I don't own Twilight or any of it's characters. The only characters I own are the ones I create.

Alice was sitting in the living room as Edward and Jasper played chess. It was a new thing they'd done since moving to Seattle and away from the heartbreak of Forks. When Bella had chosen Jacob and broken Edwards' heart, they'd almost lost him forever. Edward had talked of going to the Volturi to get himself killed because he had no life without the girl he'd thought was his true love.

It was after this that the Cullen family sat down and had a long discussion with the heartbroken boy. They'd told him that just because Bella had been his 'singer', it didn't mean that she was his soul mate. They told him the truth; that if she had in fact been his soul mate, he wouldn't have been so against her being a vampire. A vampires soul mate, was a person they couldn't image an eternity without. They turned this person so they could be with them forever. The fact that Edward had never wanted Bella to turn, showed the others the truth.

It took Edward several years before he began to believe it. They'd left Forks in 2006 after Bella left Edward and spent some time traveling. It had been 17 years and they were ready to settle again, so, to make their lives easier, they moved to Seattle, where Carlisle was one of the top doctors at Swedish First Hill Campus. The kids themselves were thinking of going to class at the UW.

Suddenly, Alice gasped as her vision was filled with the vision of Carlisle and a young girl. Jasper was at her side in a moment, worry on his face as he watched his mates far off gaze.

"What is it, Alice?" The pixie blinked, turning her eyes to Jasper. "It was Carlisle, at the hospital. He was with a sick girl, checking her vitals. Her parents just died and she's moving to New York with her grandparents. She has Leukemia."

Alice watched as Japsers' brow furrowed and he turned his confused gaze to Edward, standing just behind him, who shrugged. "Why would you have a vision of that, Alice? Is this girl in our future? Will she be important to us?"

Alice smiled softly and leaned against the couch. "She must be, for me to see her. Although, I saw nothing but the first meeting. She seemed rather taken with Carlisle." Jasper and Edward smiled knowingly and moved back to their game. "Let me guess, the eyes?" Edwards question drew a nod from his sister, before she was joined by Esme, Emmett and Rosalie.

"It will be interesting to see what part she will play in our lives." Esme always had a positive outlook on everything. She was just grateful to have her family together. Carlisle came through the door and Alice asked many questions. Carlisle answered them politely but kept repeating that he barely knew the girl, he was just doing his job as he did with the other humans.

"It does break my heart a little, I must admit. To be as young as she and to have such a diagnosis and then lose her parents so close to her birthday. Not to mention having to move an entire country away on top of all that. The poor girl. She must feel so alone right now. What is her name?" Esme turned her eyes to her husband as she asked the question.

Carlisle smiled softly and grabbed her hand. "Her name is Britannica Marie Williams." Rosalie's eyes widened in disgust and shook her head. "BRITANNICA? Oh, she must have resented her parents so MUCH for that name!" Emmett chuckled and shook his head.

Carlisle chuckled as well and looked at his blonde daughter. "She prefers to be called Bri. I found that out the hard way, to be honest."

Not too long after, the family went on their weekly hunting trip to the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. They were lucky to have one so close to home. Though it was an hour drive by car, it was still the most convenient option and it boasted beautiful scenery as well. When they finished and made their way home, Alice couldn't stop picturing the girl and the effect she might have on their lives in the future.
