The Sea Rhinoceros trampled one of the sailors and impaled another one on its horn. As the others took this opportunity to run, the Sea Rhinoceros chased after the rest. Unfortunately, one of the sailors bumped into a twig, and before he could run, the sea rhinoceros grabbed him in its jaws and began shaking him.
After a few seconds of horrific screams, his body went limp. Eventually, the group made it to the bridge, and had no choice but to cross. Squidward gestured to them to come on, and they followed him. The sailor's screaming was even heard by Kong, who put Sandy up onto a tree and ran back. Before long, everyone saw Kong roaring his way out.
Their first instinct was to turn back, but when they did, the Sea Rhinoceros was waiting for them. Krabs was in the back just filming Kong, before Kong lifted up the log, which hit the Sea Rhinoceros in the face and angered it more as it started to shove the other side. Some sailors fell off and died on impact, and others stayed alive due to the muddy bottom.
When the first corpse fell, a giant red spider-like creature crawled off a rock. When the second sailor fell and lived, he attempted to run to what he thought was another rock, but the rock was actually a giant teal fish monster, and another came out of the cave. Back up top, Mr Krabs was desperately capturing all the footage, when the camera slipped from his hands.
"Nooooooo!!!!"
The camera fell into the pit, leaving Mr Krabs looking down like he had just lost a brother, or a wife. The crustacean bemoaned,
"All that incredible footage…gone!"
Just then, one of the cooks fell, and Patrick reached to try to catch him. However, the sea star fell too, with Spongebob barely managing to grab his hand. The sponge struggled, and strenuously told his best friend,
"I….I can't…you're too heavy…"
"Spongebob…I'm scared!"
The log shook again, loosening Spongebob's grip, and Patrick fell.
"SPONGEBOOOOOOOOOBBBB!!!!!!!"
Spongebob watched in horror as his best friend fell to his certain death.
"PATRIIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCKKKKK!!!!!!!"
The young sponge couldn't contain himself and began to cry, snapping Mr Krabs out of his selfish malaise. He took Spongebob and the 2 snuck into a cavern next to a log. They climbed over and ducked. Meanwhile, Squidward on the other side climbed down a vine and hid in another cavern. Up on top, Kong flipped over the log, and the rest of the sailors fell. What ensued next was nothing short of a slaughter.
Patrick was surrounded by tiny spider creatures that ate him alive, leaving only a stump of his arm behind. A purple snake monster tore away at Stephan Hill's midsection, and an unevolved squid disgustingly devoured a fish. Mr Krabs was forced to shield Spongebob's eyes from the carnage. On the top of the crevice, Kong and the Sea Rhinoceros bellowed at each other put never touched, Kong punching a fist onto the ground as a challenge, tempting his enemy to leap further.
Back in the pit, some of the sailors grabbed sticks and other melee weapons such as their knives to defend themselves, but they all fell. One lizard climbed up from the pit and attempted to attack the hiding Squidward, smelling him. Squidward quickly cut the vine it was climbing on with a knife he had brought for the expidition, and it quickly fell back into the horrible warzone/feeding ground that was the pit, which Squidward had no choice to witness from a bird's eye view.
The clattering of the lizard falling sent Kong's focus in Squidward's direction. He looked over but couldn't see in the cavern. He only saw the insects eating in the murky depths, so he reached his hands down to look for something. Squidward fell back, and both the squid and the sea ape's heads began to turn.
Across the ravine, Mr Krabs was frozen in an angry shot, staring down into the pit, knowing that he couldn't get his camera back. He muttered to himself,
"Nothing. Twas all for nothing."
Spongebob was in the corner crying his eyes out, covering his mouth so he wouldn't make a sound. The Sea Rhinoceros looked down, hearing the whimper, but it couldn't reach and see anything. It eventually got bored, scoffing at Kong due to thinking he was dumb for trying to reach for Squidward, and walked off.
Mr Krabs looked up and his facial expression changed. The sea-apes had been considered extinct by archeologists and scientists since before he was born, yet there was one right now, perhaps the last of its kind. He could still get something out of this. As Krabs was thinking this, Squidward unsheathed his knife and lifted it. When Kong's hand came down for him, he stabbed at it a couple of times, his nerves getting to him.
Kong jumped back at this. To him it felt like a bee sting, but he noticed the blood on his hand and pouted a bit. He then tried again, now dead set on getting Squidward. But the octopus stabbed him again, and he pulled out once more, shaking his hand to ease the pain. He then roared in a rage and shook his head while holding onto the edge of the ravine, and shook himself like a wrestler testing the ropes.
Sandy was sitting in the tree Kong had left her in, tapping her foot on the log in impatience. This whole experience had been quite stressful, and she needed a walk. However, as she was about to jump down, she saw a flock of flying snail monsters flying away from something. The curious squirrel asked herself,
"What in tarnation?"
She didn't have to wait long for an answer on what the snail monsters were fleeing from, as in the distance a lumbering creature walked into view. Her eyes went wide as she saw that the creature was turquoise in color, having the body of a tyrannosaurus rex and curiously, the head of Squidward. A Squidasaurus Rex.
The beast was minding its own business, rubbing its head before noticing a weird yellow blur in the tree next to it and turned to look at Sandy. It hopped toward her curiously, and the squirrel knew what was coming next. Although nervous, she stood up and lunged at the beast, grabbing onto its gargantuan maw and attempting to force it down.
The Squidasaurus flailed in an attempt to get her off, thrashing up and down. Sandy's grunts and screams were heard by everyone near the pit, but Kong was the only one able to act on it. He looked back and forth from the ravine to where the scream came from to back to the ravine. He roared at it before running back to Sandy.
As Sandy was finally thrown off the Squidasaurus and landed hard on the ground, Kong came running in a fit of rage. The mighty ape grabbed the Squidasaurus's neck and attempted to strangle it, but after a few seconds it kicked him off. Kong quickly got to his feet and shook his head, calming down somewhat after looking at Sandy, who smiled and told him,
"Ya know, a few minutes ago would've been nice. But thanks anyway."
Kong smiled, grunting before turning his attention back to the Squidasaurus. He ran at the carnivore and tackled it, grabbing one of its forelimbs until it broke before running head on into an ensuing kick. Kong then grabbed the kicking leg and flipped the beast over. The bulky Squidasaurus flailed about in an attempt to regain its footing and pushed Kong away with another kick before he returned and tried to attack its side again.
The Squidsaurus turned around and struck Kong with its tail, but the ape then grabbed the tail and began to pound the Squidasaurus's hips mercilessly, causing one of its legs to give way and break under its weight. As the Squidasaurus attempted to get up, Kong grabbed its skull from behind and beat the "reptile"'s head mercilessly.
The underwater dinosaur attempted to thrash Kong off once again, but the ape clamped his legs onto the Squidasaurus's shoulders, plunging his fist into its mouth and beginning to pry it's mouth open. After many seconds of straining, the Squidasaurus's jaws snapped, blood leaking out of its torn jaw.
Sandy looked at Kong in a horrified and amazed awe, and the ape then kneeled in front of her, smiling, and to Sandy's shock, holding his hand out for her to walk on it. She smiled chucking and saying,
"Well, this is certainly quite a way to research. Alright big guy, lead the way!"
Sandy then ran onto his hand, and the two took of further into the jungle together, with a new understanding for each other growing
Seeing that the coast was clear, Spongebob, Squidward and Mr Krabs crawled out of their caves back to land. Spongebob fell and gripped the grass, glad to feel solid land, then ripped the grass out of the dirt by its roots out of emotion. He muttered,
"Gone…they're all gone…everyone's gone…."
"Who's gone?"
Spongebob's eyes widened upon hearing the familiar voice and turned around to face the familiar sight of Patrick Star, alive and well. Shocked, the young sponge asked his best friend,
"Patrick?! Bu-But how?! I saw you get ripped to pieces!"
"I don't know."
Unbeknownst to both of them, Patrick had regenerated due to the stump of his arm being left intact during the pit massacre. As the two best friends embraced each other, Mr Krabs asked,
"So what are we gonna do?"
Spongebob paused for a bit, but he knew exactly what he was gonna do. He got out of Patrick's embrace and said confidently,
"I'm going after him. And I'm getting Sandy back."
"No."
"What?"
"I'm not letting you go after him after all this. Squidward will do it."
Squidward's eyes widened when he heard this.
"WHAT?! You must be crazy if you think I'm following him!"
"Do it or you're fired."
Squidward grumbled to himself and nodded, Mr Krabs then saying,
"I'll tell Coralhorn to wait until ye return. But I don't know how long he'll allow it. So good luck. And Neptunespeed."
"I'll try. Thanks."
They both began to walk off, but then Krabs turned around and added,
"Hey Mr Squidward."
Squidward stopped and turned around.
"Yeah?"
"When you bring back the lass, bring the ape with ye."
"What?"
"You heard me."
Mr Krabs then walked off with Spongebob and Patrick in front of him. Krabs was confident. When Kong came for them, they would be ready.
