"I see, so by using that you can summon more than one time right?" Sophie inquired curiously. "That sounds like it could be really helpful."

Sophie however was confused over him setting a trap that he can't use this turn.
"Wait, you can't play a trap the turn you play it right?" she asked.
"Normally you can't. However my skill allows me to use it the turn I set it." Alexander answered.

"As there are 2 or more cards in the same column, I can summon Green Horizon on my field."
"So that's why you summoned the Token to my side." Playmaker checks over his field where Green Horizon, and Lancelot's set card was in the same column as Playmaker's only monster; the World Legacy Token.
"I knew that token was bad news." Ai frowned.
"Actually, you said it was nice of him." Axis reminded him.
Ai gave an annoyed stare over to her while Lancelot stared over. "Now your end is here Playmaker. But let's not be hastey. I end my turn."

"Then it's my turn, I draw!" Already having a strategy in mind Playmaker drew looking over his hand.
Lancelot however has an extra move before Playmaker can even start. "And while you do that, I activate another effect!"
"What now?" Ai questioned.
"By paying 1000 Life Points," (Lancelot: 3000/Hand: 0) "I can take the World Shield that Girsu's effect sent to the graveyard, and revive it! Rise up, World Legacy - "World Shield"!"

"When I use this effect your permitted to summon a monster from your hand or graveyard." Playmaker narrowed his eyes from this drawback which gives Playmaker an advantage if he uses the right monster.
"It's like he's playing our moves for us!" Ai complained over Lancelot freely giving them monsters to use without costs.
"It makes sense, as what we seen on Green Horizon it requires not just his columns to summon his Mekk-Knights, it's so he can have opportunities to summon them." Playmaker pointed out to Ai as he turned to his hand.

Meanwhile in Link VRAINS...
(Cue Theme: Life Will Change-Instrumental)
Speaking of the Palace the Phantom Thieves lead by Joker, and Crow had just arrived at the Palace ready for there own end to find, and steal the Treasure.
Blue Angel frowned. "This won't be easy will it?"
"No it won't. Let's hurry to the safe room, and charge in. Don't let your guard down!" Mona said over as they ran around dodging obstacles, and Shadows while making there way, and if they get encountered by enemies they deal with them quickly. Eventually they arrived at the transporter guarded by 3 high elite Androids.
"Halt!" one of the androids called.
"Let's deal with them quickly!" Joker called jumping on the android. "Show me your true form!" Ripping the mask off he jumped off as the androids transformed into Intruder, Hound, and Angel all ready to fight.
"Hereward!" Crow called. "Debilitate!"
Hereward lowered there powers which they all charged in with Hound attacking with his claws that they dodge while Skull, and Fox together attacked with there melee weaponry before Queen punched, and kicked several times using strong martial arts but Angel called a darkness attack over that they avoided as Blue Angel struck several times with her hip before summoning Lycoris who used Kouga against the Shadows but Intruder used an ice attack over before moving to strike with it's hip which Panther avoided the attack before striking with her whip aided by Noir who uses her shotgun to attack the shadows.
Hearing a whistle blow Joker grinned over. "Shall we finish this Violet?"
"Certainly." she smiled as they suddenly appeared with Violet running up a staircase only to notice a grappling hook as she jumped up while Joker flew past catching her.
Joker with his grappling hook shot up, and aimed with his pistol at the shadows in the center of a church firing multiple shots at them before flipping Violet down who wield her rapier before appearing with her real world self in a sequence where they both move together in graceful movements before slashing around before she, and Joker landed in a pose together with the destroyed shadows behind them.
"Whoa, you can get into the Platinum League for that!" Blue Angel said in awe from there attack. "Me, and Mona done something like that?"
"Yeah, you did." Fox nodded.
"That was my line." Oracle said weakly looking down that Blue Angel said that line she said before.
"Great minds think alike." Skull grinned. "Come on, we need to get the treasure."
They all nodded walking over entering the teleporter room as Blue Angel looks a bit nervous. Seeing that Joker took her hand gently. "It'll be ok."
Blue Angel turned to him before she softly smiled. "Sorry, I just..."
"Don't worry, we understand." Noir smiled gently. "We're right here with you."
Blue Angel smiled over at all of the thieves before nodding taking a breath. "Alright... I'm ready."
"Then let's go." Joker told her calmly.
With that they entered the teleporter as it powered up transporting them. Arriving in the room they see in place of the orb was a rotating glowing blue cube below under the glass floor.
"Is that the treasure?" Blue Angel asked seeing it.
"Yes taken the form of a Matrix Cube." Crow said crouching down for a closer look before standing up looking around. "There should be a button here to get it out from below."
"Let's look for it then." Queen suggested. "Though be careful."
They looked around checking all nooks, and crannies for a button. Soon when Skull walked to check something he placed his hand on the wall which pressed something from his palm which he checks over before the glass floor opened as a platform raised up the cube.
"Sweet." he grinned.
"So do we... just take it?" Blue Angel asked getting a bad feeling if they take it.
"Well yeah, but if this is like any of the others your brother's Shadow is nearby." Joker mentioned.
They nodded as Blue Angel takes the cube holding it as it floats rotating in her hand. With the cube's removal suddenly red lights flared, and an alarm started to ring.
"A trap?" Noir questioned.
"Oracle, what's going on?" Queen asked her quickly.
"Just an alarm that activates when it's taken. Time for our escape." Oracle stated over it's only an intruder alarm now there chance to escape.
"Hold on, shouldn't his Shadow have shown up or is this another ambush like in your sister's palace Queen?" Fox inquired.
"Only one way to find out. Besides we don't have time to ask questions, the longer we stay here the longer they'll find us." Crow pointed out.
"Right, let's go." Joker nodded as they ran from the room.

They all expect running out just in time for a flame wall to stop them in there tracks.
"A firewall?" Queen questioned seeing it.
"Oracle!" Mona cried turning around anxiously.
"I'm working on it, but it'll take time." she responded.

"He isn't here, and we'll be taking your treasure." Skull told him.
Shadow Zaizen glared over. "Fine by me, if he comes in from the Data Banks I will be waiting. In the meantime, I shall deal with all of you myself."
"We know all about how far you been doing. Can't you see your hurting your sister's growth?" Panther asked him.
"How I raise her is none of your concern. After Terrance left us his house, and everything that happened, I pledged to keep her safe from harm no matter the cost!" Shadow Zaizen snapped over. "You all placed too much thoughts in her head when she's ready to head off on her own!"
"She's an angel, but you're keeping her from spreading her wings and flying." Mona told him.
"Brother... I'm not defenseless, I can take care of myself." Blue Angel told him softly. "Please, trust me."
"Skye, I mean it, you are not ready. There is still so much you need to know, and be aware of. SOLs have already taken in interest in the Ignis, and will eliminate all who are involved with it." Shadow Zaizen stated over. "They were also the ones who eliminated the criminal underworld that Terrance was a part of so there high in power in both legal, and illegal categories!"

At that Shadow Zaizen grunted as flames enveloped him where he starts to change forms while a large gate rose from behind him.
"What's happening to him!?" Blue Angel cried seeing that.
The gate opened as the now sentient flame Shadow Zaizen flew into it as the gate closed. After a few seconds the gate opened shooting a large flame landing on the field before what emerged was a three headed larger version of hound the same monsters as the rest of the Tindangles roaring loud. "Skye! I am your guarddog! Let me protect you for your life!"
She flinched at that. "Acute Cerberus."
"This your brother's best monster?"
"His only Link monster." Blue Angel answered Noir's question. "Be careful it's very dangerous."
"We've been through worse." Panther mentioned calmly.
They all ready themselves.
Meanwhile in SOL Technologies...
"Sir." Emperor while talking Risa about plans turned over to the shell-shocked employee that was managing the Knight Brothers' involvement in Link VRAINS. "The Knight Brothers they... they..."
"They what?" Emperor asked want to know what happened.
"They've been defeated." the employee whispered nervously.
Emperor stared before turning, and punched Zaizen's Desk. "Damn it! I told Zaizen, I would help him against the Thieves!"
"Sir?" Risa asked nervously.
Emperor grunted before turning over to the employee. "Set a camera to the Data Banks let's see what's going on!"
"Right away sir!" the employee nodded as they saw Akira standing in front of the data bank waiting before Playmaker and Sophie arrived.
"What?" Emperor seeing how few of the Thieves there are looks confused. "Where are the rest of them?" Shaking his head he turned to Risa. "Nevermind, Risa your in charge, I'm heading in to help Zaizen!" He turned to walk out.
"Huh, wait but Emperor sir!" Risa cried in shock watching him leave before she looked at the screen nervously.
Meanwhile in the Data Banks...
Playmaker, and Sophie together exit the portal jumping on, and landed on the ground raising up seeing Zaizen behind the banks glaring over at the Thieves.
"Zaizen." Playmaker said in greeting as he stared at him.
"Playmaker... or, would you prefer I use your other name?" Zaizen asked frowning slightly.
Playmaker narrowed his eyes. "So you know?"
"I do, which is why I have to ask... give the Ignis to me, I'll protect you just like I've protected Skye. You don't have to fight any longer, I'll handle the rest." Zaizen told him. 'For you and Sota.'
"Your holding her back which is why she reached us for help. This is connected far more then you know, besides I'm not in this for revenge anymore." Playmaker stated over towards him.
That seemed to catch Zaizen off guard. "What?"
"The Thieves had also helped me before. I was obsessed to make the Knights of Hanoi pay for bringing me through the Lost Incident or as it's really called the Hanoi Project, but then the Thieves came up, and rescued me from myself." Playmaker turned to Sophie at that who smiled before Playmaker turned back. "But I'm still gonna fight the Hanoi cause they have someone hostage that I want to save, and stop them from whatever there planning to do."
"If that's true then trust me, I'll help this person and stop the Knights of Hanoi... you don't have to fight anymore Playmaker." Zaizen told him simply.
"If you want to stop me there is only one way." Playmaker said raising his arm with his Duel Disk.
Zaizen closed his eyes but nodded. "Alright, I accept…"
"Zaizen!"
Overhearing that they looked seeing someone dropping in landing on the ground. Raising up it was Emperor in his usual appearance.
"Emperor, sir what are you doing here?" Zaizen asked in shock.
"Lancelot, and Alexander were compromised." Emperor answered walking over beside him. "Even though you said before that they can't be stopped, I will do what I can to help you old friend. No matter what I will protect you from the Phantom Thieves!"
This does surprise Playmaker, and Sophie who never seen this guy in the Palace, and he holds Zaizen in high regard so this must be someone very important to Zaizen. And 'Emperor'? Sounds like a bigger deal then they think.
"Sir I..." Zaizen whispered before smiling. "Very well, then this will be a tag-duel."
Emperor nodded with a grin before he turned to the Thieves. "I don't know where your other comrades are but you guys aren't gonna get to Zaizen without getting passed me. I'm Emperor son of CEO King, and Queen, and the Dueling Overseer of SOL Technologies. And right now, I'm gonna make sure you guys don't do whatever it is you are gonna do!"
"The dueling overseer, that means you're really good at dueling right?" Sophie asked curiously.
"It should. Emperor, I know him, he is my creator's son, and also one of the children of the Hanoi Project." Axis brought up from Sophie's Duel Disk.
Hearing that Emperor blinked. "A-X-I-S? Is that you?"
"It is indeed, Sota, it's been a while since we last spoke." Axis greeted over with a smile.
Emperor stared over stunned before smiling. "Well it's good to see you again A-X-I-S."
"You were one of the taken?" Playmaker questioned seeing Emperor only to frown. "Then you're the third... but how did you get through it? Did you hear that same voice?"
"Same voice what do you mean?" Emperor asked confused. "My memories of it were... erased rather."
Playmaker's eyes widened hearing that before he frowned. "I'll tell you during our match."
"Alright, as for the rules we each have our own hand and field but we can use our partner's cards. We also each have our own 4000 life points but if any one of us loses then our teammate loses too, is that fair to you two?" Zaizen asked Playmaker and Sophie.
They both nodded as Ai looked over at the two. "Alright you two be careful."
"Indeed. These two are some of the best duelists within SOL Technologies." Axis agreed over to them. "They will not hold back."
"Whatever's in front of it we gotta go in." Playmaker said over to the two AI, and turned to Sophie. "Are you ready for this Sophie?"
"I am, I'll do whatever I can to help you Playmaker." Sophie replied as the four of them got ready.
"DUEL!" They called together.
bopdog111: Well we got a change from the anime here.
Ulrich362: True, though I think the Phantom Thieves being around might have been a clue things would play out differently.
bopdog111: Sota doesn't use his World Legacies yet so don't expect him to use them now, he will use his Simorghs.
Ulrich362: Fair enough, it'll definitely be interesting. See you in the next chapter.
