"If there are no more questions, then I declare the Diet will stop here."

With the Chairman announcing the final words, everyone in the Inquiry starts leaving their seats and gets out of the room. Itami's group does the same, though the soldier asks the older brother: "You are coming with us?"

"Maybe later? It seems our country's ambassadors would really want to make sure that we are both safe, so they've sent someone to pick us up mid-Diet."

"Will we meet again?"

"Maybe. I can certainly be, but with my sister…"

"You are afraid that you won't have your fun?" Peace kicks Kuro's leg, causing him to drop his seriousness and jump back in surprise. "Just say a word about it…"

"It's more about if the Ambassadors would let you run around. I'm technically…" He stops there when he notices some gazes towards the group. "The other world's representative."

"Then you can't also walk around very freely." Rory counters his answer to Itami's second question. "And don't try using the…" She stops when he puts a finger on his lips. "…Ah, I see."

During the last parts of the Diet, the other members from both political parties asked questions about how Falmart's culture and life is. Kuro only described vaguely about how more advanced Gamindustri is (he didn't even give out the name) and how the four nations work under the lead of the Goddesses. He did briefly say about the other Earth he encountered, saying it's just this Earth with magic. He has not mentioned the land he's currently leading, and his actual 'job'.

"I think there's no point in hiding that when you smirked during the time they asked our age." Hodor comments, as the group exits the Inquiry.

"Well that's before I revealed myself of who I am." Kuro then sees someone waving their hands at them, and notices their appearance features… "I think this is where we depart. See you all again soon."

With their goodbyes said, the sibling duo heads to the person waving at them. Said person greets them and says in their mother tongue: "I'm here to take you to the airport. The Embassy was able to arrange a seat for miss **** with your father… Though we didn't expect you would be…"

"Don't worry about it." Kuro shakes the person's hand and replies. "My father and my sister's safety is currently top priority. I can handle myself here, and I do need to return back to where I'm living to discuss future matters." He looks around for a second then continues: "We will continue when we are in the car."

"Ah right. My apology." The driver quickly lets the two inside and starts driving away. "Most of us couldn't believe that there would be survivors. The attack was so fierce."

"For a normal human, it's really fierce." The elder brother nods understandably.

"…May I ask what your new job is? You said it a bit vague in the Diet."

"Well, like I said, a full interview would be in place."

Peace then notices how Kuro sits a bit too close to her while having his arm placed around her shoulders. While their relationship isn't bad, there's no way he would sit that close to her, for both sides' comfortableness. "…Is something wrong?"

"…How long would it take to get to the airport?" Instead of directly answering her, he asks the driver.

"Uh… about an hour due to traffic. Do you need something?"

"Check the rear-mirror. Black car, two people only, five o'clock."

That causes the atmosphere inside the car to tense up, as the driver takes a moment to look at the mirror. "…Yes, I see them. You know them?"

"They kept their eyes on us since we left the Inquiry." When Peace plans to turn her head back, Kuro nudges her to stop. "Don't give them ideas that we know they're behind us."

"…Could it be some thugs?"

"No. I suspect they're some agents from other countries. When I said 'kept their eyes on us', I included the group from Falmart as well. I doubt common thugs would dare aiming at a demigod."

"Then, should I cut them off?"

"…No. Let me handle it."

Through the interior mirror, the driver sees the brother's right hand slightly brighten up, and he's tempted to ask what he's planning, but he decides not to say a word and keeps driving. After a few moments, the driver takes a turn, and notices the other car going the other way.

"…That should take care of them for now."

"What did you do?"

"To put it simply: mark a different target for them. Won't harm our new decoy, just enough to get us out of their sights."

"…That's… magic?" The driver asks in astonishment. "Then, the sound back then…"

"That sound is purely technical. What I just did was magic, yes. You keep your eyes on the road, and I will do what's needed to shake them off."

'Some agents have already noticed me.' Kuro thinks as he walks on the road of the Ginza area once again. 'Persistent, are they?'

After saying his goodbye and promise of return to his family and confirming the plane has lifted off, he asked the driver to take him back to an area near Ginza and told him to report to the Embassy that he would take care of everything else from there. During the car trip, he changes his usual lab coat to a black hoodie and an electronic mask which is held on his waist, which slightly surprises the driver. When he exited the car, Kuro said his thanks to the driver and started walking alongside the citizens who did give him funny looks.

Some cops did stop him since he looked a bit too suspicious with the hood on, but released him when they realized his identity.

He's currently making some off-turns on the road to throw the agents off, not letting them know that he's actually NOT planning to stop doing so until they give up. However, a nearby siren catches his attention and he heads there, only to find a poor agent of PSIA lying flat on a stretch as he's being carried into the ambulance. He then sees Itami's group nearby and he goes to greet them: "Hey Itami! What happened to him?"

"His old age is catching up." Hodor says nonchalantly, causing the questioner to raise his eyebrow up in suspicion, and get even more suspicious when the elf chuckles.

"Want to carry this?" Rory then shows Kuro her concealed halberd, which earns her an 'Ah' of understanding from him. "Where is your sister?"

"Back with my father to our hometown. Where are you planning to head to?"

"Akihabara." Itami replies. "Food and stuff, then to the Hotel of Ichigaya."

"Hotel of… give me a second." Placing the mask on his face, Kuro starts checking the destination and the areas surrounding the structures. Once he's done, the mask is off and he whispers: "I suggest finding another location. Those pesky agents are around there."

Despite having the urge to ask about the mask, the soldier knows better to run off first. "I do have a place. But first..."

"Heard you."

With that, the group makes a move which causes the people nearby to make way for them. During the trip in Akihabara, Kuro throws out multiple spells that lock the cameras in time-loop, disguising the group as normal people around them, and illusions that move different ways (only the foreign agents can see them).

That doesn't mean he's not being distracted a lot due to the many colorful buildings and 'eye-catching' items being sold.

"Tempting to buy them?" Noticing how he's glancing at some 'interesting' magazines, Itami pats on Kuro's back.

"The girls back home are already a handful, thank you very much." He then grabs a magazine about current fashion and clothes style, he asks back: "Everyone's ready to leave?"

"Just pay and we can take off."

"…I don't expect you to pick her place. I mean, yeah, a friend's house, I can get behind it. But…"

"She's the closest one in walking distance, and we know each other well enough."

After the shopping, the group followed Itami to a 'safe place', which turned out to be his ex-wife's apartment room. Shocking moments passed by, and everyone settled down for the night, with some still up for conversation.

Kuro, currently transformed into Shanghai Doll so others can have a space to lie down, takes a seat on one of the book piles and continues: "Still, I would choose someone who's at least affiliated with the army or something. Risa is just a normal civilian."

"If we're being watched, then it's likely that anyone being in an Agency of sort would be as well." Itami counters lightly. "After Komakado retired…" That causes the doll to giggle. "There were not as many following us."

"…That's true." Tomita agrees. "Of course, with sir Kuro's help…"

"Not that much."

"That the attention towards us was lessened… What's the plan tomorrow?"

"Play. I'm not letting my vacation ruined. Wake me up at four." Itami answers with absolute certainty and then goes to sleep without a care.

That causes the doll to giggle more and say: "He and Neptune would go along extremely well."

"Hm… I assume the person's your friend in the new world?" Risa, now being used to the shock that a young man can turn himself into a doll, asks with curiosity.

"She is. She's still so lazy in maintaining her level that we need to drag her to the dungeon a few times a week."

"Can I have an image of her?" In response, the doll pulls out 'her' phone from thin air and gives the picture of the CPUs to the otaku. The girl looks at it and frowns: "I can search that on the internet."

"Oh, but that's the world I got dropped into."

"I saw how Commander and Kurata reacted when they heard about the world's name." Tomita says as Risa dramatically searches for the info of the CPUs. "May I ask if the world's that impressive?"

"Half and half, probably." The doll shrugs, and sees Risa getting the pictures of the Goddesses. "Oh, you know them too, huh?"

"Well… Itami did play some of them… What arc is it in now?"

"Already passed the last one in the canon timeline. I did change a lot of things though, so don't expect all things in the games to be correct."

"Why didn't you tell them about who you are? I mean, you are… what, a God also?"

"…I remember I did give out the reasons."

"You did, but…"

"I will stick with it." The phone then rings up, signaling a call coming in. The doll looks at the ID then swipes the receive-call button and answers: "Is there a problem on the front line, Histoire?"

"More of Scorched Earth's survivors, I'm afraid." The former Oracle of ruined Planeptune says as she turns the screen of her phone to the injured people behind her who are being treated by the soldiers. Risa and Tomita also lean a bit closer to see the screen. "We can send them to Count Formal and let him deal with them, but that risks the chance of some of the Empire's soldiers noticing and attacking mid-way. Letting them live here is another option, but…"

"Accepted." The doll replies with absolute authority. "If anyone dares questioning it, just tell them to do that to my face. When I return, I will try to arrange some discussions between the CPUs and the Princess of the Empire as well."

The Oracle nods, then notices the two staring at her besides the doll. "I didn't expect someone to still be awake at this hour…"

"One of them is having Blanc deadlines, and one is with me monitoring the areas around here." The doll's tone changes to a comical one. "Some foreign natives wanted to sneak up on us."

"…I know you are in a serious situation and want to lighten up the mood, but don't go and combine two opposite-meaning words with each other." Even she can't help but laugh at how he botched the words. "Good luck to you." And with that, the Oracle ends the call to deal with the current problem.

"How did you even call between universes?" Risa questions the possibility as the doll pockets the phone away.

"That's magic and all kinds of power coming into the play. I suggest you return to your work. I am not kidding with the 'Blanc deadlines' one."

The two then notice Tomita reaching into a pile of books and pulling out one.

"Oh hey, those books are…"

Risa's warning comes a bit too late.

Nighttime. Italica

"Information about survivors?"

"Yes. Of course, if you don't want to cooperate with this matter, I can understand. Just don't stand in our way."

"Oh no, I didn't intend to turn it down. After all, it's thanks to you… well, other you, I'm still here."

Count Formal was a little surprised when his maids informed him that the God himself requested for a late night conversation. However, when he met him face-to-face, he instantly realized the different air between the one standing before him and the one he met before. His bewilderment increased when he introduced himself as 'The other half' of the God. The authority from the person emits the same though, so at least he knows the person before him is not one to fight against.

"It's just that, the 'sellers' don't exactly care to keep any information about the slaves they have." The Count reasons. "And while I'm okay with buying them, I don't have anything to guarantee if I buy the right…"

"It's not about buying a person." He quickly shuts up, knowing that he must have used a very wrong word if the dangerous tone from the requester says anything to him. "Slaves are illegal in modern era. We don't have a problem if you pay the servants, but treating them like items is against the laws. That's why we're trying to find the kidnapped as fast as possible." The tone then lessens, allowing Formal to let out a sigh in relief. "Considering how you treat the servants of multiple races here, I believe you understand the matter most."

"…I do." He gives out the final answer. "We will help within our capacity."

"Thank you for your cooperation." The man nods and starts heading to the door…

"Sir… what's your name?"

"…I'm just an Observer."

Formal watches the man exiting the room and closing the door, and places his head on his left arm and thinks about the conversation…

"There's no need to harm your health on such matters, Count Formal." To his slight surprise, Mohmu and Persia enter the room as the latter speaks. "You can worry about it tomorrow. For now you should have a nice rest in your bed."

"…To be honest, I thought you would be more loyal to him than me. And Kaine to remind me that instead of you two."

"We placed trust in each other, not loyalty." Mohmu explains. "Normally madam Kaine would be the one doing so, but it is T.O you just talked with, so it's better that we escort you back."

"…I see." Deciding to listen to the maids, he leaves the seat and heads back to his bedroom, with the two maids following. "What kind of name is T.O?"

"He is 'The Observer'." The cat-servant replies. "We just shortened it."

"He has no names?"

"He doesn't need to have one."

"So… between him and sir Kuro…"

"They're equals in power."

"Then I must not anger him then… About the ones…"

"Like I said, sir, you just rest first. Risking a plan is never good."

"…I guess I will do so. You are dismissed."

"Hey, have you been checking on those little girls recently?"

"...Spectre, you purposely put the words in that way. And yes, I still did. Don't you have your own survivors' group to look after?"

"I made sure that they fell asleep…"

"By…"

"Naturally, Ghost, before I come here. Poor guys, having to run away from their own people."

"You don't say. Then again, it's humanity history's events here and there, not really a surprise. Anyway, our 'negotiation' with the Emperor might have… a couple of problems."

"Oh? You found something? Or it's from the Ghost Scout Team? But they're investigating the anomalies…"

"From them. They came across a city which we can call a Sage Town. They have some information about the ones on the top of the Empire."

"And?"

"The big guy is somewhat of Arcturus himself, might be worse if the Empire hasn't suffered a loss this bad before we arrive. His youngest daughter knows what she needs to do and we're working with her right now. The elder sons, on the other hand…"

"Like father, like son?"

"Could be worse, but that's the eldest one. The middle one, the Scouts didn't find anything that's too negative about. About the others around him… just human, I guess."

"So it's one against two."

"Three if you count the ones hating the Empire. The Bunny warriors are a perfect example."

"Does that include the one you're guarding?"

"She's one of the last, along with the one in Italica. They seem to hate their queen because she sold herself to live."

"...That's what you found, or…"

"Only from the girl's perspective. Something didn't add up, though."

"Obviously. But that's not what we're paid to care about."

"...Since when are we paid?"
