as he kissed her and started unbuttoning her shirt. "Kitty, I want you to be my girl."
"I would love that." Kitty said with a moan as he fondled one of her breasts.
His hands felt like they were going to burn her up.
"Then we can keep this between us for right now." Danny said as he held both breasts in his hand and gave a squeeze that caused Kitty to groan and push her breasts further into his hands while her ass push harder into his lap.

"How is it going?" Rogue asked as she broke off from their kiss.
She felt like she was on fire as she listened to how Danny was seducing Kitty in their room. She and a duplicate were in the Xavier library to give Kitty enough space to go wild. She preferred her current location. Any moment held the risk of one of the others could coming in and seeing them or the X-Men could come back from their tour and find them having fun.
"It seems to be working rather well. Kitty and the original are making out right now." Danny said as he kissed her shoulder.
He had already taken off the shirt the moment he placed her on the desk. He was looking at her yellow bra that were keeping him away from her amazing breasts.
"Ah wish I could see what her face looked like right now." Rogue said as Danny started moving his hand up and down her back.
She felt like she was going to burn from the inside out with how she was feeling.
"She feels so guilty for enjoying it. She wants you to be friends." Danny said as he brought his lips down to her chest and gave her a kiss right where her heart was.
He could feel the rapid pulses that it was going through. If he was not a ghost but a vampire from those books, she like to read he would find himself addicted to the sound.
"That will just make it better." Rogue said.
"Another duplicate just told him that Xavier and the X-Men are getting closer." Danny said.
Soon they would hear the engine of the massive private jet that the school owned so it would probably be best to hurry this up.
"Fine." Rogue said with the same enthusiasm that one would have before taken a math test.
"Don't pout. Call me and I will show up." Danny said as he put his hand on Rogue's chin and brought her up for a quick kiss.
The original was giving Kitty the same option.
"I am going to buy my own phone this week so we can talk more." Rogue said.
She was tired of having to use the mansion's phone. Always had to be careful over who was listening.

"What's up Wasp?" Danny asked Janet floating in the sky as he looked at his I.D./communication card.
He had absorbed his duplicates and was flying back to his house. The falling snow was annoying, so he created an ecto-shield around him to prevent any from falling on him.
"I just wanted to inform you that we saved your spider friend." Janet said.
"What do you mean?" Danny asked.
Fury had promised that he was going to leave Peter alone as long as he did not become a menace. That when he turned eighteen that he would consider letting him join the Ultimates.
"Your friend had been kidnapped earlier today by some mad scientist." Janet said.
"Thank you." Danny said.
He would have to talk to Peter about this later. He still had to talk to Fury about what happened on Krakoa.
"We are going to be sending a S.H.I.E.L.D. appointed therapist to his school to see if he wants to talk about what happened." Janet said.
"I will see him later and ask if he would want to do that, but I doubt it." Danny said.
"In my opinion Spider-Man is too young to be dealing with any of this." Janet said. 'Phantom was too but as long as used the claim that he was dead then Fury would let him be a part of the team.'
"Spider-man is too stubborn to listen." Danny said. "He believes that he can make the world a better place and it would be wrong of me to try and stop him."
In comics superheroes like Peter rarely wanted to talk about their problems. They were the type to suffer in silence.
