Chapter 11
It was just quiet as the five of them made their way slowly throughout Blonda's fortress. The massive castle was filled with winged angels. Various magical things that eluded Danny as he had no experience in such things and by his cousin's age neither did he. They explored the massive mansion carefully trying to avoid being detected by Blonda's winged angels. A lot of the mansion was inaccessible to them as they lacked any form of reliable magic on their side. As various doors were inaccessible without having some form of magic. And even Jorgen seemed hesitant to use any of his cousin's magic for reasons Danny wasn't too sure about. So they had to explore room by room going carefully across the castle. Jorgen was getting frustrated at Turner as the four of them took a careful survey of the area. This place had a vibe that paled in comparison to the brutal warfare that had scarred the future. With beautiful paintings, really valuable artifacts and various other things. A lot of them were pictures of Blonda. The woman had a very self-centered side to her. Timmy's winged fluttered shut as he moved to hide and Danny grabbed Valerie's hand and turned the two of them and the Old Man invisible. Jorgen just transformed into an artifact that blended into the background as out of nowhere Blonda appeared.
Next to her were two of her winged angels and Timmy seemed to freeze up as he flew into the air. "I don't care what you have to do, I want them found! Timmothy is the only thing that stands between me and victory. The end of this endless war is on the horizon." Danny stood utterly still as he had spent years in the dead zone, but the others were terrified. Blonda moved past them with only a slight glance in their direction before disappearing. Timmy flew down and landed on the ground with everyone looking at him as he had transformed back into his fairy form. Probably without even realizing it. Which had happened several times by now. They gathered into the hallway with that Danny moved into the wall to slip into another room.
"Well at least we know we're in the right place," Valerie said. "So what exactly does the visage look like?"
"It's not an object its magic," Jorgen said. "You can't hold it, but you can get enough of it contained into a physical object. It should trigger your uhmm ghost senses? Us fairies will have a tingling that would give it away for us. Though it's gone dull over the centuries. And Turner why didn't you just poof us out of their?" Timmy looked at the ground for a moment.
"We need fairy magic for that and Wanda, Cosmo and Poof are nowhere to be found," Timmy said.
"You're a fairy," Jorgen said, reminding him.
"Oh yeah," Timmy said. "I forget that a lot." Danny raised an eyebrow at this, but looked around the room. It didn't take long for them to realize the four of them weren't the only ones in the guys.
"Timothy? Impossible," Timmy turned his attention as all around they were in a room that appeared to be a prison. With a bunch of wand-wavers most of them had red eyes, blue skin. Danny's ghost senses triggered, but it was different from before. It wasn't like the time he was around his cousin or when dealing with ghosts. "So that's the purpose of the Visage? Blimey I say nay!"
"Anti-Cosmo?" Timmy asked, "What happened to you?"
Anti-Cosmo was a male that looked like Timmy's dad, but with blue skin and green eyes. With a monocle on his left eye, but scars were visible with a strange metal collar around his neck. "Yes dear boy alas it is I. Anti-Cosmo leader of the anti-fairies! Endures to mere servitude of the vile witch Blonda. Curses I say curses. And I say you brough Ghost Boy with yea? Hello Daniel."
"Uhhh..Timmy want to fill us in?" Danny asked, "Is he your-"
"No he's my uncle," Timmy said. "You see every fairy has an evil opposite counterpart known as an Anti-Fairy. While fairies spread goddesses, happiness and luck. Anti-Fairies spread misery, evil and bad luck. Since Cosmo is a complete idiot Anti Cosmo is an evil genius."
"So you wand-wavers have evil counterparts?" Valerie asked, "I am getting that correctly."
"Precisely my dear, but alas we Anti Fairies aren't the only ones," Danny followed Anti Cosmo eyes to see where he was pointed too. On the other end of the room was someone Timmy seemed more than seriously unlikely to see. On the otherside was a different group of fairies? Anti Fairies? Danny wasn't sure, but they were different. First fairies, Anti-Fairies and this third group all were at the same height as adults around the size of your average size. This 3rd group of magical creatures had square wings, black hair, sunglasses and wore a 3 piece gray suit with black ties. Above their heads was a gray hat except for one. All of this species looked identical to one another except for the tallest of the batch. An elderly looking creature with round glasses.
"H.P? Sanderson?" Timmy asked.
"Hello Turner it has been what now Sanderson? A billion years since I last saw you. Though I mustn't be surprised after all I truly knew that Melody could never leave you alone. And now I know why." H.P. "And how lovely of you to bring Ghost Boy with you the youngest and one of the few hafla's in the world. A nice surprise that you've managed to retain your sanity after so long."
"Yes Turner it is me," Sanderson said or the one who Danny presumed to be Sanderson.
"Oh right," Timmy looked at Danny, Valerie and even the Old Man seemed a bit perplexed at the situation. "Guys these are the Pixies. There another magical race that are as powerful as us fairies and our Anti Fairy counterpart. Their boring businessman that treat Magic like a business."
"How many more fairy-like races are there?" The Old Man asked. "I knew of the Anti Fairies, but Pixies?"
"Hundreds," Jorgen said. "Nature spirits, Genesis and more."
"Lovely," Danny said.
"How come-" before the Old Man could finish Jorgen cut him off.
"We had rules for thousands of years to make sure that you pesky humans never discovered our existence. With you being an expectation as the hafla boy. Blonda changed all of that."
"Why don't you tell us exactly what we are facing?" The Old Man asked. "And where Daniels Ghost half is located. On top of that I've noticed you didn't seem that phased that Timothy here is alive."
"Well…" Anti Cosmo began…
X-x
Anti Cosmo's tale was whimsical and clearly missed a lot of details, but condensing a billion years of history would do that. And since Danny, Valerie had no true compression of immortality like fairies. It was a hard tale that sounded whimsical to the ear. Timmy seemed to understand it the most. A lot of magical based things, something about Da Rulez. Whatever Da Rulez was and Genies? Danny looked at Valerie who gave him the same look of utter lost as Anti Cosmo weaved his tale. Timmy seemed to understand it the most, but then again he was a fairy. "Well now what do we do? We can't keep you guys in there and Blonda's evil angel army will likely follow us not too far away."
"Give me your rattle," Jorgen snapped at Timmy. Who looked at ex enforcer confused.
"Hey-" Timmy said, but Jorgen just ignored the toddlers and took the rattle and shook it. With that they all of them slipped away in a giant poof away from Blonda's castle.
