Chapter 9

Timmy's wings fluttered as he floated into the air annoyed. It had been a full 48 hours stuck in the cave. Danny and the Old Man seemed to always find something to do which left Timmy impatient. They took their time going over detailed plans which had made him bored out of his mind. Jorgen wasn't much fun either as the older fairy just seemed to be a silent and lonely man. One thing was for certain this world was bleak and whatever was happening with this terrible war. So he spent most of his time trying to find something to do, but his patience was at its end. No one seemed to respond to him so out of pure boredom Timmy took his rattle and poofed up a video game console to play on. He didn't even think about it just played the game to distract himself unaware that everyone in the room was staring at him. "Alright!" Timmy said, fluttering into the air and turning around with excitement. He had scored a massive victory and if Poof was near him he'd show his brother. "What?" Timmy asked when he looked up to see that everyone was looking at him.

"Where did you get that?" Valerie asked. "The video game console sweet child."

"I just used my rattle," Timmy said. "Simply waved it and poof it appeared a moment later. Not to be confused with my brother."

"You have access to magic?" Jorgen asked after a few hours of silence in the corner of the room.

"So he's the visage," the Old Man said trailing off for a second. "That makes sense. And if she's looking for the other half-"

"She's looking for Timmy," Danny said. "Meaning she invaded to collect Timmy who has the visage within him. That's what turned him into a fairy. And now we know what she's looking for, so we have to find the rest of it."

"And that can only be done by finding Blonda," Jorgen said. Finishing the conversation, "Which until you guys showed up I wouldn't have had a way to get towards her. The visage is located within the Ghost Zone Blonda has built her fortress there it is protected by an army unlike any other."

"I'm confused," Timmy said.

"Turner! Magic in this world has been stiffened off to such a point only Blonda and Melody have the ability to channel it. And any magic that may occur is siffed off by Blonda's angel army. Any ounce of magic that appears is stiffened to feed her eternal hunger. On top of that Blonda has turned the giant wand into a magic suppressing device allowing her angels to roam without any threat to them. And even the ghost stood no chance against her. The wand and remnants of Fairy World is protected by an army of even more dangerous creatures."

"Oh," Timmy said.

"That means Turner your the thing Blonda wants. How haven't you been detected yet?" Jorgen asked.

"I don't know," Timmy said. "All I know is that I got dragged here by Melody and I'm bored of waiting around. And my magic does weird things sometimes I can't really explain it."

"Hasn't Wanda and Cosmo explained this to you? Or has Spellementary school not covered this?" Jorgen asked. Timmy looked at Jorgen uncomfortably, "You're not in Spellementary school are you?"

"No," Timmy asked. "I'm not in Spellementary school. I'm still going to Dimmesdale Elementary."

Danny and Valerie looked at one another, but the Old Man was calm. Stone faced as he usually was. "That explains enough," the Old Man said. "Well that makes things easier. I have a dangerous gamble, but a gamble nonetheless. I intend to invade Blonda's castle and reclaim the other half of the visage. She'll be defended, but if Melody has weaved this tune that we now play. Then we must accept its fate and do our bidding. For the songs she weaves is our destiny. If we must recover the other half then we will go and find it. Where would Blonda's castle be located?" Jorgen looked down at the ground before finally asking.

"Within the dead zone of the Ghost Zone," Jorgen said. "A place that no one has ever been. And the only person who did is long since gone. And there is no way into the Ghost Zone anymore as Blonda sealed it off. Only she and a select few can invade it anymore."

"Well that's not a problem," Danny said.

"So we're finally going to do something?" Timmy asked.

"Not today of course," the Old Man said. "Daniel and I still have some more scheming to do, but I assure you I know how to get into the Ghost Zone undetected. And if Timothy's magic has gone undetected even by Jorgen. Then I presume that as long as he remains in his human form. A trip into the Ghost Zone will be fraught with danger and violence, but I assure you we can get in and out. Blonda's ability to foresee the future is likely stunted. Again side effects of the eco."

"Eco?" Timmy asked.

"Another time," the Old Man said. "For now we must plan and rest. For Tomorrow I intend to invade and weather your friend Jorgen wishes to join us or not will be his decision."

It was another night of impatient waiting before they had finally gathered. Jorgen had agreed to go along with them. And so with that Timmy watched as a white ring surrounded Danny's body and he held out his hand in the 'X' formation. A black aura seemed to fill and he slashed the air forming the letter X. Which Danny then grabbed and pulled open shivering went through Timmy's spine. His wings tweaked themselves, warning him about the imminent danger of a huge amount of ectoplasma. Some kind of green substance that reacts violently with magic. Timmy hadn't been in his human form in a while and it took him a moment to get used to not having his wings. Though he could always feel his wings even in his transformation, a strange thing that Timmy still wasn't used to. With that the old Man pulled out a small device about the size of a tac and threw it. A moment later a giant vehicle which could fit several adults appeared. Jorgen looked at Timmy with the same look of confusion.

"Alright, the portals open, we need to hurry," Danny said. "I can't keep it open for long and there's a high chance we'll be detected if it remains open." Timmy nodded his head and moved onto the giant machine. It was a massive inside bigger than it looked. Filled to the brim with comfortable seats and a bunch of buttons. With that the device which Timmy would learn about 'Specter Speeder' as it moved into the Ghost Zone and Danny followed them in his ghost form. Timmy's back was tingly as they left the cave into a world of pure ecto green. It was Timmy's first and probably last time he would ever see this place again. Wanda wouldn't let this happen again.
