Chapter 14: Shocking News (Edited)

(Kitty's dream)

Danny found himself in Rogue & Kitty's room.

He looked around the room and smiled at the images. Digital posters of the Ultimates with Danny's picture that had been copied, cut out, with his face had been surrounded by hearts.

He phased through the door and started walking towards the lounge. That is where he would find her.

He found another version of him running his hand through Kitty's hair as they watched an episode of this new reality show Kitty was obsessed with.

Just like before he took over the body of the dream version of himself.

"Who do you want to win?" Danny asked.

There were twenty-two contestants competing on an island in Canada for one-hundred thousand dollars.

"I don't have a favorite, but I don't want Heather to win." Kitty said.

"What do you have against her?" Danny asked.

If anything, he would have thought she would have been against Gwen for being a goth.

"Last episode she read Gwen's diary on international television. That was way over the line." Kitty said.

"That sounds horrible." Danny said as he watched the cast walk through the forest for their challenge.

"Would you ever spend a night in an empty forest?" Kitty asked.

"I have done harder things so it would probably be no big deal." Danny said.

"I would like totally freak." Kitty said.

Danny shifted the dream so that they were standing in the forest that they had just been watching.

"What?" Kitty asked as she looked down and realized that she was wearing the same top as Katie and Sadie and the same shorts and shoes that heather wore. "Really?"

"I thought that it would be fun to roleplay. We have the setting, the characters, the clothing, and the time. Now let's play." Danny said as he pushed Kitty up against the tree and started moving his hands down her shoulders.

"What do you want?" Kitty asked playing confused.

"I think you need to be punished for what you did." Danny said.

"I did nothing wrong." Kitty said as she tried to back away.

"You read Gwen's diary revealing her thoughts to the entire world and so you need to be punished for that." Danny said as he brought her in front of him.

"What are you going to do?" Kitty asked with her eyes wide and her heart beating fast as she stared at his face.

"I am going to spank you." Danny said as he took a seat on a log and pulled Kitty down over his knee.

Her shorts fell soon after leaving her in her top and tight panties.

"You can't do this." Kitty said putting little effort in escaping.

"You say that, but I can feel how wet you are." Danny said as he brought his hand down onto her ass.

Kitty's ass was not as thick as Rogue so it did not move as much as when he hit hers but as he watched her bite her lower lip, he knew that he could find enjoyment in this situation.

"We are going to twenty and after each hit you will say the number and apologize." Danny said before bringing his hand down on her ass.

"One. I'm sorry, Danny." Kitty said.

"Good start." Danny said before giving her another.

"Two. I'm sorry, Danny." Kitty said.

It went on for a while but once he reached twenty, he pulled her up to look at him so he could see the smile on her face.

"How do you feel?" Danny asked.

"Horrible. I am so sorry for what I have done to Gwen." Kitty lied.

"It seems that you haven't learnt your lesson. I am going to have to move to phase two." Danny said as he pulled her to stand on her feet.

"What are we doing next?" Kitty asked.

"I am going to fuck you so hard that you won't be able to walk back to camp and finish the challenge." Danny said keeping up with the game.

He pulled her so that she was sitting in his lap.

"We can't. There are cameras all over the place." Kitty said.

"You say that, but your hips are saying something else." Danny said as he caused his clothes to vanish, and he spread her legs.

"You are so mean." Kitty said.

"If people around the world see this, it is just the result of your actions." Dannys said as he thrusted inside her ass.

"That feels wonderful." Kitty moaned as she felt him grab her arms and pull them back.

"Now you are being honest." Danny said.

"You really know how to ruin a breakfast." Danny said as he stared at the glowing green portal in his living room.

He had planned to have a simple bagel and relax a bit before he went to meet Mary Jane at the mall. Instead, the moment he sat down to turn the television on he found a ghost portal opening up in front of him.

Seconds passed and still no sign of Clockwork.

'Does he want me to go and visit him?' Danny thought as he stood up and walked closer. 'He better have a good reason for this.'

He stepped through and found himself not in the ghost zone but on what seemed to be a cafeteria of some sort.

"Over here." A masked man said cheerfully waving.

'That is not Clockwork.' Danny thought as he walked over to the masked man sitting at the table. "Who are you?"

"You may call me the Foreign One." The Foreign One said.

"Cool name but why did you open a portal in my house?" Danny asked as he tried to figure out what he wanted.

"I wanted to have a conversation with you. Without you having to worry about those spies watching your house listening in." The Foreign One said gesturing to the table. "Take a seat".

"I had plans to deal with that." Danny said while he remained standing. "How did you learn about them?"

Fury had not been pleased to learn that Magneto is alive and wanted more information about how he had received that knowledge. So, like the spy he is he had agents plant surveillance devices while he was on patrol. He was planning on having John disable them after he finished his breakfast.

"So stubborn." The Foreign One said as he shook his head. "In my line of work, it is important to know who you are dealing with."

"What is your work?" Danny asked.

Neither the original nor Vlad had ever seen a ghost with a day job.

"My business is making deals with interested parties. Afterwards I perform a variety of services depending on the request. I made a deal with Clockwork, and I figured that while I was here, I could have a conversation with you." The Foreign One said.

"What sort of conversation?" Danny asked.

"I wanted to know how you are doing here." The Foreign One said.

"Why do you care?" Danny asked.

"Considering that you started our journey I wanted to see how you are doing." The Foreign One said as he lowered his hood and removed his mask.

He stared at an older version of his face.

"How?" Danny asked.

"Time twists and it turns. Sometimes it loops back to before it even began." The Foreign One said. "Just because you started your journey before us does not mean you are the oldest version of us."

"I feel like slapping you until you start talking sense." Danny said while thinking on his name. "So, you can travel through universes?"

"It is rather fun. All new places to explore and adventures to have." The Foreign One said.

"Why didn't Clockwork tell me you had arrived in this universe?" Danny asked as he moved to take a seat.

He had been meaning to ask the ghost of time a couple of questions. Like why he did not tell him that Peter was going to be kidnapped and held in a mad scientist's secret base under the east river? Why had he not warned him about the rampage of Charles Xavier's kid that had gone on a rampage jumping from body to body?

"Clockwork is rather busy at the moment so he wanted me to pass a message to you." The Foreign One said. "You need to start working on Mary Jane. He knows you are reluctant to get her involved in your adventures because she lacks the power to handle such dangers, but you have to get past that."

"He gives criticisms but no advice on where to start." Danny said.

"That is also a part of why I am here." The Foreign One said as he moved the object laying on the table next to his tray of fries. "Look."

He tapped the device and two holographic screens popped up in front of him.

"Those are the two overshadowed Inhumans I met in Attilan." Danny said.

The one that could teleport and the other with glowing blades.

"They are not Inhumans. They are mutates like your friend Peter and those villains you have been fighting recently." The Foreign One said. "They were attending Forrest Hills Highschool when they were kidnapped. Tandy was student council president and Tyrone was on the debate team."

"How did they get to Attilan?" Danny asked.

"That is what Clockwork wants you to find out." The Foreign One said.

"He is the ghost of time should he not already know?" Danny asked.

"Clockwork can see much but it seems that your enemy can cloud the portions of his visions that concern him. It is why he wishes to work with you. You can reach where he is blocked from seeing." The Foreign One said.

"Has he brought them back from Attilan?" Danny asked as he clenched his fist at the idea that he had left two kidnapped teens on an alien planet.

"Clockwork has returned them home." The Foreign One said.

"He has some plan for them as well?" Danny asked.

"He has not told me anything about it, but I would assume so." The Foreign One said.

"Clockwork can be such a pain." Danny said.

"He told me to tell you that you should also question Electro." The Foreign One said.

"Electro?" Danny asked. "What does he have to do with anything?"

"Clockwork has seen hints of it across his screen. The humans are being altered to serve as weapons. Soldiers that can be overshadowed and controlled to cause horrifying damage to this world." The Foreign One said.

"Thanks for the lead." Danny said as he stood up and opened a portal.

"Before you leave would you mind answering my question?" The Foreign One asked.

"I have got some complaints but overall, I am happy." Danny said.

"I am glad." The Foreign One said.

"What do you want to do first?" Danny asked Mary Jane as he turned away from the window and to her.

"I want to play air hockey." Mary Jane said.

"Really?" Danny asked with a laugh. "I had thought we were going to the mall so that we could get away from the cold and snow."

"Don't worry. I plan to beta you at as many games as possible. I just want to start here." Mary Jane said. "I rarely got to play because of her friends. Liz rarely played seriously, Peter had terrible hand eye coordination, and Harry let me win."

"Someone's cocky." Danny said with a smile.

"It is called confidence." Mary Jane said. "What do you plan on doing while we are there?"

"I have been thinking about buying a few new movies." Danny said. "Do you have any ideas?"

"Action and comedies are my favorite." Mary Jane said.

"What about sad movies?" Danny asked.

"No, I watch these movies to escape my family not see similar stories play out." Mary Jane said.

"Whenever you are having issues at home you know that you can come over to my place. We can watch as many movies as you want." Danny said.

"Thank you." Mary Jane said as she touched his hand.

"This has been so much fun." Mary Jane said as they walked through the food court.

"I found it fun too." Danny said glancing down at his bag.

He had not lied to his older counterpart. It is moments like this made him glad that he ended up in this universe. After the air hockey at the arcade, they had gone to buy some dvds and then he had bought a few comics while Mary Jane was enjoying the massage chairs.

"What should we do next?" Mary Jane said as she looked around.

"Before that I want to tell you something." Danny said as he looked around.

"What?" Mary Jane asked.

"You should sit down first." Danny said leading her to a table free of any other people. "It will surprise you."

"What is the matter?" Mary Jane asked concerned.

"I feel like I can trust you." Danny said as he held her hands and looked into her eyes. "That is why I want to tell you."

"Tell me what?" Mary Jane asked.

"That I am a member of the Ultimates. That I am the Phantom." Danny said.

"What?" Mary Jane shrieked in surprise.

"Shh." Danny said in a whisper as he held his finger to his lips.

"How can you be the Phantom?" Mary Jane asked.

Danny caused his eyes to shift to glowing green and his hand to start glowing before it died down.

"You are The Phantom." Mary Jane whispered in an amazed tone of voice as she sat across from him. "You saved the country from the Hulk. You saved the world from those asteroids."

'Looks like word spread fast. You have to hand it to Betty. She does her job well.' Danny thought to himself. "Yes, I did."

"How is that possible? I remember you with the rest of us watching the Ultimates as they saved people from that burning building in the Bronx a few weeks back?" Mary Jane asked.

"That is due to a special power of mine." Danny said. "It allows me to be at two places at the same time."

"This is so cool." Mary Jane said as she looked at him.

"I think so as well." Danny said with a smile.

"How did you get your powers?" Mary Jane asked.

"That is a rather long and complicated story. If I am going to talk about it, we should get some food." Danny said as he looked to the stands.

"Alright. Do you want to go first?" Mary Jane asked.

"You can go. I'll watch your bag." Danny said.

"I have an ulitmate acting as a bodyguard." Mary Jane whispered.

Danny just smiled and shook his head as she left. He had not wanted to tell her but with the warnings given by his counterpart he realized that he would have to move forward and hope that this all turns out well.

He could use the time to think about what to say next.

"You realize you were just in space?" Mary Jane asked when she returned still stunned at the revelation.

"Yeah. If I hadn't gone the east coast would be underwater." Danny said as he stood up.

"Weren't you scared?" Mary Jane asked.

"Not really. I was more focused on how beautiful all of it was." Danny said.

Focusing back on its beauty helped when he thought about the mess that he had to look forward to.

"I wish I could see it." Mary Jane said.

"I can see if Iron Man will let me take friends up there." Danny said.

"You really think that he would let us do that?" Mary Jane asked.

"You have read articles about Iron Man right. He would probably have no issue with me taking a girlfriend to space." Danny said.

He would probably have to deal with annoying jokes and innuendos from the others when they heard of it, so it was best to prepare himself for them ahead of time.

"That sounds like it would be an amazing date. I have always wanted to travel. I just had no idea that space was an option." Mary Jane said.

"Where else did you want to go?" Danny asked.

"I have always wanted to see the world. Sometimes I felt like the city limits are the bars of a cage. I had the freedom to move through it but could go no further." Mary Jane said with a sigh and stabbed into her fries. "I planned on doing it during the summer before I went off to college."

"Sounds fun. We can go together. We can see every corner." Danny said.

"Really?" Mary Jane asked.

"Sure." Danny said as he went to get his food.

"Alright." Mary Jane said.

"Any other questions?" Danny asked when he returned to the table.

"Did you like comics before you got your powers?" Mary Jane asked.

"What do you mean?" Danny asked.

"I mean did you like superheroes before you became one or did you start liking the stories after you got your powers?" Mary Jane asked.

"I started reading them when I moved to the city, but I have always been rather fond of the idea of superheroes." Danny said.

"Really?" Mary Jane asked surprised.

"My father was rather controlling when I was younger. Rarely let me out of his sight." Danny said.

"That sounds different from the father who let his child move to New York on his own." Mary Jane said.

"Well, it's not like I am unable to protect myself." Danny said.

"Did you cheat during our game of air hockey?" Mary Jane asked.

"I want to see how good you can be without your powers helping you,"

"You would think that I would cheat at such a simple game?" Danny asked hurt and betrayed.

"I have known you for months so believe me when I say that I have no doubt you would do such a thing." Mary Jane said.

"Good lady you have insulted my honor." Danny said in a dramatic voice. "I give you my word that I played the game at the same level as a normal human."

"Well, I demand a rematch." Mary jane said.

"You're on." Danny said as he unwrapped his b.l.t. "As soon as I finish this sandwich."
