After neutralizing Atomic Skull, the two heroes got him out of the water just as police cars and a police van came in. Immediately, they get out of their vehicles and aim their guns at Diamondhead and Hardware, while holding the unconscious Atomic Skull, who was powered down.

"Woah, amigos!" Hardware said as he used his free hand to hold them up. "We stopped this guy."

"Yeah, we're heroes." Diamondhead continued.

"How do we know your lying?" One of them asks.

"Well if you let us explains." Diamondhead tried to say as he moves a little forward. But this set one of them off as she immediately cock her gun, especially at Diamondhead.

"Don't move freak!" She yells at the Petrosapien.

"Hey, hey. Were cool, just standing here then." Hardware said as they step back a little.

Before they can do anything else, a familiar voice calls out to everyone. "Stand down, Captain." The voice says as everyone turns to see none other than the Man of Steel himself.

"Superman…" The captain whispered in surprise.

"It's ok ma'am." Superman told her as he points towards his friends. "They're with me."

"How do you know this isn't some kind of trick and they could be working with Atomic Skull?" The captain questions.

Superman sighs as this has been happening for quite a while, with the captain going a bit overboard on criminals. She doesn't seem to bother asking questions and more blaming it on anyone, almost becoming a bit racist, to say the least. He then look at her in the eyes as he spoke. "Because they are the ones that help the League stop the invasion."

The captain didn't know what to say about this new information. "Oh…"

Superman had enough as he turn to the officers behind her. "Get Atomic Skull back to Strikers Island."

"Yes, Superman." The two officers say at the same time. They then ran over to the duo heroes as one of them put meta-human cuffs on him. Which is able to stop his powers and from escaping. They then put him in the police van and closed the door. Once that was done, the van drove off for Atomic Skull to be sent off to prison again.

Superman looks at Diamondhead and Hardware. "You two did good work." He praises.

"Thanks." Hardware said.

"It was no problem." Diamondhead told him.

"I think you might have beaten my record on defeating him." Superman joke with a smile.

"Oh, I didn't know we were being timed." Diamondhead said playing along as he turned to his friend. "Did you know we were being timed?'

"No I did not amigo." Hardware said with a smirk, even though no one can see it through his bandanna.

That's when the duo sees a bunch of reporters coming toward them.

"Superman, we might wanna get out of here." Diamondhead said he pointed toward the reporters.

"Yeah, not exactly up to meeting for an interview." Hardware said as SUperman looks behind him to see the crowd coming towards them.

"I understand." Superman said as he starts to float in the air. "Come one, we're done here anyways."

Nodding his head, Diamondhead touch the dial on his chest as it let out a flash of green light. Now in his place was red, humanoid manta ray-like alien with green eyes, black outlines on his face, yellow horns extending from his nose, gills underneath his arms, yellow patagia, and two black lightning bolt-like stripes coming down from his shoulders to the Ultimatrix symbol on his chest. "JETRAY!" Jetray calls out as he bends his knees before taking off in flight.

Hardware did the same as he forms his boogie pack and took off in the air just as the reporters came towards them to ask a bunch of ridiculous questions, including the famous Lois Lane.

"You know," Jetray said as the three were gliding over the cityscape of Metropolis, "this place is pretty neat to look at when the views are not blocked by invading alien birdmen."

"I'm actually impressed that almost everything in this city is cleaned up." Hardware said as most of the buildings and streets are cleaned up from the invasion.

"Yeah, they usually work fast." Superman said to them.

Superman then guided Hardware and Jetray to his apartment, where Clark quickly changed into his civilian attire. All Rex had to do was detransform his boogie pack as well as take off the bandana and goggles. While Jetray had to do was slap the Ultimatrix symbol to get back to normal.

Ben took a look at Clark's home. "Nice place." He commented.

"Thanks." Clark replied, "It's not bad for a reporter's home."

"Considering that I was still living at my parents' house until a few days ago, this is one heck of a first apartment." Ben said

"Well, mines was at the Providence defects' base of operations. We got kicked out of our old one thanks to Black Knight." Rex said with annoyance towards her.

"Well if we ever have a way to travel between worlds, I'll be sure to help take her down." Clark said as Rex told him and the league about Black Knight and what she has been doing to EVOs and taking control of the government agencies. Needless to say, he and the League were not too pleased to hear about it.

"So if you guys want, it be better if you guys go look for Alpha at night. Fewer people for you guys to be spotted." Clark said.

"We can do that." Rex said in agreement.

"What should we do now then?" Ben asks.

"How about you guys see where I work." Clark suggested.

"Sounds fun." Ben said.

Clark went to grab his briefcase, then the trio headed towards the door. As they were about to leave the apartment, Clark stopped.

"Uh…. you might want to take the jacket off." Clark said to Rex.

"What for?" Rex asks in confusion

"We just went out as heroes and your jacket was on display." Explained Clark. "If you go out, you might get exposed. I don't have any jackets that fit you, and since we didn't go shopping yet, it's best if you don't wear that for now."

Rex gave a wry smile. He should have known that his famous jacket would draw attention; it certainly was going to attack attention as he was on camera. He then takes the jacket off, leaving him in his blue and white t-shirt.

When they left the apartment, Clark hailed a taxi, and the two headed to Clark's office. As they got out of the cab, Ben and Rex's jaw dropped. They'd seen this building before!

"You work here?" asked Ben as he gestured to the golden planetoid that topped the Daily Planet.

Clark shrugged. "Yeah. Why, do you know this place?"

Rex lowered his voice, so that no one could overhear. "We 'arrived' not too far from here. That building was the first thing we saw."

Clark grinned. "Well, now you two have a landmark."

Before they could respond, they saw a woman waving at them. Specifically, at Clark. As she walked over to them, Ben and Rex saw Clark's eyes light up. The two heroes could see why. The woman was certainly attractive, with a good figure, long black hair, and a cute face. She wore a purple dress jacket and a short, white skirt.

"Hey, Smallville." the woman greeted. Rex and Ben blink on hearing that.

"Smallville?" Ben asks.

"What kind of nickname is that?" Rex asks Clark.

"It's my hometown." Clark explains to them.

Rex gave the Man of Steel a weird look. "That's a weird nickname, almost sounds like a pet name."

The woman continued. "So, who are your new friends?" She asks as she didn't hear Ben and Rex speak on her nickname towards Clark.

Clark smiled. "Rex Salazar. Ben Tennyson, I'd like you to meet Lois Lane, head reporter for the Daily Planet."

Ben and Rex shook Lois' hand. Both had polite smiles on their faces.

"So, you two," said Lois, "how do you know Smallville here?"

Before they spoke, Clark decided to speak up for them as they haven't come up with a story yet. Which probably should have been a good idea in case something like this happened. "They're friends with Kara." Clark replied.

"Oh, where is she anyways?" Lois asks as she like Kara.

"She went shopping." Rex answered quickly. "We didn't want to go, so Clark offered to show us his job."

"Well, that was nice of you, Smallville," Lois said as she somehow figured it out. "In the meantime, you can grill them if one of them chose to date, Kara." She said with a smirk, which cause the three heroes to look at her in surprise.

"Wait a minute, that's not at all-" Ben tries to explain but whatever he was going to say was cut off by Lois.

"Anyways, I need to head home and finish my story on these new heroes. After the Thanagarian invasion, the world could use some more heroes." She gave Ben and Rex a small smile. "See you around, you two."

"Well she's a handful isn't she?" Rex teases.

"You have no idea." Clark said as he guided Ben and Rex inside the building.

Along the way, Ben had to ask.

"Does she know about, uh…?" Ben quickly placed his fists on his hips, mimicking a pose that he'd seen Superman make in several photos.

Clark shook his head. "No, she doesn't know who I am, and I hope that she never finds out, for her sake; I don't want her placed in any more danger than she already is."

The two thought about this for a moment; it made sense, save for one thing: it seemed that Lois Lane was already in as much danger as possible. From the stories they'd heard from Clark on the taxi ride over here, Lois was always getting kidnapped, falling off of buildings, or getting attacked by supervillains. Knowing who Superman wasn't going to make her life much more dangerous, if at all.

"But… you're in love with her, right?" Rex asks as he can see it too.

Clark's head snapped around so fast that the two could actually hear the tendons crack. "How could you guys tell?"

Rex smirked. "Dude, I could see you giving her goo-goo eyes the second she showed up."

Clark scratched his head. "That obvious, huh?"

"Yeah. So, what's the problem? Why not just ask her out? You don't have to tell her your big secret." Ben reminded him.

Clark looked down at his feet. "She has a thing for Superman."

Ben and Rex stopped walking. They blinked several times. "Okay, let me see if I've got this right: you like her, she likes Superman, you are Superman, and therefore Superman must like her too." Ben said if he is getting this right

Not completely sure where Ben was going with this, Clark only nodded. Rex took a deep breath and decided to get it over with.

"So why don't you make this easy and just freaking tell her who you are!" Rex yells out, luckily the people around them didn't seem to mind or care what the trio talk about as luckily they stopped by a corner away from everyone.

Clark opened his mouth to respond, but no words came out; he had nothing to counter Rex's suggestion. Ben pinched the bridge of his nose, his brow furrowed in exasperation, while Rex just rolled his eyes to the side.

"Geez, I knew you were invulnerable; I didn't know you were dense!" Ben started walking again.

Clark caught up with him after a moment. "Wait, how do you two know about dealing with this sort of thing?"

Ben rolled his eyes. "I told Julie that I was a superhero after our first date. It probably saved me a lot of guilt later on."

"And I didn't really have a secret identity, so it just makes it easy to tell Circe that I like her." Rex explains.

Were all the superheroes in this universe like this, or was it just Superman?

They continued in the elevator they got on in silence, the three of them lost in thought; Ben and Rex who were questioning the intelligence of the people in this universe, and Clark, who had to think on what now seemed like a very obvious hole in his logic.

By the time they arrived on the main floor of the Dailey Planet, Ben and Rex had finished fuming while Clark had finished kicking himself over being an idiot.

After touring Clark's job for a little bit, the trio went had to go back to Clark's apartment as he remembered a certain someone is coming. He wanted her to meet Rex and Ben as he figured they would get along great.

After opening his door, Clark can see his blond teenage cousin, Kara Kent sitting at his table. But Rex and Ben, however, were very surprised to find someone sitting at Clark's table, sipping a cup of coffee.

"Hey Clark." A very cheerful Kara waved at him.

"Hey Kara." Clark greets back.

Kara look over to the duo as she spoke. "So who are you two?" She asks.

"Ben Tennyson." Ben greets her with a handshake.

And mines is Rex Salazar." Rex greets as well.

"So how do you know these two?" Kara asks.

"Well, these two help the League end the Thanagarion Invasion." Clark explain as he got in the middle of the duo as he puts his hands on their shoulders with a smile.

"Those two?" Kara asks. "No offense cuz, but they don't look that tough." Kara said as she doesn't seem to believe her cousin's words.

"We may not look much, but we pack a bigger punch." Rex grins as he transforms his hands into his Smack hands, which startled the girl of steel.

"Woah!" She said in surprise. "How did you do that?"

"Well six years ago in my universe, our planet was normal, then out of nowhere WHOOSH! There was an accident. No one knows why it happened. All we do know is that it caused these tiny machines called nanites to get into every living thing. Every once in a while, the nanites turn humans or animals into monsters."We call them EVOs." Rex explains his story. "Most EVOs just want to wreck stuff. And that's why we have Providence. I guess you could say that I work for Providence. I'm their secret weapon. So secret that they have to keep me hidden away, well until I revealed myself to the world under different circumstances. When the situation gets really tough, they have to call on me to handle things with the skill and professionalism of highly trained soldiers. Psh, yeah right. Here's the cool part: I'm an EVO too. But for some reason, we're different from all the others. Instead of my nanites turning me into a rampaging monster I control them. Tell them what to do. That means I can do things like THIS!" Rex exclaimed as he forms his Funck Knucks. Luckily Clark's apartment was big enough for Rex to transform into his weapons.

"That is awesome!" Kara exclaimed with a smile. "I don't think I ever see anything like that before!" Hearing this made her think of ehr planet and how advance it was, but nothing as advanced as what Rex is talking about.

"Thanks." Rex said as he transforms his hands back to normal.

"So what about you?" She turn to Ben to ask.

"See this?" he showed her the device on his wrist. "It's called the Ultimatrix, I got this from my universe. It lets me turn into different aliens, with different powers."

"Seriously?" Kara was shocked to hear such a thing. She had never heard of such technology. Even the most advanced scientific achievements on Argos, Krypton's sister planet, had never even come close to something like what Ben was claiming.

Ben pressed a button on the Ultimatrix, causing the dial to pop up. When it did, a small, green hologram of Humongosaur appeared. Then Ben began twisting the dial, seemingly in notches. With each notch, a new hologram would appear.

Kara pointed at one. "What's he do?"

"An alien I have not seen in six years." Ben replies cryptically, as Rex and Kara gave each other a look at what he said.

Ben slammed the Ultimatrix as he was blasted with a green flash of light. In his place was a being whose entire upper-body is covered with green eyes, although he ironically has no eyes on his face, which consists of a mouth and a very large pair of bat-like ears. He has dark yellow skin with lighter yellow skin on his chest. He wore black pants with white bands on them and a white belt. He had light green eyes with dark green pupils, and the Ultramatrix symbol in the center of his chest. His feet were light in color, but in all following designs his feet match the same dark yellow as on his body. This was none other than Eye Guy, an alien that he got when he was dealing with Dr. Animo who was trying to detonate a DNA bomb. "EYE GUY!" He calls out.

"Woah, amigo." Rex said in surprise as he looks at Eye Guy's face.

"So what can this guy do?" Kara asks.

"This guy has 360 visions, so no one can sneak up on me. I can also shoot out energy beams, ice, fire, electricity, and plasma." Eye Guy explain, as he merges three small eyes into one. "Eye manipulation, enhanced reflexes, athleticism, enhanced hearing, and pheromone sensing."

"That's incredible." Clark said in fascination with the alien.

"It is. It's why I said it's been a long time since I've used this guy." Eye Guy told them as he transform back to normal.

"So why are you guys here?" Kara asks as the three turn to her.

After that question, the three of them then explain the situation of how Ben got into Rex's universe by accident. They told her the two of them fought each before stopping to help the innocent. But after Rex's partner got injured, the two decided it would be best to work together and take down Alpha together. Sadly just as Ben was going to get home, the portal malfunctioned and transported Ben, Rex, and Alpha to this universe There they help the Justice League stop the Thanagarian invasion, and here they are now.

They then began to explain their life. Ben explained that his family as his grandmother was an alien from space, and his grandfather was a space cop similar to the Green Lanterns. He also told them about his cousin Gwen, who was like a sister to him, as he explain that she got powers from their grandmother. Ben also told them about his best friend Kevin, he go on and tell them that they used to b enemies as kids. He explains Kevin's powers and how absorbing his watch, causes him to he insane and blamed Ben for years in that. But eventually, they rectify it and became best friends ever since. Then he tells them that Gwen and Kevin are together as the three of them put their past behind them.

Rex began to explain his life and how he always seem to have amnesia as he doesn't remember his parents. He then explains about his partner Six and how he saved him when he was younger. He is the one who trained him and how is always like Batman as he is a good man. He then explains how Six lost his memories as they tried to restore Rex's memories but it went horribly wrong. Rex also explains Providence which is a government agency of the world that help stops EVOs from destroying the early and how he cares them if they can be. Then explain how his brother came back as he time-traveled five years in the future. Since then Caesar told more about his family and how his parents are gone but saved the world as they along with Caesar caused the Nanited Event to keep out of Consortium's hands. Rex then tells them about he tike traveled six months in the future and Providence is now being run by Black Knight, who is causing more trouble. Now White Knight, his old boss, Six, Dr. Holiday, and Bobo, are now on the run and hiding out as they plan to take the government agency back.

"Wow, I don't know what to say." Kara said in shock as Clark understood as well.

He couldn't imagine being in their situation. Especially Rex, who has no memories of his previous life as well as his parents. It made him feel bad as he can remember bits and pieces of his parents, but now has his adopted parents. But he was at least glad that Rex has his new family.

"If you want Rex, we can have J'onn restore you and Six's memories." Clark offered. "That way you would know who you were before you lost it."

Rex smiled at that. "Thanks, Clark. I just might take your offer. But not before Six gets his first." Rex explains as he rather wants Six to get his memories back before his. He waited a long time to know who he was, but he can wait a little longer until he gets back home.

"So what are you doing here?" Ben ask.

"I help out Superman whenever I'm in Metropolis." Kara explained. Then her smile grew impish. "And since you two will be staying i. Metropolis for a while, why don't you guys come with us." Kara offered.

Rex smiles. "Thanks for the offer, but me and Ben need to get go shopping. We've only been wearing these clothes for the past few days." Rex explains to her. "And we rather wear clean clothes." Rex jokes causing Kara to giggle.

"I understand." Kara said as she takes her glasses off. Then super sped out of the room and came back two seconds later wearing different clothes.

She wore a white t-shirt with the "Super-logo" on it, as well as a short, blue skirt, red boots, white gloves and a short red cape that hung from the shoulders of her shirt.

"See you guys later." Clark said as he super speeds out of the room and came back two seconds later in his SUperman uniform.

And with that, the two cousin walk out to the balcony before looking around for the coast to be clear. Making sure that no one was around, they then flew off into the air as they start their patrol.

"I am never going to get used to seeing that." Rex commented as he and Ben watch them leave from the windows.

"Me neither." Ben said as they then proceed to walk out of the apartment and go to the local stores in Metropolis to shop for essentials.

Gotham City (The Batcave)

Batman sat at his computer, lost in thought. He had barely left his chair since Rex and Ben had left for Metropolis. He had even entrusted Batgirl and Robin with more patrol duties to cover for him, much to the surprise of his young partners, who had never thought that Batman of all people would allow them to watch over 'his' city. He stared at the image on his computer. An image of Ben Tennyson and Rex Salazar stared back.

Bruce heard footsteps coming from behind him, but he didn't turn around. Years of training had taught him how to recognize the pattern of an individual's footsteps, and even without training, he had heard those shoes against the floor for so many years that he could have recognized their owner anywhere.

"Hello, Alfred."

"You got me again, sir."

"You tried leading with your left foot again." Batman smirked. "It's been a while since you tried to fool me."

"With all due respect, sir, I was worried that your project concerning young Master Tennyson and Master Salazar had distracted you from all else."

Bruce looked up as his butler placed a tray of food next to him. Then he looked at the time. He did need to eat. Bringing his attention back to the screen, he began typing with one hand, while picking up his food with the other. Alfred waited patiently behind him.

"What is it, Alfred?"

"Sir," Alfred began, a hint of trepidation in his voice, "Rex Salazar is not Bruce Wayne."

Bruce turned around and gave his butler a sharp look. Before Rex and Ben left with Superman for Metropolis, Rex had a talk with him. He wanted to elt the dark knight know about his past, his family, and his mentor Six, and how seeing Batman reminds him so much of his partner, who doesn't know if he will wake up from the coma."Are you so sure, Alfred? He lost his parents, the girl he loved, his partner is in a coma, and he just got his brother back. How is he not like me?"

"Is that why you are helping them?"

Batman gestured to the computer screen. Under Ben and Rex's image was his age, birthday, and every important fact needed in an identity.

"When my parents died, I was left millions of dollars, I was the heir to an incredibly successful company, and I had a home. Ben and Rex are from different universes. They have nothing here. They don't exist in this universe. Not even Ben's hometown exists here. This way, they can at least have an identity. He can have a life here until they can get home."

Batman resumed typing for a moment, then printed out a piece of paper, which he handed to the butler.

"In a few weeks call Superman," he instructed, "tell him to give this to Ben and Rex before he tries to introduce them to anyone."

AAAAAAAANNNNNDDDDDD DONE! Lol, hope you all like this chapter, and I figured the cops would be a bit worried about Ben and Rex as they did have heroes turning out to be criminals, and was misleading. So I hope you all enjoy that interaction, but don't worry the cops are now cool thanks to SUperman explaining the situation. And yes, Rex and Ben will have their own secret identity as I don't want it out in the open. This chapter was going to show how Ben and Rex adjust to this world as they try to look for Alpha, but decide it is best for the next chapter. The next one will hopefully be the last one before the start of the JLU series. Forgot to mention this before but Ben and Barbara will get together. Sadly it's not for a while since Ben is technically still with Julie and needs time before he can be with Barbara. And Rex will still be kara as I do want it to be different than The Incredible McMuffin.
