Chapter 011: Christmas Adventure Part 1 (Edited)
Danny was sitting in front of his house watching as John put his luggage into the car that had been sent for him. He wanted to take his time while his butler dragged him into the nightmare that was his new family. Each second that he was seeing the endless chaos of traffic and the long path of trees was another second, he was free from Vlad and Penelope.
"So, you are leaving soon?" Mary Jane asked as she walked up the steps and took a seat beside him.
"Yeah, in about an hour. I hope you have a good Christmas." Danny said with a sigh.
"If you get depressed with your family you know that you can call me." Mary Jane said as she grabbed his hands.
Even though they were wearing mittens it was like she was trying to send her emotions through them to keep him warm.
"Thank you, Mary Jane." Danny said as he looked into her eyes.
He was making good progress with her as well.
(Flashback)
"Hello Master Daniel." John said as he took notice of the guests that had come with the master.
"Hello John. These are my friends. Please put their jackets on the coat rack." Danny said taking off his jacket and handing it to the man.
"Why are we taking our jackets off?" Peter asked. That seemed like a terrible idea in this weather.
"We are going underground. No need for them." Danny said.
"How big is your basement?" Gwen asked.
"Very. Come and see for yourselves." Danny said as he opened the door to the basement.
"What in the world?" Liz asked as they stared down the ladder that went far below the other basements in this area.
"This house used to be a major warehouse of alcohol during the prohibition." Danny said while watching the others climb down the ladder.
"Woah." Gwen said as she looked at the huge hall that was underneath his house.
"Where are we going?" Peter asked.
"That second door on the left. Designed as a gun range. I changed it up so that we have plenty of room to smash things without harming the others." Danny said opening the door for the others to go through.
"What are we going to be breaking?" Gwen asked.
"Here they are." Danny said pulling the cloth off of his sculptures.
"Why did you make them like this?" Peter asked him in a hushed whisper.
"They would serve as good pictures if I had to give a report about current events." Danny said with a smile.
That was in case any of the others were listening in on the conversation. Given the way Peter was acting how could they not be?
"Can we pick anyone we want?" Gwen asked.
"Sure, I already took their pictures." Danny said.
He was proud of how they turned out. His first pieces of artwork since he had been given his own life. The statues in front of them were Whirlwind, Magneto, The Lizard, Skulker, Box Ghost, Undergrowth, and that mystery monster that attacked the school.
He had others that were just waiting to be smashed when he was in a terrible mood.
"Can I talk to you?" Mary Jane asked while the others went to and pick out their targets and their weapon of choice.
Each of them had their own stall to make sure they did not hurt the others.
"Sure. Come on." Danny said as he took Mary Jane outside of the room and into another so they could speak without fear of the others (Especially Peter) overhearing them.
It was a room he used to sleep when he spent to look sculpting or working in his lab and did not want to spend the effort needed to go sleep upstairs. It was like a mix of a bedroom and an office. It contained both a desk and a bed.
"Have you found out what is going on with Peter?" Mary Jane asked.
"I have." Danny answered her.
"What is going on with him?" Mary Jane asked. 'Too much had changed in Peter for it to be nothing and the more I think about it the more worried I get.'
"I cannot tell you that." Danny said.
You could not just tell people about other heroe's secret identities. It was a violation of a sacred trust.
"What do you mean?" Mary Jane asked not understanding how he could not let her help her friend. 'I feel like grabbing on to him and shaking him until he spilled whatever secret of Peter's he was keeping.'
"Peter doesn't want to tell you or his Aunt May because he is afraid that you will worry over him." Danny said.
"Should we be worried?" Mary Jane asked. 'This was just beginning to sound even more horrible than she originally imagined. I originally thought that he was being threatened to tutor some dangerous people by gangsters or he was getting involved in underground robot fights, but the way Danny is talking it was way worse than what I had been thinking.'
"I can't say that there is no risk involved in what he is doing but you know how stubborn Peter can be far more than me." Danny said.
"We have to do something." Mary Jane said. 'What was the proper procedure to do an intervention?'
"Peter believes he is helping people and it won't be easy to get him to stop." Danny said.
"We have to try." Mary Jane said not willing to let her friend get hurt because he wanted to be stubborn and reckless.
"This is why Peter does not want you to know." Danny said as he tried to get her to calm down.
"Why did Peter tell you?" Mary Jane asked. 'I had been Peter's friend longer the longest. Danny had just met him a few months ago.'
"I am a resourceful person with many talents." Danny said while purposefully not telling her how he learned the secret.
Learning that he had been tossed from a several story high building would not calm Mary Jane down.
"So, what am I just supposed to stay quiet while hoping Peter does not get himself hurt?" Mary Jane asked.
"No, you can worry but do not let it overwhelm you. That will just make Peter feel like his decision was the right one." Danny said as held Mary Jane's hands which caused her to look away but not remove her hands in the slightest.
"You are going to keep an eye on him?" Mary Jane asked.
"Of course. If it seems like Peter is over his head, I will help him." Danny said with a smile.
"We should rejoin the others." Mary Jane said.
"I think I would rather spend time with you here." Danny said as he brought Mary Jane's eyes to look at him and gave her a kiss.
(Lime Begin)
"What about the others?" Mary Jane asked.
"Unless you scream like your head is being blown off, I doubt they will hear us." Danny said taking Mary Jane by the hand and putting her on the table.
"Someone is cocky." Mary Jane said as she wrapped her legs around him.
"I have been called that from time to time." Danny said as he kissed Mary Jane and started moving his hand up her green shirt.
"Less talking." Mary Jane said as she started grinding on him.
"Very well." Danny said as he lifted her bra and started feeling her tits with one hand and her ass with another. If he was to compare them, he would say that Mary Jane was bigger than Kitty but smaller than Rogue.
They had to stop when his phone started vibrating. He sighed before looking at his phone.

"Where are you?" Peter texted.
"Looks like the others are wondering where we are." Danny said after putting his phone back down.
"We can finish this another time." Mary Jane said as she readjusted her clothes.
(Flashback End)
"Mary Jane!" Danny could hear Mary Jane's father Greg calling out to her from her house, but he had no intention of telling her. When it got close to holiday time her dad started to drink even harder than usual. Claimed that he was just "enjoying the holiday". It was really more like he was enjoying the excuse to drink more.
"I hope that you have a peaceful Christmas." Danny said.
"That is going to be difficult." Mary Jane said as she glanced towards her house.
"How bad?" Danny asked.
"I wished that he could just disappear for a couple of days so we could have a peaceful holiday." Mary Jane said.
"I could pay him some money to see if he would disappear for a bit." Danny offered.
"That would be wonderful, but he would just spend it on booze and return things to normal." Mary Jane said turning down Danny's offer.
"Alright." Danny said but even though she turned down his offer he was going to let this be.
He knew many ghosts that would love to have a human body to play around with for a couple of days. As long as he was returned in one piece, he had no problem lending Greg Watson's body to the right ghost.
"Call me when you arrive. If we have to be miserable at least we can be miserable together." Mary Jane said.
"Mary Jane!" Greg Watson called out to his daughter across the street talking to some boy. 'As if that Parker boy was not bad enough now some new punk was hanging around his daughter.'
"My dad is calling me." Mary Jane said glancing at her house.
"I did not hear anything." Danny said trying to get Mary Jane to stay with him longer.
"I have to go." Mary Jane said as she started to stand up.
Before she left though, she gave him a kiss on the cheek then ran off.
As Greg looked over at him with a scowl Danny rolled his eyes and sat down waiting for John to finish packing.

"Welcome home master Daniel." Michael said as he opened the door to their mansion.
"Good to see you too Michael." Danny said as he walked into the house.
According to his backstory Michael had been the family butler longer than he had been alive.
"Your parents are not yet home but they promise that their business will only take a couple of hours more." Michael said.
"That is alright." Danny said.
He was going to go to what was supposed to be his room and look around. This house was full of stuff his backstory stated he liked, and he wanted to get an actual look at them. He looked around the pictures that hung in the hallways and he found it difficult to imagine him actually smiling in them with who he was surrounded by.
After taking an hour to look around the books and movies in his room he laid on his bed and decided to text Rogue.
"How are you doing?" Danny texted Rogue.
"I want to see your face." Rogue texted back.
"I feel the same. Wish I could spend Christmas with you guys at the Institute." Danny texted.
"You say that because you are not here." Rogue texted.
"What's going on?" Danny texted.
"Henry and Ororo are fighting again." Rogue texted.
"Seriously?" Danny texted.
You would think for a guy that was turned blue and covered in fur he would be happy that he was dating a woman that could look past it.
"It's either them or Scott and Logan fighting." Rogue texted. "Ah thought the fighting would have ended when Jean made it clear that she was with Scott, she had seen him hanging out with Ororo and it looked way past friendly, but it was like Logan could not get over her."
It seemed like Logan was only attracted to people already dating someone else.
"Can you find some way to ignore them?" Danny texted.
"I plan on staying in the movie theater as long as I can." Rogue texted.
There was a knock at the door preventing him from texting Rogue back.
"Master Daniel." Michael said from the other side of the door.
"Come in." Danny said and Michael opened the door and stepped into the room.
"Your parents have arrived and wish to see you." Michael said causing him to sigh.
"Parents are here. Call you later." Danny texted Rogue as he stepped on the ground and started to walk to the main hall.
Danny walked down the hall from his room to the living room where his parents were sitting on a couch waiting for him. He stood in front of the both of them and wished that Clockwork would need something from him freeing him from this mess. "Hello."
He wondered what they were going to start with.
"What were you thinking?" Vlad asked him as he threw a newspaper down with a picture of him and the other members of the Ultimates. 'We sent our son to New York so that he could get the space that he wanted. Not so that he could go and attract attention while working for the government.'
"That question is rather vague." Danny asked with a smile on his face. "Could you be a bit more specific?"
That just made Vlad even madder if he was honest.
"Who told you that it would be acceptable to go and join S.H.I.E.L.D.?" Vlad asked. 'Did his son not understand the risks he was putting himself under? Not to mention the family?'
"Not like I really had a choice." Danny said wanting to shrug but the memories he had of this universe said that they did not like it when he shrugged.
"What do you mean?" Spectra asked him. 'Danny seemed to be enjoying needling his father and unless she joined in, she doubted they would get any clear answers.'
"I mean the ghost of time Clockwork came and told me that I needed to join S.H.I.E.L.D., or countless people would die." Danny said.
"Ghost of time?" Vlad asked.
"Yes, he is a ghost that can manipulate time. He sees the past, the future, and everything in-between that can and could happen." Danny said.
"Really?" Vlad asked imagining the possibilities of such a being. 'With such a being as an ally he could do so much.'
'Just great. he has his scheming face on.' Danny thought to himself.
Probably planning on how he could take advantage of such knowledge.
"That can be brought back up later. Does S.H.I.E.L.D. know how you got your powers?" Spectra asked. 'Did they need to worry about being under surveillance?'
"As far as most of them are concerned I got my powers because I am a full ghost." Danny said.
'At least it seems that he had not lost all his sense.' Vlad thought to himself.
"You said most of them. Are there people that know what you really are?" Spectra asked.
"Nick Fury knows." Danny said not mentioning the others that knew.
That would just send them into ranting at him. He did not want to deal with that on top of everything else.
"What?" Vlad asked as he felt a chill go down his spine. 'Nick Fury was the last person he wanted to know. He had no doubt that Fury had people studying his background. Their family, their business partners, even their elementary school teachers if he felt like it. He had probably already sent some of his agents to infiltrate his business. It was trouble that he did not need right now.'
"He had an agent watching me and eventually saw when I transformed back to this." Danny said.
"What should we do?" Spectra asked as she turned to look at Vlad.
"Is there anything that we can do?" Danny asked the two of them.
"Do you trust such a man?" Vlad asked.
"Not a chance. I have no doubt that he has secret plans to try and take down the Ultimates if the need ever arose." Danny said.
Nick Fury reminded him too much of Cecil from Invincible for him to trust.
"Keep that in mind." Vlad said. 'As long as the boy was not foolish Fury would not make a move.'
"I will." Danny said.
"Have you made any new friends in New York?" Spectra asked wanting to change the subject.
"Some." Danny said as he walked to the couch and showed them the group picture that he took with his friends.
"They seem like nice people." Spectra said.
"They are alright." Danny said intending for them to never meet.
Spectra would break down whatever self-esteem they had and the group he was friends with did not have much of it already.
"Now how is school going?" Vlad asked dreading the answer. 'I had no idea why Danny wanted to go to public school.'
"Going pretty good. Getting good grades." Danny said.

Danny gave a sigh as he sat on his bed.
"Long chat?" Clockwork asked.
"You decide now was the time to contact me not when I was talking to Vlad and Spectra?" Danny asked.
"You have been avoiding them and their calls. This was the only way to get you to talk to them." Clockwork said.
"If there is a ghost version of Santa you deserve to be on his naughty list." Danny said as he prepared himself to hear whatever new mission that Clockwork wanted him to go on.
"I need you to go into space." Clockwork said.
"What?" Danny asked unsure if he was hearing right.
"I need you to go to Attilan." Clockwork said.
"What is Attilan?" Danny asked.
"It is home planet of the Inhumans. The King of Attilan Black Bolt and his family have been overthrown by his brother Maximus the Mad." Clockwork said.
"That sounds bad but why is it my problem?" Danny asked.
"The people of Attilan are going to be used as soldiers to attack the Earth and weaken it for our enemy to take it over." Clockwork said.
"I can see now why it would be my problem." Danny said. "Am I going to get some help in this mess?"
If he was going to fight a kingdom to save it then he was going to need help. Who knew what type of technology this group had available to them?
"I have gathered some ghosts that would be helpful to you on this mission." Clockwork said.
"Is it anybody that I know?" Danny asked.
"Yes." Clockwork said.
"Are these people I know people that I like?" Danny asked.
Just because he knew the ghosts did not mean that their personalities would be able to get along. Most ghosts did not like him due to him being a halfa.
"You will have to form your opinion yourself." Clockwork said.
"You see the future so you should know how I feel about them or am going to feel about them already." Danny said.
"I would hate to ruin the surprise." Clockwork said as he opened a ghost portal in front of him.
"This is not funny." Danny said but unable to fight the ghost portal that was pulling him in.
Danny landed on his feet and took a few minutes to gather himself before opening his eyes. He found himself on top of a mountain made out of a black steel-like substance. "This is so cool." He said taking a look at the city before him that was protected by a barrier.
He watched as other green portals were opened before him.
'Just great. Clockwork had to bring these people for his team.' Danny thought.
"You must be the halfa that needs our help." Skulker said.
"You look smaller than I thought." Technus said.
"Yeah whatever. Let's just head to somewhere safe and plan our next move." Danny said.
"From the information Clockwork has given me I have a location we can hide in and plan our next steps." Skulker said as he started flying down the mountain.
"Make sure not to fall behind." Technus said as he took off after Skulker.
'You owe me Clockwork.' Danny thought as he followed after the two of them.
It took about ten minutes for Skulker to lead them to the entrance of a cave. The cave led to tunnels that ran for miles probably. This was an alien planet. They could stretch from one corner to another for all he knew.
"What information have you been given?" Danny asked the two ghosts.
"We are near the city of Chokma. The royal family lives in the city of Attilan." Skulker said reading information on his arm.
"I thought that Attilan was the name of the planet?" Danny asked.
"It is both." Skulker said.
"So, what type of people will we be dealing with above?" Danny asked.
"The people of Attilan are Inhuman. Their ancestors were humans from Earth before they were abducted and experimented on by the Kree. This has gifted them with abilities. Not as many as ghosts but enough to be troublesome." Technus said.
"Do you know how far we will have to travel or how many enemies we may have to fight?" Danny asked.
"Maximus has had the royal guard overshadowed to make sure that the Royal family cannot be freed. They are being held in cells in the royal castle with inhibitor collars to prevent them the use of their abilities." Skulker said.
"Do you know what type of powers they have?" Danny asked.
"Yes." Skulker said creating a holographic projection from his armor.
"Let's go over the plan." Danny said.

(Attilan, Attilan)
"Are you in position?" Danny asked Skulker through the communicator.
According to Clockwork's information the barrier would not stop anyone from entering or leaving but it would alert security the moment anything without authorized permission tried to cross it. City security would then respond and flood the city and try to find whoever crossed the barrier. It was set up so that the royal family could be aware if someone was trying to break in to attack one of their cities. Maximus on the other hand was using it to be aware if anyone was trying to escape from his rule.
"Yes. How is it on your end?" Skulker replied.
"I have reached the city barrier and am just waiting for you to cause a distraction and for Technus to use his powers on the security systems." Danny said looking down at the city.
"Wait for a minute." Skulker said. His task was to set off remote controlled robots through each of the city's barriers so that they could not tell where anyone was entering and make them think it was just some type of technical error.
"I wish I was given a better team." Danny said to himself as he floated above the barrier.
"What was that?" Technus asked as his face appeared on his communicator bracelet that Skulker had given them.
"You heard me." Danny said and watched as the barrier flashed from green to red then to green again.
That was the signal. "I am going in."
"Make sure that you are not caught." Technus said 'I wish that they had a full ghost that be here instead. He did not know what such a powerful ghost such as Clockwork saw in this kid.'
"How dumb do you think I am?" Danny asked.
He fell through the barrier and landed on top of a tall black steel building. He wondered what type of metal the city was built out of? He was going to have to find some way to learn what type of technology these people had available to them while he was here.
It would be useful when he was running Vlad's business one day.
"You do not want an honest answer." Slkuker said.
"This coming from the ghost zone's greatest failure?" Danny asked as he walked through a house invisible and intangible looking for a cloak to cover his features.
It would be best to stay hidden. Even if Technus would prevent security from noticing him people would be looking around. They would notice a new face and that was not attention he needed right now.
"Be careful with your words boy or you will find your pelt on my wall." Skulker said.
"I can only imagine the horror... of having to see your face every day." Danny said with a laugh as he started walking down the street.
"When I am done with this city, we are going to be having some words whelp." Skulker said.
"It's Christmas time no fighting among ghosts." Danny said.
"That agreement does not matter until the actual Christmas day." Skulker said.
"Then I can enjoy kicking your mechanical ass before I go back home." Danny said.
"Shut it the both of you and focus on the mission." Technus said wondering why this was his afterlife.
"I am heading to the royal castle now." Danny said but had to pause as his ghost sense went off.
Looking up he saw two Inhumans walking towards him. One was a man wearing a heavy dark cloak and one wearing an outfit of all white that covered her entire body.
"Who are you?" They should not have been able to find him this fast.
"We are here to stop you from interfering half-breed." The man in the cloak said as his eyes glowed dark while the woman's eyes began to glow white.
"There is no need to be rude." Danny said as he looked for a way around them.
"You cannot escape us freak." The woman said. "It is impossible to miss the scent of human radiating off of you."
"It was what drew our attention the moment you crossed our path." the man said.
"Then can we save me some time knocking you both out and you just move out of my way?" Danny asked but had to duck when the female threw a dagger at him.
He had a bad feeling about it and so he jumped out of the way and watched as the dagger stabbed through the metal and into the house behind him.
"You can throw very sharp weapons." Danny said before firing a ghost ray at the woman.
She rolled out of the way before she started running towards him with glowing daggers in both hands. She tried to slash his throat, but he grabbed her hand with his left and elbowed her in the face with his right.
"You are going to pay for that halfa." The woman growled at him.
"I am sorry, but I am all out of change." Danny said with a smile as he started running down a different street.
"You will not escape here." The man in a cloak said before disappearing.
"That is what they all say." Danny said before he ducked and grabbed the fist that had been aimed at him.
He fired a ghost ray straight into the man with the cloak and watched as he fell to the ground. So, the woman threw sharp daggers, and the man could teleport.
"I have no idea who the two of you are overshadowing but have some consideration, so they do not have to be hurt." Danny said.
"Foolish sentiment." The woman in white said before firing a white ghost ray at him.
Danny created a shield to protect him, but the force of the blast still pushed him back.
"It is called kindness. Do you remember that from when you were alive?" Danny asked.
"All that matters in the end is power." The man in the cloak said as he got back on his feet and in the battle.
"You old school ghosts are all the same." Danny said as he raised his hands to each of them and used his ghost ray to cause a bring light that blinded the both of them and anyone watching through the windows.
It was temporary but it would serve his purpose.
"You cannot escape!" The woman yelled.
"Find me if you can!" Four duplicates yelled as they ran off into different directions around the city.
While they were escaping, they were to find and learn about as much technology as they could.
"You go that way, and I will go that way." The woman said before they went flying in different directions.
It did not matter which way they went as the original was still in the same position when he blinded them just invisible.
'That should buy me enough time.' Danny thought as he flew to the royal castle.
He turned visible and looked at the ivory tower that was his target.
"That was a close one." Technus said.
"You're telling me. My duplicates will run through the city and wake everybody up. That should keep their attention off of me." Danny said.
"The dungeon holding the royal family is several feet below where you are currently standing." Technus said.
"Have you turned off the defenses yet?" Danny asked.
"I am dealing with the last twenty percent." Technus answered.
"Hurry then. I want this finished as soon as possible." Danny said.
"Don't blow your top. That is just your human half worried about time. We have forever to do this." Technus said.
The next thing that happened was that lights along the castle activated and started searching the grounds.
"You were saying something?" Danny asked looking down at Technus.
"You distracted me." Technus said.
"I can blame you later." Danny said. "Right now, I want you to mess with the security so that the soldiers in the castle are attacked."
